Yelp
How can I talk highly enough of this place? Long road trip from Boise to Redwoods, four college students. We pulled over on a whim because we got hungry and saw the sign. The minute we walked in, friendly service. The woman behind the counter was very helpful in placing our order. Next, we sat ourselves on the enclosed area. Nice and warm, though it was chilly that day, but bring a light sweater! We were the only people there since it was the first day they'd been open for the season.
The food came out quickly. I cannot express how much you will regret it if you don't come here. I ordered the clam chowder, rockfish, oysters, and chips. My friends ordered the halibut and chips. Literally (not figuratively literally but LITERALLY literally) the best fish and chips I've ever had. I didn't even really remember what drink I got or how I felt about the chowder (a little thick for my taste, if I recall correctly) because I was busy having the best. Fish and chips. I've ever had. I'm from the PNW so I've had my fair share. The breading was perfect, the fish was fresh and cut to ideal sizes, and the meal wasn't too greasy, which are typically my qualms with fish and chips. The fish didn't fall apart in the tartar sauce (which, by the way, was perfectly seasoned). The coleslaw was TO DIE FOR. The fries were exactly the right amount of crispy, salty, and golden-brown. Table was well-stocked with condiments. On the way out, we were given another friendly goodbye and a request to review on Yelp, thanks for coming in. We've got you, lady. Can't wait to come back!
