Absolutely disappointed with this place today. I was there with my partner, and right on the last bites of the burger, I found a piece of bacon inside. We did not order a bacon burger because of religious reasons. When my partner went over to the counter the lady there was annoyed and asked him what he wants her to do. He asked if refund for just that burger is possible, she initially agreed but by the time he returned with his phone a guy had joined the lady and they refused to give my partner a refund. The lady was repeatedly telling my partner "you say you found bacon in your burger, but where is the burger?" and the guy also told my partner that he went there an hour after we had ordered the burger. They pretty much tried to refuse fixing this. The guy did offer a drink on the house though. Firstly, to respond to the question of the lady, because the burgers are quite big, we split them in half and ate it separately, so the bacon happened to be in the second part of the burger and it fell out right on the last 2-3 bights of it. We didn't know that we have to completely deconstruct the burger at the beginning to make sure they didn't put bacon. Secondly, to answer to what the guy said, our order was done at 6:47pm, after we found the bacon we hesitated for a few minutes whether we should go and tell them about it. I did not take pictures of it until he returned from the counter after the refusal for a refund. Picture was taken at 7:36pm. Also we waited for the order for about 15 minutes, and by the time we got to the bacon part it was towards the end of the burger. So saying we didn't say anything for a whole hour is an actual joke. It could be somebody's religious beliefs, somebody could be vegetarian (the place literally serves Veggie sandwiches), somebody could not like the taste of bacon, somebody could even be allergic to bacon. This location serves halal beef, and there is nothing wrong with having pork for other clients but it becomes an issue when you serve a muslim person bacon and you don't take accountability for it. It's such a shame because we used to love going 5 Guys, but we wouldn't return anymore, not so much because of the piece of bacon inside, at the end of the day mistakes happen, but it is the way the situation was handled by the staff that is going to keep us away from going to this place again. Tried to make up all kinds of excuses. At least the guy apologised and had a more positive attitude, but situation was just very ugly especially when two employees are trying to confront a customer.
