I really love this Food Market. They have so many tasty foods from different European countries. My favorite is their smoked fish and bread-it’s so good! And sunflower seeds!! The employees are always helpful. I always leave happy and with a bag full of food that reminds me of home! Love this store

It feels like I’m back in a shop from my homeland 🤩. The fish tastes just like it did in my childhood, the pickled goods are top-notch, and the dairy products (especially the cottage cheese) are simply magical. It’s so nice to have a place where everything feels homemade and familiar. ♥️

Came across this local store online and wanted to purchase their items. Willingly paid 30 dollars for shipping and spent 259 total (sent from CA to OR). Part of my order was cancelled without explanation and no reply from email. Sent wrong items and emailed again and no reply. Items arrived and it was picked up within 30 minutes to find only one tiny ice pack and all fish products warm. Everything went bad and smelly. Called the store and was told to call back to speak to manager. Manager the next day said to email to resolve issues. It’s been more than a week and I still have not heard back. What a terrible and disheartening online experience. Absolutely frustrating.

Don’t miss this store if you live nearby, it has so many kinds of smoke goodies! We got salmon jerky and some smoked sausages. I also chose some candies and a small bag of snack. All of them are very delicious! The smoke meats are made so professionally and amazingly tasted. The most important, we also got a rye bread, omg, it is the best rye bread ever in my life! It is freshly baked. It was still warm when we bought it. The taste is so so so good, full of the flavors!

Smoked fish delicacies, kielbasa choices, fresh deli every day, different salads, frozen section is also pretty good. Just you name it, they have it. European chocolate candy, Marshmallows, Cakes, gift boxes, tvorog, kefir, European sour cream and plenty of other products and produce. I love this store! I highly recommend it to anyone who is loooking for something special and delicious. You’ll find it here, no doubt.

I have been a customer for years. They recently moved a few stores down to a bigger and newer location. They are still on the same plaza. If you crave Eastern European delicacies this is a place for you. The owners are very friendly, they always welcome you with a smile. The staff is nice and informative. They always recommend something delicious and let you taste before you buy. They sell a great variety of meats, cheeses, sweets, ice creams, baked goods, salads. Their fresh baked rye bread is so good it always sells out by the end of the day. If you don’t feel like cooking you can buy something ready made for dinner. The store also sells salmon roe and caviar at better prices then Costco and they sell caviar all year around. In addition the store offers catering. I highly recommend this place.

The Poway store has an amazing variety of European products. I love their Polish food. They also have a good selection of German meat, perfect for making sandwiches and traditional dishes. Every time I visit, I find something new and interesting to try. The staff is very friendly and the store has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

This review is for the new location in Oceanside. The store is small but it had a good selection of products. I was able to find some fresh and frozen items to try.

Wow a European market in Poway. You can get all kinds of goodies here. The big letters spell out "European food market" while the little logo to the left says, "Fish Delights". That's because people come here for fish and poke. We did not buy anything on this particular day except to walk through and window shop. It's a tiny little market that sells bread, cheese, cured meats, pastas, ice cream and candy from all over Europe. Even roe and caviar!

The woman at the counter who helped me was very sweet and helpful. I got some caviar, it was pricey but it was excellent! I will be back for the holidays when I like to serve caviar for an appetizer!

Useless empty store. They are always out of everything, probably because they never order enough stock. Lots of expired items. Candy, sunflowers seeds, drinks, prepared foods are sometimes borderline spoiled. Be careful. I shop there all the time and the consistency is ZERO.

These cheese are to die for and my whole family loves it! The bread is freshly baked daily at the store and honestly worths every penny.

Order online finish and couple more things after 2 days this cancel almost all order and for 30$ shipping I pay send me 25$ product and fish not even what order SCAMERS DONT BUY ONLINE I not recommending this store

This store nestled just in the second shopping center in Poway was once the European deli. They have changed quite a bit and have a really nice selection of foods. They have quite an extensive selection of fish. Many varieties and lots of smoked goodness! Of particular interest to me was they had containers of vegetables that are fermented. I asked if they fermented the veggies themselves and they said yes! I will definitely make this deli a destination for future foods for lunch and dinner!

Great soviet and european food there. Love the bread they bake and also recently found great Datschi! It is becoming my regular for sure

Poke bowls. Decent. Fresh fish. Not too salty sauce. Easy to order on a delivery app but go get it. Not Hawaii Poke but what Poke is that other than it? Would do it again sure .

This had delicious Russian Cuisine The Russian salad was delicious just how mom used to make it The impeccable customer service, this is by far the best Russian corner store I've been at.

Love the owners here, they always are so friendly and helpful. The new location is in the same strip mall just few doors down. I'm so happy the store is bigger now. The cabbage rolls are AMAZING!! Try the Russian sour cream.. I will never go back to the American Daisy brand. Our family loves the fresh breads they bake here! You must try the Honey cake the big round one. Not to sweet at all. It's such a great cake for tea time, breakfast or dinner.

SMALL SIZE, UNCOOKED, WRAPPED IN TOXIC PLASTIC WRAP FULL OF CHEMICALS THAT WILL GIVE YOU ( PLASTIC POISONING OVER TIME ) First, this is the "Most expensive Bread in California". Two times more expensive than Whole Foods, the most expensive food store. So for the highest price I was expecting the best quality, however both of the breads were uncooked in the middle, and raw not edible. Bread baker is not trained on how to correctly bake bread or is lazy. For 7$ for small size Bread you need to fire them. #1 mistake - the dough needs to be mixed much better. #2 mistake - the Bread needs to be cooked longer. Inflation is high, prices are higher. People are going to start saving more and spending much much less. In this economy if you keep making this worthless! overpriced! Bread, you are going to go Bankrupt. Do you even eat your own bread?!?!? I guarantee the management and owners NEVER TRIED THEIR OWN BREAD. WHY SHOULD I PAY 7$ FOR RAW BREAD? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS OWNERS. I've ordered from Fish Delights about 10 times now and there have been at least 3 instances where there service had left more to be desired. Once an item had been removed from my order without me being aware of it. Another time, the delivery did not include an item I purchased (cake) while I was still charged for it. There had now been two instances of a delivery being either postponed or the driver forgetting about the order and me having to reach out to get delivery. Also, the caviar I just received and paid over $100 for was frozen. That is bad as this destroys texture and taste. It's doubtful that I will continue shopping here.

So happy to discover this market. My wife is in love with the peppered smoked salmon. I love the Sunflower seed bread. The people are so nice and the prices are reasonable. Great organic heirloom tomatoes when they are in season. More kinds of pelmany than I have ever seen anywhere except maybe San Francisco. Wonderful selection of halvah. Look for the sign that says "European Food Market"

Amazing assortment of European snacks and goods! Wandered around the aisles for a long time exploring dark breads, ryazhenka, and pierogis - felt like I was in a corner store in Russia/Eastern Europe! The bread was still warm to the touch, and it seemed like many of the items were sourced from farmers markets. Will definitely come here again & try the smoked fish next time

I went into Fish Delight yesterday and the young man there was very helpful in recommending different items and helping me find what I was looking for. I purchased Olivie salad, Zrazi Stuffed Potato with Chicken and German round bread. These items were all absolutely delicious. I served the Zrazi with some sauerkraut. I had some homemade tomato basil soup and served it with their German round bread toasted with butter. It was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this store. People are very friendly. I love the new larger store and everything looks great and very organized!

If you are feeling nostalgic for eastern European foods, treats, and produce, then this is the place to go. I don't buy homemade meals there (like salad olivie, meat jello, etc) simply because my mother makes all of that, but I noticed that they are always stocked and everything looks fresh. The store itself is very small, and very pricey, but worth it once in a while. They do in-house smoked fish. Not a cheap treat, but beings back all good childhood memories. They also sell red and black caviar, if you are into that. Their friend seems to be always stocked with various salami and cheeses. You can ask for everything to be sliced for you. Plenty of fun things to find to entertain your curious friends who enevr tried food and treats from that part of the world.

I've had this place bookmarked for a couple of months and finally got to stop in over the weekend. It's a small deli but packed with goodness. No seating, so take-out only. I am testing out Russian recipes for an event and was thrilled to find this place. The ladies working here were very friendly and knowledgable. I was able to taste some of their smoked fish and picked up a variety to take home. My family especially liked the salmon belly jerky, smoked seabass and hot smoked sturgeon. I was tempted to get some of their whole smoked fish, but luckily self-control kicked in. I loved their olivye salad and can't wait to try some of their other deli items. I personally wasn't thrilled about their salami and cheeses, but perhaps it's just a different style than I'm used to in a charcuterie platter. I can't wait to come back and try more items. Love them for extraordinary quality and taste. The black caviar for new year celebration was excellent addition to my festive table. Today I drove into Fish Delights and got on a sale. Pink salmon for $4/lb. I cooked it on the grill and it turned out awesome! I definitely recommend this place!

Fish Delights is more than an excellent shop, delivery service. We were able to quickly find a great variety of food that we couldn't find at our local grocery store, like red caviar and the best smoked salmon I've ever tasted. We were also pleasantly surprised by the discounts they had on all of their products! I'm really glad I found them and will be using them.

Good service - friendly and informative. Nice selection of meats, cheeses, and other flavors of Russia/Ukraine. If you are looking for comfort food or want to experience the tastes of Eastern Europe, it is a nice place to go.

It's a very unique place with a big variety of fish and meat products. I regularly buy the smoked salmon and dry smelt (Korushka) - my favorites. Both are the best I've ever tasted in my life. Salmon jerky is outstanding. All Russian dishes (salads, pirozhki, soups herring, etc.) are like homemade. Crepes both with chicken/mushroom filling and cotta cheese are like my grandmother's. Korean carrots are the best in California for my taste. And I grew up with that dish. Amazing smoked chillian seabass, salmon and sablefish. It's a small business and owners are very responsible for the quality of the products. Everyone is friendly there and they let you taste anything open packaged for free. I hope they will have more locations around the city and a bigger variety of the products they make inhouse.

So happy we found this wonderful seafood smoke house. They have a very wide variety of hard to find seafood treats. Both hot and cold smoked fish. Sturgeon, halibut, and sea bass is what we selected this time. We add it to a fettuccini and you have a very unique meal. It's great anyway you like. They also have several meats, and sausages. Desserts and some very unique imported items. Far to much to list. Everything is fresh and the lady's are very helpful and friendly. We will be back soon

By far one of my favorite stores in San Diego! I feel like home when visiting this store, such warm and friendly atmosphere they have. This is such a great little market/store if you are fan of smoked fish, smoked ham, chicken etc. as well as homemade food. They have very nice selection of deserts as well. I am type of person, who doesn't buy pre-made food, but quality of food here is outstanding and I am stopping by for yummy food once a week.... I am happy that I have discovered this store. P.S. and most importantly prices are amazing, so reasonable...

Came here on a whim when I saw it was right next to GreensPlease. I had heard about this through a coworker and I'm so glad I remembered to pop right in. Tons of meats, caviar, and my favorite Russian chocolates. They don't offer mixed meat combo pelmeni (beef and pork) but they offer them as separate packages. A little price but overall, I'm glad I've found my Russian market.

The staff at this store is extremely unfriendly. They make you feel like they are doing you a huge favor by serving you. The deli salads are not good. I am Russian and the "Russian" dishes like the Olivie salad and The Herring under Fur coat do not taste right. They taste nothing like what they should taste like. I wonder if the owners are actually Russian. The prices are ridiculously high on everything. The quality is low. I have bought sugar covered cranberries in a box just to discover that every single one of them was broken and dried out. Do yourself a favor and drive down to the Continental Deli in La Jolla. That place is the real deal!

After a few years of a regular business with FishDelight I was disappointed with my last order which was made online. My money were taking and held for a week then the store canceled my order because they didn't want to deliver to my address which they were delivering in the past... Service is not reliable.

went in and got some smoked salmon and some garlic peppers. Both were really fantastic and I'll definitely be back. Some of the stuff could use better labeling. The salmon I bought was prepackaged but not labeled, the peppers were labeled but with no price on it (had the $/lb, but not the weight or the final price). My only suggestion is to make it a bit more clear what you're buying and what it costs. This business is not trying to take advantage of anyone or anything, but it would be nice to know the exact price and have labels on everything.

Great craft smoked fish, sausages, and general European deli. The smoked fish is legit, off the chain great eats tho. Check this place out, it's def a hidden gem.

Some time ago I was watching "drive- ins diners and dives" show, the authentic little stores and restaurants and the smoke houses all over America - and was wondering why non of them are in San Diego!!?? Well, now we have a great Smoke house locally !! Its a real smoke house with the greatest variety of food, starting from different kielbasas, pork ribs, pork belly fat, so many kinds of Fish: salmon, sturgeon, mackerel and other (do not know all names :-( ), Caviar red and black, different salads to go along with fish and many more items. They also do a catering with an amazing designs of platters! I used them for my daughter's Bridal shower and all guests were so astonished by the beautiful artistic work and great taste! And all of that can be delivered to your place. The Owners are very pleasant to talk to! Thank you so much Lydia and Andrey for your great business!

They've managed to display a really detailed cross-section of quintessential Eastern European foods into a very small space: various dairy products, baked goods, prepared foods including fermented vegetables, and of course smoked fish and fish roe of all kinds. Coming from another vegetable-and-fish-culture, I deeply appreciate all of the food. All tasty, delightful indeed.

One of the bet places you can find authentic Eastern European delicatessen. If you'd like to impress your guests give them a try. Salads are amazing. Smoked goods - just perfect. My favorite is a red caviar. You must try their dark bread.
