Fisherman’s View in the Barnstable area is a must-visit if you’re craving fresh seafood with a scenic waterfront backdrop. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, with indoor and outdoor seating that gives you a great view of the harbor. It’s the kind of place that feels upscale but still very Cape Cod casual.
We splurged on the king crab legs and were not disappointed. At $90 for a pound, they’re definitely a treat, but the portion was generous and the meat was sweet, tender, and perfectly cooked, totally worth it if you’re looking to indulge. We also tried the dragon roll, which was excellent. It had a fresh, balanced flavor and was beautifully presented.
The calamari was another standout, lightly fried to a crisp and served with a flavorful Thai-style sauce that added a little kick without overpowering the dish. And the 2-pound lobster for $42 felt like an absolute steal. It was sweet, juicy, and came with drawn butter, of course.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, Fisherman’s View offers great value for the quality and quantity of food you get. Whether you’re going all out with crab and lobster or keeping it simple, you really can’t go wrong here.
