I had the choice of staying home with a sick toddler or doing last-minute Christmas shopping at Micheal's and here. I chose this path, so I can't complain. But it was nuts. Do not wait till the last minute to shop, and do not come to Easton, even wrong-side-of-the-tracks Easton, if you do. The parking lot was crazy, though I did find spaces without much wait (I bet the main part of Easton was worse.) I almost got run into several times, but I drive an older car so I didn't care much. And though Micheal's was only a bit busy, Five Below was packed. No carts, no baskets out front (I waited a minute and got one.) Everyone was crunched in here, but generally in good spirits and polite.
There's a lot here, in a fairly small space. Toys, books, games, clothes, candy, tech supplies, etc. Something for all ages of kids, and even adults. I got what we needed, plus a spare in case one of my toy ideas was rejected. (Come on, they all need noisemakers, right?) Prices are, of course, reasonable. I felt bad for the checkout clerks but they seemed to be getting by. They need tip jars.
I actually had a little fun, and found what I needed. I'll keep this in mind for calmer times. I survived, but will not come on Christmas Eve eve ever again.
