Five Central Houston

This place was a sweet treat to conclude my celebratory moment. The food was wonderful. Whomever is in the back frying the chicken has a special place in my heart. The libations were on point and I was relieved the music was kept to a nice level. The restrooms were clean and the staff were welcoming and attentive. I would recommend!

Food was amazing. Service A1 Enjoyed myself. Quick stop before flight Yum. Rene was our server and she was quick and friendly!!!!

Great vibes, music, and food! I tried the fish sliders, crispy Asian shrimp, and cobb salad. They were all delicious! The Kettle One Expresso Martini was my favorite. They also have multiple areas inside, including a restaurant and a sexy cigar lounge for those who spoke. And four bar areas so you don't feel crowed out. I will definitely be coming back often.

Tiarra was great! The food was tasty! If we could get her each time, there’s no telling how often we would visit! Come through and ask for Tiara’s table. You won’t regret it!

Five Central was a good time! I came for Sunday brunch. The crowd was energetic and the hosts and bartenders were polite and on point. I’m from a city where they don’t fry chicken hard the first time, but Five Central did! The chicken and waffles were chef’s kiss. The music was late 90s early 2000s, so the vibe was caught. Have fun there!

Had the crispy Asian shrimp & fried chicken plate, sooo good. Went to the bar on the other side after for drinks & hookah, a go to spot that's always a good time.

I can only give a 3-star rating. It was okay, a lot of different things going on. It's not a true vibe atmosphere that was varied. I thought it would be a good spot to frequent since it was "Fat Tuesday," I was wrong.

The restaurant was nice. The service was very good. I can't recall her name but her service was excellent. Food was delicious...I got the Brisket beef burger and fries. Delicious delicious Delicious is the only way to describe the experience.

1ST TIME VISITING and Bartender wasn't friendly...at all. Waitress was EXTREMELY FRIENDLY and apologized for his DEMEANOR. I enjoyed the Steak and Potatoes special- food was seasoned perfectly! And warmed peach cobbler was delicious; not too sweet-Perfect! Red Room (RnB) was awesome and the vibe was chill.

I've been here a few times and it's always a positive experience with my most recent one being the best. I last minute booked a reservation for Sunday brunch the day of, and it worked out perfectly in that it was filled up inside, but they were able to seat us. The vibe in five central is definitely a bit of an older crowd for the most part, but lit at the same time. It has a lively atmosphere and there was even a live DJ for brunch. I ordered waffles with cheese eggs and bacon and I will say I felt like the food could've been better. That's why I wouldn't give this place five stars because I ordered cheese eggs and they got my order wrong and when I asked them to fix it as in make another order of cheese eggs they quickly fried an egg and just put a slice of pepper jack cheese on top which just felt very rushed and wasn't that tasty. I've just never had eggs with pepper jack cheese before. Lol and it just wasn't the best tasting scrambled eggs I've ever had at all.. The waffle was pretty good but nothing to write home about so overall my food was OK/good but I definitely feel like the vibe in there is really nice and I like that. It was pretty busy and the service was good but not great. Our server was nice but she could've been a little bit more attentive. They also have a lounge literally right next-door like not even next-door it's attached so you can just walk right across and so we went there for drinks afterwards and there was some music playing there and people were dancing so it was a nice little Sunday fun day vibe and I enjoyed myself. I will definitely return.

I went for a birthday party and didn't know what to expect. I ordered the fried chicken with greens and lobster Mac and cheese. It was sooo good!!! Our server was attentive to our every need. There was also a live band but unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to stay and listen.

Had dinner and drinks with friends after a day of celebrating and hanging out. I chose "With Love" as my cocktail and it did not disappoint. For dinner I ordered the Fannie Mae's fried chicken and it was everything! I had Mac 'n cheese on the side and collard greens on the side. The food was amazing but the greens were overly spicy and I just could not enjoy them. I sent them back and swapped it for sautéed spinach and it was great! We couldn't stop at dinner so we each ordered dessert. The peach cobbler was good. It could've been a bit warmer but it was very good. Our waitress was very nice and provided good service. About an hour into dinner I got up to go to the bathroom. The bathroom is in between the adjoining club/bar next door. The bathroom did not match the ambience of the restaurant, in aesthetic or cleanliness. Matter of fact it was disgusting. If I didn't have to go so bad and didn't have a 40+ minute drive home I would've just held it. Toilet paper on the floor. The toilets and sinks were unclean. A broken stall and doors that didn't close properly. It was disgusting. Had I never seen the bathroom I would've given the restaurant 5 stars but the disgusting bathroom killed it.

Event was great. Food was delish. (Gumbo and greens) And both the DJ and I enjoyed the crowd, DJ and live music.

This whole place and it's entirety is a vibe!!! There are so many different rooms--a restaurant, a bar, a lounge, cigar lounge and other rooms. This place is amazing; I could spend all day here. The food was okay and the mimosas were okay. Although the food wasn't the best, I would eat here again and try something else. There was a DJ in the bar area who played all the jams. I only went to the restaurant, bar, and cigar lounge. All 3 rooms were top notch. The concept of this place is outstanding and innovative. There's valet parking and street parking, but the street parking may be difficult to come by. I highly recommend this place.

My daughter, grandson and I I visited on 1/5 for brunch. There was hair on my food. My daughter and I shared the food. Instead of the entire order being taken back, only the plate was taken back with my food on it. I was told the meal would be discounted. When the receipt was brought out, there was no discount, when brought to the waitress attention, she took the receipts back, she came back and said a discount could not be done on seperate tickets, I asked for the food to be put on one ticket ((My daughter and I asked for the bill to be split) The waitress came back with 2 receipts and there was only a discount on my ticket. This was one meal that my daughter and I were sharing, why was only my ticket discounted? This is not good customer service.

Nice place but this review is for the valet. I valet parked because the parking sucks & they damaged my car. I didn't notice it until the next day. It wasn't too bad but it was very noticeable. Anyone with integrity would have informed me, but nothing. I decided to not pursue this matter because it would be my word against theres. Going forward if you valet park take pics before & check your vehicle when they return it to you.

I gave an extra star for the venue, but still the food here just isn't for me. I got their oxtail special & it was just ok. The side's definitely didn't help at all. I'm more of a bold, full of flavor kind of person. Outside of the food, I do enjoy going to their bars. Love the different rooms & vibes.

Had a great experience at Five Central, thanks to our waiter Jailon. He was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu well. Highly recommend asking for Jailon if you're there!

The lobster Mac and cheese was good to the last drop. Drinks are on point and live band was great. Service was excellent and very enjoyable

This place is always a great vibe! Food and service is always good. Valet is impeccable Ameer (valet manager) is amazing always handles my vehicle with care and efficiency! Definitely recommend

We went last friday and had a time! We are the cigar lounge and Yasmine took care of us. Food was amazing. Had Roasted Curry chicken, Yasmine recommended it and it was a HIT! the ambiance was classy and DJ was very fun

This wasn't my first time here and not my last. It's definitely a vibe. I enjoyed the entire night. Valet parking is $20 I feel like it could have been less. I don't even know where they park your car. I got there and the lot was empty but when I came out my car had been moved so the more expensive cars can be in the lot. I didn't like that at all. The appetizer was delicious and very flavorful. My salmon had a scorched taste. My guest lamb was tough. Our food did not come out together. The drinks was good. We went to the lounge side and it was a great chill spot. The DJ was good! Then live music started which was really good. It got super packed by the time we was leaving. I didn't realize how packed it had gotten. Overall the ambiance was everything.

Ahhhhhhh, my friends and I stopped here after an evening out. This place and the lounge/restaurant next door were packed and super fun! Music was a mix of older NOLA and trap :) It was great! It was pretty packed, upstairs, on a Friday around 10P. I would absolutely visit again!

Fantastic food, music, and people. Not just one spot, it's five places interlaced so staying for a bit is crazy easy. Top notch meals, tasty drink, dance or relax- what more could you ask for?

Got there at Sunday 11am for opening brunch, made a reservation no wait for our party of 8. Mimosa towers, 90-2000s r and b in the background. Great service from the waitress. Food came in under 30 mins for the party. 2 hr time limit sign on the table but nobody rushed us at all, waiters took photos and friendly, two plates asked to be reheated and they re cooked the entree which made it even better. Patio, two bars, outside area for photos, valet parking. Free bottle for the birthday girl. Get here before 1 pm if you don't want to wait!

Omggggg I'm a connoisseur of cigar lounges and this is the best one I've been too in town. Black excellence on FULL display. 2 stories, 6 bars, different music at each bar, 1 cigar lounge, hookah bar, 5-star food. Just Amazing!!! And my bartender Alyssa knows how to make a drink to have you going back to the bar over and over again. She's gorgeous and friendly!! It didn't get 5- stars because the ventilation could be better. Once they get that right, it's 5-stars!!!!

What a great concept! Pick your poison... Hookah Bar indoor and outdoor, Cigar Bar, Wine Bar, Bistro and Great DJs in every spot there's even an outdoor courtyard. Well, secured with Houston Finest the Police. Owned by a Que Skeewee. Definitely had a great time mingling from bar to bar. The gumbo at the bistro was delicious as well our service

This place is amazing. The food, the music, and the ambiance were phenomenal! The cigar lounge alone was such a vibe. The employees were friendly and so great at taking care of each guest. I would go again and again! This is such a great spot!! Incredible execution on an awesome idea!!!

Coolest place on town to hangout on week days... Salsa nights are awesome with live bands and great crowd...patrons are very chatty and welcoming vive

Food is overpriced for the quality and quantity. You're better off going to a fancy restaurant for those prices.

Food was 5 stars. Service was a 2 at best. Waitress was nice but not attentive. It took damn near 30 minutes to get a check. The place was only 25% full. And no metal utensils. They ran out. Try eating steak with plastic. The bar tender in the Bistro talked 10 minutes while sitting with two patrons. The only other people at the bar.

There are a few different concepts you can go to at this one location which is rare so they have something to fit most vibes. Went to the bar area and had great service from the bartender. Great place to take a group or date night.

An awesome evening was definitely had here. There are at least 4 bars, a cigar room, a restaurant (upper kirby bistro and multiple rooms with a different atmosphere. The vibe is dope. If you are in Houston is a must!

Portions were hefty and savory. Servers were friendly and professional. Ambiance was business casual. I went to bistro on a Wednesday, and noticed that most customers were 45 to 55 years old, discussing business. Although I'm a decade younger, it was a great vibe, and it is black-owned! Drinks were strong. I could only drink 2.

I went to Central Five last week for an event an organization I am connected with was having there. The space was very nice and a trendy chic vibe. Definitely nice for having get togethers. They are connected to Upper Kirby Bistro. Central Five serves food from Upper Kirby Bistro which are right next to each other and owned by the same people. Both areas have a bar. At night it gets pretty live and they have a dj and live music in the Upper Kirby Bistro section. The bartender made me a special drink. I told him what flavors and alcohol and he made me a drink from that. They have a lot of choices on the menu and their happy hour menu has a lot of variety. I ended up getting the Shrimp Creole Pasta to go. It had jumbo shrimp, cajun andouille sausage bacon, roasted baby heirloom tomatoes, and creole cream. I recommend. I found it quite tasty. I will say for those who like really spicy, it has mild spice but you can request they make it spicier. I will definitely be going back. Parking - street parking, $10 valet, there is also a parking garage about one block away.

Nice venue with 5 different places in one. Had brunch today as part of a large party group. Reservation is for 2 hours. Nice scenery and fresh food. Tried stuffed blueberry waffle. It reminds me of funnel cakes. Great thick cut bacon. Didn't like having one ticket and needing to pay the host. Think business should be set up to split checks no matter what. Otherwise, a neat place for unique and different. Also too high to pay $20 for valet. Fortunately found street parking for a full size truck.

I feel in love with this place. This week was my first time there on Tuesday, then I went Wednesday and on Friday with my sister lol. Happy Hour is all day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The food was amazing. I am pescatarian and they had plenty options for me. The waitress I had was really sweet all 3 days and checked on me. The hostess was amazing and really made me want to come back continuously. The vibe was nice. I sat outside and was beautiful

If you ever want an amazing drink you have to visit Diamond at the Upper Kirby Bistro! Oh year did I tell you the food is even better!

So many different levels to this place. I had the opportunity to visit here on the weekend. I will say parking is a little hectic if you get there early there is partying on the street. They do offer valet park for $20. When you walk up the have a nice little area to take a pic like you are coming off the red carpet. There is outside seating if you just want to enjoy the breeze with the hookah man there for your pleasure. The section that I enter was the cigar bar, when you walk in you go upstairs nice bar lounger area the another section that can reserved section. They also have a more private room with curtain that you can close off, real nice! Good music playing, drink were nice! The food was good the wings and the Brussels sprouts thumbs ups. As for the mask, some people had the on and others didn't

BLACK OWNED BUSINESS & I'm really glad this bar is still able to operate during COVID. Went with a good friend who comes here often for business meetings in their cigar lounge. We went on a Thursday and it was so chill. The place is huge so you have plenty of space and don't have to worry about people being on top of you. Ladies, if you like Moscato. Try theirs! I'm pretty sure I drank a whole bottle. Their food was okay. The crab appetizer was tasty. And the fried chicken was soo good! The fried chicken was my favorite! However, the greens and mashed potatoes that came with it was disappointing. All in all, the vibe is so cool and the music is great. It's definitely a spot for grown folks!

Love this place. It is the largest restaurant in the state of Texas operating in 17,000 sqft. Yes they own the entire business. It is black owned and operated and a beautiful estsblishment. Essentially there are 5 places in one but after touring the space it's more like 8 or 9 different places in one. On the first floor there is a front room with seating and this their coffee shop/ cafe area. You can stop in the morning and have pastries and coffee. From there you enter into the restaurant area where it's dine in and a full service bar. There are 2 very spacious patios with seating. In the rear part of the first floor there's a 3 different bars, a large bar with seating, a smaller bar used for specialty drink and a wine bar. On the second floor is another bar and cigar lounge. There are also smaller suites for those that want to have privacy. This place is perfect for brunch or hosting a party. There is a parking lot so you don't have to park on the street however street parking is available. The drinks and the food were great. They ran out of chicken and salmon so the chef switched my salmon out with fried trout in a yellow curry sauce it was amazing. The staff and chefs were very accommodating to my mothers food allergy. And everyone was wearing their PPE and cleaning the establishment thoroughly after each patron, It was a great lunch with my family and I'm happy I chose this place and I will be back.

Husband said his crab cakes were the best he's ever had - "the crawfish tales are so fresh!" Everything was delicious- this my third time dining at the Upper Kirby Bistro, and the food and service has been consistently excellent. The vibe is perfect! Sunday Funday!

The Bartender Alyssa in downing is well experience! Her energy is amazing! I'll be back to see you!!
