I’ve been wanting to visit Fish & Bubbles for a while to try their metre long fish board so was excited to finally try it.
It was huge! Full of fish and seafood delicacies like calamari, squid, whitebait, prawns, salmon cakes and chips. It could easily feed 4 as a starter so was way too much for 2 people but for £20pp including s glass of Prosecco, was a bargain! The salmon fish cakes and deep fried prawns were my favourite. It also came with a couple of dips which were aioli mayo and I’m guessing a mushy peas dip which was ok but quite thick.
Overall it was little bland and could have done with more seasoning. Also it was quite dry as everything was deep fried, so something a little more saucy to dip in would have helped.
However, it’s a nice little restaurant to go for lunch and we sat outside which created a nice ambience whilst watching the world go by. As we ordered a deep fried dish, it was pretty much what we expected but would definitely go again to try the other items on the menu which are supposed to be very good according to other reviews.
