Fish With You - Review - Koreatown - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Fish With You is a Chinese chain with over 2,000 locations worldwide, including one in Rowland Heights. Now they have one in Koreatown, too. The Sichuan restaurant specializes in suan cai yu, a sauerkraut white fish stew loaded with tingly peppercorns. Choose your fish (basa or snakehead), customize the broth, and add in extras like sweet potato noodles, tofu, or baby cabbage. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Cathy Park

Their chef is from Sichuan ( Szechuan) China, which makes dishes AUTHENTIC!! Unlike Taier (* =) Sauerkraut fish is made by Amigos. I can see all vegetables are freshly cut and cooked while I cross over the kitchen to restroom. Truly appreciate to kitchen staff. They work so hard! Lovely music and good vibe for lunch and dinner. I definitely would take my friends here next time. PS: They have different kind of gift all over time! The server told me that they gave more than 300 Labubu to their customers last month. Unfortunately that promotion is over :(

Definitely a great option for authentic Chinese fish dish. The fish soup is indeed worthy of 2 thumbs up!! The taste of the broth is sour and fresh mixed with the savory taste of fish. As a native Chinese, this is the taste of home. I also went to this same franchise in China, in Canada (Vancouver specifically) and more places! They have over 2,500 restaurants worldwide. Recommended if you never tried!

This was my first time trying fish soup, and I absolutely loved it. The signature hot oil soup was a standout – rich, garlicky, and incredibly flavorful. The Laptan soup offered a delightful contrast, being more sour but equally yummy. It's great to know that if fish isn't your thing, they also offer a spicy beef soup. Every dish we ordered was truly great, even if they leaned a bit on the salty side. We had a great experience, and I'm already recommending this place to all my friends! You should definitely check it out.

This is my favorite spot on Alexandria! I've tried all the restaurants here and this one consistently has the best flavor. I've almost tried the entire menu at this point - I recommend the Laotian fish soup with snakehead and extra side of noodles

It was incredibly delicious. Before ordering I was a bit worried it might be pre-made food, but it definitely wasn’t. It tasted amazing, and the oil and seasonings were all top quality, just like authentic flavors back home.

First time visiting Fish With You and I really enjoyed it! The sour fish soup was delicious — rich, tangy broth with tender fish — and all the side dishes we tried were great. I’d definitely recommend ordering a few to share. They’re also running a Labubu event right now, so I even got to take home a Labubu, which was a fun bonus. Overall, great food, friendly service, and I’ll be back to try more!

If you’re craving authentic Chinese flavors in LA in Ktown is a hidden gem worth checking out. Valet $5 in this plaza I came here for sauerkraut fish, and after the first bite, I realized: this is what it’s supposed to taste like. The balance of sour, spicy, and savory was perfect — bold but not overwhelming. Even the white rice was perfectly cooked, with individual grains that held up well to all the flavors. We ordered a few dishes to share, and all of them hit: 💛Signature Hot-oil Sauerkraut Fish – Tangy, numbing, and addictive. The broth was so good we couldn’t stop spooning it over rice. 💛Mao Xue Wang (Spicy Beef & Offal Hot Pot) – Rich, fragrant, and packed with flavor. If you like bold, spicy dishes, this is a must 💛Tomato Fish – For something lighter and non-spicy, this was a great choice. The tomato broth is sweet, savory, and surprisingly refreshing. 💛Golden Soup Beef – If you don’t eat fish, this one’s for you. The beef was tender and the golden broth was full of flavor. We couldn’t finish everything, but the staff packed it up nicely. Also worth noting — the tip options start at 10%, which is rare and much appreciated in LA.

I had an amazing lunch here with their signature hot oil sour pickled black fish m. The broth was perfectly tangy and spicy, with tender fish and just the right amount of pickled mustard greens. The portion was generous and you can chose one or for two person. You can eat as many rice as you like. Their maoxuewang is good too—rich, numbing, and packed with tender duck blood, tofu skin , chewy noodle and bean sprouts are swimming in that addictive mala broth. The service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant had a clean, relaxed atmosphere. Great value for the price too! If you’re craving Sichuan spice this place delivers!
