Hands down the best Chinese restaurant. I’ve been ordering here for the past 15 years. Never been disappointed. I normally order the pork steam dumplings and the dumpling sauce is to die for. My husband gets the chicken breast in garlic sauce with chicken fried rice, and my daughter loves the BBQ boneless spareribs tips with white rice. Everything is always finger licking good.

Today, April 5, 2025, I went to buy food. And I asked to the cashier (a man’s) it is gonna taste good. He said I don’t know. I said: oh you don’t know (smiling) expecting he gonna has nice aptitude to me… he said you wanna buy it or not. I think we can be nice and kind. It doesn’t cut him a part of his body.

I liked the food it was good. The meat was tender and the food came out pretty quick which may be attributed to the place wasn't busy at the time. The only complaint I had was that the lady I ordered with was a little blunt? She wasn't bad just not great customer service but the food was good and overall I would totally go again.

I ordered from them several times a week because my life is very busy as I am a therapist and have multiple responsibilities as a mother and a wife. Today, I guess they were busy because it’s the day before Thanksgiving. I ordered fries and a pork chop and repeated the order three times. The woman on the phone was sharp and yelled at us. When my order arrived, they did not bring the French fries. I called back to ask about them, and she claimed that I didn’t order fries, even though I’m 100% sure I did. Then she said, “Well, they’re gonna be three dollars; you get nothing for free,” and hung up the phone. That was very disrespectful. No one was trying to get free food; I order from them several times a week and tip the delivery driver every time. For her to tell me there’s no free food was very disrespectful because I’m not a bum and I’m not begging for anything free—I just wanted my French fries! Additionally, she hung up on me prematurely while I was ordering the fries and pork chop, forcing me to call back. This happens all the time; she yells and hangs up before making sure we understand our order. When I called back to tell her that her behavior was disrespectful, she said she didn’t care. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially since we support their business with our money, yet they show no respect in return.

Ordered delivery. It was fast, the food was very hot, and the portions were generous!. I love that we could call the restaurant and get delivery direct from them. We're new to the area and were pleasantly surprised. This is the Chinese takeout from my childhood. Cantonese/American with fresh delicious ingredients. Many classic choices were tempting, such as Lake Tung Ting Shrimp, but ordering for the first time, we stayed with the more traditional simple dishes which are great markers for a place's overall quality. The dumplings and dim sum are likely made nearby but they were delicious and had that homemade texture, and pan fried meant that, not deep fried. Egg foo young and Sweet and Sour were crispy and juicy in just the right way. I deducted one point for no scallions in the fried rice, or anywhere; and, no hot mustard. I'll still order but next time I'll have my own condiments handy.

Yelp
I am deeply disappointed in this neighborhood joint. I normally call ahead on my way home and pick up the food myself. This time I had just come back from a trip abroad and struggled with luggage so I decided to order in. The buzzer rings and when I ask who it is I cannot understand the woman. I assumed it was First Wok but was reluctant to buzz a stranger in. I called the restaurant and confirmed it was the young man's mother and she didn't speak English. I suggested he just teach her to say First Wok so people know. Instead he abruptly told me next time to pick up the food myself. The woman got in and delivered my food but I was upset that having been a customer for several years the guy was nasty to me. So I called him and told him that what he did was not nice. He was even nastier and I told him he lost a customer. He said fine and hung up. After a few minutes he called back and ordered me to not eat the food that he was coming to give me my money back. Seriously kid? Obviously he is either naive on how to do business or he doesn't care. Regardless he lost my business. The boy has a lot to learn.

Yelp
Food came quickly enough but may be the absolute worst Chinese food i ever had. The hot n sour soup was tangy and i ordered mooshu -the pancakes were hard and inedible with a vague scent of freezer burn and the actual dish was a beige color without the usual fresh vegetables included. but it was cheap.

Yelp
My family n I were starving after a long ride from Boston.. My wife wanted some veg chow main with noodles (which I stated over the phone) but they didn't tell me it was the veg Lo mein instead.. Thinking since there is so many Chinese rest in NYC there would be some better quality, oh was I wrong... Extremely tasteless unhealthy food (MSG!!).. Even being extremely hungry I didn't want to eat that much.. U get what u pay for.. Pass on this joint if possible please, I don't know how they still in business

Yelp
This place is horrible and disgusting! The food is terrible tasting and seems as leftovers from a week ago. Unless you want salmonella or your stomach pumped please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Yelp
I'd like to start by first stating that I've been coming here for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. The egg rolls are always fresh, the vegetable fried rice always taste of fresh vegetables. Their beef lo mein is one of the best I e tried. I see complaints by others and I find it difficult to believe because I've never had any issues with their food. Their pork fried rice is always hot and fresh as well. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and if someone ever told me how my mother should talk, I'd be pretty pissed off to. Just saying. I ordered from here tonight like I have a million times before and again, I am satisfied with everything.

Yelp
Worse customer service EVER. The boy answering the phone was so rude and disrespectful. I will never call this place again. When i asked about an item on the THIER menu he said I don't know. I asked again you don't know what you sell. He kept saying don't know. Was tempted to go there and speak with him directly but figured it clearly wasn't worth it. I wanted to give this place no stars but Yelp doesn't allow it

Yelp
Terrible customer service. I've been hung up on in the middle of placing an order, the rudest people I have EVER come across. Food is disgusting and delivery takes extremely long. I will never, ever order from here again and I honestly hope others think twice before doing so. Lack of basic customer service.

Yelp
This location is pretty consistent with the quality of their food. The actual location is very clean when compared to nearby Chinese restaurants. The staff for the most part have always been friendly.

Yelp
Food was good till I found a hair in it, and woman behind counter went to bathroom and didn't wash her hands

Yelp
horrible, horrible, horrible! Gives new meaning to bad Chinese food. I have never had more disgusting Chinese food in my life (and I've had quite a few...) everything was preheated, nothing was fresh, all the soups we tried (wonton, hot & sour, chicken corn) were greasy and bland. Grease is obviously the main ingredient used to camouflage all the other tasteless stuff they put in. Avoid at any cost. I would prefer to starve to death than to order from this place again!

Yelp
I have ordered from them for about a year without any incident. Recently my teenage daughter ordered food, the cost was $9.95, she was told it was $17 and accidently gave the delivery guy $30 which came out to $20 tip. I called them to report what happened but was told that I should count my money before paying. I could not believe that they would treat a regular customer this way.

Yelp
Put in a last min order for lunch and boy did it come quickly! I ordered my usual General Tso's lunch combo which came with a soup of my choice (hot and sour, in this case) and fried rice. Cheap $6, HUGE portion, not too greasy and searing hot soup. This hungry hippo was satisfied and even has some left over for another full meal. Oh.. I didn't have to add hot sauce either. +1!!

Yelp
TERRIBLE - idk where to start - the delivery guy throws out other restaurants menus (college dorm at the front desk) not only other Chinese restaurants but pizza, deli's whatever menus we have they will dispose of, right in front of us too! One delivery guy won't give us our food unless a tip him which is ridiculous I can't even believe I can say this about someone. The food is terrible quality it always smelled foul and a hint of wet rag accompanies the broccoli all the time. It has been consistent like this for 2 years now. they are racist to certain people on campus and very rude. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAI SING. Very friendly , food quality is very very good it will make you double take and smell it twice. You will marvel about the quality if HAI SING. Seriously don't ever order from ANY FIRST WOK. The Hai sing delivery minimum is $8 rather than $10-12 AND they have lunch specials on Sundays. Good for when the college cafeterias close early or have bad food.
