Located in the heart of the Old Town's wharf district (King Street near Union, across from the Torpedo Factory, half a block from the Potomac Water Taxi) I've been a frequent visitor to and long-time fan of the Fish Market. Most often I've taken a seat in one of the booths across from the bar and have been impressed with the energy and quality of the place and its staff. Most recently, I had a light lunch with sautéed mussels in red sauce ($16) with a Moscow Mule (Broken Shed Vodka, Fresh Lime Juice, Owen's Ginger Beer) ($15). Service was excellent, and the music in the background was perfect. So, for that weekend morning, I toured the Torpedo Factory, then crossed the street for a rock-solid light seafood lunch.

Enjoyed our food here. Place is a bit stuffy and lighting is very low. But the servers were great and amount of food was good as well. Would recommend for small groups and family dine ins. They provided a cartoon cup and crayon and sheet for my kid so that was a wonderful touch. Will recommend for seafood cravings in Alexandria!!

Really wanted to love this spot, but it’s painfully mediocre. Their “famous” clam chowder was flavorless and way too thick. The spiced shrimp is the best part, as I’ve never had anything like it. Sort of like buttery Christmas spices on shrimp… it was pretty tasty. But way overpriced and capitalizing on the tourists. It’s a fun atmosphere if you wanted to grab a big Schooner beer and watch a game (Commanders playing filled the place up with energy!) but not a spot for great food. Best part is the staff — they were super warm. If you’re visiting, I’d recommend another spot.

Normal restaurant, EXCELLENT food! I'm from out of state and didn't expect the amount of lobster in my lobster roll. I 100% would come back here with no reservations. All the other food was excellent too!

Google
Overall I wasn’t impressed. It’s located in a spot heavily frequented with locals and tourists, so parking becomes a real challenge. There is a paid parking garage nearby but for what you’ll spend, the garage fees just add to it. The staff are friendly so there’s no issue there. The setting is comfortable and casual but I feel like it could be better. I think the biggest thing is the price. I’m not a seafood person but my wife and son are (which is why I went). Even they remarked that it was pricey for what you got. We started with 6 oysters on the half shell ($18; so $3 per) before eating our main meal. My wife and son ordered the soft shell crab sandwich and did enjoy, but I can’t say the same for my spicy New Orleans style creole pasta. The cream sauce was fine but not worth $27. There was a ton of meat and basically gave me a bit of andouille sausage or chicken for every 1 1/2 pieces of pasta. Oddly they used 2 types of pasta. The biggest problem was the chicken was way overcooked and very rubbery. Yes, I know they focus on seafood, but for the price asked should do a better job. So in closing, this place is not a keeper for

Fried Seafood tasted bad. Seafood seemed old and fryer oil was days old at least. Prices are a little high for what you get. BLT Sandwich was decent. Just pretty mid. Ide go somewhere else. To expensive. Soup chowders were good, tasted mass produced.

So this was our first time eating here. First dish was the crab stuffed avocado and there was absolutely no seasoning at all and the first and second bite was crunchy from the shells they didn’t remove. Second dish was the crab cakes with seasonal vegetables and potatoes. Again the crab cake had absolutely no seasoning and shells were in that too. Very disappointing because they didn’t take the time to make sure all the shells were removed properly. Obviously no one tasted to make sure either . Third dish was the Jamaican Jerk shrimp tacos with french fries. The tacos were good and a bit spicy served in a warmed flour tortilla shell. They probably would’ve been even more tasty if it was a crispy flour tortilla because all my filling fell out while eating. We also had the crab dip. It was a dip nothing else and a mixed drinks. The last dish was the lobster linguine with I think a Rose’ sauce and that was absolutely delicious no complaints about that. Overall I would give them a 6 out of 10.

Dined here on November 23 for a party of 4 during lunch. We did not have a reservation so we walked in and were seated with no wait. Service: Angel was our server. He was polite, friendly and knowledgable. Food: The fried dishes were fresh and hot. While the sides were mildly warm. The clam chowder was luke warm and extremly chunky and I could taste more of a potatoe base than clams. I don't recall eating any clams. It would be helpful to know that the lobster roll is served cold. No issue with cold lobster when it's a choice. The homemade chips were not crispy at all. Ambiance: Interesting decor throughout the restaraunt. There is also a bar nestled downstairs that may be an option another time.

Yelp
Overall, we had a decent time/lunch during our quick visit to Alexander. While we were not blown away by the food (probably due to our own specific preferences), the food was decent. Also, you get a good of food for the price. Some may think the food might be up there in price...until you see how much food is on the plate. For instance, if you are starvation mode, I highly recommend the Cacciucco which comes chopped full of clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari over a HUGE serving of linguini. You'll definately get a bang for your buck with this dish. We also tried the Grilled Pulpo (octopus), which was fine, but we were not a fan of the Asian-style sauce that accompanied the pulpo. While I'm more of a fan octopus with olive oil and a little salt and paprika, the dish was no bad...it just was not my cup of tea. I thought the crab dip was absolutely AMAZING with just the right of crab meat and seasoning. Also, the dip arrived piping hot to the table, which is always an A+ in my book. Although the inside of the restaurant and bar was a bit dark for me, I really enjoyed sitting in the large outdoor area. I was a bit upset with myself to learn that the restaurant has some outdoor seating on the second floor; however, I'm sure one probably has to make a reservation for those seat way in advance. Last, but not least, I thought the service was pretty top-notch.

Yelp
This place is an overpriced tourist trap with terrible service! I went here by myself and was seated right by the restrooms & the dirty dishes station when they they throw the dishes in plastic tubs so as not to have to walk to the kitchen. I asked my waiter if there was another table and he said maybe in the adjoining room where the TVs are. I went in there and there were none and he didn't bother to help me find one. I knew they had an upstairs as had eaten there before so I went upstairs and there were about eight empty tables. A short man whom I later found out was named Walter came up to me and asked me what I needed. I told him was there to eat and could I sit at one of the tables. He got upset that no one had told him I was coming upstairs and he pointed to a booth and said I could sit there and he would return to take my order. Well he never came back to me and would walk right by me to go to other tables where there were large groups but would not even look my way. I kept trying to get his attention but he ignored me. After maybe 20 minutes I got up and found a very nice man and told him Walter would not take my order. This man was nice enough to come over and take my order even though I don't think this was his table to service. When my oyster poor boy arrived, I was very displeased with it. Was on rock-hard bun with one leaf of lettuce and a small slice of tomato; and the oysters were very small and few. Was not nearly worth the $19 they charged for it. I won't be going back because of the poor service from Walter and the terrible food.

Yelp
Stopped here twice in one week while visiting Alexandria because the food and ambiance combo slapped harder than other places. Moon Dancer oysters were our favorite, seafood stew and lobster bisque are very comforting, and the house salad is generously sized and fresh. We also enjoyed some crab legs with fries and cocktails, of course. Service was friendly and quick. Our least favorite dish was a grilled octopus special, however the slaw and tomatoes it came with were rather awesome. Cut sizes were very uneven and some pieces were chewy while others were still pretty slimy. Needs much hotter grilling and long, slender slices instead of chunks...! Two tentacles would be more appropriate for the price as well. Unfortunately Pop's Ice Cream next door closes at 9, every local person recommended we try it, however we prefer to dine later so it was always closed! But this is good to keep in mind if you're not from the area like us... Maybe dessert first!!

Yelp
Food was tasty, but expensive. We got the fresh catch of the day, and the salmon was delicious. The interior was mostly empty at lunch time on Saturday, and the ambiance was a little bland. Service was fast and attentive. Their outdoor seating and balcony are great for good weather.

Richard H.

Yelp
Fish Market is the goto restaurant for us at Alexandria waterfront in summer. The seafood combo includes shrimp, shellfish, and cod. The portion is pretty big. The jerk shrimp taco is also great. We love the texture of the shrimps. The environment is pretty good. Relaxing and charm.

Roberto B.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVE their Steamed Peel & Eat Shrimp. Best in the DMV !!! This place is always a must visit when we come to town. Love the Bar, Dining Room, but mostly outside table. Service was good. Crab Dip was mostly Cheddar (?) cheese. Asked for Bread and no charge. So nice and an easy compliment vs chips. Lobster Bisque was VERY good with plenty of chunks.

Yelp
Decent Old Town option on the heart of King Street. Good service and good atmosphere. Ate on the sidewalk for outside dining. I had the Jambalaya. It had decent flavors. I'd like to go back for the recommended burger. Also, I would like to try the Spicy Cajun with Andouille sausage and chicken. Sounds tasty. Hot spot, maybe make a reservation.

Rashauna H.

Yelp
Visited this spot on a Friday for an early evening dinner. It was not too crowded and they had outdoor seating. The inside is a bit dark, but it is a casual seafood restaurant. It is situated in Old Town which walkable and quaint in and of itself. Be mindful that parking is horrendous in this colonial built part of the city. Use a garage and be ready to spend a pretty penny to do so. We had the seafood bake and the pasta. Both were light and amazing. The pasta was pretty light considering it was in a cream sauce. Anything in old town is cute. So throw on a cute pair of sandals and enjoy seafood with adjacent water views at the end of the block.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner here and had the Lobster Mac. For the price, you would expect it to be more flavorful but it all fell a bit flat. The cheese sauce was very bland and didn't seem like there was a lot of cheese in it. The lobster was really tender and delicious, but the dish as a whole was pretty bland. I had to go home with the leftovers to revamp the whole dish. However, the interior is pretty nice! It is dim in the restaurant but there are lights above the tables, and the bench-style seating and nautical decorations really affirm the fact that you're near the water! The sweet potato fries here are incredibly good, perhaps the best I've had. Unfortunately, they are not pictured here. Overall, I would probably go elsewhere to eat when I go back to this area.

Yelp
Friday date night, Old Town Va. I'm actually closer to the National Harbor but there's just something about strolling through the streets of Old Town. I love the feel, the ambiance the calmness. We didn't wanna drive an Annapolis () because I was in the mood for seafood. So we decided on this spot. I've actually been here several times. They weren't busy and I see why. I believe that the quality of the service and the quality of the product / food should be equal to make my dining experience optimal. Our food was great. Not shown, the Crab Dip and the Seafood Stew. Both were delicious and full of flavor. My crab stuffed shrimp were perfectly cooked, asparagus was crunchy not over done and the potatoes were seasoned very well. He opted for the Anchor Burger which had two patties medium well and a salad which was huge and very fresh. The only disappointment here was the service. Although the dining wasn't busy ( maybe 2 other tables of patrons) our server was attentive at all. Several of the waitstaff seemed to be gathered chatting at the hostess area. I actually had to ask her to find him so that we could get beverages and the check. I probably wouldn't choose them again for that reason alone considering that there are so many other restaurants in the immediate area.

Sunny L.

Yelp
Favorite place to watch a game! Their seafood is always fresh and the service is always fun and friendly. Today we had the lobster tacos, 10/10 recommend!

Stan S.

Yelp
Stopped by for a late lunch (1:30 pm) over the weekend. It was nice and quiet. My friend ordered the lobster BLT and his wife had the mussels. They both enjoyed their meal but no enthusiasm. My wife and I each ordered the fish and chip. We found the fish nicely crispy and flaky with a large side order of steak fries. The service sadly was non professional and matter of frankly attitude. The restaurant lighting was a bit too dim. Otherwise as you can guess it was just three stars.

Steph D.

Yelp
The first question anybody asked me when I mentioned I dined at this establishment was, "...did you have a giant schooner of beer?!?" I did not. But now I understand why the bar side, was busier than the dining room. This seems to be an Old Town legend, bordering on a divey neighborhood spot. I ordered an Old Fashioned to start. On a cold December night, I just was looking for comfort food and ordered two of my favorite dishes -- Lobster Bisque, and Fried Clam Strips. Both were delicious. I think there was some roasted red pepper and the bisque because later that evening, I seem to have the 'burps' throughout the night. But it was worth it! Definitely will come back and perhaps enjoy the bar side the next time I'm in Old Town.

John C.

Yelp
Enjoyed a great seafood meal at Fish Market. The food was very good. The steamed spiced shrimp is a favorite of mine - flavor is great and accentuated with cocktail sauce. Salads are fresh and French fries with hot and a little crispy. Service was very good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we got what we ordered. We tried the crab soup that was also good. The two drawbacks are the prices are a little inflated because the location is in the center of Old Town Alexandria. Great tourist location. The second drawback is that the building is old and not as attractive as a new, bright restaurant.

Londa S.

Yelp
Happy Hour in Old Town sat outside at Fish Market the sitting and view was nice. The service was quick ordered Moscato Wine and calamari. The calamari was crispy and hot the provide you with two dipping sauces.

Ali M.

Yelp
Ohhhhh nooooo... I'm always so sad to let a fave place go. This was a go-to spot for several years - with always-delicious food and drinks. Today the drinks were still spot on (Pilsner and oyster shooter), but the food was as so disappointing. The fish Reuben wasn't fresh and dry... and the captain fried were soggy (I even asked for them crispy since they were mushy the last few times, and I wanted to give them another chance). I tried salting them up and noticed about 100 black specs throughout the salt shaker. I would like to think it was pepper, but it wasn't.. when I told the waitress, she said, thanks for letting her know and that was that. I am so sad - I'm going to miss this place so much. :(

Isabella K.

Yelp
Service was nice, food was delicious! The scallops, salmon, crab cakes, and shrimps and veggies were melt in your mouth! And the 60s music soundtrack was lovely!

Lavinia S.

Yelp
The crab soup and calamari were great. As well as the rum punch. This place is old and feels like an old brick building if you're familiar with those on the east coast. The walk through the little street of places to eat is pretty neat. You can see the water at one end and a string of historic homes down the other mixed with shops and place to eat. Must see and eat. I missed the descriptions if my husband's lobster bisque and my lobster sandwich. We were so excited to eat. They both were filled with giant chunks of lobster. You must try. Entire lunch with two appetizers and two drinks a little over $100.

Samantha L.

Yelp
After shopping in Old Town Alexandria, my parents and I had lunch at Fish Market. We shared Sautéed Mussels in White Wine Sauce, Lobster BLT Salad, and Crab Cake Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. The Sautéed Mussels came with a dinner roll and lemon. I liked how the mussels were fresh and tasty. The Lobster BLT Salad consisted of chopped romaine topped with crispy bacon bits, sliced cucumber, halved grape tomatoes, sliced avocado, halved boiled egg, and generous portion of fresh lobster meat, and served with a tangy lemon vinaigrette on the side. The Crab Cake Sandwich consisted of a broiled crab cake (made of jumbo lump blue crab meat) with lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun and served tartar sauce on the side. Unlike most Sweet Potato Fries I've had, these were thin and flat, but still tasted great. The Seafood Stew wasn't your typical seafood stew. It had the consistency of a porridge loaded with oysters, cod, shrimp, scallops, salmon, and vegetables. It was served with a bag of oyster crackers. Despite its unexpected appearance, it had great flavor!

Peter M.

Yelp
Stopped in with the clan after the Annual Holiday Scottish Walk in Alexandria, and had a wonderful fish & chips for lunch. Service was attentive and quick on the busy day, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and accommodating. We'll look forward to returning next year, and sooner!

Shalita W.

Yelp
We were looking to try something new in the Old Town area. Just so happened to stop to view the menu outside of this restaurant and thought it'd be great. Walked in and was seated right away since there was no other guests in the restaurant besides the bar area. When it came to the food was a bit disappointing. For $24, I was expecting my Seafood Cobb to have fresh seafood....that crab meat definitely came out of a can, still very wet like from defrosting maybe. Then the shrimp in salad were just some cold cocktail shrimp. Not impressed for the price. The 1/4lb of peel shrimp are 6 jumbo shrimp for like 11.99....wayyy too much seasoning for my liking. Overall, nothing stood out enough to return.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Food was not good at all waiter was rude and not attentive Gratuity too high Too expensive Never will go there again

Mary C.

Yelp
While out of town at training we decided, well not me cause I don't eat seafood but other coworkers wanted to come eat some fresh seafood. Parking was what you would expect being in VA in a busy part of town. After weaving in and out of pedestrians and traffic we were able to slide our little 2 door rental in between 2 cars. I took this parking as a win even though we had to walk 4 blocks to the restaurant. First impressions was great this place had outside table sitting under umbrellas and heating lamps in the middle of all the downtown action. We were a party of 4 and arrived about 1830 and promptly were seated inside in a cozy little booth in the back of the restaurant. As we were seated a waitress came and gave us some water and took our drink order, waiting time for this was at a minimum. As we enjoyed our beverages another waiter came to take our food order. Appetizers ordered were the calamari and the Oysters Rockefeller. Now keep in mind since I do not eat seafood my review of the seafood is secondary, my coworkers provided this. The calamari was tasty but a little to chewy for his liking, he prefers his more crispy. Overall he said it wasn't bad but wasn't great. The Oysters Rockefeller had amazing reviews! They even got another coworker who doesn't eat oysters to try it and she absolutely loved it! Main course were a lobster roll which I was told was good I posted a picture but it's not that clear, the crab patty which was jus ok and in their opinion very overpriced for what they got, the seafood Cobb which was a huge portion and extremely delicious and of course my grilled chicken salad which I was disappointed in but who goes to a seafood restaurant and doesn't order seafood, so it was expected. So to sum this whole review up, the atmosphere was great, the service was nice, the food was hit or miss depending on how u like ur seafood cooked. Oh and if u aren't going for seafood stay ur butt home unless u like dishing out 25.00 for a salad u can make at home

Gabby R.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant. The service was okay, and the food was decent. We ordered the crab legs, lobster roll, burger, and seafood boil. I will pass on the seafood boil it was bland and had no flavor. The salmon was really soft and almost disappeared from all the juice that was inside. UT is definelty a no-go. I'm not sure if we will be back.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here. Loved the cod sandwich and delicious chips. Others in our group loved the soups, chicken wings, club sandwich, and French fries. Service was perfect.

Edwin O.

Yelp
Went for a date night and was very pleased. The service was decently timed for our drinks, appetizers and main course. Food tasted very good. Overall we really enjoyed our experience here. We will be back!

Sarita H.

Yelp
My sister and I stopped here for an early dinner. We ordered the Captains Platter to share and the kitchen thoughfulily brought it out on two plates. The food was fresh and delicious and Kate was a terrific server. Highly recommended!

Gisella B.

Yelp
Good service, tasteless-overpriced food. Every single salad has cucumbers (I hate them) except for the Caesar (that would be a crime), so I ordered the house salad $9.99 but asked for egg and bacon instead of cucumbers, radishes and peppers, the salad ended up costing $15, I knew I would get charged extra, but I thought it would be less that $5 for 1 egg and a couple of strips of bacon. But at least it was good with my substitutions. After that I had an appetizer for my main meal, the avocado stuffed with crab meat $22. It was so bad, they didn't even bother removing the avocado peal, so it was extremely difficult to eat. I though the crab meat would come with mayo or a creamy sauce, but it had only some chopped veggies, no sauce, completely insipid. I told the waiter about the avocado peel, and he said that many customers had complaint about the same thing (but they keep serving it that way). I will not be going back. If you decide to go, don't get what I got.

Stella K.

Yelp
Absolutely delightful, to the point where I forgot to take photos of my food Fresh oysters,

Teresa F.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Saturday. 2 adults 3 kids. They charged us a large party fee, which was 18%. It was " funny " because they didn't tell us that information when they sat us. Meanwhile, the whole time we're eating our meal, I'm wondering why our server was so mediocre, with a very blase attitude. Turns out that's probably why, she already had her tip in the bag. One of ordered the lobster linguine. It was so good. One of us got the tuna tower, so good. Shell on spicy shrimp, also really good. I got a fried fish sandwich. It was ok, but dry. No sauce on the bread. No pickled onions, no coleslaw, just 2 sad strings of red onion, one lettuce, one tomato. In other words, the food was pretty good. The service brought the experience down.

Tamika W.

Yelp
WONDERFUL - I usually get fried oysters. This night I tried something NEW. That was the move of the century.... Just typing this, I'm about to reorder this meal. The crab stuffed shrimp!!!' I don't know if I liked the crab stuffed shrimp or the veggies ( zucchini and squash) more. I made my last bite both the shrimp & the veggies!! ....gotta go order more!!Buffalo Shrimp

Kelly C.

Yelp
The service was very good and so was the food. We especially enjoyed the clams (raw and steamed), scallops and stuffed shrimp. Even the veggies and potatoes were exceptionally good. I give these folks three stars for one reason: they automatically put a plastic straw in your water or beverage glass. Why does any restaurant establishment do that today?! PLEASE ask me first and let me choose whether or not I want that nasty plastic straw.

Clifford H.

Yelp
I could really sum this up with one word... BLAND! But I'll expand. The food had zero seasoning. I ordered the Skipper and for $40, it was horrible. I mean it was genuinely pure seafood so if that's what you're looking for then sure, do this. Can't really mess up scallops and shrimp even if they're not really seasoned but the salmon was another story. Dry, no flavor and just a waste. The asparagus was literally just cooked on a fire top/grill in the back and had no flavor as well. The most flavored thing on the plate was the potatoes. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

Jay C.

Yelp
Awesome seafood selections! The craft beers are great as well. It has a proper bar ambiance. Recommend 100%

Will M.

Yelp
My go to place to get lobster roll in old town. The serving size could be bigger but there roll isn't overly mayonnaise which I appreciate. The bread is soft but has a nice crunch. For an apps, I get crab dip or calamari. Crab dip this time was on point. Good amount of crab meat and old bay seasoning. I usually get the sweet water ipa on tap but went with a mezcal margarita which was good. Smokey and spicy flavors. The key lime pie martini was sweet and refreshing. Definitely had a taste of a dessert cocktail. The restaurant has a big upstairs, downstairs, bar, and outdoor seating so there's never a wait.

Han L.

Yelp
We had a good time here, but the waiter was pretty slow. oysters- ok, but not great calamari- great clam chowder- bomb lobster- great pasta- okay clams- pretty good mussels- great we got rice to put in the lobster and it was terrible.

Angie S.

Yelp
We ate in the bar on Independence eve. The 90s dance music welcomed us in. We sat at the bar and were able to sneak in a good order before the kitchen closed. Tasty food! An order of clam chowder & clam strips to start. (Love the sweet chili dipping sauce and horseradish cocktail.) Big portions!! Our Oyster po boy and cod sandwiches were fantastic! Large, fresh sift ciabatta rolls and loads of protein on the rolls. Mercy! Attentive bar tenders, as well. Big 5 stars!

Nadia R.

Yelp
What's not to love about Fish Market?! This place has great vibes and amazing food. Not to mention, the cocktails are made right every time! I've had tons of items on the menu, however, their mozzarella sticks are delicious. And they're literally the size of bricks! Their salmon which is sometimes their fish of the day is another favorite of mine. I'm a girl who fancies Moscow mules...and let's just say, their measurements are perfect every time! I highly recommend Fish Market, especially on Friday nights! The DJ is incredible!

Annette M.

Yelp
I visited in May with a group of 12 and our experience was amazing! Mouthwatering food and great service! I'll definitely visit again when in town.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Loved our time at fish market! We got the calamari and lobster bisque as a small sampler. The calamari was fresh and crispy (just how I like it :) service was a little slow but our waitress was so fun and upbeat we didn't mind at all! Overall, we enjoyed our time at this restaurant and are looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
Went here on Saturday night for a date night and everything was awesome. We were quoted for a 15 minute wait, but we were seated within 5 minutes. It was our first time here, and we can't wait to go back. Angel, our server, made sure we were well taken care of. He checked on us regularly, and was not pushy about putting in our food order, leaving (we were his last table of the night), and made sure we had everything we needed. He did forget about the hush puppies, but told us he'd take it off the check-how nice! The cucumber mojito is a must try. It's so refreshing! Food was flavorful and hot. We started with the Buffalo wings, hushpuppies, and mozzarella sticks. The Buffalo sauce on the wings was flavorful and not too spicy. The mozzarella sticks were huge! Honestly 1 was plenty. And talk about that cheese pull! The hushpuppies were crunchy. I don't really like hushpuppies, but these were delicious! Boyfriend got the fish and chips for an entree and I got the salmon BLT. The fish could've been cooked a little longer, but overall it was pretty good. The BLT was surprisingly good. I had never had a salmon BLT before, and was hesitant to order it. My boyfriend ended up eating the other half of my sandwich he loved it so much. Fries were flavorful and probably some of the best fries I've ever had. We didn't have enough room for dessert, but it looks like they serve ice cream sundaes from Pop's, the ice cream place next door. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The boss-AKA wife's was craving for calamari and seafood and been wanting to try out the Fish Market. We sat upstairs and the ordered the calamari and crab dip while waiting we learned that's the actual building's been around.two centuries-cargo storage and a hospital in the Civil War. Chris L took good care of us and took his recommendation for the Admiral platter which featured mixed grilled seafood and vegetables which was perfect for us to split. It was fresh and delicious especially the U-10 scallops. From what we gathered, this was a super crazy packed restaurant in its heydays but still good place for some really delicious food for date night.

Yelp
Oh, my goodness. Order the crab stuffed shrimp! It was so delicious, by far one of the best seafood dishes I've had in the DMV. Our server was very nice, and it was a perfect day to sit outside. A little pricey but that's what you expect for seafood. Would definitely come back! My mom was jealous of my meal!

Yelp
Always nice to come back and yes a monthly regular depending on season. A really good bbq burger to fish chips or oysters to share with the crew . Also the place kinda of a Pub feel style place overlooking King street or in the back room corner for two or three friends. A great place for a meet up .

Yelp
TLDR; hit or miss food, but pretty good service. Despite their wonderful service, the interior was a bit lacking, and I felt somewhat similar about their food. Their grilled scallops were very good, as was the crab cake sandwich and the Cobb salad. However, their minestrone soup was too salty and the clam chowder wasn't amazing. All in all, I think it was too expensive for the quality of food, but it was a pretty good meal.

Yelp
Let me say that this place is ONLY getting 4 **** because of the bar side. Hubby and I went for dinner because he and some colleagues went for lunch one day and the food was great. We arrived about 6:00 and stood at the hostess podium waiting to be seated. After 10 min. We chose to go to the bar side and sit. Was greeted immediately by caharrana (probably butchered her spelling) she was made for her job. She's awesome to talk to and our order came out promptly. Great experience and will definitely be back to hang with her.

Yelp
This was one of two places my good friend recommended I visit in Old Towne. I was very pleased with the attentive service and my favorite Maryland Crab Soup and drinks at HH. I enjoyed a delicious meal and I look forward to returning again.

Yelp
Oof, a little sad that all of the dishes we ordered were not very good. Pros: a helpful and attentive waiter Plenty of seatings Cons: the Mahi dish was kind of bland The seafood platter was a whole of a lot smaller for the price we paid. Scallops were nice but the fish had an odd taste, the hushpuppies and shrimp were non-existent. The crab dip was nice and warm but it was oily and not very crab-y.
