First Watch

Excellent, flavorful, and fresh tasting! Service was superb. Highly recommend the Million Dollar Bacon - 4 pieces of the best gourmet bacon we have ever tasted. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were excellent as well. Large servings. A simple 2 scrambled eggs with cheese were cooked to perfection. We will definitely come back here next time in Phoenix.

The food was delicious. The frittata was flavorful with the market fresh vegetables. The potatoes are sooo good. The staff were all friendly and said hi. Everyone greeted us with a smile.

Our server Lexie was incredible. She helped me find the right breakfast items. The food was outstanding. For calorie counters my server Lexie showed me how to adjust the menu item to get the accurate calorie count. Try the Belgian waffle, pork sausage,and the potatoes. Thank Lexie for everything!!!

We've always loved this place. There are a few breakfast places we enjoy, but this one has consistently remained in our top preferences for years. The food is always good, with varied flavors to satisfy whatever feeling one might have on a given day. They can be busy at times but the servers are friendly and quick to make sure you have everything you want. Best of all, however, is their coffee. Of all places we've gone, First Watch always has the best coffee.

Great food and drinks as well. Their menu has a healthy option which I loved. They don’t have the old greasy traditional stuff, but you can get it if you want that in their skillets. Definitely will be back and service was prompt and tops!

I love coming to first watch because the food and service above all else is amazing. You get exactly what you pay for and the food is never disappointing. I came because it's my birthday (sign up for their rewards) and I got my entree entirely free! Definitely a pleasant experience. I got the French toast and the berry compote makes all the difference in the world. Thank you everyone who works here for a great experience!

Seem to have an issue with seating people in the correct order. After our table was given to people who came in after us, they wanted to seat us ahead of people who were there before us. Our server was prompt, attentive and courteous. Food was good but my Eggs Benedict were over cooked (yolk was solid). Overall not a bad place but room for improvement.

I must say, our 1st experience at 1st Watch was almost derailed by the manager, however, was saved by Emerald (the hostess) and our waitress. Let's get the pleasant aspects out of the way. The atmosphere with the wooden theme especially for a breakfast place is perfect. With how busy they are, truly could use some more room, however, the wait was only about 15mins (for how packed they were is impressive). Menu is loaded with options and food was well prepared. Parking can be quite a challenge depending on the day and time since there are other venues in this complex so plan accordingly. Men's restroom door opens to view the standing stall from the ladies restroom 🚻 so not ideal. Outside of the negative experience with the manager, the restroom situation would be my only issue. Now on to the concern: Our party of 9 + our 3month old grand baby was met by Emerald ( if not for her and the lady who was our waitress we would have left) The manager had placed us in a cramped corner, were they had to obtain more tables and chairs to attempt to make us fit, while he was making significantly more room and accommodation for a smaller group on the main area with far more room. I even wondered why he placed a couple at a center table setup that could have also accommodated our group far better than where he had placed us. Seeing thus Emerald quickly started to correct this illogical move, however, right in front of us this manager attempted to belittle her and with an attitude to prevent her from correcting this situation. Emerald respectfully and professionally stood her ground, placing us at the more roomy accommodation. I am not sure why he behaved the way he did, I absolutely hate assuming so I will leave that alone. Once resolved, everything else was wonderful. If not for Emerald, this review would have been 2 stars and not close to the positive end result we did have.

We courageously decided to take our 1 & 2 year old out to breakfast this morning at First Watch and it was wildly successful in every way! My grandparents used to take my brother and I to first watch when we were kids and I have fond memories of hot chocolate and pancakes so it was a treat to take my own babies to do the same. When we got to the restaurant we were immediately greeted and asked to sit out on the patio that is lovely decorated and very spacious so we had plenty of room for our kiddos to spread out and eat without grabbing at each other or our food!! Once seated our waiter Anthony took our order and also brought the kids coloring pages and crayons to entertain them. He was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The menu boasts breakfast and lunch options for every tastebud and diet. As it is the new year and health is a top priority we went with chocolate chip pancakes, lemon ricotta pancakes, eggs and bacon of course...ok so we will get the egg white omelet next time. Anyway, we enjoyed some apple and orange juice along with coffee while we waited for our food and the patio was a pleasant place to do so. Our kids did beautifully being patient and coloring away and then our delicious and beautiful food arrived. It was the kids first time having chocolate chip pancakes and they loved every bite (so did I)! The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and it was all super yummy. The whole experience was lovely and filled our tummies for a day of fun. The inside of First Watch is very spacious and filled with booths to seat large parties as well as breakfast for two. Many breakfast spots have sticky tables due to the syrup intake but everywhere was clean and stick free. The cost of breakfast here is fairly pricey, but the food is good and it seems as though prices are up everywhere, so you'd be hard pressed to find a meal for less. We are trying to get out for breakfast more as a family and we thoroughly enjoyed First Watch today; we will be back soon and often!

Great service and great food. They have their summer menu out with plenty of options. I had the French toast which was good. Overall solid food and service.

Very attentive happy server. Restaurant is clean and open. They have indoor and outdoor seating. From the outside might look small but it is spacious. They have great healthy selections. I had the traditional breakfast and watermelon juice from their seasonal menu. Food tasted great. Overall good experience. If you do come on a weekend there is more of a wait.

The only reason that I'm rating this First Watch location with 4 stars is because of Ana. My mom and I had brunch here and the food was okay. We were seated and proceeded to watch servers walking about, or chatting with each other. I started to time how long we were waiting for anyone to acknowledge us, because they were clearly fully staffed and the restaurant was not crowded. At approximately the 20 minute mark, we were about to get up and leave, but then Ana came from assisting the customers on the patio and was directed by two of her coworkers to come to our table (mind you, these two coworkers were clearly socializing and never bothered to say a word to us). Ana apologized for the wait and was very professional and attentive, unlike her coworkers. While I understand that the servers have assigned tables, seeing that there were more employees than customers, and the fact that we were clearly sitting there, someone could have acknowledged us. Thank you, Ana for taking pride in your work and showing up professionally and with a compassionate spirit.

Really disappointed with this location service. 1. I had coffee split on me (which understandably accidents happen). 2. I waited like 10min for my drink & had to reask for water. 3. My food came out wrong & she never came back. I had to reask about 10-15min later for it. Then it came out in under 5min. The solution after all this was to give me a $5 discount. At this point good customer service would be to comp my one order. I did order several things, so one free entrée makes sense. Even McDonalds does that. Not this First Watch. I have been to other locations with much better service. Bummer because I live close to this one & love their food.

First time here . Breakfast was amazing! Waitress was great . This place is bright and buzzing.

Love their iced coffee! Also I have recent been liking their farmers hash skillet so good.

Enjoyed a business lunch at First Watch at this location. Enjoyed the Chicken Pesto Power Bowl. It was fresh filling and very tasty. The menu has many healthy choices. Service was great and will definitely be back when in the area.

Love this place, the staff is amazing and so friendly. Love going later in the afternoon and grabbing lunch. The Baja Turkey burger is my go to sandwich.

Amazing food! My husband and I love this place! Always great service as well. We love going after church on Sundays.

Went back this morning for takeout again. Trying to give another shot. Ordered biscuits and gravy again. NO GRAVY IN OUR BAG. How does this happen again? Main item missing. Disappointed when we live far and drive for pickup

Great breakfast specials. The strawberry tres leches French toast was exceptionally good, with a side of million dollar bacon which is a breakfast staple. Bailey was our waitress and kindly topped off our coffee to go. Great service.

Food was good. Waitress was a bit slow, didn't offer to get new drinks when empty. Food was great, kids loved it.

As a tourist, and I don't go many times in chains. , but my friend loves this place. And, they deserve to be busy all the time. Really good quality food, creative plates and drinks. I have never eaten a omelette with cod fish and salmon. It was wonderful. The ambiance is modern, cozy and you can have conversation naturally. If you stop in Phoenix, look which location is close to you for brunch.

Love this location!! I've been coming here for many years and Barbie is my absolute favorite waitress! She goes out of her way, always remembers what I like!! I had not seen her the last three times. I stopped in here and this morning I walked in and saw that she was here, was soooo happy to see her back!!

Food and service were topnotch. It's a big place with outdoor seating. I think President Trump will eat there when he's done golfing at the 500 Club

I base a lot of my reviews on the availability of options for people who have all allergies. My son has a soy allergy and basically the only thing he can eat on the menu is oatmeal. This establishment presents itself as a healthy option however, if every single thing has soybean oil in it, I wouldn't consider that healthy.

Probably one of the BEST breakfast meals I've had in a while. However, eggs were over cooked. I asked for light potatoes and it was packed with them. Server was soooo slow. Took a bit to get coffee and she never checked back. Had to wait at least 15 minutes for the check. Get it together First Watch!

Hard to believe this place is a chain. It's got culinary chops oozing out of it. Food quality was awesome. I asked for maple syrup for my one pancake and it arrived in front of me in about 10 seconds warm, like it was stored in a warmer. Little things like that make a huge difference. Everything I've ever ordered at first watch has been fire . So good, I wish they would come to California. If you get a chance to do breakfast at first watch there will be a wait but just know it's worth it. Fantastic job FW!!

I almost always get breakfast food there but the market veggie sandwich is my new favorite thing. I like the counter for fast service. I don't love that the cocktails are premade but I guess they do the trick. It's a fast paced environment so not really the kind of place you linger for brunch. Great place to stop in for a bite if you're out running errands.

This is going to sound silly but here it goes, I'm giving this place 20/10 because our waitress was amazing, and I'm I love with the purple haze drink they have! My favorite!! Anyway my boyfriend and I just loved here 3 weeks ago so we are still trying to find places to eat that are good, my avocado toast were really delicious I would order that again. The vibe was very mellow, cozy friendly I mean I loved it very much. Thank you for the great service and I can't wait to be back!

We came for breakfast! We were seated within 10 minutes. We loved how spacious the restaurant was. The servers were friendly and happy to answer all our questions. Here's what I enjoyed. Kale Tonic-apple cucumber kale goodness. Very refreshing and super healthy! Million Dollar Bacon-a sugar salt cayenne honey explosion. This was so good but would recommend sharing. Crab Cake Benedict-this was so fresh! The bread the Benedict came with was decent, and the crab was real crab. I love that it came with greens! The hollandaise was perfect. The only thing I wished was more seasoning in the crab. Nothing hot sauce couldn't spruce up, but I would have loved some Old Bay in there. This was a great breakfast! Very fresh, and a great way to start the day.

Update - I have been to a few of the First Watch restaurants. I love the drinks they have they are all interesting and very different. The music was too loud at this location today , but the food was good. Service was kind and prompt. I really like this place it doesn't disappoint.

I met a friend here for breakfast. There was about a 20 minute wait. I thought the food was good but it did feel a tiny bit pricy. Our server was also a little awkward, but that's ok, it happens. Overall a good breakfast spot to check out.

This was my first time at a First Watch and I thought it was good. I reserved a table online before arriving and it definitely saved time waiting for a table. It was a Sunday morning and busy. Others have posted about issues with the staff but I did t have any issues. Everyone was nice and I didn't have to wait for service throughout the meal. I had the Chorizo breakfast sandwich. It was good but they don't use traditional chorizo. They were more of a medium spiced patty. Still it was good. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits. She said it wasn't the best she's had but it was good. I expect both of these things just from the type of restaurant it is. A friend of mine recommended this place to us for the Crab Cake Benedict. I will be back again to give it a shot.

Food is tasty. A little more than other breakfast places but reasonable if you live in the area. The restaurant is quiet and you can tell that the crowd is just there to eat. It's nice, but kind of boring. Our server did not attend to us, so another server had to take the table. I'm not going to say it was related to race, but I did see him serving every one but us. Take it how you may, so I don't want to let that affect their score, even though it is their responsibility to monitor their employees. Try it for yourself.

Very slow, unattentive service. Food was just mediocre, no offer for refills on coffee or soda.

Service was Amazing. The food was delicious. We started off with a chocolate muffin cut in half and placed on the grill... get one! And these healthy concoctions *because I care about my health* I had the purple Haze... that was the tables favorite. The Kale tonight was a very close 2nd... moving right along Italian fritata.. I got the potato instead of the mixed greens... you know, because I care about my health! SN: The hostess was angelically stunning! Black short curly hair... you ma'am are a site!

I made an online order and picked it up this morning. I'm missing one of my items and gravy is all over my bag due to the lid not being secured. In bold on my order I asked for no bacon and got bacon. When I tried to call the restaurant twice I get a fax machine sound, no one answers. No eating utensils, no straw. I'm so disappointed! I eat First Watch all the time but I will Never visit this location again. I have never had an experience like this before. Food is not cheap, customers deserve better.

Nice location. Rarely busy during the week. Service is just okay most of the time. Food is almost always perfect and delicious.

The prices are great and the food is even better! Went for a quick easy early breakfast!

Great service. The staff are very friendly. Very busy get here early. The food was good and portions were big.

The food was really good, didn't have to wait and the service was great. Unfortunately because of the heavy salt taste afterwards, tells me they use way too much salt in their preparations and cooking processes. I didn't use any at the table.

So I went there with me and my five kids I thought mine was really good I got the chickichanga all of the potatoes we got were undercooked. I thought the iced coffee were more ice than coffee. Half of us weren't big fans of our food. Our server was very off putting at first but warmed up towards the end. We asked for starters but she must've forgot because we never got them. If you're not a big fan of onions that seems to be there go to with everything they cooked. I usually don't like to complain because I work in the service industry and know how hard these people work. But when I told the cashier that all of our potatoes were undercooked she replied "it happens" and gave us two dollars off. I spent over a hundred dollars for what I thought for the most part was pretty average food.

First watch is IHOP on steroids and so much better. Fresh ingredients and freshly squeezed OJ just hits hard. Took the whole family including the in-laws and brother-sister in-law too. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Don't forget the churro appetizers with dipping sauces. Service was top notch and our waitress was attentive and spot on. The ambiance was family friendly. The misters outside was enjoyable while we waiting to be seated.

Met a friend for breakfast here. I have been a few times a long time ago and the food has always been great. There wasn't a wait and we had a nice spot on the patio with plenty of shade. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered a farmhouse skillet hash which is their home style potatoes with eggs, bacon, onions, tomatoes and avocado. It also came with a side of fruit and some noble bread. The food was served hot and everything tasted perfect! I really enjoyed how fresh everything tasted and will definitely be back soon!

Not really big on breakfast but my youngest loves waffles! So what baby wants baby gets! I had crab Benedict and it was soooooo good it was flavorful the bread was soft and the salsa was a awesome finishing touch! Baby had million dollar bacon and a waffle which she loved!

I just had the best lunch and best service at this First Watch location! My waitress was Emerald, she was amazing! Friendly and very professional! I told her I only had 45 minutes to eat and get back to the office, she told me, "No problem!" I had the pesto bowl, WOW!!! It was delicious!! This has now taken the place as my favorite go-to lunch spot! A huge 'THANK YOU' to Emerald for getting me in and out of there with time to spare!

They were able to get us in faster than the estimated wait time. The breakfast items are simply superb. I had the elevated Egg sandwich and one bite told me that all of the ingredients are of high quality. It also comes with roasted potatoes. I had a Pineapple Express which was delicious. The service was amiable and understanding. Overall, this place is great for a relaxing breakfast or lunch. My whole meal came out to $21.08 (includes tax and tip).

Today was the second time I have been here, and the service was great. Definitely will be back. We had a larger party, but the waitress did not hesitate to check on us - making sure everyone had what they wanted / needed. Food is very good. I would recommend this first watch!

Was in Arizona last weekend.. omgosh.. this place was soo good!! I'm usually not a big breakfast person, I don't like to eat restaurant breakfast food & because of this I ordered the tacos. Delicious. Every single one. Potatoes soft & crispy like I like them. The tacos had a hint of spice to them but it wasn't bad at all. Great choice... I'm not done tho.. so like the greedy person I am, I decided to finish off my friend's waffle........... this waffle... was the best one I've ever had. Toasty on the outside & soft in the middle. It was perfect. Literally. No exaggeration. Everything was so fresh. I hope the one in IL is just as good

Went here for the first time in a very long time and I have to say I don't know why its been so long since we have been back. We always have wonderful service, great tasting food and drink, and love all the seasonal options. This trip reminded us how much we love this place and we will be back soon.

Food is very unconventional. Sauces and sprigs on things. Service was slow and the server couldn't have been less enthusiastic.

Ordered food to go on First Watch App, was ready very quickly! The safety message is bold when you walk in and you can tell they made strides and adjustments to meet the need right now during Covid. All employees were wearing masks and using caution. When you pay there is a plastic separator between you and the cashier. Food to go was hot & delicious. We will definitely order again! We missed First Watch!

The Carnitas Breakfast Tostadas were fantastic! 2 weeks before I had the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos which were equally delicious! Added a picture of Sangria which complimented the brunch wonderfully. Service was great also! A great place to go with family or meet a friend!

Charli was our server and gave us adequate time to look through the menu while offering some great suggestions. We enjoyed her countenance. We went for the Chile chorizo and Barbacoa breakfast burrito. Both were stellar and exceeded our expectations. While we were enjoying our meals we were greeted by such a bright light; Barbie. She went out of her way to spark genuine conversation and it felt as if we knew her for years. A genuine skill few possess! We would have come back for the delicious food but now it's a new go-to for the chance to see Barbie! Keep up the great work!

Went to Sunday breakfast there on February 13, 2022 with my wife. The food was good as usual - that is the good news. The service was horrid. We sat and waited a very long time to give our drink (coffee) order. After finishing my coffee, I asked for additional creamer as they use the tiny plastic creamers. After waiting over 20 minutes and not seeing our server, I reached over the barrier and took the bowl of creamers from another table. Now there are 16 creamers, two small cups that contained catsup and jelly on our table with the plates, now empty. No one came to clear the table. Sadly, the tip reflected the poor service. As customers, the two ways we can vote is with our wallet and with our feet. This was a wallet vote. Cannot justify an 18% tip, he got much less. We like the restaurant, the food is good; in this case we got a bad server. Better training and a focus on the customer is needed badly. Will not go back for awhile as there are other options in the area, but not taking them off my list entirely - just placing them in the penalty box.
