Ordered a Family Size healthy vegan dinner. It smells amazing and tastes DELICIOUS. Quality food, generous portions and reasonable prices. I don't think I will be cooking again Service was great. Ordered was ready upon my arrival. Will be ordering again. If you got a sweet tooth- their desert "Lokamet El Kady" is a must. It's like sweet mini donuts drizzled with syrup.

Best Genuine Egyptian Vegan Falafel you can find, delicious Koshary as well, also tried the Eggs & crispy Bacon wrap, quality made.

Got a falafel wrap and there was barely anything in it. There was alot of wrap left i ate for paying close to $10 and was not filling. Wouldn't recommend it

The quality is amazing, the food is always fresh, and the staff are friendly and smiling.

Amazing, high-quality cuisine is served. We have placed multiple orders for food from this restaurant and are always pleased with both the cuisine and the service. The kids had hot wings and chicken tenders while I ordered pizza and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. All of the meals were delicious and excellent. This location has my highest recommendation.

If you like great food, this is better, its outstanding ! Full of flavor and full of love. Each and every bite is made from scratch. The people who work here are so nice and take care of you like as if you were family. Words cannot express how much I love going to this place ! I work down the street so I go there often almost three times a week !

Been here multiple times and they have several menu items that are very good. Our favorites mains are the Philly cheese steak and the falafel pita. The seasoned potato flats are also excellent. All around the bread is outstanding and really makes the sandwich, pita, etc top notch. And... reasonable prices don't hurt at all.

I ordered the spicy falafel sandwich (~$9), which comes in one giant pita bread and cut into two halves. The falafels were flavorful, full of spices, with a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. Inside were also peppers to add more heat, perfect for my moderate spice tolerance! The lettuce and tomatoes, while not the highest quality, added some freshness ,and the hummus spread added additional flavor and nuttiness to the whole sandwich. I would rate this sandwich a 4.5/5 due to the flavors and the fairly low price. I would love to come back and try the Italian side!

Alright you yelpaholics! I am finally unveiling my review for 5 loaves. Found this gem luckily on yelp looking up food near me and found this gem! I've tried quite a few items from the menu everything was really good or amazing! This restaurant offers catering for large parties as well as just a quick meal to satisfy your foodie cravings! The restaurant is easy to miss for its tucked away in between some daycare centers. The beautiful girl told me the food is Egyptian, Italian, Greek food. Kinda a combo of all three. To me what makes this place great is the love and passion in the food! You can literally taste it. I'll try and keep this short here we go! The Greek salad was fresh with Greek olives it gives you a nice salty pallet with fresh bell pepper and cherry tomatoes to go along with feta and creamy dressing so good! Even the grilled chicken on top had great flavor. Mamas calzone is to die for! So yummy with eggplant and no meat is surprisingly good and my favorite calzone from them. Falafel was one of the best I've ever had! Ask for the spicy one! Koushary first time ever having was so good and unique I'm getting that again. The rock sandwich wrap was yummy had this several times! So many more things I want to try from their menu. The chef informed me that their menu has seasonal items like moussaka, baklava, shawarma, and their eggplant dishes look so good! So catch em while you can. What makes great food? Good ingredients, good recipe, sure but in my opinion it also takes love and you can tell these guys love what they do. When I say catch em when you can because their have different hours than your typical restaurant, it's worth the wait worth every penny. Their prices on the menu are very reasonable, great outdoor patio for spring, summer and fall vibes, come enjoy a afternoon or evening here and eat some great food you feel good about eating because of the people that made it! And it's healthier side of the American diet these days. First time here! Came here at noon on a Friday and the place was a bit hard to find. It seems like it's behind a church and they only have a wooden signboard/chalkboard with stairs leading up to some outdoor seating and there weren't very many people. Despite this, the woman that helped me out was very welcoming and they were advertising a Thanksgiving promotion: for the whole month of November any meal comes with a complimentary drink-of-choice in observance of Thanksgiving! I got the Italiano Calzone (5/5), Large-Sized. It comes with two housemade marinara sauce and it is HUGE! It can be shared comfortably between 2-3 people. It's perfectly salty and there's cheese inside as well as outside the calzone and baked to perfection. I would definitely come back here and bring some friends along. The food is really something to talk about but wish more people knew about this hidden gem.

We visited 5 loaves for the first time today. It is a hidden gem in Irvine. Marian was sweet and welcoming. We wanted to sample it all so we shared the cheese pizza, mommas calzone, cheese steak sandwich, chicken sandwich, eggplant, and baba ghanoush. In my opinion the eggplant, cheese steak and chicken sandwich were a 5/5. This is NOT a fast food restaurant. Everything is made fresh and well worth the wait. The dining area is open air. Nice lighting, comfortable chairs, ADA compliant. Can't wait to try some more menu items.

2.9 Stars Interesting very small restaurant/ stand in an industrial park off the corner of Muirlands and Wrigley. 1. Extremely limited parking. Less than 8 spaces. 2. No indoor seating, but covered, picnic table type patio seating If there is nobody outside waiting for you, there is a wireless remote type doorbell attached to a clear plastic slate that you press to announce that you are there so somebody can take your order. This is why I called this a "restaurant/stand". It is more like a stand or take out location The pizza crust was almost soggy and was more like what you would expect out of thicker pita bread than pizza dough. It was not crisp or crunchy at all and slices easily bent and deformed even while picking up the first slice. Taste was so-so, but the sparse toppings were at least fresh. They apparently have WiFi for guests, but there is no posted WiFi password. Website menu prices are not the same as the ones on the current menu. Prices must have gone up. The individual sized, 8-inch pizza and a canned 12 ounce soft drink cost me about $14. It may be that their other entrees or sandwiches are better, but the pizza really disappointed me. I was expecting better. This pizza was not even up to the level of a bulk chain like Dominos, Little Caesars, Round Table, etc.

Food is always fresh & tasty. Quantity is generously shown! I recommend their ribeye steak sandwich, & their freshly made falafel.

This place has the best food! It's a little hidden gem in Irvine, that's right next door to a church. They have really good Middle Eastern food, along with some comfort foods such as burgers and pizza. All the ingredients are natural and delicious. I personally like to get their double angus burger with fries. It's better than In N Out. Marian, who is the managers, is always friendly and helpful. Try this place and you won't be disappointed.

I ordered the Mama's Calzone expecting it to be vegan based on the menu on their Yelp page (also attached). I had asked if it was vegan over the phone, but the connection was bad and it appears they didn't hear me. Turns out it's not vegan and the menu on their yelp page is not accurate, they add mozzarella to it. When I told the woman behind the counter that their yelp is misleading, she got a little defense and (imo a little rude), saying something to the effect of: our yelp is very high, so for you to tell us what to do... I showed her the picture of menu that showed the Mama's Calzone was vegan, she took a closer look and asked if it had mozzarella on the menu. Upon looking and seeing it did not, she said she would get it updated. The whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth and the entire thing was an unpleasant experience.

Delicious middle eastern food. Outside seating and nice ambiance. Best falafel! Best vegetarian and vegan offerings. Service is prompt and friendly! You should really try it.

Super hidden gem. And when I mean "hidden" I mean... I'm not sure if I recall even seeing a sign. They are located in the back of a building. And their prices are super reasonable! These days you can't say that. In fact I do not know if I have ever left a comment about a restaurant with reasonable prices! Food. Let me just tell you... I'm pretty sure they make it all from scratch. Very tasty. So good that after going here once, I returned with my entire staff. They loved it.

Fantastic lunch spot. Super easy to find, very affordable, amazing patio, and super friendly stuff. A great lunch spot--highly recommended.

Small little shop with very tasty food. Order and then eat outside on the patio. The service was great. They even gave a small dessert to try. I would recommend giving this place a try. It looks like a normal build but enter by the parking lot.

Food was great and the staff was very nice. It's in a business park so a great place if you work close by. All the seating is outdoor but well shaded and ample. Had the Philly cheesesteak. It's more of a torpedo size but very good. Also had a great dessert but couldn't tell what it was.

Very fresh delicious clean tasting food. Everything we have had is outstanding but I highly recommend their Alfredo pasta and the Philly cheese steak sandwich.

I really wanted to like it. It's an out of the way place, industrial, attached to a community center. Very nice staff. Unfortunately... the food was not exciting. We tried a couple of calzones and a couple of deserts. They just didn't work. I would not call them calzones by any stretch of the imagination. The "calzones" were a doughy bread with a little meat, a bunch of cheese and almost no sauce. The sauce had little flavor, as did the calzone itself. Not terrible, not great. The desert... heavy, oily, can't remember the name. Not exciting in any way. Anyway, I guess it would be an ok lunch place in a pinch, but so far, not impressed, based on what we tried. And it took over 30 minutes to get our food!!!

I ordered online at 11:45 and they gave me an eta of 20 minutes for ~12:05. I arrive at 12:10 to pickup my order. The lady tells me she saw my order come through and that it'll be 5 minutes or a few moments. 30 minutes pass by and no update on my order, I asked the lady what the real eta was and she says my calzones are being cut. It took another 5-10 minutes for the calzones to finish being cut from that conversation, but my french fry wrap was not ready. This is a wrap with just fries inside bread and sauce, and it had already been an hour since I placed the order and 40 minutes since the estimated time. Its one thing if the online ordering time was a bit incorrect, but for the lady to boldly lie in my face about the time is something else. Nothing was offered to show they were actually sorry about the situation.

Alright, so I'm driving looking for this place and I'm a little confused because it's located in a business park that doesn't look like it has a restaurant in it. Looks like a normal office building. Park in the small parking lot and then walk up the stairs towards the back of the building, you'll see a double door and a small counter you order from. They have plenty of seating with shade outside, there's some games you can play too in the back (I think I saw corn hole but didn't really stay too long to really take a look). The ladies working at the counter were super sweet and helpful. I ordered the Italian on a roll with all the fixings (lettuce, mayo, pickles, chopped red onion, banana peppers). Bread was so soft and fresh, sandwich was delicious. Almost like they warmed up the meat before putting it on the bread. 10/10 will be back! One thing I recommend- normally people like chips with their sandos, probably have a station got chips there as an added option for a "meal".

It's a hole in the wall place and I had to do a double take because there was no sign. There was a kind gentleman that was sitting in front that showed me in. I was warmly greeted and the menu was kindly explained. They are really just starting out so maybe they have things that they need to work out. I got the falafel sandwich as there were some people that recommended it. It was awesome. The bread was slightly toasted, and the star of the sandwich was definitely the falafel, which was crispy, herbaceous and flavorful. They probably can sell the falafel and do pretty well.

Just had lunch there with friends. Soooo good! They had falafel, shawerma, and lots of other authentic Egyptian flavors. The service was friendly, and all the food was delicious. This place is church owned and operated, and is located in a business office center with lots of outdoor seating, so just keep that in mind.

Dined here 5 times already, fast food nice sunny seating with umbrellas. Tried the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, it was just Perfect, tried pizzas and was very good, not think like the ones I love but still excellent at least for my children. Tried the eggs and crispy bacon sandwich and again fell in love. Their best sandwich is the falafel, if you are a Vegan food expert like me , you would easily figure out that the best falafel sandwich is the ones made by Egyptians made off beans (not hummus). I wish I could get a plate of fried Eggs with Bacon, but they don't serve that. Another perfect thing is the affordable prices

This place was seriously amazing. I was needing something new to try and I found Five Loaves online so I thought I'd check them out. I got two entrees, since they were so well priced! One was a cheeseless veggie pizza, and the other was the falafel sandwich. The pizza was great! It had these really cool thin sliced potatoes that had good flavor and added a great texture to the pizza. For a little over $5, amazing. The next thing I got was the falafel sandwich and... wow. This might just be my favorite falafel sandwich in all of Orange County. He recommended the pita and I'm so glad he did. It's so good! Check out the picture I took, it almost has a sourdough like quality to it, but it's still pita. As much as I love tzaziki, hummus and tahini are my favorite falafel toppings, and that's how they do it here. But great toppings are nothing without great falafel and those hit the mark as well! The falafel is amazing! All in all, I walked away with two great meals for about $12. Unheard of. I will absolutely be returning.

Nice little hole in the wall spot with friendly service and good food! The amount of food isn't too overwhelming and the price points are good as well. I was just going to get the chicken cheesesteak sandwich but got convince to try their potato flats. The potato flats are similar to potato wedges but thinner and I actually enjoyed the seasoning they put on it. I love me some potatoes and the flats were a perfect crunchy outside with a soft inside. Recommend this place for a satisfying lunch!

Very helpful and polite staff, I had the falafel sandwich and it was amazing. The falafel were cooked just right, which is something very hard to do. Overall, great experience.

Just got the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Amazing and highly recommended looking at the menu gonna try pizza Next they make their own pizza dough and sauce can't wait to try it we need to support our local businesses in this time of hardship !!!

Service was awesome. Food excellent. Probably the best Philly cheesesteak I have ever had. Light and airy, yet gooey with cheese. Will be back for sure. I would highly recommend you give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

Glad to see the five loaves reopens. We ordered 2 Phylli cheese sandwiches for pickup & they tasted great. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel safe specially during this hard time. Prices are very reasonable. This is not our first time trying their delicious food. We previously tried their falafel roll& their calzones. We highly recommend you try it for yourself.

I ordered 2 pizzas today, I paid $15.60 which to me was a great deal for 2 large pizzas It was one of the best I've had for a while They were nice at the order counter and you can feel the energy. I love the place. Big menu and lots of variety dishes and sandwiches. Five stars

Amazing food!! The calzones are so cheesy and their crispy potato flats are so much better than regular fries. I came here with coworkers and we were all blown away by the food! Their prices are very reasonable and everyone there is so nice. I highly recommend this place!

This place is a hidden gem! The only word I can think of to describe their food is home. Everything tastes as incredible as a home cooked meal. Their falafel, the fresh baked bread, the pizza, the sandwiches, the desserts and everything else they make is so so so good. And they have the sweetest people working for them. Like the best mom, all they want is to feed you good food and make you happy. Will definitely return again and again!

Full disclosure I work right across the street from this restaurant so we're neighbors but I'll try my best to give a non-biased review. It's owned by a church, hence the name, and they're really nice people. They have some great deals right now. I got the cheese pizza. Which is $4.99 for a 14" size. I would say the taste is just as good as Costco's cheese pizza. In terms of value, 5 Loaves is better than Costco at $0.032/square inch vs $0.047/square inch (when purchased in slice form Costco) and $0.039/square inch (when purchased in whole pizza form at Costco). I realize this analysis could be improved if effort was made to compare the individual weights of each main ingredient, but I finished it already.

Just found this gem today, great service, lots of outdoor seating. I had the philly cheese steak, it was delicious, as well as the wings. The prices are great, will be coming back tomorrow to try more. My coworkers will also be stopping by now.

Found this place on yelp and I'm glad I did! The service was great, food was great, and the people working there are very friendly. I ordered takeout for my family and we were all very impressed with the food. Will definitely be back!

Great food and wonderful staff. I tried their pizza and it was great. I also tried their veggie calzone and that was awesome too. I would highly recommend their food. Great menu selection. They also have special vegan options. Just tried their falafel sandwich in pita bread. It is amazing and very authentic.

We loved the Italian calzone and the Philly cheesesteak! Both were very satisfying and filling. The fries were average, we will probably try a different side instead next time. They made it super easy to pull up and give us our food without us even having to get out. Will definitely be coming back!

I Have tried their pizza, calzones and falafel sandwiches. Great quality food with fresh ingredients. I would definitely recommend that place for lunch and even quick dinner. The setting is outdoor, which is great for enjoying a meal outdoor.

The quality of food is really excellent.. the variety is really good.. love their flat crispy fries, best honey mustard sauce ever.. best pizza I have ever tasted.. and I can't get enough from their philly cheese steak sandwich and the Alfredo pasta is awesome.. love their food! You have to try it if you're in the area.
