Five Fingers Authentic South Indian Restaurant

Great place to eat, the staff were very friendly, they played authentic Indian music and the restaurant was warm on a cold evening. They had a good selection on of Indian beers but my wife wasn’t so keen on the red wine she had The curry was real tasty, and the saffron rice was perfectly cooked too. The only thing that wasn’t so great, and this wouldn’t stop me visiting again, was the naan bread which wasn’t what I have experienced at many other Indian restaurants, a little flat and lacked that softness you normally get. The toilets were clean but could do with upgrading. Overall a very enjoyable visit. 👍🏻

We came on a Sunday night and it was quite busy. There was a TV on the wall showing videos of how meals are prepared in India and it was really interesting and a nice touch. The food was great- poppadums and butter chicken was a highlight for me. The cheese dosa was a bit too greasy for us but we still finished it and it enjoyed it with the freshness of the sauces. It is a vegetarian forward restaurant so if you’re expecting an abundance of meat dishes I would recommend somewhere else. However there are some choices and we enjoyed these!

Authentic, well priced and delicious food. Felt as though I was back in my hometown eating food that always kept me happy and fulfilled. Very friendly staff as well! Highly recommend.

Went here for dinner as we were staying overnight in dalston. The flavor of the food is on point especially for the south indian dosas and the paneer. The staff is very friendly and were able to accommodate us during the busy hours pretty quickly. It's walking distance from the tube and definitely recommend this place if you are in the area for some Indian food

Beautiful food. Not much else to say, really. Cannot recommend for the food alone and very reasonably priced. The chicken Dosa was a delight. Thank you!

We were a group of friends from Germany and had an amazing dinner here. For anyone interested, the food can be very spicy, at least for us, being used to the German toned-down version of Indian cuisine. But the service was absolutely exceptional. If in doubt about the spiciness or contents of a dish, they are more than willing to help you. They did everything in their power to make us feel comfortable and at ease! We really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine. We spent an absolutely amazing time here with great well-priced food.

Wonderful service, taste of the food is amazing. I had chicken chukka and Malabar parotta, the food arrived fast. Friendly staffs, highly recommend, one of the best Indian cuisine in UK I have ever had. Cheers ✨

I just ordered delivery and it was an excellent experience. I have coeliac disease so I called the restaurant to ensure that my choices were gluten free. The employee confirmed and even offered to look out for my order to ensure it was totally gluten free. When I submitted my order, the employee called back to let me know that an extra item to my order may contain gluten. I am so grateful for the care and time that was put in to accommodate my dietary needs. The food was also delicious and large portions! I recommend Five Fingers to everyone and especially those who are gluten free.
