I’ve visited this Five Guys location before with no issues—food was decent and service was fine. However, my visit today (5/3/25) was a completely different experience. I observed what I believe to be unsanitary practices: the employee was using the same gloves to handle multiple tasks—touching equipment, the fryer, and then directly handling my burger buns. At one point, he even took the buns off the grill to show another employee (a Spanish-speaking woman) how to toast them properly, then put them back on with the same gloves and continued using those gloves for other tasks.
As someone with a high-risk pregnancy, this concerned me deeply. On top of that, after I raised concerns, the staff began speaking in Spanish about me, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I asked for a refund and left. To add, my grilled onions weren’t even grilled.
It’s disappointing to experience tension and unprofessional behavior in an environment that should be welcoming to all. I won’t be returning to this location.
Update: I look on my bank account 5/5/25 and I see that the owner reversed my refund after I never received the food and got a refund, so why did you reserve it…I watch my account constantly so you will be dealt with at a proper hour.
