The First Timer’s Guide To Drinking In London - London - The Infatuation

"We don’t mean to alarm you, but Fitz’s has a disco ball. And friends, it’s a big one. In Bloomsbury, this hotel cocktail lounge is full of plush pink sofas, long feathers, an open fireplace, and a huge, gold backlit bar. Basically, it’s exactly the kind of space where you can picture a tipsy Greta Garbo whispering to someone handsome in the back corner whilst sipping on their excellent signature cocktail, The Spy Princess. Just keep in mind that the cocktails here are all around the £15 mark, so your bill can stack up quickly." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

What a great experience. Glad that we had reservations are may have waited a few minutes. Everyone there was great from the hostess to our waiter. Would highly recommend visiting this place. Also took home desserts the Gooey Butter Cake and Apple Crisp, very delicious they both were.

Google
My first time here and it was great. I had the st louis BBQ burger and the Gooey Louey, of course majority of the burger had to come home. It was big and flavor was great but I had to save room for that float. Oh my goodness. Needless to say as yummy as it was I couldnt finish that either. The waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was great. I love the factory inside the restaurant that was definitely one of my favorites. Oh and of course I have to add the homemade root beer was delicious one of my favorites. (I always order homemade/ house brewed root beer when it's available. Fitz was in the top 3 of my favorites)

This is what nostalgia taste like. This restaurant is fun and a great place to escape when home visiting family for the holidays and you’ve grown tired of turkey. Don’t bring your New Year’s resolutions here. Now when I get a bottle of Fitz‘s at Pops on Route 66 in Oklahoma, I’m reminded of the lovely times we had here.

Google
Location and decor could not be more spot on. Great atmosphere with a peak at their bottling area. Food was good and they have a large selection of their soda on tap. Food was good, desserts were even better. I thought I might be walking into an A&W restaurant, but very happy to be wrong!

Was in town for a tournament and stopped here with the kids afterward to celebrate. I can’t believe I found a restaurant with smiley fries- my kids were super excited. Also, the root beer floats were so good but ginormous. I’m happy they offer the option to split them, it was the perfect size for the kids. It was an upcharge but so worth it, rather than buying an entire extra milkshake that would be way too much for them! Joey A was our server and was very attentive and made great recommendations. Will be back again next time we’re in town!

Google
I've tried this place a few times. I have really liked the salads here. Wanted to try the meatloaf but they were out. On a separate visit, they were out of ice tea. Didn't like the Chili mac. It's more of a pasta mac and cheese dish.

Google
Food was amazing and Joey, my waiter, he was great! Came back multiple times to ask how we were doing!! I will for sure be coming back! :) I got the Buffalo wrap and I totally recommend if you love spice

Google
This place is GREAT! I’m not a big soda drinker but Fitz’s root beer goes down smooth and tastes delicious! I’m hooked! Their pulled pork nachos hit the spot and tasted great too! We loved their root beer so much we bought a case to take back home!

Yelp
It's been years since I've been to Fitz so we decided to give it a try again. We made reservations and when we arrived (albeit 4 minutes late) we were about to be immediately taken to the table but then the other hostess told the one with our menus to wait. We sat for quite a while, at least 10 minutes plus and asked if we could sit at the empty booth nearby. The hostess said yes, we're saving it for you. We were thinking it needed to be cleaned or something but it never was. Others came in and were seated and we asked again and then finally were seated at the booth so I'm not sure what was up with that. They were notably crowded and our server Thomas came over to get us started. He was very busy but kudos to him for being attentive, making sure we had everything and having a great attitude. The food came out quickly and I ordered the Sunshine burger and it was fresh and pretty good (just needed a little more salt) and the fries were very good. The strawberry shortcake float I subbed with Rootbeer and it was just too much for one person so I packed my ice cream to go. Unfortunately they didn't have a kid size. That ice cream was REALLY good and the shirt ready cookie in it was delicious. 3 meals and 3 floats cost $92...yikes, but we enjoyed our meal and the lovely atmosphere.

Yelp
First, I can only comment on the floats as that is all I got, but they were amazing! We walked in with my kids and were greeted by a very nice bartender. We expressed we wanted floats and she walked us through everything. We decided to split two floats and OMG. 1st thing, they are huge (4 scoops of ice cream) so want to likely share. But the ice cream with the delicious Fitz soda were to die for. Highly recommend! My kids even asked to go back the next day to try other flavors.

Yelp
We stopped by Fitz's and had a great experience! They make their own root beer along with several other house-made soda flavors like cream soda, strawberry, and orange--definitely worth trying. For food, we ordered the turkey sandwich, Bottler's Burger, and the French dip. Everything tasted really good and came out fresh. Our waitress was excellent--very attentive, helpful with suggestions, and made sure our drinks were always full. The restaurant has a fun, old-time feel that adds to the overall vibe. We really enjoyed the food, the service, and of course, the root beer. Great spot to visit!
google avatar

Soncerae M.

Yelp
We love Fitzs! It's a STAPLE for when you want great food with big portions, a sweet treat or visiting St Louis. Our waitress was awesome and accommodating to my almost three year old son. I LOVE the turkey wrap and there's a ton of options for kids (even picky eaters). At this location they also have a bottling plant inside which is cool to watch!
google avatar

Brittney R.

Yelp
Old fashioned soda shop, where they bottle their own soda. They have an antique bottling machine in the rear, with glass windows to watch. They have so many options and flavors, besides the classics. There is also a wide food menu. Building is two floors and used to be an old bank. There is merchandise for purchase at the entrance, and outdoor patio seating. Our waiter was friendly and patient with our large group.
google avatar

Maggie H.

Yelp
Another good experience. This time I told them I would be dining in and I was given a glass mug rather than a to-go mug. Communication is key. This time I ordered a Superman float... or is it called Man of Steel? Whatever it is called, I think it was strawberry ice cream, blue raspberry soda, whipped cream, and a red fruit rollup. It's been years since I had a fruit roll up. I recommend this float. Minus one star because it took longer than expected not only to order, but to have the order taken. The employees were occupied working, but I also felt like I was not seen for a few minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
The ice cream floats are what makes the spot shine! We came here for a birthday celebration and it was a good spot for the day! The food is good, but like I said, the floats are what keep us coming back. I have been coming to this spot with my family regularly for over ten years and I don't anticipate it stopping anytime soon. A nice casual spot to sit, chat, and enjoy the loop.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to the south county location many times, but this was my first time at Delmar. We stopped in for floats, our server was very kind (absolutely a 5 star server- I truly wish I could remember her name.. she had blonde hair and I feel it started with a J or G). The restaurant itself though was very sticky - the floors, the table, the menu, it just didn't feel super clean. The gooey looey was FANTASTIC. My favorite float that I've ever had.
google avatar

Margie L.

Yelp
A bottling co.for me a great place for family to come in,dine and watch how soda are capped. The hardworking staff are friendly, greeted as when we walked in,not everyday we walked into an assembly of different flavored soda and watched how they go to a machine and how fast it get capped is amazing.Very thankful to the gentleman at the assembly line gave as a sample of free freshly capped soda.It was really good and refreshing.Of course we have to try the rootbeer float.Four scoops of delish ice cream on a cold best tasting rootbeer is a mind blowing fizzy pop.
google avatar

Molly N.

Yelp
My family of 7 loved this super cool spot as we were in St. Louis for a few days. It's a real crowd pleaser!
google avatar

Haley S.

Yelp
Fitz's is always a really great place to take your family especially with young kids. They have an expansive menu, lots of seating, the food comes out quick, and let's be honest...everyone is really there for those insta-worthy floats. They have a million flavors of those as well. The food is pretty average but I do like their burgers and the portions are huge. They upcharge you $3 to split the shakes but it's honestly soooo worth it. Your kids don't argue and they don't have to share toppings!
google avatar

Will C.

Yelp
We enjoyed Fitz's. Everyone was happy with their food, the atmosphere was pleasant, and my wife and daughter shared a giant peach float. Solid spot and we'd go back.
google avatar

Jonathan G.

Yelp
I stop at Fitz's every time I go to STL. The root beer is great. They also have pretty good food. Was pleasantly surprised to learn that you could build your own case of drinks. I purchased a variety of drinks to bring home to the family. Check it out if you are in the area.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
I think this place is nostalgic for a lot of people and it's cool to say "St.Louis's very own Fitz's soda." But not being from here I can only rate it on what it is. And what it is, is depressing. The place is pretty run down and the food is not very good. The soda floats are the only redeeming aspect so stop and get one of those but avoid basically everything else.
google avatar

James G H.

Yelp
Great food and service every time we've dined there. Be sure to have one of the ice cream floats.

Yelp
When you come here, floats are a must! I actually don't remember the one my husband had but it was very chocolatey and he loved it. I ordered the 'Swifties Afterglow' which was a Shirley Temple topped with vanilla and strawberry ice creams, whipped cream, and berry drizzle, served with a commemorative limited-edition bottle. It was HUGE! Both of us did not finish our floats but they were very good and some of the best I've had. I also do not remember what my husband ordered other than it was a burger that he enjoyed. I ordered the 'Grand Coney' which was a charred quarter-pound all beef hot dog served open-faced on a toasted hoagie roll then smothered with house made chili, Colby Jack cheese and red onions served with breaded onion rings. I normally do not like Chili in general, but it was actually quite good. It was a good size meal, didn't finish all the onion rings but good meal overall. The service was prompt, friendly, and informative. The restaurant reminded me a lot of 'Fountain on Locust' which I reviewed the other day. Very old-school soda fountain place. I love that. I would definitely check this place out again, but 100% try the floats. They are worth it!
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
The ambiance gave nostalgic. I walked in and it was huge. The place is 2 story so i ate on the second floor. The workers were great! They were attentive and kept checking up on me. My food was delicious and filling. I got the chili dog.

Yelp
more like a 2.25 out of 5. my boyfriend and i tried the new dirty sodas. we tried campfire daze and at the beach and they were both super good. however, we came at 3 on a wednesday our food was brought out super fast, but it was mediocre. the fries were cold and the chicken was just okay. for it coming out immediately i was a little disappointed. our service also wasn't the best. we were not check on at all. our dirty sodas came after we were about half done with our meal.
google avatar

Erica D.

Yelp
I haven't been to Fitness in years because I typically don't go around that area too often. However I was in the area and wanted some appetizers so I decided to check it out. It wasn't crazy busy when we got there however it did start picking up and the waitress that was working dead and amazing job at shuffling through all the tables by herself. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with the option of upstairs and downstairs. We only got apps and grabbed a couple of sodas, which I had the strawberry sodas always ago and it is bottomless so that was great. The toasted rags were very tasty and the dip was nice and fresh! Highly recommend both‼

Yelp
From Chicago, first time at Fritz's with my college aged daughter. Here are some thoughts: --My first time drinking Fitz soda, and I thought it was good! I ordered the root beer, nice and sweet, the way I like it. Big plus--it came in a frosty mug : ) --Lots of seating, it was a Sunday afternoon and the NFL games were on tv, service is good too. --I ordered the pulled pork nachos appetizer for my meal. They have a fun spin on nachos with baked beans, made it sweeter. Fitz's barbecue sauce is also sweet. Not a ton of pulled pork, but the chunks were tender and tasty. --We ordered butter cake for dessert, reminded me of cheesecake taste, with graham cracker crumb crust. Nice touch! --I walked by a few tables and saw that they all ordered burgers, which looked really good. Overall, highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
We went early on a Sunday, got there about 10. Sad the bottling stuff wasn't running but didn't expect it on a Sunday. My son really wanted to see it. The foods came out quick. Son had 2 big mugs of root beer. I love that the server brings you a fresh mug each time. Overall good experience.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I were visiting St. Louis and we had dinner at Fitz's Delmar last night. We had a marvelous meal! Special thanks to Ashley S, who took AMAZING care of us in the upstairs bar area! She gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, and we chatted about how we were enjoying our first time in the area. She was very friendly and took time to guide us through the menu, and gladly took our requests for modifications to our meals. She checked back during our meal to make sure we were happy with our food and drink, and cheerfully answered the periodic questions we had. She kept my friends' "bottomless mugs" of root beer and cream soda filled, and gave me good recommendations for draft beer. All our drinks were yummy; I especially liked the Shock Top Belgian white ale. Served with an orange slice, it was light and citrusy. Very refreshing! I had the street tacos (with fish) and they were extremely tasty; Ashley offered a side of pineapple in lieu of the usual sides, and that was a perfect pairing with the tacos. My friend who had the patty melt (with coleslaw side) said the meat was delicious on a sesame seed bun (rather than the Texas toast), and the coleslaw was quite good. My friend who had the fish and chips up-sided to sweet potato fries, which were HEAVENLY! We all got to share them, which was a bonus. :-) Our meals were delivered quite quickly, and everything was hot and fresh. The ambience of the restaurant has an airy, welcoming and fun vibe. The downstairs front area is open to two levels, and from the upper bar area we were able to look out over it. The downstairs bar still has the old draft beer tap. Our dinner at Fitz's was a PERFECT first meal in St. Louis, and we really appreciate the hospitality! It will be one of the favorite memories of our trip. Thanks so much!

Yelp
Get there early if you don't want to wait. Great place to grab some good food and delicious ice cream and root beer concoctions. The blended root beer and ice cream shake was creamy and flavorful. The chili cheese burger with Fritos had a great chili bean, cheese and sour cream topping. Fries were nice and crispy and the lent fish special was great as well. Quick friendly service. Ambiance is a bit of dated retro mixed with nostalgia. It comes off a bit hokey, but hey if it ain't broke don't fix it.
google avatar

Cleo G.

Yelp
Solid American fare. Our server, Angel, was the friendliest EVER, even though we were super annoying and came 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. That brings this place up from a 3 to a 4 star. Someone at our table spilled their beer (which by the way was a wonderful IPA), and it was quickly cleaned and replaced, just like that. Tried toasted ravs here for the first time and it was crispy, warm, beefy, and delicious. The marinara it came with was standard and good. I also tried the fajita quesadilla, which was okay. It wasn't super flavorful, but it was very cheesy, had a good amount of chicken, and a pretty decent portion size for just being an app. I would love to come back just to try the floats though, they look SO good.

Yelp
Food was amazing MASSIVE portions Service was nice and chatty Ambiance was nicely quiet on the 2nd floor

Yelp
Sometimes, I dive in so quick, I forget to take a picture! The Mexican Mule was good, but a tad sweet for my taste. I ordered the Chili Frito Burger which is listed under the Burger heading, but I don't see how one would eat it as a burger... I took the top bun off and ate it with a fork and knife. It was also good, though not necessarily great. The service was okay, though she missed one of the items that somebody else ordered. It's definitely a diner vibe and looks like they used to have someone at the front to assign tables and hand out menus, but it wasn't happening the night we stopped in. Get your own menus and seat yourself. Overall, not the best, but not bad either.

Michele M.

Yelp
When Fitzs opened, it was good, but now the food and service are awful. Go there for the floats only. We went and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. Our food came out in about 2 minutes, how do you cook Chicken that fast? You don't it was dry, tiny , and chewy. The pulled pork had no flavor, and the service was terrible. Our server never asked how our food was and never checked on us. I was waiting at the counter to ask for drink refills and the 3 people there never even thought to ask if I needed anything. I probably will skip this once must visit while I'm in town location in the future.

Yelp
REDEMPTION! We were doing dinner for my sister and even though I've avoided this place for YEARS because of our first couple experiences, it's great for kiddos and my nephews like it so this is where we ended up. Austin was our server and he was PHENOMENAL. Truly. He was so attentive, kept all our cups full, got all our orders right. He checked on us multiple times. Food was super quick to come out and all super fresh. My sister/dad said that the burgers were awesome. The toasted raviolis were fantastic. The spinach and artichoke dip was unique and SO flavorful, my nephew LOVED the cheese pizza, and the BBQ sauce on the BBQ plate tasted just like root beer. There wasn't anything bad on the table. Their draft sodas are phenomenal. Such a great experience, and so glad we gave it another try!!
google avatar

Bethany P.

Yelp
I split the kid's pizza with my niece and it was actually really good. My husband and niece split the Eurostar float. The portions at Fitz's are huge. So much food comes with each meal. I never eat it all and always have leftovers. The chili Mac was really good. The pineapple was good, but not our favorite Fitz's soda we've tried. The chili was good as usual. I like both Fitz's locations but this one is fun if you can go. The vibe is cool and it seems really vintage and cool. We had great service at our visit and didn't have to wait for a table.
google avatar

Mindy D.

Yelp
We stopped by after visiting the Mo History Museum. We enjoyed the onion straws & soda floats. Our server, Austin, was the best. He was so kind & helpful, answering all our questions & making helpful suggestions. We enjoyed our floats immensely. It was too much to eat & we made a mess with spillage, but again -Austin to our rescue! The floors were sticky which was the reason for 4 vs 5 stars.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
So much fun! Great food, service was excellent. We especially enjoyed the "bottomless" mugs of soda. I wish there were a few more options, but still a great selection. Don't forget to get some bottles to take home. I only wish we had room for dessert.

Brandt D.

Yelp
First time here. It did not disappoint. Our server Jade was very knowledgeable and got out order exactly right. The food was very good. Burgers and the St. Louis Slider mwah! They are known for their root beer and butter cake. And well should be. The Gooey Looey float is worth the trip. Great for families. Casual vibe and great food.

Yelp
Fitz is a local burger root beer & ice cream store with two locations. It's very popular for their outrageously large floats. This is my second visit after a two year absence. My lunch visit was at their Delmar Loop location off the WashU Campus. I was seated quickly once I entered. My friendly waitress had menus and got a drink order. The dining room was full on my weekday encounter. Everything appeared clean. My order was a single cheeseburger & fries. I asked for a recommendation on a few floats. I settled in on a S'more's cherry soda float. I decided on an app last second and got the pretzel bites. My float and pretzel bites hit within 5 minutes or so. Wow, it was both stunning and intimidating. You cannot let this monster melt. So I was all over it in a bit of a frenzy. The pretzel bites were so good! My burger and fries hit within 10 minutes, or so which was excellent! However, I felt compelled to stay on top of the float to get it under control. The burger was just ok, was lukewarm by the time I could get to it. Fries were ok. I felt the food was mediocre. I would likely return. 3.5 rounding up.
google avatar

Shawn P.

Yelp
Did not expect everything to be so good. So big plus. Their diet root beer is delicious! The space is very big and open which is very cool. I like seeing the bottling too, super fun. This place is very solid.
google avatar

Eddie B.

Yelp
I've eaten here many times and have always been more that satisfied with our experience. The burgers are great as well as the plate dinners. The service is always friendly and helpful. The dinning area has a cool industrial feel, is two stories and has a view of the bottling plant. My favorite part is the Fitz root beer on tap served in a frozen mug. Would recommend a visit. Only complaint is that depending on the crowds there can be a wait to get in.
google avatar

Sandy A.

Yelp
It's definitely a spot for tourists. The root beer and sodas are great, but the food is subpar.

Yelp
Fitz's for me has become a Saint Louis staple. I have been coming here since I first came to Saint Louis and it is a place that I have consistently been able to come to without getting tired of it. The food is good overall good, with the BBQ pulled pork sandwich being a go-to BBQ option for me in Saint Louis. I have tried other things on the menu buffalo chicken wrap with less success, but overall the menu is well built and provides a variety of options without being overwhelming. The highlight of Fitz's for me though it the wide assortment of floats that are always a hit. I have tried a large amount of the float menu and all of them have been a hit for me, however I am rarely about to finish a full one by myself. Pro tip, you can say that you are splitting a float and they will divide into two cubs for you for the same price. The ambiance of Fitz's is cute without being overly elaborate. For me the highlight is always to look at the brightly colored soda bottles and see if I can guess the flavors. The service is ok, however it can tend to be slow. If you are going plan on being there for a little while. Overall, Fitz's is a fun dinner and dessert place that is worth a visit!

Yelp
Review Visit: December 30th, 2012 A restaurant AND soda bottling plant. A little info on Fitz's. They are a restaurant. They also bottle and sell soda in the Missouri-Illinois region (it may expand further, but this is based on my knowledge). You can experience both at the same time if you visit Fitz's. Fitz's is located on Delmar and it seems to be a pretty popular area. On the way my friends and I went, parking was tight since the area was alive with activity. Once inside, the place is impressive. It offered seating upstairs and on the main floor. They had some arcade machines here and there, but not too many since it was a tight fit on the inside. If you go to the back wall of the main floor, you can actually watch them bottle the root beer. There are a few photos below in the gallery that showcases this. It was sweet to get a glimpse inside the bottling process. As for the food, it was alright. Nothing special, but not terrible. It's been a few years since I've been there, so I am sure their menu has changed up a bit. The cool thing was that when they gave us our bill, we got a free unopened soda with it, free of charge. So while the prices were a bit high and the food was not quite stellar, it should be on anyone's St. Louis list for the uniqueness of it. Plus the soda is actually really good! I grabbed a variety pack when I left.

Yelp
Ok let's start out by saying the place was packed as it was a holiday. The bad - table was dirty, floors were filthy, kitchen was nasty , workers in the kitchen bar area were just messing around not lifting a finger. It was loud and the drinks were lukewarm. The good - server was nice and helpful, food was decent, large portions, quick service. Overall this seems like a mediocre tourist trap with a bunch of selfish tourists. If you need something bland to please the pallet of a few kids/ old people then this is your place.
google avatar

Breydan H.

Yelp
Very cute venue, i would like to go again, our server was phenomenal she was doing everything and more. food wasn't anything crazy or to die for but definitely yummy and delicious for a decent price.
google avatar

Jeremy C.

Yelp
Fun location with decent food. Got the st louis slinger and it was huge, enough for two people to share and was delicious, though got tiring to eat for one person after maybe half the plate. The gumbo was also good. Service was pretty slow for a weekday evening but there were a lot of large parties at the time so it was understandable. Fun spot to hangout and drink Fitz bottomless root beer and a great deck, but I don't think I'd go back unless more servers are hired.

Yelp
First time for us visitors... our friends who live nearby have been. Seemed like a lot of people waiting, but we got seated pretty quickly. Large place, so that's good. Sat upstairs on a fairly big table with only 5 of us so was hard to hear each other b/c it was packed and we had tables on 2 sides. 2 people shared a float. I'm not a root beer person, so I just had a beer. But tasted it and seemed good as floats go. I like that they can split it cuz that thing is huuuuuuge. We decided to do family style since we all wanted to try different things...and the menu is crazy overwhelming. - Slinger - It's like a chili moco (for those who know Hawaii) but with fries instead of rice. It was good but probably a one and done thing. - Chili Mac - Mac was a little overcooked for me, but it didn't bother anyone else. - Queso - Yum. I loved it. I would get it as a meal. - Fried Pickles w/ Fried Jalapenos - I think I liked the jalapenos better than the pickles...but pickles good. - Big Betty Salad - basically a deconstructed burger without the bun. Burger is a little heavy and dry for my taste. Rather it be less cooked. Friend also got a side of gumbo. She said good. Overall the food was okay...a little diner-ish. I think by that point in our trip I was a little tired of that type of food. Definitely get a lot for what you pay. We had leftovers and had some for dinner and then still had a lot more left for our friends when we left. Kicker...bathrooms are tiny and a little smelly. There was a busser who went in, used the bathroom and walked right out past a bunch of us who were waiting to wash hands. All of us strangers looked at each other a little horrified. I'm just glad we were done eating or else I wouldn't have been able to eat.

Yelp
My son picks this every year for his birthday dinner. This year we gave the Delmar location a try. Eddie, our server, was phenomenal. He was attentive and personable. He earned the biggest tip I've ever given. The food is good and portions are big. But the real draw is the root beer. They have views of their bottling plant and outside you can see the stars of St. Louis' walk of fame. It can be a bit loud but nothing excessive.

Yelp
Fun, fanciful decor and totally filling. Great Philly cheese steaks but give this poor upstairs server a dumb waiter cuz them stairs are rough for the staff! All great. An STL staple and worthy of all the accolades.

Yelp
Surprisingly good! We went because it was my son's 8th birthday and he loves root beer floats. I had the wonder wings they were spicy but really good and the ranch was delicious. My husband had the fish and chips- also surprisingly good. We ordered the kids chicken strips and the cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was the only thing they didn't like.

Yelp
This is a fun place for adults or kids. Terrific sandwiches and, of course, Fitz's in-house made root beer and other flavors. The upper level fits larger groups and families while the lower level gives a view of the bottling plant (behind glass) when it's operating. Both levels have bars with counter seating. Our group had a variety of sandwiches, burgers, and pizza--even gumbo-- and everyone was satisfied. Plenty of free public parking available in rear lots.

Yelp
Sugar paradise! If you come with the mindset of fun ice cream floats that also has some food, you will not be disappointed. As a newbie this was recommended for dinner by many moms. Kids will love it. You can split the massive float for a small fee. I'm more of a foodie and not big into sweets so personally not for me but happy my family enjoyed it. Everything is sweet. Honey mustard tastes weird. Bbq sauce is good and sweet style. Service was good and fast. About $120.00 for four people.

Yelp
Service was excellent and attentive, the float was massive and delicious, but the food leaves something to be desired. Fitz is definitely about the drinks and the environment and not about the food. We had standard chicken tenders and fries and some mediocre fried fish and bad coleslaw without the benefit of a cheap price tag.

Yelp
Grabbed dinner at Fitz's in Delmar Loop this afternoon with friends. I worked a partial shift this morning and ate before joining the group, so I opted for toasted ravs (didn't grab pic ‍) and the Trouble Float. Chocolate chip cookie dough is my favorite choice of ice cream, add in the peanut butter cups and the iconic root beer -- there's no going wrong with this choice. Other options at the table ranged from Turkey club, French dip, and many burgers. Grabbed pictures of the bourbon burger (had an egg added) and the Loop Double. You will definitely not leave hungry. Our server was great. It was a great way to enjoy the afternoon. It's neat when they bottle the sodas and you can watch the process. Plenty of seating room and room for groups. Check them out either on Delmar or in South County.
