Obviously on Sunday brunch you can expect brunch places to be busy, but not only did we have to wait 30 minutes to be sat, we had to wait an hour for the food. An hour — with minimal communication! I don’t mind waiting an hour for a Michelin level restaurant…. But it’s first watch.
The extent of the wait times was not communicated, and people were continually being sat despite the delays. Not only that, but when I addressed the issue with whom I believed was a manager, nothing was done.
Our server was kind enough but she was aloof, and it seemed like she was avoiding the table for fear of having to address the fact we’ve been waiting an hour for food. Which, I understand, but come on. And the nerve to have a sign saying “if we brightened your morning”…. Yeah… right….
All in all, just be mindful of the fact that it’s poorly organized and don’t come hungry. The food was yummy, but not worth an hour’s wait.
However, I should mention that I spoke with a manager at the end and I asked for some sort of compensation due to the situation, and she was able to comp one of our meals. It’s not a long term fix (especially if you have to do that for everyone), but it’s a start.
