My first experience and maybe my last. My daughter wanted me to have a guilty-pleasure meal for my birthday. We went to the Five Guys in The Walk location in Coral Springs. Didn't want to get all dolled up and go to a restaurant, I opted for a burger, fries and a shake. Now, I realize businesses are starting to wake up from Covid restrictions, but really? I ordered my meal online, and it was supposed to be ready by 7:52 pm...I arrived at 7:55 pm, not ready until 8:15 pm. Meanwhile other online customers (4 people) came in and picked up their orders and left. No one flinched or even cared my daughter and I were still standing there. Then we decided to buy 2 milkshakes ($11.50 something cents)...we waited until 8:35 pm! The worker just walked away from me and my order like we didn't exist. Her excuse was she didn't have the 'stuff' available to make the shakes....she should have told us that from the beginning instead of ignoring us and waiting on other customers coming in to order food....I'm sorry, but there is no excuse for horrible customer service. I was TIGHT! To save from losing ALL of my ish I asked another worker how long does it take to make a couple of milkshakes, I thought maybe they had to ground the coffee beans and pick the strawberries, you know, maybe they get fancy with it. No. Just basic milkshakes.
Very disappointing. So many people out there WANT to work. All I wanted was to be treated like a paying customer, pick up food in the promised time, and not ignored. And I held back everything I wanted to say, only to belt out as I was leaving, "This is bad, I ordered online, I waited. I asked and paid for milkshakes and was ignored. Poor customer service". The one guy said he was wondering why I was still there. Meanwhile other customers there knew I was livid, refraining from throwing words. Embarrassing!
To add the burgers and fries were as cold as the milkshakes by the time I got home. I tossed it in the garbage. I feel so 'taken'.
