Fischerhaus Moosburg

Beautiful space outside, shame that the rooms look like they were decorated by a someone with the tackiest taste alive. Think faux fur throws and flashy paintings. Additionally, the restaurant plays loud music at night - not the sexy, smooth jazz that they play during dinner, but trashy, badly remixed italo-disco. Given that we stayed in the austrian countryside to breathe the fresh air at night, this severely impacted our night’s sleep. With regards to the restaurant, the wine selection is great but like the food, overpriced. You can eat much better in any given italian village. For the price point here, one could expect staff that wouldn’t serve meat based amouse bouche to people who did not order a single meat dish, but alas, you would then be dissapointed (as we were).

Wenn wir nach Kärnten fahren, freue ich mich immer aufs Essen beim Fischer. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, draußen lädt eine schöne Terrasse und Wiese zum Verweilen und Genießen ein, das Essen ist jedes Mal eine kulinarische Sensation, der Service rund um Dagmar, Werner, Sebastian und Team ist großartig. Ich fühle mich sehr wohl und freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Vielen Dank!

Wir haben einen ganz wundervollen Abend im Fischerhaus verbracht, das schöne, gediegene Ambiente genossen, zuerst im herrlichen Garten mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf die umliegenden Wiesen, dann später im schönen Gastraum, mit höchst freundlichem, persönlichem und aufmerksamem Service, exzellenter Weinberatung und ausgezeichnetem Essen…. Ein Platz zum Träumen und Genießen und Sich-Verwöhnen-Lassen… waren wirklich sehr angetan!!
