"With a brunch menu on offer seven days a week, First Watch fully embraces the wonders of the mid-morning meal. The health-conscious crowd is well-served here with dishes like avocado toast on thick slices of whole wheat bread and the A.M. superfoods bowl made with coconut milk chia seed pudding. But classic brunch warriors can relax — the menu also features a parma hash with Italian sausage and lemon ricotta pancakes." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Call ahead... especially for large groups!!! We were a group of 12, and they managed to sit us at 3 different tables close to one another. VERY busy location, BUT WORTH IT! Try the purple haze drink. Only 1 thing I think could be better: women's bathroom toilet seat looks permanently stained. I don't know. I didn't really check to see if it would come off. It needs replacing or scrubbing.

Google
Very busy at this location this morning. The host advised of a 30 minute wait or eating at the bar. The First Watch in our hometown doesn't offer this option. We went to the bar and were served within 10-15 minutes. Awesome food and service.

Google
This is probably one of the best breakfast places I have ever been to. Not only was the staff and our waitress kind and helpful, the food and drinks were incredible and reasonably priced. I would 100% recommend this to anybody visiting Tennessee!

Brittney Bleazard

Google
It was my first time eating here and new to the area. The lemon blueberry cornbread is a show stopper! So delish and flavorful. The chikichanga is also so good and very filling. I'm looking forward to going back for more. The service was really quick, but not rished and kind servers!

Google
We had the Best experience! We wanted to order the whole menu, it all looked so good. We ended up choosing 2 meals, the Million$ Bacon, and 2 different flavor pancakes, 2 health juices with vitamin boost shots!! It was all so beautifully plated and delicious 😀 felt like breakfast, lunch and dessert all in 1 meal. Our server, Supattra was extremely polite and well mannered. I would highly recommend First Watch.

Claire Perky

Google
I thought the food was excellent, and a great value for the choices, the service was quick and efficient. They even thought of bringing lidded waters to the children! The atmosphere was pleasant and friendly, although a bit crowded. I just loved it and I recommend it highly! Family-friendly!!

Google
Great food and great service. I almost have a 4 star because the got the eggs wrong on my Eggs Benedict and the tomatoes were not grilled but the place was slammed and I could tell where the dish was going if the kitchen was not backed up. Even with a line out the door my family was seated fast and the service was quick. If I was a local First Watch would surely be a weekly must. Oh and the chicken patty sausage was AMAZING! Grits were on point as well.

Google
Definitely not my favorite place. My wife and I visited for breakfast on a weekday. The restaurant is smaller but was dirty on our visit. There was crayons, juice, syrup on the floor. Our table was dirty on one side and one of the chairs had juice all over it. We asked the hostess that was seating us if someone could clean it. Her response was “is someone going to sit there”. It was a four top table and my wife and I were able to choose other chairs to sit, but that was not the answer I was looking for. I didn’t want to sit at a table that clearly had not been cleaned. As we waited for our order we noticed there were other areas around the restaurant that were dirty as well. I might be picky, but cleanliness at a restaurant is very important to me. This place was definitely not clean on our visit. The food was good. Our server was adequate. We needed to ask for silverware, drink refills and part of our order was left in the kitchen and needed to be remade when we asked about it. The decor was nice. The bathrooms needed attention. I understand that mistakes can happen and really tried to have an open mind about this place. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Unfortunately, our experience was not good and we don’t have plans on returning.

James W.

Yelp
Nice spot to enjoy really good food. Service was great as our server had a nice pace with our order hitting the table. She was knowledgeable about the menu items and made great recommendations. Ambiance is ok just a nice place all around to visit for non traditional food items.

Debbie H.

Yelp
Been coming to this First Watch for over 4 years. Sadly have seen and tasted the quality of food coming out of this kitchen go down. Today is an example. I was served burnt sausages. Was told by the server she decided to send them out anyway. Her reason, was some people like them burnt. Instead of asking me she just assumed. UNBELIEVABLE and the worst server in common sense. The manager was worse. Showed them to him and he just had a weird look on his face and walked to the kitchen. Never came back to say anything. He was forced to talk to me when I paid our bill. Just said "I asked and really got no answer." WTH!! you're the manager. DEMAND better. No offer to remove the cost from the bill. No effort to make it right. I did finally ask for bacon. Guess that seemed the answer to them. Our potatoes were not done. Still crunchy raw. Needless to say, we will never go back. Not Just because of the food but the attitude of the server and manager SUCKED big time.

Monica J.

Yelp
Kind and prompt staff! Great menu of options and cute brunch vibe. The food was delicious and not egregiously expensive!

Denny K.

Yelp
Brunch alfresco for us on this visit. Crowded inside but several empty tables outdoors - with a cool breeze to boot! It has been a while since we dined here, but nothing has changed... Great service, delicious, food, and decent prices. Note: the word staff was pretty slammed with the crush of customers inside, so we sat for a few minutes outside. But in the blink of an eye, one of the "wait staff supervisors" came to our table & took both our drink & our food order. That's great service awareness. My delicious salmon, eggs, Benedict. (a delicious variation from the traditional ham/Canadian bacon), came out perfectly cooked. It was served on a ciabatta roll that was slightly toasted, but a bit too chewy and hard to cut. Probably would've been even tastier on more highly toasted, ciabatta or sourdough. Home fries were spot on but over salted for some palates. My dining companion's eggs were cooked well, but the avocado "cold" toast was a bust. (That's about the only stumble in our meal.) It was great to be back in the loop of dining out.

Samantha W.

Yelp
I have been here over a dozen times. I have celebrated birthdays here with brunch, had family breakfasts, and just enjoyed a sweet treat during a rough week. I'm always thrilled with the service and the food. The seasonal and weekly specials are always fantastic. The staff is lovely (Reagan is a wonderful server who I highly recommend). The vibe of the restaurant is homey and welcoming. They also have accommodation for gluten-free, vegan, and other diets/restrictions.

Richy O.

Yelp
I love First Watch but this experience was not the best. This restaurant has practically no service. The waiter didn't give us clean utensils and she didn't come back after the food was given to us. We waited a few minutes and then I had to get up and get them myself. The restaurant clean inside and the food was good and that's the reason they get 3 stars.

Daria C.

Yelp
My sandwich and salad were delicious !! I love First Watch ! The service was wonderful ! Every single waitress was kind and personable. The ambiance was casual and very wonderful. I plan to return soon !

Jeremy T.

Yelp
If you are in the area, I would definitely give this place a shot. It opened nice and early and the food selection was very nice. My food came pretty quickly after I ordered, even though the restaurant was busy.

Mia L.

Yelp
First Watch is a great spot for brunch and I have been excited to see the group expand beyond their Florida roots into Tennessee and beyond. Their breakfast menu has everything, but I always get the Eggs Benedict with a side salad, a Bloody Mary, and a side of the cinnamon donut holes to share with friends. Their staff is awesome and they make the wait well worth the squeeze although you want to get ahead of the tailgate crowd on weekend's wherever you brunch during college football season.

Ashley D.

Yelp
This chain is not going to operate very long serving like this. PICTURED: A very SAD "Million Dollar Harvest Hash" missing FIVE ingredients with the wrong kind of potatoes (supposed to be sweet potatoes), 1 lousy piece of bacon chopped up, TWO lonely mushrooms, (I dare you to find them in the pic ) -- and two bites of kale. Million dollar my ---. What happened??! I don't get it. MISSING: arugula, hot honey sauce, goat cheese, lemon dressing, Monterey Jack. This million dollar harvest isn't worth the million. It was Missing half the ingredients! MISSING FIVE ingredients -- this wasn't even close to what I ordered.

Scott M.

Yelp
Terrible service. We never ate. Waitress kept walking by and wouldn't take our drink order.

Natalie S.

Yelp
We enjoyed breakfast both days this weekend. The service was great the first day and so slow the second day. Our server told a few times that our food would be right out. It was a very long time and then my food omelette was cold. Not room temperature but cold. My husband had nearly finished his food before she came back to check on us. So, I are only toast for breakfast. Very disappointing. But I'll try it again.

Matt L.

Yelp
It's a shame I haven't reviewed this place sooner. I've been here over 15 times and every time it has been great. The food is always tasty, the service is always good. I've never been here when it's not busy. Can you all please start doing dinner also :) this place needs to be bigger so we can serve more people in Franklin.

Aura G.

Yelp
I normally love First Watch, but this location probably is not the best. Given it was a Saturday morning, customers were lining up out the door. This is normal for most First Watch restaurants, so I got on the waitlist and waited 30 minutes for a seat. We ordered the Parma Hash (my favorite) and Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict. The eggs in both dishes were heavily overcooked; the poached egg's yolk was basically hard boiled, and the over easy egg in the hash was not runny at all. I wasn't a huge fan of their summer menu item either. The sauces on the quesadilla made it soggy, and by the time we received our food, it was lukewarm. I did enjoy my iced coffee, which was light, creamy, and mildly sweet. For the 30 minute wait, we were a bit disappointed. Our servers were nice, but obviously very stressed from the brunch rush that came before us.

Jim K.

Yelp
Incredible food and service. The menu is extensive and our waitress was exceptional. The size of the portion was large, very well prepared, and very tasty. Coffee was excellent. We were seated immediately (came at 11 pm on a Thursday morning). The prices are soooooo.. reasonable. This is our second visit and we will be back!!!!

Redbird J.

Yelp
First let me say that First Watch has been my favorite breakfast for over 7yrs...really I was my favorite in STL and had been favorite up to today Mother's Day. The wait time was great (we got online on the app before arriving to ensure prompt seating) before being seated...maybe 10 mins tops. We ordered immediately as we wanted to ensure we had enough time to make it to church. We sat and watched all others (that came in after us) be served their meals. At 10:44 after being seated for at least 20 mins I checked the WAZE app to see by what time we needed to leave First Watch by to make it to service. We did not receive our for for another 30 mins and when served my bacon had guacamole on it and NONE of us ordered guacamole (who's plate did they get the bacon off of? ). My cheese grits did not come out with my food and when it did there was more cheese than grits. No we were not able to make it to service ..... disappointing start to my Mother's Day. Thanks First Watch

Yelp
Pretty terrible. The place is very busy, but the coffee was some of the worst I have ever had (and it's a brunch place!) potatoes were greasy and undercooked, bathroom is pretty gross. The kids loved the hot chocolate but chocolate chip pancake was dry. The waitstaff is friendly and very hardworking. Only great things to say about everyone from the hostess to waiters to runners. I've been to other First Watch locations and the whole experience was much better than this location.

S B.

Yelp
Joined the waitlist online, got the text, showed up at the scheduled time to discover that we were not on the waitlist. Crowded as heck. They added me to the list after I showed them the text, but meanwhile kept seating other people ahead of us. Also meanwhile a huge line congregated at the doorway to pay. The whole operation is a mess. Bad experience. Wish I could say better. Food was good.

Chris M.

Yelp
Stopped in today with the kids to have a late breakfast. Something we do from time to time. Service is amazing however I have to comment on our meals today. I don't know if they changed the cooks or what but just awful. I ordered my go to "Parma skillet". It was so dry & some of it was cold looks like it's been sitting for awhile. same thing with my sons kids meal only good thing about today was the service. Unfortunately that was our last time eating at first watch both the kids agreed too. And it wasn't just today I've noticed a slight decline over the last 6 to 8 months. Today was just the icing on the cake. So sorry FW you just lost a long-standing customer today. What a shame.

Tim G.

Yelp
Very good breakfast spot. The menu has a pretty good variety of options, so everyone can find something to suit their needs and preferences. I had the avocado toast, which was excellent with a generous helping of avocado. It was a little salty, but to me that was a very good thing. The eggs were a little over-cooked, but the server also didn't ask how I wanted them and I didn't think to call it out. The restaurant is very pleasant, and service was prompt and friendly. While I have other favorite temptations for breakfast in the area, I would certainly be happy to return to First Watch to try out some of their other menu items.

Amanda R.

Yelp
Consistently good food and service. Our family's favorite options are the skillet hash and the kids chocolate chip pancakes. I've also enjoyed the avocado toast on many occasions. Clean and warm atmosphere. Nice outdoor patio for when the weather is nice.

Frank S.

Yelp
Stopped in over the weekend with my daughter and grandson was served over easy eggs that were already broken when they were brought to my table made a comment to the server and the cashier and the manager never touched her table to apologize as we were leaving the parking lot. They were making gestures at the back door for us to leave never have been treated like that before never will visit again server and cashier were very nice and professional

Chad H.

Yelp
Well, third day of trying something new. Today I Had the elevated egg sandwich and was served by Tyler who did a fantastic Job. Tyler refilled my water without me having to ask and offered a great recommendation when he saw I was hesitant on what too choose. I really miss Marcus who use to work here, but am happy he moved on. Can't wait to come back and try something else! Probably tomorrow :) Y'all foodies have a great day and be a little kind to you're servers! We go thru stuff too!

Kimberly M.

Yelp
Our family has visited First Watch restaurants for years. They offer healthy and delicious food with a variety of choices for any eater. Friendly service is a standard at all the locations I've been in. Today's visit would have been a 5 star, but the dish I ordered was not at top freshness. I had the salmon frittata but it was missing roasted tomatoes. And the greens along side had very wilted leaves and were hardly dressed at all. It was a pile of plain mixed greens in essence. We had great service and it was a beautiful December day!

Maris M.

Yelp
I love this little breakfast spot. I recommend the frittatas and mixed greens . Lots of good cocktails too

Nathan B.

Yelp
Decided to try a breakfast location in the Franklin area. Rolled into First Watch for a late breakfast. Busy but we're seated immediately. Very friendly server but it took a few minutes for her to get to our table. Each ordered the Trifecta which includes two eggs multigrain pancake and choice of meat. I ordered eggs over easy. They came out scrambled. Waitress apologized and immediately set out to fix it. Brought back my plate with two eggs that were visually barely cooked. Super watery whites. They would have been under even for Sunnyside up. Not edible. Server did not return to the table after food drop Coffee is typical diner coffee. No flavor The multi-grain pancake looks and tastes more like a buttermilk pancake. It was very dry and burned on the bottom. The bacon came out dry as if it had been cooked early this morning and sat in a warming bin for hours. Just not a good experience. When checking out, the hostess asked if everything was okay. We said no it was disappointing and she said she would let the kitchen know but walked away to straighten menus without asking for any details. One and done for us

Chris P.

Yelp
Great food! Salmon frittata was lovely. Thumbs uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu(yelp has a minimum letter count for posts)uuuuuuuuuup!

Nikki M.

Yelp
We came here during our trip to Nashville. Not only was the food and drinks tasty, (I got a Benny and their tequila drink) but the staff was such a delight. They were very accommodating for our large party on last minute notice and also everyone was very friendly! Our server Alondra was outstanding to each of us and made our breakfast even more great! 10/10 would go back for the food, the friendly staff and to see Alondra again!! She's so sweet!

Kayla G.

Yelp
The food was great and the service was good too! Not too expensive either. The restaurant itself was cozy. Good place to have breakfast or brunch.

Jazzy D.

Yelp
The food was good. The silverware was dirty twice so we cleaned it off with lemon and a napkin. So finally I had to ask for to go plastic ware to eat with. It was just disgusting! And it was wrapped up in her napkin and close was clean dinnerware. Be prepared to either clean your own or ask for a different set to eat with.

Lonny N.

Yelp
Compelled to visit First Watch to try their seasonal "Holey Donuts" offering. While there ordered the Carne Asada Burrito - a full meal with carne asada, potatoes, beans, avocado, and a bit of a kick. Delicious! The Holey Donuts are fried donut holes, and best eaten freshly warm they come with three dipping sauces - white icing, cherry, and chocolate. These were tasty, and a good portion. While I enjoyed the experience, the donuts themselves were ok, but not great - esp. compared to others like Street Burger in Kaua'i (see review @streetburgerkauai). Regardless, worth the trip for a full and satisfying breakfast or brunch. Visit @firstwatch and let them know that Lonny with @donutexplorers sent you..

Kate C.

Yelp
Food is always good! Very consistent and reasonable prices. There is a tall waitress with short hair that is amazing! I have celiac and she is always on top of my needs. I will get her name!

Blu Wyatt G.

Yelp
Today we went to breakfast before church and it was Mookie (spelling?) who served us so well! She was joyfilled and animated and kind! Service was excellent and everything tasted so so yummy. I didn't love love the crab avocado toast but usually always love the regular avocado toast. It is probably just me cause I hate onions and the pretty punk color is pickled onions according to my husband. Anyway, try anything on their menu cause it's ALL gonna blow your socks off. Yum to the max, y'all:)) Love this restaurant and so grateful for Mookie!!! Bless y'all! Blu

Joe N.

Yelp
Went to First Watch with my daughter for breakfast. We were both very hungry. Our waitress was lovely and took our orders quickly. We were served coffee and water quickly. She ordered a kales smoothie which she says was delicious. I ordered the ginger donuts and the traditional breakfast. She ordered a waffle with sausage. Both breakfast were hot and tasty. The ginger donuts were terrible. They were soaked in oil, cold and nasty. We sent them back and not charged. The bread served is delicious. I will return to First Watch for breakfast.

Steve H.

Yelp
We've tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt multiple times now - but the service here is horrendous. Today, we got our order in 30 minutes - our server didn't bring silverware - the person delivering the food we ask for silverware - after waiting a couple of minutes - I ask the host for silverware and I kid you not he said "your server will have to get those for you". To which I informed him she's waiting on a table and we ask the food deliverer too like 2 minutes ago but whatever. A couple of minute go by and they finally delivered silverware - it almost felt begrudgingly. We're done with this location - we won't return - the service is terrible for such an expensive breakfast - to the host: Go find something else to do, you stink at your job. Sorry we interrupted your day.

Martin F.

Yelp
Took a chance on this. Didn't know it was part of a chain. It was pretty good. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Food was good.

Gigi C.

Yelp
We have been to this location (McEwen in Franklin Tn) several times. The last time they hard boiled the poached eggs on a Benedict. This morning we sat for an hour before our food was delivered. Our server never checked on us. Finally a runner brought our food. Both our plates were stone cold, the bacon we orders was drenched in grease and this time the whites of the poached eggs were not cooked. We did speak with the server who tried to make it right but at that time we were done. We didn't have to pay but we wasted well over an hour. We will never go back.

Tim P.

Yelp
Dirty cold food and disappearing wait staff. WOW I just gave this location 5 stars a few weeks ago!!! WTH. This particular location (and the staff) has been a family favorite for a very long time! We go almost every weekend! This morning's experience was unlike any we'd had before. Our entire meal arrived cold . Four separate meals, biscuits barely covered in congealed gravy, pancakes, omelette, toast and bacon, all cold. Like COUNTLESS times before we ordered the million dollar bacon app. Typically it comes first and we always adore it. Today it came after our meals and literally lacked seasoning! It was cold bacon with some syrup. SURPRISE It included a visible clump of cleaning sponge ON the bacon. We know accidents happen! So we showed it to our waiter and sent it back. The bacon plate quickly returned - (suspiciously in under a minute) and a bit of the cleaning sponge clump had simply been pulled off (but still had more on it)! In addition to returning the old sponge covered cold bacon Deborah decided to leave us our bill long before we'd even started the meal and then walked away. Turns out she had decided at that point to never return and ignored us for the rest of our meal. She never asked if the food was better (and cleaner) no more drink refills/coffee and no more follow up. She just disappeared. Do better.

Don D.

Yelp
Woke up needing a good breakfast and there were two First watches within 2 miles of my hotel. We were seated immediately in spite of the restaurant being full. I saw the Morning Meditation drink go by my table and had to have one. Did not like the taste: Maybe the beet juice or turmeric was too healthy for my liking... I got the Eggs Benedict BLT and while tasting good, eating it was hard... The ciabatta bun was hard and too dry for me, the tomato was al-dente but I prefer one that is cooked and the bacon tasted fine but was hard to cut through with the bread. As a eggs benedict lover who makes them regularly at home, try substituting the million dollar bacon cut in pieces below the egg and on top of the hollandaise, cook the tomato, add avocado on the bun before the bacon and choose a round toasted bread or cheese grits as the base layer. See photo for an example.. My wife got the Avocado Toast and it tasted as good as it looks. Overall, I like First Watch a lot as a restaurant. I just believe the taste/execution of some dishes could be improved...

Brett L.

Yelp
The food was excellent. We had omelets, pancakes, a cinamon roll, and a traditonal breakf and everything was fantastic!

Landon W.

Yelp
Honestly I don't have a lot to say. It's a great place with good breakfast/brunch. I've never had any type of bad experience and the food is really good!

Angela B.

Yelp
This was my first visit to this particular First Watch. I do like that if you have the app, you can put yourself in line before you arrive. That was a bonus on a Saturday around lunch. We were seated in a booth that had obviously been cleaned in a hurry. My sister ended up sitting in something that stained her outfit. I had a puddle of syrup on the table in front of me. My mom was stepping on crayons that were left on the floor. Menu items ordered for our party of four -- a Market Hash, a Farmhouse Hash, a Cobb Salad and a Monterey Club with a side salad. The Market Hash was advertised with all of these vegetables but in reality, it was a bowl of potatoes. We were counting each time my sister was able to find another vegetable in the bowl that was not a potato. She found three pieces of mushroom--YAY! My Monterey Club was just okay. I think the bread should have been toasted. Whoever made the sandwich did not do a good job making sure things were placed on the sandwich evenly--either that or I was given two halves from different sandwiches. I ate the first half and did not realize it was missing avocado and tomato until I looked at the second half that I had not eaten. The visit was just a disappointment. We could have had a bad day but I was not impressed at all. Too bad because I've seen a lot of positive reviews.

Cameron J.

Yelp
Fairly busy, but very effective and yummy food! Don't sleep on the donuts! Definitely the best part of the eating experience. The fiancé got the pancakes and enjoyed those. Her eggs weren't cooked as hard as she would like, but she's very picky when it comes to eggs. The carnitas burrito was very good! The creama and tomatillos complimented each other perfectly! The biggest problem I had is they put avocado in my burrito and I asked for none. This place I swear is obsessed with avocados it's like in every meal on the menu! Would go back hoping they wouldn't mess up my order.

Sammy B.

Yelp
Fastest service at a sit down place ever! It was during a packed lunch crowd. Also, the food is delicious! I would recommend the Farmhouse Breakfast bowl, but I've never had anything that wasn't great from here.

Channing E.

Yelp
We have been coming to this FW for years. We love their servers and the food used to be great. Lately (we come at least once a week) not only do they not get our food correct but it is inedible. Even before they would always mess up eggs that you asked for over easy. Now they just refuse to even cook them that way. I asked for over easy egg on my belt and both sides grilled. The bread was so smashed and greased up I got sick to my stomach. My friend asked for a power bowel with over easy eggs and this is how her eggs came out. When talking with the server apparently they can't keep a kitchen staff. This sounds like a management and upper management problem. Will never go back. Switching our new weekly spot to Big Bad Breakfast off Liberty Pike.

Bill C.

Yelp
If all I was grading on my visit here was the service, it would be 5 stars. Nelly bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant and at times I saw her running into the kitchen to keep up with her orders! She was tops. Unfortunately, the food was average, at best, and priced pretty high for breakfast products. 3 meals and 3 juices came to around $50 before tip. There was no tomato or V8 juice; odd for a breakfast place. The avocado toast with ham was a little lacking on the ham part. I'm probably not going back because there are so many other breakfast joints in the area with better food and the prices are more reasonable.

William L.

Yelp
First Watch is a great breakfast or brunch place. The food is delicious and the portions are large.

Diane D.

Yelp
Ordered two meals to go. One meal, oatmeal, had no brown sugar or milk or muffin (all of which were supposed to come with the oatmeal). No utensils or napkins were placed in the bag. When I reached my destination and opened the bag, I was disappointed, frustrated and angry. Really terrible.

Sam S.

Yelp
Blown away by the service and food. Always great. Omelette dare perfect. Berry tea is awesome. People working there are great younger crowd

Felicia L.

Yelp
Stopped by for breakfast with the team before a client meeting. We got seated right away and our waitress came over fairly quickly. She was really friendly and I felt bad b/c we were a table of 4, and a few of us changed our orders. I ended up getting the trifecta - Belgian waffle, chicken sausage patty and 2 eggs. Tasty, savory, sweet and not too filling. I didn't love the coffee though. Food came out quick, pay at register. It was pretty busy on a Tuesday morning at 9am.
