I came here for sauerkraut fish, and after the first bite, I realized: this is what it’s supposed to taste like. The balance of sour, spicy, and savory was perfect — bold but not overwhelming. Even the white rice was perfectly cooked, with individual grains that held up well to all the flavors.
We ordered a few dishes to share, and all of them hit:
💛Signature Hot-oil Sauerkraut Fish – Tangy, numbing, and addictive. The broth was so good we couldn’t stop spooning it over rice.
💛Mao Xue Wang (Spicy Beef & Offal Hot Pot) – Rich, fragrant, and packed with flavor. If you like bold, spicy dishes, this is a must
💛Tomato Fish – For something lighter and non-spicy, this was a great choice. The tomato broth is sweet, savory, and surprisingly refreshing.
💛Golden Soup Beef – If you don’t eat fish, this one’s for you. The beef was tender and the golden broth was full of flavor.
We couldn’t finish everything, but the staff packed it up nicely. Also worth noting — the tip options start at 10%, which is rare and much appreciated in LA.
