Fish & Bubbles

We found this place by accident while out for a walk near Portobello. We usually order the cuoppo - a selection of fried fish served in a paper cone. It’s always so fresh, and the price is great as well: only £10 for takeaway. We’ve also gotten to know their manager, Antonio, who is always a nice and friendly chap. My husband is coeliac, and they’re even able to prepare a gluten-free version for him so he can enjoy it, too. We usually let them know a few days before our visit so they can prepare the gluten-free cuoppo. Super friendly staff and very customer-oriented. Highly recommend!

Very heavy menu. Our own fault for not noticing prior there are virtually no vegetable dishes here. The specials are all sandwiches which the menu isn't clear on for the first three. The octopus tasted nice but was over cooked. The fish was also overcooked but ok. The prawns were very under seasoned. Overall very underwhelming and heavy in a very competitive part of London. They also didn't bother to remove the wrapper from the cured meat which is just lazy.

I’ve been wanting to visit Fish & Bubbles for a while to try their metre long fish board so was excited to finally try it. It was huge! Full of fish and seafood delicacies like calamari, squid, whitebait, prawns, salmon cakes and chips. It could easily feed 4 as a starter so was way too much for 2 people but for £20pp including s glass of Prosecco, was a bargain! The salmon fish cakes and deep fried prawns were my favourite. It also came with a couple of dips which were aioli mayo and I’m guessing a mushy peas dip which was ok but quite thick. Overall it was little bland and could have done with more seasoning. Also it was quite dry as everything was deep fried, so something a little more saucy to dip in would have helped. However, it’s a nice little restaurant to go for lunch and we sat outside which created a nice ambience whilst watching the world go by. As we ordered a deep fried dish, it was pretty much what we expected but would definitely go again to try the other items on the menu which are supposed to be very good according to other reviews.

A brilliant Italian spot in Portobello, with delicious dishes, traditional elements with a twist. Great service, friendly, and fast. Highly recommend!

Cosy atmosphere and good service. The food was generous in portions and generally good , however nothing crazy , some of the dishes were too salty in our opinion. The apple cake was really nice, moist and flavoursome just like my nan’s

I ended up by chance with my family in this small Italian restaurant and I got two fried seafood selection (prawns, squids, fried rice ball filled with octopus and peas) served into takeaway cones for just £10 each. Everything was delicious, fresh and made in a proper Italian way. Highly recommended.

10/10 one of the best restaurants I've ever been in London. We had the 7 courses dinner and it was all so tasty, real Italian food and such a good deal! We absolutely loved the tonnarelli and even the desserts were fantastic. I also appreciated the vibe of the restaurant, quiet, cozy, not too crowded or with loud music like sometimes happen in other places.

My experience at Fish & Bubble in Notting Hill was fantastic! The hospitality and courtesy were top-notch, and the fish fry was simply delicious - crispy and flavorful. The raw dishes were also excellent. Everything was well-prepared and the atmosphere was welcoming. I highly recommend a visit for a high-quality seafood dining experience. I can't wait to go back!
