Burgers are a staple to me so if you got a good burger my family and I are there As usual five guys was great good burger and fries were a bit salty but all in all food was good and place was not too busy so we got our food right away

Bacon cheese burger is good. You need to choose your preferred toppings.

I know this is not Five Guys specialty of making veggie sandwich but I am not able to eat meat so I thought I would try the pricey veggie sandwich which came with mushroom, onions and lettuce because they ran of tomato. The taste was bland and I would never recommend it to anyone. Great people just horrible dish. Jesus Christ Loves You!!!

This location has no milkshakes unfortunately. I’m not sure when the prices went up but it is ridiculous that a large fries cost $9, but to be fair they are very generous with the amount.

Staff are friendly and I definitely appreciated their professionalism. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with lettuce and tomato. Very small amount of lettuce and only 1 slices of tomato on the burger. The quality of meat is not good. Definitely way below average quality. The meat is chewy and it’s not because of the way it was cooked. Fries was soggy and super salty…and to top it off, it costed me over $27 for a bacon cheeseburger, a regular fries and a regular fountain soda. To recap, I think it’s extremely over priced for the quality of the food. Nothing against this particular location though!

My son really wanted to try this place. He got a cheeseburger, small fry, and a small lemonade, and it came out to over $23. That's really asking a lot when the burger was okay and the fries super duper salty. I spit out the fry because it was saturated in sodium; I couldn't stomach it. I had the tail end of the burger that my son couldn't finish, and it was all right but way too expensive. The burger itself was almost $13. Long story short, I will not be returning. My son thought it was all right, nothing to scream about. The workers were nice.

Zero!!!! Ordered from Uber Eats. Dog food but I don't have a dog... burgers so cold not edible, fries so so salty and soggy, street crow food... right to the food trash right back to Habit ...again next time. ,

My hamburger was terrible. The cook with the glasses and mustache did not call out my Order Number loud enough and my lunch just sat there for 10 minutes. By the time I had my lunch the hamburger bun was soaked and soggy and was terrible. A person sitting closer to 5 Guys booth also could not hear his Order Number as that is how I found out that my lunch was in fact ready. More Hands On Management required !!!!

I've been to at least a dozen Five Guys locations and with the exception of this location at Newport Center I have always had a good meal. I tried this location 3 times and every time the Fries over-salted to the point that they are inedible. Even after I told the Manager about the Fries he showed no concern about what is going on at the Fries station. The employee at the Fries station kept piling on the Salt as I watch him make batch after batch of Fries. At almost $6.00 for a Little size Fries they should at least be edible.

Good burger, but WAY, WAY, WAY too much salt on the fries? Like, WTF? Pluses: Cheeseburger itself about as good as In-n-Out - IMH(f)O. But, with bacon also an option! Minuses: WTF with the salt on the fries?!? More expensive than In-n-Out. But, this is also no doubt an expensive location to lease. So, no surprise there. Also, it's a counter-serve setup, so what exactly am I typing for? To not spit on my burger? I tipped anyway generosly (over 20%) because I assume all food workers are under paid.

GO TO IN N OUT BURGER!!!! Don't pay $15 for a nasty a** cheeseburger this place offer!!! I didn't eat here cuz that no way I would pay that much for a mediocre burger.

I bought a grilled cheese sandwich that was overpriced at $8. The sandwich was super small about the size for kids appetite. Very disappointed and felt cheated. I understand inflation but this was ridiculous. First and last time.

A little confusing to why there's a debate about Five Guys - it's a burger on a soft bun with lots of nothings: no special sauce, no special gimmick, no thanks. And for what it is, it's rather expensive for a regular ole fast food burger. I ordered the Little Cheeseburger ($9.19): it comes with a patty and as many toppings as you'd like - I added lettuce, pickles, grilled onions, and maybe tomatoes. To be honest, it was very lackluster. Everything was very soft; the bun was soft, the patty was soft - just real soft all around. Might I add that the lettuce qual was no bueno. It looked like backyard BBQ burger lettuce - loosely torn with no direction. Kinda expensive lettuce for what it is. Fries were good, however, Five Guys definitely gives no one a run for their money.

Unbelievably expensive and by no means justified by the taste or quality. I cannot stress this enough. You won't get what you pay for; if you want a burger of equivalent quality, you can get one at any fast food place for half the price they charge here. If you want a burger that's several orders of magnitude better, both in taste and quality, my recommendation is Eureka at UTC. Slightly more expensive, but unlike Mid Guys, well worth the price.

Great burgers, fries are always filled to the top. Fast and efficient. Plenty of room to dine in at the food court.

The times I've came here the food has always been great. The burgers are always really good and so are the Cajun fries. The staff has always been friendly when I go.

Forced into this due to cravings from a 3 year old. I have had this stuff around 3 times, not once did it- Excite Make me not say "In and Out was way better than this" Make me feel financially sounder Say "You know, I think I like a Burger that is shaped like a baseball and soggy" Maybe I can help the franchise by saying "wrap your burgers in waxed paper and leave them to breathe". LIKE EVERY NORMAL BURGER JOINT, DITCH THE COSTCO FOIL SQUARES. If this ever happens and you guys come out from the doldrums, I expect my fair share!

Quick good quality fast food burger right in Fashion Island. Helpful and friendly staff too. Very accessible and close to home for a quick burger fix craving! I only wish they have milk shakes. The reason for 4 stars , doesn't serve shakes.

Always good, everytime. Freshest burger around and I love my burgers... it is a little more expensive than in n out but more bang for your buck in portion sizes. I like how you can load up on the toppings. They have the best mayo. Perfect for fry dipping!

I love five guys burgers but especially their fries. Something about the soft texture and the seasoning always hits tight. Today I put in an order at 5:40pm for two bacon cheese burgers and a regular Cajun fry and I ended up getting no fries at all in the bag. I almost cried. Luckily Uber refunded me but now there's a void in my soul. Also someone put mushrooms in my burger that I didn't ask for. I'd only order in person from this place if you want your order right.

Of course In-N-Out is delicious and I wouldn't want to live in a state without one. That said, let's not compare apples and oranges. Five Guys delivers a solid, grilled/charred burger with literally any toppings you want. They are unique by wrapping their burgers in foil, they don't skimp on size or toppings, there is no special sauce and those Cajun seasoned fries?! (Wish there was an option to pay for extra seasoning!) It's just down right delicious! Let's talk cost. Yes, it costs more than the average burger joint. That said, you get what you pay for. I adore that "other" place but no one else can deliver the unique quality and taste that is Five Guys! Have only used delivery and it always arrives accurate.

In n Out has nothing to worry about. Expensive and slow. Forgot my water. Ketchup dispenser empty. Mot real good.

First off, this rating is much more for this specific five guys location. I think we all know at this point it's a bit overpriced and what not. The staff who prepare your food and ring you up obviously cannot control that. I arrived 5 minutes before close not knowing and felt bad, decided not to order and told them it's ok. They insisted many times that there's no worries at all, and really hooked it up for me, even offering me a free drink. Emily and Emmanuel (I hope I'm spelling his name right) went above and beyond my expectations. Such nice, well mannered, young adults! Thank you again for making my night :)

We ordered the cajun fries as we wanted to try them. It was very flavorful and very salty. Good first try experience! We asked for ranch and they said they couldn't give that out?????? That is THE FIRST. Friendly workers!

Walked over here during my lunch break and came back super satisfied! The burger was delicious and they gave me a generous amount of fries with just enough ketchup which is nice. Service was friendly too!

the fuckers put no fucking cheese on a fucking CHEESE burger and then i asked for cheese and they gave me a cold crumbled slice and then i went to take a bike and the whole thing fucking fell apart

Food is always pretty good! But the last several times I went there they have been out of bacon and hot dog buns! It has happened 4 times now within the last 2 months. This place is obviously not managed well. Hopefully they get their act together or I will stop going.

Never disappoints. We go often and I love that in addition to an excellent burger, the fries and shakes are awesome. Plus they have diet dr pepper (with multiple flavor choices).

This was my 1st time here at this location and the staff was absolutely amazing. I asked for a small fry and the young lady's recommendation was spot on! Cajun style for the win!!! I wish I knew her name so I can shout her out but if you are reading this I just want to say thank you so much! I truly needed your act of kindness. It made my day after the kind of day I had.

My first tasting of 5 Guys was in Orlando, Florida, years ago. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. When a local 5 Guys opened in our local city, I enjoyed it as well ... not my first choice as I prefer In-n-Out. Recently, I went into Fashion Island with memories of a BIG food court 30 or so years ago ... It's smaller now. This location, I'll never go back to. I should have canceled my order after watching the cashier stick his blue gloved hands into my drink cup before filling it ... the same gloves that took my cash. The food was overpriced and lackluster and I had a lump in my stomach for several days ... not worth the price or the time.

Ordered the same thing as always, grilled cheese adding a bunch of stuff and add a patty for $2. The guy at the register didn't understand adding a patty. Asked his manager who came out and declared they can only do it on the side. This is completely different from the many, many times I have ordered this in the past. No problem so I just went online and repeated my usual online order. The manager went out of her way (came out and delayed 7 minutes) to make sure we DIDN'T get the sandwich the way we wanted it. They seriously need to google "patty melt 5 guys" or something instead a manager being on her high horse and refusing to make the sandwich to the customers specifications. Complained to 5 guys corporate, will update my post when they update me with their resolution.

I've been to Five Guys before. I actually do enjoy their food; especially the fries with the cajan seasoning. This review is based of my experience with service the other night. Walked up to the counter at 7:01 PM. The woman said "we're closed" in a loud and annoyed voice. 1 minute past closing time. My girlfriend and I honestly just wanted normal fries. We didn't even want a burger. There were tons of fries left over in the warmer that were probably just going to be thrown away anyway. I said "what about for just fries?" She looked at me over her shoulder gave me a smug look, ignored me and walked away. Horrible service. I would have spent 7 dollars on fries and given your business money, but instead you get no money and waste product. Great service! Will never be back here again.

So, here we are on a Friday night at Five Guys, with two people working behind the counter. Isn't this amazing? Two people working in a busy mall at one time. One person taking orders and one young lady cooking and prepping. I felt bad for these two as there was no help in site. The fries are always my favorite here with the cajun spice. Eat em nice and hot, as this is when they are at their best. They get mushy when they cool. Eat em quick and share an order. They definitely need to have at least three people working at one time in this busy mall. I hope these guys get more help soon.

I always enjoy their food, yes there prices might be higher but its worth it, better quality is worth the higher price. Getting their lunch today.

We ordered delivery from FG in rancho mirage and it was delicious-- one order of fries was a whole bag brimmed to the top, so I decided to get the "regular" size since just 2 of us were splitting it, and for $6.39, probably enough to share right? No. $6.39 for a tiny cup of fries, no overflow into the bag, wtf?? This place is known for that! Also got my burger toppings wrong (it happens) but it was so wet and soggy on the outside, like REALLY wet, what is going on? And pretty sure they applied the mustard with a firehouse. $35 for 2 burgers and a split order of fries from a food court? could have had lunch at a hillstone restaurant. damnit.

I sent my 15 year old son to go grab lunch yesterday. I gave him cash to buy a burger and fries, and unfortunately he was short 9 CENTS. The lady refused to sell him the food which cost $15.09. Really you are going to lose a $15 sale over 9 cents. Really disappointing!!

The employees are awesome at this location. Polite, hardworking, really awesome work ethic. The food went way up but maintains the great taste & quality. A little greasy. Great fries! Sauces are not original. Free refills.

I have eaten a lot of burgers in my life include 5 guys at other locations, the cheeseburger I had yesterday at the fashion island location has to be worst ever. I was so tempted to go back to the counter and asking for my money back. At $12 it did not even worth the paper it was wrapped in. Upon open the foil wrapper, I noticed the buns were super wet, so wet that upon trying to pick up the burger the buns fell completely apart. Liquid was dripping off the burger like monsoon. It was disgusting. I was hungry so I ate it by first using a napkin to soak up all the liquid, rewrapping it back and biting off the top. For the rest of the afternoon, I was gassy and had occasional stomach pain. Never again at any 5 guys.

52 dollars for two burgers, regular salty fries and two small drinks. There are better choices out there.

Five Guys is a large chain American-Style fast food restaurant. This specific location is in the food court of the Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach. The good thing about this place is that everything is pretty much customizable. You get unlimited toppings for all the same price for your burger. I typically get the little cheeseburger, the burgers here are pretty big and filling especially if you add a lot of toppings. The Cajun fries are also really good. Downside is that they don't have any "combos" everything is charged separately making it a little more expensive. The food quality, and the customer service are good though. Overall, it's definitely a place to get a decent burger!

We love 5guys but we are also from the East coast. So sad the one at The District closed so this is one of the few left. Since we were here, the kids wanted 5 Guys. We love the toppings you can chose to put on it but the prices have definitely gone up. It's quite pricey for just 1 little hamburger, but what can you do. The fries are the bomb esp. cajun style!! We love those! You can get your burger protein style or in a bow which is nice too. Service was good. We try to support when we can. :) SYOY!

I've been here a couple times, both times was just OK. The burger is great, but I wouldn't say it stands out and is more on par with Smashburger. They are all double patty unless you order the lighter version, but it doesn't state that in your face where it's easy to see. It does explain why it's a little pricey. Service was just OK as well. We asked for bacon extra crispy and was told the bacon is just bacon all done one way. Yet I could see the bacon on the grill and all we were asking for was one to fry a little longer. When our order was ready, we watched it sit there for a minute, then a guy grabbed it, and continued to talk to his co-workers. After a bit, he finally yelled our number.

Slow and expensive. $34 for two cheeseburger, two drinks and one small fry. No ranch. Burnt fries. No extra fries. No peanuts. 4 guys working and can't seem to do more than one order at a time. Not worth the price, wait or hassle. Guy preparing bags is unbelievably slow. Going to tk burger next time

Walking through the Food Court early today and smelled the bacon at Five Guys, when I noticed the girl prepping food for the day had her hair down. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want food from there with the chance of hair being in it! Anybody in the food industry should know better than to prep food like this. Soggy burgers and fries. Disgusting!! Every time I order from this place. Used to be a lot better when they first arrived in CA.

This place is located in the food court in Fashion Island. A member of our party requested me to conduct a transaction here so I did it for them. They tried to upsell me on more food after ordering since I didn't get much based on what others wanted me to get, but the transaction was conducted properly. The food court is a Pokémon GO gym so that's an advantage.

I've only ever ordered fries here, so I can't say anything about the other offerings. But the customer service at this location (despite it being in a busy mall food court) is consistently amazing -- the cashiers and workers are super friendly and don't look like they hate life. The portion of the fries is always generous since they pour in extra fries onto the bottom of the bag as well. The fries are hot (so wait a bit before digging right in), fresh, and flavorful (if you get them Cajun-style -- def recommend it).

For the first time discovered that the little burger comes with one patty and the regular has 2 , chose the lettuce wrap with 2 patties and it was very filling. Top notch customer service and the food is ready is no time!
