My first time visiting this establishment. I met the nice owner Broc Flores. The staff members were all very nice and helpful offering recommendations and samples. The place was clean. I saw the schedule of events which were a wide verity from Yoga to Trivia. The two beers I tried were very good!

After riding the Jacksonville Baldwin Trail on our bicycles, we went here to have a beer. Unknown to us that evening they were having a farmers market out back of the brewery. Very cool got to look at some cool farmers market type stuff and buy some fresh organic vegetables and just hang, cool atmosphere!!

Had the stout, it was pretty good. I’m always on the hunt for that “perfect stout”. Was it close? No But it still satisfied what I want in a stout. The beertender was very nice.

Google
Nice place to hang out. Their Beer is okay I guess.. at $8 each I would hope for extraordinary beer, but I love the no-tipping policy so I guess I'm fine with it.

Fishweir is a neighborhood gem with great beer, friendly staff, and the best vibes around. They've got a beer selection with something for everyone-- from porters to IPAs to sours, and even wine, seltzers & kombucha. The food trucks on the weekends are always great too. We have 2 young kids and have been so grateful for "The Backyard" as a place to enjoy some beers with our neighbors where the kids can have fun too. We've even made friends with some of the other patrons here. Fishweir has become part of our usual weekend routine. We love this place!!!

Google
Fishweir was a neat little spot to stumble upon in Murray Hill! The beer was really good and the outdoor back patio was a great spot to enjoy it on. There was a farmers market going on inside and on the patio that had all sorts of different offerings when we went so that was a neat touch as well. It should be noted that they do not offer food so plan accordingly but there are lots of good spots to eat in the area afterwards anyhow so it's not a big deal.

Google
While the beer is always good and the environment is good. I guess they changed rules and don’t allow dogs in the back any more. I have probably taken my dog back there 30 times and have always walked through the brewery. Today was an exception when I was informed it’s not allowed. Seems ridiculous to not allow it at a brewery for well behaved dogs.

Google
Friendly staff, great space, and tasty brews! Their mission is to create brews that are different than the normal craft brews in the area and they are doing just that. Sours reign supreme here. I also enjoyed the locally brewed gallberry cider. A revolving selection of food trucks park out front and there is also a taco place next door. If you're interested in community involvement and meeting new people, check out the run club, art class, yoga, or one of the other many activities listed on their monthly calendar. Will be back... again and again!

Yelp
Great brewery with plenty of space inside and outside. Good variety of beers on tap. Had the hazy IPA and the cucumber sour. Both were good beers. The staff was friendly and they even had a food truck out back that smelled delicious. Parking was a bit limited so be aware of that.

Yelp
My wife and I have been to this amazing brewery multiple times. It's a great place to come on a beer date, bring friends/and or family as they are very family friendly. The service is top notch very knowledgeable and chill at the same time. They have a large selection of different beers and other drinks such as seltzers and some NA selections. They don't have food at the brewery but usually have a food truck (the hungry owl) in the back lawn area that is amazing!! They also allow you bring in food from outside and there is a lot of restaurants in the area. Highly recommend coming here for a great experience.

Yelp
Fishweir has my fav local brew in town- the coffee blonde bait and switch! I love coffee and i love beer, but I dont always want a coffee stout or porter. But Fishweir has nailed a smooth delicious strong coffee blonde! It's refreshing while packing the flavor without being bitter or heavy. Yum yum yum. The staff is always nice and brewery has a lot of indoor and outdoor space. Dog friendly btw. The worst part is this brewery (like most nowadays) are SO dang family friendly. I dont want to drink with a bunch of children or babies, I just dont. I get that parents need a place to gather but could breweries maybe have certain hours or days that are adult only??? I cant be the only beer drinker that feels this way.

Yelp
I came here while working on completing the JAX Beer Trail. The staff were really nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the choice of music in the establishment as well. Plenty of room inside and there is a backyard area too. Now onto the beers... Their coffee blonde, bait and switch, is very approachable and would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to get into beer or just wants something refreshing. The other and my favorite was their barrel aged sour, currant and apricot! I did use the pub pass for one of my beers while I was there and they are the first brewery I've had actually limit my options on what I could choose. So please be aware of that brew pass holders. The Murray Hill farmers market is set up in the backyard of this establishment every Wednesday between 5-8pm. Also, you can join their Oak Club where you and other members meet monthly to try out beers before they are released to the public, limited beers and have some input on their direction of the sour beer program! Highly recommended,

Yelp
Cute space and has the space for large groups. We tried 4 of their beers - they were good, not great.

Yelp
Fun local spot to enjoy a cold beer and on Wednesdays, a nice Farmers Market with actual local growers and makers. Cold beer, friendly service and clean! The outdoor space is lovely also!

Yelp
Today I visited Fishweir Brewing Company for their weekly farmer's market. The ability to support small businesses is very important to me and this was such an inviting place to do it. I saw people selling honey, plants, body butters and even fresh cauliflower. Everyone was super friendly and I purchased an African Basil plant from a young girl starting her first business. This was definitely a lovely place to be on a random Wednesday in Jacksonville.

Yelp
This is one of our three favorite breweries in Jacksonville, with exceptional Sours and other funky beers alongside staple styles. Their back patio is awesome for families and their Friday food trucks have been a hit the few times we've made it for dinner. The folks that worn here are also super friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. Our only disappointment is that dogs aren't allowed on the back patio. I am sure it's because it's turf. The front patio where dogs are allowed is usually close to smokers on the sidewalk, so the couple times I've sat up there you end up having to deal with the smell of secondhand smoke while hanging out with your pets. We wouldn't be able to bring our kids and pup at the same time and hang out on the patio.

Yelp
Cool place with nice beers right on the Edgewood strip! Employees were quick to refill or suggest a new beer Would recommend

Yelp
This was a nice open and bright brewery me and my friends stopped by while waiting for another restaurant opening. It was a Saturday night FSU football game so everyone was lively and it was busy but all the bartenders were helpful in recommendations and checking on us. We tried the cider they had that was really good and not pictured my other friend got a Vodka Mule that was also tasty. There was a back patio we didn't realize and want to check out if we stop in again. I'd definitely come back for a chill place to watch a game or catch up with friends.

Yelp
Gotta love a brewery with some standard ambers on draft!! Favorite brewery I've been to in a LONG while. I HATE hops and all the ambers and the stout were phenomenal... perfect with minimal hop. I didn't try anything IPA to speak to if they are going to be more suitable for the craft hop enjoyers, but if you like a standard beer this is definitely the place to be!

Yelp
Place to have a relaxing drink the atmosphere is great you would never think of a lot of my friends as well place as well

Yelp
Laid back brewery with fantastic brews. We been to Fishweir a few times and I always try different brews. I love their coffee blonde, Bait & Switch. Rich flavor yet very drinkable. All the sours I've tried have been really good. Hubby's favorite is the hazy double IPA.

Yelp
I came into Fishweir Brewing last night for a little get together and I liked it. This place has a great deal of parking in front and in the back but it still can fill up. There is a small covered porch in front that is perfect for enjoying some outdoor air with a friend or dog. The staff was really nice and quick with orders. The inside is smallish but has a good ambiance. You can walk out back where there is an area with grass and more outdoor seats. I saw a family with a baby and a big group chatting. I tried a few of the beers and nothing stood out as really special. But this place has other beers on tap to try so it is definitely worth a return trip.

Yelp
Loved this brewery. The way their menu is displayed is so unique and cool. The cider was amazing and I'm not a beer person. They have a very nice outdoor area for kids or if you want to enjoy the nice florida weather. Staff was very helpful since I am not familiar w beers. Def a great place to stop in. They do have a small food menu for Nashville hot chicken.

Yelp
Came here with some friends last week. Their main outside seating area was closed, but we enjoyed getting to sit on the front porch and chat for a few. The servers were amicable and the apricot mango sour I tried was good. I'm not sure I'd come back here again if given the choice. Maybe getting to use the outside seating area would've changed my perspective, but I can't speak to that. Overall it was an average experience. Not bad, but also not great.

Yelp
I've been to Fishweir a few times and have always enjoyed the beer. The staff is friendly, the beer tasty, and the environment inviting. It has high ceilings that really open the place up and some fancy tilework. They have TVs for watching games there and a long wall of drafts. Interestingly enough, the last time we went, they did not have the option to leave tips for the servers when paying by credit card. I am not sure if they no longer accept tips or what. Even though it was a brewery they did offer wine and NA options. My only critique is of a specific situation (and it's still a 5-star spot). We had Pub Passes (basically it pre-pays for beers sort of where you can grab a beer at a variety of places). Me and my friends got them for Xmas and were going to different bars around Jax, I was enthusiastic about Fishweir and it was our first stop. The downside was that while every other establishment allowed us to pick a pint of any beer (I've done this in Jax and Tampa) Fishweir was the only place I have ever encountered that limited the beer to a half pint of a specific beer on tap. If you are using a Pub Pass, I would not go out of your way to Fishweir, otherwise it's a great place.

Yelp
This was a great find! Luckily while we were across the street at Town Beer Co. they mentioned that Fishweir was right there or we would have lost our parking space, which is limited in that area. When walking in, the place was packed as they were showing the FSU game and everyone was out for that but we were lucky to grab two seats at the bar. As usual, we got a flight to split and I fell in love with their Level Up - Dragonfruit/Kiwi Sour. So much so that I ended up leaving with a growler full of it to bring back to Tampa. It is actually pretty rare when I like something so much to get a growler for myself but hey it happens. The staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions and give us small samples of other things we were curious about. When back in the Jacksonville area, we will be returning here for sure.

Yelp
Fun place to chill, have a beer and relax. They have different activities and specials going on all month. They don't have food but you can bring food from any of the many options of Murray Hill. Beers are ever rotating so a lot to pick from and new things every time. The staff are super friendly and answer all questions.

Yelp
After finishing dinner at El Jefe, time for a cold craft beer. Neither my friend nor I had been to Fishweir before, and since it's pretty close to where we ate, decided to give them a try. I ordered the Hasta la vista, Hazy while mine drinking buddy went with a Dad Bod. Indoor seating was getting tight, so we took up chairs on the front patio, where we met Fisher, a very friendly lab. So now another dog-friendly place to go with our pooch once mama returns. My Hazy was good, but not quite as hoppy as I prefer, while my friend said his Dad Bod was hoppier than expected. After we had finished our beers, we discovered a small farmers market outside the back door , which I will definitely be returning to explore further.

Yelp
Fishweir makes damn good beer. My wife and I have been coming in fairly regularly since they opened, and they've only gotten better and more diverse in their options. So far, they haven't ventured into the really esoteric small batch-type offerings, at least not regularly -- but they produce a ton of crowdpleasing options. Their dark beers, their sours, and the coffee blonde are all excellent. The space is beautiful. If you're looking for somewhere to watch a game, they've got a bunch of TVs well-positioned for maximum visibility. They've also got some board games to play while having a few drinks. Food-wise, they used to have a tremendous synergy with Murray's Taco Bodega next door, where the Murray's folks would just walk the tacos over to you (miss you Murray's!!) -- but now, they'll occasionally have a food truck outside, along with Moon River and the other standbys a little further away in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Let's get the party started! TGIF. I love the renovations they did to this place before they opened. I love the high ceilings. Outdoor patio is pet friendly and I like this a lot. Inside-community tables, separate tables, the long bar, the back room that can be used for private events and finally the glass wall allows you to see the Brewery operation. I love this place. Every time I come here, they are very busy. I finally waved at one of the Bartenders and he a knowledges me that he would be right with me. It was about ten minutes before giving our orders. But, it's all good. I did not mind the wait. My friend, Dee got the beer flight and I had red wine. My wine was delicious. It sure made all of my stress wash away. I love the fact that they are kid friendly too. They also have wooden nickels to purchase and use for a later date. I look forward to coming back soon.

Yelp
Another great addition to Murray Hill. A welcoming place to just hang out, even if you aren't a beer drinker. For those that do enjoy beer there's a good variety of beer available. If you're hungry you can order tacos from Murray's Taco Bodega. I've tried several tacos and they've all been delicious! Small porch out front where you can sit and even bring your dog.

Yelp
Picture perfect brewery in Murray Hill? Oh yes you heard ( or read) correctly, say hello to Fishweir Brewing Company! Locally owned and loved this is a new ruby to the area. My first experience here was during Postures & Pints! If you aren't sure what that is listen up! Every Sunday at 11 AM Fishweir offers a yoga class for $10 with a complementary beer! If you never have tried yoga or Fishweir, this is a great excuse to try both! Upon entering the brewery, I was taken back by the interior design and feel of the place. It had a calm vibe to it that made me want to stay a while. I was especially drawn to the outdoor patio in the front which is ideal for a beautiful Florida day. What to order? Be adventurous, and try something new! I tried the Hazy IPA, which had the perfect amount of hop and booze! Anywhoo Yelpers, I cannot wait to come back and bring some friends! Thanks Fishweir!

Yelp
First time here! Love the looks of the place. Lots of seating inside and out. Not sure if they have the service part down when it comes to ordering beers. As there is a line vs patrons bellying up to the bar to order but maybe this works best... great selection of beers as I do like sour beers and there were three on the menu! The four of us each did a flight. Seems like everyone enjoyed their selections. FYI- they had a sign about yoga on Sunday's at 11am- bring your mat and cost is $10 I think.

Yelp
What a great find!! On a warm Florida day we stumbled in hot, sweaty, hungry and parched. The AC was ice cold and the decor was surprisingly, er feminine. Most breweries are all wood and metal and leaning towards the side of industrial. Not Fishwier. Cool colors that all complement each other. The polished wood bar beckons and did not disappoint. It was sanded smooth and had a great coat of polyurethane. It was cool to the touch and just enough different to make it memorable. I found the bar stools a tad uncomfortable but that could just be my own personal preference. Taps!! They have thier own lovelies and some guest taps. I fell head over heels for the mead (guest tap) that was punky lemonade!! Cool, crisp, refreshing and delightful..(let's not forget delicious!) Hubs had the Kung Fu Hazy IPA and he was a big fan of it! No food BUT!!!! They will order Murrays Taco Bodega for you and the staff will run it over to you!! Highly recommend!! Yum Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Staff are all happy, helpful and friendly. Check this place out!! Enjoy!!

Yelp
Love the vibe from Fishweir Brewery the staff is very friendly. Not to mention the beer is amazing!!! I highly recommend this brewery if you are in the Murray hill area.

Yelp
It was okay for an opening day. I was disappointed that they didn't have the IPA, main brew I wanted to try, but their lineup is pretty solid. The place is nice, can definitely tell that the lady owner had her hand in designing/creating the place. Staff were friendly and the brews were good, the bait & switch is one interesting brew. Go try it :)
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome local brewery with a great beer garden out back! Great for kids to play while you're sipping on some delicious local brews.

Yelp
Confession- I don't drink beer. I am the DD for my other half who LOVES craft beer. So my review is based on aesthetics and how much he enjoyed he beer and/or flights of beer. This is one of the few breweries left on the Jax hitlist that we hadn't been to. My youngest was in town and also loves craft beer- so we all went together. The brewery has a great location in Murray Hill right on Edgewood- I love the front porch/patio where you can sit, drink and watch the goings on of the main drag. Inside I was greeted with a clean, cool interior with one wall adorned with label art for all of the brews. I always love this! On the right side there are windows that you can make out barrels lining the other room. Plenty of seating at high tops, lower tables, along the bar and they even have a little comfy nook with a plush sofa. Hidden to me at first was the "Backyard"- I found it because I used the clean restroom. Down the back hallway you find yourself on a turf covered, open space with tables and chairs- Adirondacks and even a tv mounted outside. It was a lovely day- so I "pssst" to my guys to follow me. With the- where-are-you-taking-us looks, they were pleasantly surprised when the had the view of the open yard. Great space for big groups and family friendly too! The guys thoroughly enjoyed all the the beers they sampled. Win-win! And I ran into Yelp friends~ if that's not an endorsement, then I don't know what it!

Yelp
Great selection of locally brewed beer. They always have a few favorites on tap like King of the Hill, a hazy IPA. They also offer lagers, sours, and seltzers on rotation. This place doesn't serve food but you can order from any place close by and bring it in to eat with your beer.
google avatar

Tish C.

Yelp
My godson's first birthday party was held there. I will admit I gave my friend the side eye when she said she wanted to have it there. I didn't see beer and babies as something that would mix well together. There is a lovely patio area with chairs and turf so children can safely play. By having the party out on the patio there was not the crossing of children and drinking adults who do not want to interact with kids. The restrooms were close to the patio area so again there was no crossing of bar and kids. I wish they served food, I could see spending time there on a warm afternoon.
google avatar

Kai S.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with craft beer and Fishweir Brewing Company has a pretty nice growler with an airtight seal on it so you know it'll stay fresh! Try them out!
google avatar

Anthony C.

Yelp
This is a top notch brewery and the owners re super nice and the staff is very friendly. The beer is cold and it is nice to see the rotating and new releases. I had the Ancho and Anaheim Milk Stout. This was fantastic. They now have pizzas delivery setup with FU Pizza so you do not have to leave to grab a bite along with rotating food trucks.
google avatar

Patrick J.

Yelp
Not bad. I liked the saison and the pionette beer they serve here. Good dough was doing an event at the time we went so we got some great donuts while there. The overall vibe of the brewery is pretty chill. They had live music when went on a late Saturday afternoon. Music wasn't too bad so it might be something worth looking into if you plan to come here.
google avatar

Aubrey H.

Yelp
Fishweir is a great place to hand out pre/post dinner in the Murphy Hill area. You can even order food and bring it to the brewery with you. They have great indoor seating as well as a beer garden outside. The inside and outside during the evening are appropriate for families with children.
google avatar

Yelp
Packed out! This place draws a crowd. I saw the line go down maybe once. The brewing Co is largely sized and very clean. At first I was confused as I didn't see a wall menu but than they pointed out the brews were in the frames on the wall. Okay than give me a sampling of the lights. I ended up loving the Bromance even though I'm not a Bro, I'm a Sis LOL . The staff team were awesome and eager to help with all the beer types. I'm loving this Edgewood street lately!
google avatar

Yelp
Cool place! Moving right along getting our Jacksonville Brewery Passport filled .. (I know, right? But you gotta have goals in life). Great staff and comfortable sphere. Didn't explore the beer menu extensively, but what we had was great
google avatar

Loralye E.

Yelp
Very cool hipster spot in down town area of Jax. Beer is good and most home brewed if I remember correctly. Prices were decent. It's a nice hang out spot for groups that want to come and go or linger for a while. They don't have any food but partner with the taco place next door and you can order tacos and bowls at the bar and have it brought over witch is super convent. Only down is that it does get very loud. It's a big weekend hit; loads of fun if you come with a big group
google avatar

Pilar M.

Yelp
Very good Nice place to visit and enjoy Beer tasting delicious Order food from the side restaurant and was great Highly recommend to everyone Nice environment and friendly staff

Ashleigh P.

Yelp
This brewery was so much fun. Loved it! Also, the chicken from the place next door is sooo good and prepared quickly. There is also a pizza place across the street you can order from as well.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
I didn't have any food while here as I was in the area for a 5k which they sponsored. The beers were all very good. The interior was clean and spacious. Most importantly the staff was outstanding considering 90% of the people who were coming in were just there to use the restroom. The were friendly, helpful, and patient.
google avatar

Steffani F.

Yelp
The Murray Hill area is an up-and-coming neighborhood in Jacksonville. Fishweir Brewing Company is recently renovated local brewery and has a clean, comfortable atmosphere. We were fully engaged with the beer menu when we ordered but I don't think they serve food. (I don't remember seeing anyone with food.) We tried a beer flight and love them all. If our house was closer, we'd probably be here all the time. Bottom line-good beer and good vibes.
google avatar

Denise W.

Yelp
Great place to have beers and wine. I love that they have a good selection of sours for me! Lots of TVs for sports watching. Being from out of town, our server Patrick was amazing filling us in on the Ale Trail. A don't miss stop!

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff, the beer is very tasty and people here seem to always have a good time.

Yelp
If you want a clean and hip brewery to grab beer this is your spot. They don't have their own food but nearby restaurants like Moon River Pizza deliver right to your table. They host several events like running, yoga and beer and cupcake pairings. Bait and Switch (their blonde coffee ale) is my favorite. My wife tried their tropical hard seltzer and said it was like a more flavorful White Claw. My only complaint is that their service was poor on my last visit. My party of 3 came in and stood at the counter for over 4 minutes without being greeted, acknowledged or the even the traditional "i will be right with you". One bartender was pretty busy serving patrons but the other young lady was just chatting with other customers the entire time we just stood there. She even made eye contact with us and continued her story and moved down to the next couple and began chatting with them and never poured a drink for anyone but she did remove two empty glasses. The other guy finally acknowledged us and took our order when he finished with the other customers. I've had better experiences with their customer service so I am going to give them a bad night pass. Tip: There is a small parking lot behind Maple St Biscuit Company if you don't find street parking. Also check Groupon for deals on their flights of beer. You can save up to 40% with Groupon if you want to sample a lot of beer.

Jammie W.

Yelp
The beer was really good. Atmosphere was so so, they have a nice back years. The female bartender was very rude and not a happy person. We will probably come back for another try, she could of just been having a bad day. Overall we did not feel welcomed there and just left.
google avatar

Stephen D B.

Yelp
Always love coming here. Service is great and the beer is fantastic. Coolest part of this brewery is that they do test batches of their beers so there is always something different to try. Please bring back the cucumber sour!

Yelp
Fantastic brewery in Murray Hill. Great beer, not too expensive, and fantastic owners and staff. Will definitely be coming back!
