All The Details:
My visit to Fish and Whistle in Biddeford came with high expectations, fueled by the chef/owner's reputed pedigree, and I wasn't disappointed. The fish was cooked to perfection, featuring a light batter and fresh, thick, white, flaky texture - it doesn't get much better than that. While the style of fries wasn't my personal favorite, the coleslaw was a pleasant surprise. I usually hate coleslaw, but their version was uniquely delicious.
The drink menu is small but well-curated, making it easy to find a beer that pairs beautifully with the meal. The major drawback of Fish and Whistle is its extremely small size, which proved challenging with a baby. The lack of space for a stroller and absence of high chairs made the dining experience a bit difficult.
Despite these spatial constraints, the quality of the fish alone is a compelling reason to return. On my next visit, I plan to leave room for their unique and fresh rotating ice cream flavors, which I regretfully didn't try this time.
