Interesting setting, short menu, excellent product, expertly cooked, pleasant informal but very attentive service. We went for lunch on a Wednesday, was moderately busy. It is in a very open part of one of the reused massive factories of this area, all the walls and ceilings are concrete. Wondering if when it's very busy if it might get noisy. Very small kitchen, looked not much bigger than a large closet. Amazing what they can do from it. Long bar with a kind of Rat Pack era Vegas look. Usual custom cocktail list. Made me want to come back some evening to try a couple, along with a couple of things off the raw bar menu - oysters, shrimp, a couple of different crudo options.
I had the hot fish sandwich, beautiful catfish filet, broiled, glistening with red chili oil. Very spicy at first, but as it cooled got less so. Eating it with bites of the chopped lettuce and very nice bun that it sat on made for a very tasty combination. I'd get it again, but after I tried the tuna melt, which the waiter said is fantastic. My buddy had the chowder, which he said was tasty but didn't have enough of the melange of seafood listed in its menu description. Lots of potato chunks though. We also shared the beet salad and buttered fingerling potatoes, both well prepared.
Disappointed that they didn't have ice tea. Moderately priced, my sandwich, side, and coke came to about $30 Before tip.
