"Nosh your way through this sprawling shopping complex that houses scores of eateries in its plaza, including Ding Tai Fung (see separate listing). Popular Chinese chain Bingz specializes in crispy burgers, and Mei Nung Beef Noodle House is a mainstay for Taiwanese food. Beyond those heavy hitters, check out Wiang Kuk Thai Food, Malay Thai Famous Cuisine, Real Vegan Chinese Restaurant, KAKA All You Can Eat, Brown Donkatsu, Mabu Generation, and, for your fill of sweets, Patisserie Gateau. It’s amazing how magic reveals itself when we least expect. I went to this plaza so many times, mostly it was for Go Place, shopping, entertainment grocery and restaurants. I have never came in First Markham Place until 2 weeks ago. On that day my friends and I wanted to go to different destinations but it turned out in the same address. And to be completely honest, it was love as first sight ❤️ I loved the color, the calm atmosphere even the sellers & customers. The sellers didn’t seem to push and very kind in explaining stuff (I don’t speak Chinese) The vibe is nostalgic and bright. I almost got a little bit of everything. A mukbang. Sometime I got anxiety in place where people speak foreign language or do some hectic moves with the calculation or money. I completely felt serene here. The food is about 6-8/10 if you ask me. Some stalls offer truly great cuisine whereas some are only doing okay. I won’t say it here 😉 Overall this FMP provides quite a variety of goods, products & food. I would suggest you try Eggette, Frutti Mix (their pear ice w/kiwi is my fav), BBQ (both stores) has juicy chicken and roasted pork. The place seems to have solid customer base. On Sunday there was a very long line of customers waiting to be served… Sometime it doesn’t matter where you eat or what you consume, though these are important at times. Sometime you just want to feel the vibe and take all in, a part of the experience, where all is one and one is all. I found that in FMP when I needed it ❤️

Great place to relax & unwind by yourself or with family & friends! My second time to enjoy this place. Once for Mother's day & another for two milestones birthdays! A robot comes to your table & play a birthday song. There's a complimentary cheesecake for the birthday celebrant, if you let the attendant know. Highly recommended!

When we came to this mall, there's light shower. But once we got into the mall, we could freely navigate around different shops and food stalls with the sheltered corridor.

Wow! Truly surprised at how you are transported to an Asian world. All stores and restaurants are all Asian. It literally has hundreds of stores and so so many Asian eateries. In the food court, there are half a dozen BBQ places but two of them have long long lineups when we were there. Prices are still down to earth here for a meal. Negative: tough to find parking despite the size of the lot.

Google
First Markham Place (FMP) is a great mall that many people in Toronto love. It's especially popular for its amazing food options. The food here is really, really good. The food court has lots of different Asian foods to try. You can get Korean, Chinese, and Japanese dishes that taste just like they do back in Asia. Outside the mall, there are 23 more restaurants where you can sit down and enjoy a nice meal. The mall has pretty much everything you might need. There are over 170 stores and places to get stuff done. You can find fancy glasses stores with big brand names, and even some winter jackets that might be copies of expensive brands (but don't tell anyone I said that!). It's like a smaller, less busy version of Pacific Mall. Just so you know, parking can be a bit hard sometimes. When it's lunchtime or dinnertime, the parking lot gets super full. Its a really fun place to visit. It feels like a little piece of Asia right here in Toronto, but it's not as crowded as some other Asian malls. The food is so good that people come from all over just to eat here. Whether you want to eat, buy stuff, or just hang out, this mall has it all. Btw, they officially open at 10 but most stores don't open until around 11.

Google
Haven't been to this mall for many years. Back then most of the new restaurants outside of the mall were empty. The food court and the inside was the busiest. Now the opposite most of the cars parked outside are for so many different eateries outside together with the new supermarket. Inside is no longer as busy as before.

Google
This mall takes an extremely long time to park even on weekdays. Parking alone can take up to 30 minutes. This is a very slummy like mall and the food choice is not diverse and good. We have even seen reports of children working in these shops which is not a very ethical look on this mall.

Google
I visited late in the evening because of work. I was surprised by the cleanness and splendor. I didn't feel bad about the expensive admission fee and the extra charge after 2 a.m. This place was like a completely different world. The food was delicious and clean. There is one important tip. You must have an ID to enter at the entrance. The moment you enter, you receive a bracelet with a number on it, which becomes a credit card and ID card here. There are employees everywhere to keep customers safe even late at night. It is equipped with airplane first-class chairs, movie theaters, restaurants, recreation rooms, massage rooms, and fitness rooms. It is superior to Korea, the origin of sauna. I would recommend that everyone not hesitate to experience a new world.

Yelp
Craving or not, you have to try these foods and you will order more. The next time you come here explore your cravings. Have your tummy happy

Yelp
Tried both of the BBQ stalls, you can't miss them. They're the two stalls with the longest lines. Lines moved fairly quickly and service was quick. BBQ portions are generous and there is plenty of seats at the food court. Nice midday pick me up.

Yelp
They have a huge food court with a variety of cuisines to choose. They even have poutine, which is the Canadian version of French fries. The shopping area is spacious and clean. The Chinese herbal stores and optical care stops are too many to count. Hongkongers who are homesick would love this place.

Yelp
A popular Chinese/ Asian plaza with lots of food options and stores. The entire plaza has many individual restaurants but also has a mall section to it as well. You can find whatever Asian cuisine you'd like, ranging from Chinese, Korean, Japanese and more. The parking situation is not the greatest here, as it's hard to find parking at any hour of the day. There's also a supermarket, Freshway, that makes the plaza more lively and busy. Go Place is also attached to this mall, a 24 hour spa where you can lounge around, eat and use their different relaxation facilities. Inside of the mall you'll find a food court with many options, some of them being the famous bbq meat stalls, dumplings, HK favourites, Thai, bubble tea and more. You can also find a range of stores like cell phone carriers, glasses stores, Chinese herbal stores, and more. There's lots to look at in this plaza with the main focus being on food. You can get food items ranging from cheap to expensive here since there's the food court or dining in at the restaurants. Many stores to check out that sell an abundance of different things. A great spot to stop by if you're visiting Markham for the first time.

Yelp
This was another outing with my cousins, exposing them to more of what our great city has to offer. We ended up at the food court in First Markham Place, one of the best around. We each ordered from a different place and shared it all. First up, was BBQ Duck and Roast Pork over rice, from HKS BBQ. This included vegetables and soup. Delicious! Lunch Box provided a combo meal that included lamb, pork, noodles, rice, and soup. The portions were huge, and it all tasted great! We got a vegetarian Pad Thai from Wiangkuk Thai Food that was also very good. One of my cousins picked up a Teriyaki Chicken that was a huge portion, and also included soup. I'm not sure which vendor provided that but it was good. We also got Scallion Pancakes that were really good. Bubble Teas completed our meal! It's hard to beat the food at this place. It was a good day of eating. We all enjoyed all the food and ended up taking home leftovers. After a very filling lunch, we explored the shops. There were a lot of interesting places but we were disappointed to find several of them closed for the day.

Yelp
I drop by First Markham Place (FMP) in spurts. I can't explain why. I used to bring my parents over here to shop. We'd basically go to Chinese medicine places to get various herbal remedies. We'd then hit the food court and find something yummy to snack on or actually have lunch. We like the cheap good eats here! In a nutshell, FMP is an Asian mall. However, it has businesses that aren't indoors, so it feels like a plaza. All that feels like eons ago. These days, my dad and I tend to get takeout, and we all enjoy it at their place or mine. There are two BBQ stands in the food court that do great business. They both offer yummy barbequed pork and more. I don't get food there often. Rather, my dad does and I devour the pork with the crispy skin as if it were my final days on Earth. Yummy! Within the last couple of years, I have frequented FMP more than I had expected. It started with OOMOMO, a discount Japanese store with the coolest products, from skin care, to slippers. It is deadly, but an enjoyable store to drop by, shop, and spend your hard-earned money. Lately, I have discovered Bingz Crispy Burger. The signature sandwich is my addiction. I dream of the perfectly seasoned, tender pork between two flaky, crunchy buns. I also have a thing for any wonton item on their menu, from chilli oil wontons, to wonton soup. A couple of doors down is Patisserie Gateau. Although I arrived late to fetch protein-filled buns a few Tuesdays ago, I did manage to get a slice of the tiger skin pattern swiss roll. OMG! It was the best swiss roll that I have had in a long time. I'd drop by just for my swiss roll fix. There are so many eateries that I still need to visit. It's a cool mall-plaza combo. I hope to hit FreshWay supermarket in the near future. It does get busy at FMP, especially on weekends. It's perfectly fine on weeknights when I tend to fetch takeout for dinner. Parking is free. I haven't had any issues finding parking when I'm here. (182)

Yelp
Little sister of Pacific Mall. The mall is tiny and is never as crazy as said P-mall. Lots of cheap food choices at the food court. However, the back alley of the food court stink all the time. I have never used their washrooms and hope I don't have to. Difficult and limited entrances.. It is no wonder driving there is also so stressful as it is very hard to find a parking spot. I wish they could demolish some of the buildings to open up additional parking spots and spaces. I am surprised no one got killed or hit. You will constantly see cars fighting for a parking spot with cursing ensues...Just park further and walk over.

Yelp
A true Asian experience as all shops food and visitors are mostly Asians. I don't think I heard a single English word spoken during my numerous visits. Huge free parking lot, many stand alone restaurants along the perimeter in addition to their very popular food court. Got phone hardware/bill problems, all major phone companies are located in here In the mood for Thai food. One of the better known vendors are located in this food court. Like BBQ meats, 2 very popular vendors located in food court although lines very long during peak meal periods Need Chinese groceries, Freshco loaded at end of mall. You need it, they got it. That's all I got to say (mike drop!)

Yelp
This is a very large outdoor Asian mall that opened in 1998. It has 170 shops. It has a little more of a traditional indoor mall feel as compared to the glass and steel look and feel that Pacific Mall has and which opened just 2 years earlier. It's set up in a huge V shape and I like these massive Asian malls because I can get a lot of fitness steps in as I look around, both inside and outside, and while the wives spend all our money. As usual there is a food court with a huge number of delicious eateries. I saw at lunch time that a couple of Chinese BBQ shops had some ridiculously low priced and delicious looking meal combos and they were very popular.

Yelp
This review is of the food court of FMP. If you're looking for delicious Asian cuisine, look no further than FMP! This food court has a wide variety of dishes from different Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and more. The food here is great - every dish I've tried has been flavorful, and authentic. Some of my favorite dishes include the fried pork buns, roast duck, and the red curry. The food court is well-maintained, with plenty of seating available for customers. And, the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. Overall, I highly recommend FMP for anyone who loves trying a variety of food. Whether you're in the mood for noodles, dumplings, or something else entirely, you're sure to find something delicious here. Don't miss out on this amazing food court!

Yelp
It's a nice mall but the layout is not easy to memorize. Other than that, you'll find a variety of stores here along with a food court. There are also several empty units probably due to the pandemic which is closing in on 22 months so far. Parking is plenty but the recent GTA mega snow storm turned many spots into mountains of snow.
google avatar

Yelp
A mall way out in the burbs of Markham which is bursting at the seams with inexpensive, tasty, stick to the ribs primarily Chinese food (mostly Cantonese), but there are also Korean options. There are Chinese herbalists, beverage places, dessert places, designer eyewear, jewellery shops and an abundance of little shops, reminiscent of Hong Kong. We feel comfortable here. This was our first venture to FMP in almost 3 years. Sadly, a few of the businesses have shuttered. Still the same pleasant vibe as before.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Parking lot is zoo. Once you get inside you feel the asian HK ambience with the shops, jewelry stores, and home accessories stores. We always go there for the foodcourt food if you would like to hangout with family without committing to pay for everyone else meals as in a restaurant because we cant even fit. They food is made fresh and the bbq house restaurant is a must. The lineup though.. not a fan. Wish they had a bigger location.
google avatar

Phil Y.

Yelp
It's one of the largest Asian Malls around. But, I wasn't here to shop. I was told to come here for the food at the food court. It's the largest Asian food court around. California doesn't have any food courts with as many restaurants as this place. Prices are very reasonable. Coming from the USA, it was even better for us because of the exchange rate. Other than food, are there really any shops here?
google avatar

Bruce F.

Yelp
Looks can be deceiving. Looks like a strip mall from the outside, but there are many good Asian fast food restaurants within. There is always a line up for the BBQ places. The sushi is made fresh in somefast food places.
google avatar

Naomi R.

Yelp
It's one of the only malls in the area that has a healthy change and growing of different variety and snack stores. I love that they have many different Asian cuisines here. Packed with glasses and jewelry stores, niche item variety stores, and a large food court; I would highly recommend anyone to swing by when they have the time. Parking is a fight though, as some people can drive pretty quick and recklessly at times.

Yelp
Location This place is on Highway 7, west of Woodbine - so about a block or so off Highway 404 exit. It's a very spacious plaza with a lot parking - but it is extremely packed during rush hour (pre-covid) time - highly suggest to park far if you don't want to wait and fight for a parking spot. With COVID in place, the lot is a lot quieter now - but do be careful of parking as the spots are a little tight. Inside I like their social distance measurements that's taken place. Specific signs of entry/exit signs - with other doors blocked off with tape. All entrances are 'handless' - they have a signal for you to wave and it opens automatically for you. There are also temperature check stations with security guards that ensure you are safe to enter. Hand sanitizers and arrow signs are everywhere to ensure a safe distance between everyone. Shops Not a lot of variety of stores in this plaza - mostly occupied by optical stores, cell phone accessories and some boutiques. The plaza does have a dental, doctor's office and pharmacy - which is convenient in that sense. Primarily this place is for food purposes - they have a giant food court, and a few small pick up groceries/bakeries. The food court is now empty with no seats cause of COVID - but usually it is packed with a lot of tables for people to dine in. There's also a stage by the food court when certain events occur. Other than that, there's not a lot of 'entertainment' to go at this place - unless you need food or have a specific thing you know they have.

Yelp
First time here visiting from Calif. many food selections and stores. Place are super clean.

Yelp
Growing up as a kid, I always came to this plaza. More specifically for its food court. Not too much has changed since then, although there has been some new food stalls I haven't tried. My favourite stall will always be the one with BBQ goods or Korean Express. The prices are very reasonable. There are many options that are under $10 if you're looking for cheap eats. There's a greater variety of cuisine at this food court: Chinese, Thai, HK, Japanese, Korean, etc. Please note that the food court is usually cash only. It does tend to be quite busy during lunch times even on weekdays (for workers lunch breaks) and it can be fairly hard to find a table during meal time. Weekends can be generously busy as well. There's usually less people in the later afternoon and evening. Parking is very challenging to find during peak hours. With consideration that this plaza has lots of restaurants outside as well so be prepared to wait for a spot when it's lunch and dinner time. Regardless, it's a great plaza to go to for a cheap meal at the food court or dine in at a restaurant.

Yelp
Another day, another visit to K.S. BBQ House cause I was craving some BBQ pork over rice. I always rave about this place for being cheap in price (only $6.75 WITH tax included, for both the BBQ pork over rice and a drink) and being large in portions! I mean, look at my picture! From an aerial view, the meat completely covers the rice and veggies. The two sisters that run this place every day from morning till night, are also extremely friendly and efficient in what they do since they've been at it for decades. This place just can't be beat!
google avatar

Samantha Y.

Yelp
FMP is like a typical Asian mall with stores for glasses, cellphone accessories, dried seafood, ginseng, many misc stores, and FOOD. We mainly come here for food. They have a food court with many options from Chinese bbq, Korean, Thai, bubble tea, and many more! They also have restaurants outside. It's similar to Pmall, but a less crowded and smaller. Parking is a pain here. There's many parking spots but its always full! Be prepared to wait!
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Home of my favourite food court in all the malls I've ever been to, that's the thing that draws me here. I assure you it isn't the parking lot that brings me back, nor the suburban location. But the food court - it's something to see. It's also worth noting that there are some neat shops here with cute things. But most of them can be directly ordered from overseas at a fraction of the cost...
google avatar

Jay L.

Yelp
First Markham Place is the place to be for cheap, cheerful, and delicious food. Don't let the food court vibe fool you because there are some great meals being served here at very affordable prices. Depending on your hunger level, you may want to eat at 2 or 3 of these places! You want some BBQ duck noodle soup? Head over to Extra BBQ House You want some down-home style pork bone soup made with love by some Korean animus? Hoho Korean Food is the place you want to be. Fancy an avocado shake? Go over to Fruitti Mix for their daily special. The plaza itself has a large handful of traditional sit down restaurants that offer a wide range of Asian cuisines, desserts, and shops to browse when the mall is closed.
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
We come to this plaza pretty often, but beware of parking during peak hours. There will be a mess of cars waiting in aisles to take parking spots as they open up! The food court here is perfect for great eats for cheap. The stores are typical to the ones that you'd find at Pacific mall... phone case stores, jewelry stores, optical stores (LOTS of optical stores), wedding stores, gift shops, hair salons, etc. This plaza if very close to WinCo and Winners, which we almost always visit before/after going to FMP as part of our errands.
google avatar

Kristy N.

Yelp
Parking is ALWAYS a problem at FMP. Well, maybe it got a little better after the movie theatre closed, but on weekends, we would still be parking over where WinCo and HomeDepot are, or at the theatre parking spaces. First Markham Place is home to many East Asian restaurants including, but not limited to dim sum, Vietnamese food, noodles, dumplings, Chinese, Japanese, Shanghai foods, desserts, mini cafes and much more. Inside First Markham Places houses a few shops and a food court with more food options. The shops in my opinion aren't too attractive and not worth roaming around at all. Perhaps if they spaced out the restaurants around the entire First Markham place, it would help. In addition, I think if they were planning a renovation of this place, they could add a parking building and fun activities for young people to enjoy (e.g. pool tables, karaoke, an arcade, etc.)
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
The best place here is the food court. Oh wait, no it's the Japanese 2$ store. Oh but the 7$ BBQ meats combos.... Okay, it's a tie between the food court and that big Japanese store that I spent two hours in. This mall is great for the food. The prices are absolutely amazing. For under 5$, you can get a big bowl of your favorite congee. For 7$, you can get a plate of rice with veggies and fresh chopped up bbq duck, chicken, or roast pork. I didn't see a ton of good stores for clothing but for the food court alone, I'll be back!
google avatar

Kimberly J.

Yelp
Parking can be nuts. Other than that, this place has a plethora of places to eat at. Restaurants everywhere and a food court inside the mall. The food court is awesome. You can get a filling meal with a drink for about $5. It's all authentic tasting. They have the usual cutsie stores that sell Hello Kitty items, etc. Bubble tea shops and Chinese bakeries, this mall has you covered. If you're at First Markham Place, a must try is Ding Tai Fung. Soup dumplings are delicious!
google avatar

Alice C.

Yelp
We have been coming here for ages now. We are here everytime we're at the food court. The drinks are nice and for $2.50 inc tax, they are fantastic value. We usually get the fruit flavoured green teas with tapioca. The tapioca is usually soft and cooked through. I prefer that to undercooked and hard tapioca. The staff are all lovely at this place. I came here first and have never tried another bubble tea place because it's great here and we've had no issues with drinks. We've had their dessert crepes a few times too. They are ok for a quick dessert. They have a loyalty stamp card too. Buy 7 same priced drinks and get the 8th for free.

Yelp
When I think about First Markham Place, I think about Food Food Food and more food!! It is like a giant Food Court, anything Asian you can find it here! Most of the restaurants here are reasonably priced and being in such a competitive environment, all of them have to be excellent and good value if not they won't be in business for long...... the turnover of business here is so fast and frequent!! Parking can be a hassle on weekend, but this is nothing when compare to Pacific Mall!! I love to come here whenever I have no idea what I am going to have for lunch, and I always find something to eat!!!
google avatar

Yelp
We can sum this place up in a few words - PMALL Jr. or PMALL Wannabe. The place is not as big as PMALL but houses the same essential pieces - lots of cellular accessories, juice places, tech stores, opticals, and NO PARKING. Same, same, same, same,... It does have one big diff maker. I enjoy the restaurants littered throughout outside of the mall a heck of a lot more than those at PMALL. I usually go there when I don't want to go all the way to the Markham/Scarborough border. For a couple of bucks more I get the same cheap stuff, and I save gas and time.

Yelp
This place has unfortunately taken a bit of a hit over the years. While the shops are definitely not the reason you'd come here, if you did find something you previously liked, it might be gone soon. Uny and SmartMaple, my two favourites, are now sadly gone. There are more cell phone accessory shops and I honestly don't know why they 'all' go into that business. Some of the food court shops are also increasing their prices with no benefit to the customer, which is upsetting. One of the noodle places I go to, early last year, increased their prices and then later that year, also removed the free pop that you'd get with the meal, replacing that with water or soy milk, neither of which I generally drink with meals. Everything else still applies here. The food court is still super clean, the shop owners are still generally nice and I haven't actually seen one of their louder events being held there for a while now, which are all positives. But I generally just go here to grab a quick meal now and not much more.

Yelp
3.5/5, +.5 for service After coming here a few more times, I can confirm the first time I ordered here was a one-off incident. Service has improved so much here that the owners memorized my order and try to add other perks to it too. The iced lemon tea with tapioca is still my standard bubble tea order for this place, and I'm still satisfied with it given the $2.50 price (and let's be honest...Magic Fusion can't make an iced lemon tea drink to help themselves these days). They recently added curry beef and fish balls for $1.50 to their menu, in which you get nine pieces. I've had that a few times and surprisingly they actually taste good! I've officially ditched Tasty House for this stall, not because one tastes better than the other, but my dad and I have built a good connection with them in which they know exactly what we want, what they offer is of good value, and Tasty House is simply too busy these days.

Yelp
Nice little shop located in the food court of First Markham Place. They sell a variety of drinks. From coffee to bubble teas. They also have fresh fruit drinks and smoothies. Their drinks are tax included. They also serve a few different dessert such as dessert crepes and savoury crepes. My parents really like the coffee here because it's really strong. As for me I find it a little too strong that it's bitter. They also add a little too much sugar so it's a little too sweet. A little pricey. The cup of coffee is price at $3. It's pretty much double the price of a medium coffee at Tim Hortons. Overall, nice place to drinks. Service was fast and simple. P.S. be sure to grab yourself a stamp card as they offer a free drink after you buy 7.

Yelp
Much better but much smaller than Pacific Mall if your looking for more local travel agencies and a variety your typical product offerings like genuine statues of comic book heroes/villans and herbal meds-this is the one. A good choice at the food court from Korean, Thai, Chinese food...$-$$. Only beef, hard to find parking during lunch and dinner hours.

Yelp
Decided to do a review on this place now, better late than never right? If Pacific Mall had a baby, it would be this. First Markham Place or better known to locals as FMP is the junior version of the Pacific Mall & Markham Village combo. The mall itself is so small that you could finish walking the whole thing in less than 20 minutes (okay let's be fair, and say 30 minutes lols). The highlight of FMP comes in the food market; it is literally surrounded by amazing food (e.g., AYCE Sushi, Vietnamese food, Taiwanese food, Desserts, Korean Food, etc.). It is a small Asian pocket of Markham that boasts a lot of traffic. This leads me to the next discussion, parking. It is a total nightmare, even after the theatre closed down, there STILL isn't enough parking. This mall knows no limits.

Yelp
First Markham Place has an awesome food court and I am giving it 4 stars solely on that. The shops here are strange. This place is a little bit like Pacific Mall. There are lots of places that sell ginseng and other Chinese medicine items, lots of opticals, lots of jewelers, and a handful of Asian clothing shops. This is not a place that I would go to shop, but it is definitely a place to go to eat!! The food court is fairly large and everything is cheap. Many dishes are less than $6 and they include a free tea or soy milk. Bubble Tea here is around $2.50 tapioca and taxes included! There was one place that had it for as little as $2 and another that was 2 for $3.50. The Cantonese Chow Mein ($5.50) at Markham Delight is delicious. They are generous with the toppings and the noodles are crispy. The free soy milk was good. The food at HKS BBQ is also awesome. The BBQ Pork is lean and flavourful. Their Roast pork and Peking duck on rice with broccoli ($5.95) is really good. Huge portion with lots of meat! The free cold sweet iced tea was awesome! The Pad Thai at Malay Thai ($5.97) is ok. I probably wouldn't order it again. Small shrimp, small slivers of chicken, and strange tofu pieces. Nothing really special. The free hot tea was a little bitter. The bubble tea ($2.50) at Fruitti Mix was not great. The tapioca was soft and mushy and the lychee milk tea had hardly any lychee flavour to it. I will try one of the other bubble tea places next time. Outside of the mall there are tons of sit down restaurants in a long row. I haven't tried any of them yet. But I would say that this is a good place to go eat because you have a lot of selection between the food court and sit down restaurants.

Yelp
After having a poor experience at Pacific Mall (populated by mobile and electronic accessory stores, snack shops, and miscellaneous items) I decided to give First Markham Place a shot with my fiance, his brother and wife. We've eaten in this complex 2-3 times during our trip in Markham, but didn't walk into the mall until one afternoon. First Markham Place felt a lot better in terms of ventilation (it felt a lot cooler here), less crowded and a lot more variety of stores. The washroom was horrible! It felt like a classic stinky Chinatown (NYC) restaurant bathroom. We came here so I could find a gift for my baby niece and we came across a shop that had a lot of Hello Kitty items and gifts and I found the perfect Hello Kitty doll for baby niece. After we walked around we ended up stopping by the food court and got some fresh mango smoothies that were quite tasty. Overall, a pretty average shopping complex with endless food options as well. I liked coming here more than Pacific Mall as it was just too crowded and super hot and humid inside. I wouldn't mind coming back here again.

Yelp
Great food court but nothing much else. This plaza is not a great place for shopping but it's a great place to get a bite to eat. Parking is usually a nightmare. People can't drive and the parking is always filled up so if you got a meet, don't be late. Really not much to say about this place other than that.

Yelp
You might as well be in China. That is the setting for this mall. What I dislike is the lack of parking - imagine at one time there also was a cinema here - as like all malls they build and build and overbuild not caring where anyone would park, the depressing lighting, the dirty 'wash'rooms and fake Japanese items (of which no one in Japan has heard! "Burnt Japanese Coffee" anyone?). What I like are the variety and cheap prices for the pan-Asian junk food on sale here. There are a couple of good restaurants outside if fast food will not cut it and even more options behind the main area of the mall to the south. What I really like is that they do not have chain fast food and junk shops here. There is a bank, but otherwise you don't find McDonalds (for people to poison and kill off their kids), Starbucks and Tim Hortons here. Hooray for new and unique experiences! No thanks to fake sushi and ramen (stick with the Chinese food there).

Yelp
This place is a copy cat of what they offer next door. From signage to specialty drinks to crepes. Now they even sell breakfast and meals. For a place that fit like two people you can think how fresh are their ingredients if they can make meals, crepes, bubble teas, juices, breakfasts, everything u can think of at a CHEAP price. You give that a thought. How good/fresh are these drinks/food for such a low price. The taste is not the same. If you support plagiarism and fake cheap drinks then go ahead. What you give is what you get. My experience was disgusting.

Yelp
It's one of the bigger and better Chinese malls in the Markham/Richmond Hill area. You can tell that management does make an effort to keep things up to date, limit the number of for lease/empty stores, etc. There's a massive variety of stores here, although almost all of them are run by Chinese people. There are a ton of glasses shops, clothing stores, mobile carrier stores, spas/massage places, snack shops, travel agencies, etc. The food court has a good mix of different types of Asian food - lots of bubble tea and snacks there! And it's not your typical food court foods - keep in mind, there are no Tim's, McDonalds, Starbucks, etc. in this mall at all! Outside the mall, there are a ton of other food options too - still primarily Asian - e.g. Shanghai, Korean, Breakfast food, etc. One huge caveat is that the parking here can be a nightmare on Friday nights and weekends. Most people try to park close to mall entrances, but truth be told, if you're willing to walk a little bit more, you won't need to wait for a parking spot at all.

Yelp
This place is great for food. Everything else doesn't seem to get much action Venders: 3/5 A miss match of shops. Not much. Busyness: 4/5 Food court is busy. The rest is not. Environment: 4/5 Meh. Parking: 2/5 Hard to find parking at dinner time. Washroom: 2/5 Could be better. Big shout outs to the watch store. I always get a better price here than anywhere else. He doesn't stock many high end watches but he will order it in for you.

Yelp
Such good food. So much variety. I would highly recommend the "Sushi" place, and the Thai. Amazing. My go too family meal place

Yelp
Oh, no thank you! I don't know what is wrong about this place but their drinks are way too different from other places. I mean it's not too bad, but they do not add that much fruit as other places and their sago seemed to be old. Can't put my finger on it, but something is wrong here. A note to myself - do not come here again.

Yelp
I went to both Pacific Mall and this place and I preferred First Markham Place. It is set up like a traditional western mall, and there seems to be a little rhyme and reason to how things are laid out. They have a designated food court where the majority of the eateries are located and overall, I just found the mall to be cleaner. There are a smaller number of vendors here, but enough for this tourist to enjoy. On top of this, there are several interesting restaurants outside the mall that share the same parking lot. If I had to choose one over the other, this place wins.

Yelp
I usually only come here for the food court (chinese bbq or bubble tea). My parents come here for the chinese dried good shops. I now have another reason to come here, that new japanese inspired dollar store that is in the same building. Some other stores you will find here are eyeglass wear, travel agencies, and cell phone gadgets. Parking here is really full over the weekends, but I am always able to find a spot tho it may be a little further away from the entrance doors.

Yelp
Parking, also known as, do you wanna give up on life? Parking is so so so so bad here, especially on weekends, oh my goodness. The mall is like a crap version of pacific mall, except an expensive version. Phone cases/stickers here are $5+ more than pacific mall, so ew. No. Avoid. If you need phone screen protectors, hit up pacific mall because it's only $5-$10 there and they help you put it on. Places here are like $15-20 for a screen protector (and they help you put it on as well if you ask). However, a few places suck at putting it on, I paid and I got bubbles in the protector within a few minutes. Not good. The food court is pretty good, there's cheap pho, jap chae, gamjatang, etc. It's not a bad price either, and not bad for what you pay for. The best thing is probably the bubble tea places! There's two right beside each other and bbt is only $2.50 (tax included + free topping). Of course, it's not as quality as chatime but the bubble tea is not bad! Also, they have burnt japanese coffee, which is a gem to find. Mall is too small for my liking, and there's like a gazillion optical and ginseng stores.. literally RIGHT. BESIDE. EACH OTHER. I don't understand.

Yelp
I love this place. I always eat here growing up with my family. They have such large variety of asian foods. Their service is very quick and their food is delicious. Lots of seating area and good deals!

Yelp
Since my last visit here, their milk tea bubble tea has definitely improved! $3.50 for a medium bubble tea is a steal compared to the big chains, for the same quality! Get the taiwan milk tea! It's sweet, not too strong, and creamy. It's delicious. They're also really nice here. The lady and her daughter (I think) are so sweet. I liked it so much that I returned in the same day, hahaha. I got 2 mediums for the price that 1 costs downtown; I couldn't resist.
