First Watch Opens in Reynoldstown, Jimmy’s Z Kitchen Opens in Marietta, and Hi-Pot Taiwanese Restaurant Opens in Doraville, Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A Florida-based breakfast and brunch chain that opened at the Madison Yards complex on Bill Kennedy Way, serving a wide morning-focused menu ranging from toasts, grain bowls, and salads to pancakes, omelettes, and frittatas; this marks another addition to its nine other metro Atlanta locations." - Beth McKibben

Obviously on Sunday brunch you can expect brunch places to be busy, but not only did we have to wait 30 minutes to be sat, we had to wait an hour for the food. An hour — with minimal communication! I don’t mind waiting an hour for a Michelin level restaurant…. But it’s first watch. The extent of the wait times was not communicated, and people were continually being sat despite the delays. Not only that, but when I addressed the issue with whom I believed was a manager, nothing was done. Our server was kind enough but she was aloof, and it seemed like she was avoiding the table for fear of having to address the fact we’ve been waiting an hour for food. Which, I understand, but come on. And the nerve to have a sign saying “if we brightened your morning”…. Yeah… right…. All in all, just be mindful of the fact that it’s poorly organized and don’t come hungry. The food was yummy, but not worth an hour’s wait. However, I should mention that I spoke with a manager at the end and I asked for some sort of compensation due to the situation, and she was able to comp one of our meals. It’s not a long term fix (especially if you have to do that for everyone), but it’s a start.

Aesthetically, this is the nicest location I've been to. There's an outdoor patio and seating, and it's very nice looking. I hate to report, but the service was very slow; they appeared to prioritize their mobile orders over their dine-in customers. We waited a full 35 minutes on an empty Tuesday morning. The waitress was pleasant, but she didn't check up on us a whole lot. The food took a while, and was JUST warm. I think the staff should pay attention a little closer to quality and less chuckling. I think the workplace should be pleasant for its workers, but they need to understand that work is most important. (I'm not referring to our waitress.)

1st visit. Will definitely return. Loved my dish ( some type of hash) Great atmosphere n service. The get in line feature is helpful.

We have visited 3 First Watches in the Atlanta area; Tucker, Decatur, and Atlanta (this one). This one, by far is our favorite. It is much bigger than Tucker and Decatur! Our server was very bubbly and friendly. The food was delicious 😋 and the atmosphere was a fun city feel. All of the First Watch restaurants are great, by the way. This one just happens to be our favorite 😍 !

This location has great food, it’s clean, and the staff is kind, welcoming, and friendly. My food came out quickly. It’s located beside First Watch on Atlanta Road. I’d rank this spot a close third, since Peachtree Corners is still my top favorite. I ordered the biscuit with turkey sausage and egg whites, along with the kids’ half waffle topped with bananas and strawberries, plus chicken sausage on the side. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Cons: The only downside is the pesky outdoor flies — they’re pretty bad and make the patio less enjoyable

Jazmin was our server and she exceeded my expectations. The manager, Emily, also spoke with us. She is a breath of fresh air because you know she loves her job. It’s amazing seeing a good manager in action. My mom and I could not stop gushing over how kind the entire staff was from our first step into the restaurant to our exit after the meal! Everyone was so kind. This was our first time here, so the menu was thoroughly explained to us and Jazmin was quick to answer any questions we had. Perfect for a breakfast, birthday brunch, or just for fun! We will definitely be returning and I couldn’t recommend this location more!

Came in on a Saturday morning, the parking lot was pretty packed and the wait was about 30 mins for a party of 3. Once we were seated we glanced over the menu which had a lot of good options plus additional things on their summer menu. We put in our order and honestly the wait for the food was a bit long. There was one error with a meal and the wait to get that corrected was much too long. Overall it was a nice place, very clean, food was good, bathrooms were in good shape. I would come back to this location if I’m back in Atlanta.

This was my first time at this First Watch location, and it did not disappoint! The food is so fresh and delicious, with plenty of healthy options—vegetarian, gluten-free, turkey sausage, fresh fruit, and veggies. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. Our server was fantastic—attentive and thoughtful, and when she realized we were in a bit of a hurry, she stepped up to make sure we could get out on time. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming, making it a great spot for breakfast or brunch. Highly recommend!
