This place just does it right! So much space, indoors and outside! Food was just spot on. The waiters were so friendly. Everything was delicious and fun. Great place for burger and beer, but the menu has a great all around selection. One tip, the Korean cauliflower was absolutely incredible! Yummy, unexpectedly tasty and delicious, must try that appetizer. Enjoy

We came here because we live in the neighborhood and the New Orleans style decor and balconies always attracted us. Food: The food was average and in my opinion overpriced. The portions are large though so that's a bonus. The dinner entrees tasted normal, nothing that would stand out or make us come back. However, the chocolate lava cake was delicious and well made. I would go back for the lava cake. Service: Everyone there was very friendly and attentive. We sat outside on the balconies and we were the only ones there but our waitress consistently came out and checked in on us. Ambiance: Very cute decor. They have a very nice outside patio that you can tell they have spent time decorating. Inside it's also cute but has more of a local bar vibe than a New Orleans restaurant. Their french balconies are the biggest attraction especially because we can eat outside on them. It's always fun to people watch. Overall, I think this would be a fun place to come for bar snacks, appetizers and drinks. It seems like they also have a really good happy hour that I would most likely go back to try. This place really shocked me! If you come around 6pm on a weekend downstairs is very much lively and sometimes even packed. The food was great I ordered a burger and fries…I couldn’t even finish the burger because it was huge but it tasted great. The fries were cooked well also. We also tried the Spicy wings i would say 8/10. We sat upstairs and got to watch the Basketball game which was nice, they also have a little balcony that you can sit outside and enjoy yourself though you can’t really bring drinks out there. Overall I enjoyed myself and I had a great server but I’m sad that I forgot his name but he was also a bartender…hope that rings a bell :)

The food was much better two years ago when I first visited this place. The side house salad is horrid. Just mixed salad from a package and horrible old made dressing. The chicken wings were like refried couple of times and tasted like they were from the day before. The oysters weren’t daily fresh. Overall the food is totally mediocre. Very disappointed.

Came here for bottomless brunch and wasn’t blown away but it was good. I got the chicken and waffle sandwich, the waffle was super sweet and the chicken wasn’t like a homemade breaded chicken breast, it honestly looked like a frozen piece of breaded chicken. The fries were fine. My friends got the burrito and the breakfast tacos and said they were good. The Bloody Mary, Bellini and mimosa seemed like cheap alcohol but they were both fine

Great bar and restaurant! The fish and chips was well done and a very very generous portion (could be shared by 2 people). Great atmosphere.

I like their blue point oysters, they are small, but with a very good taste and are $1.50 each (minimum is 10 oysters), available all day. Their "Five Mile Burger" ($18) was served well done when I asked for it to be medium. As a result, it was just okay. It came with French fries or a salad.

I've been here several times. The hostess Leslie is always warm, welcoming and accommodating! I also want to shout out Rebecca for going above and beyond as a bartender. The staff here does an amazing job with their customer service skills. The food is always good! I had the fried chicken sandwich and I was very happy. My friend had the wings and fries and they were happy! Another friend had the crabcake and they were pleased! The vibe is what I want when I go to a bar, sports playing and happy people! I will be back!

Honestly just the run of the mill type of bar food and drinks. Nothing aggregious and nothing spectacular. Our salads were what you would get at a Applebees salad bar you built yourself and the burger was defintely a frozen patty that you could taste and wasn't seasoned very well. The vibe is defintely more of a louder area in the sense of not a place I would come just to sit down and have a meal, defintely more of a drink type of place with loud music. Come check this place out they have an awesome outdoor area!

Came here just after the 4pm football games began. They have two levels and the upper level had a large projector to watch one of the games. Thankfully it was the game I was hoping to see. My girlfriend called ahead to make sure there was seating available and at the time there were plenty of tables open. Service was quick as it was not very busy. We also called ahead to see if they offered a sugar rimmed pumpkin beer as many bars in the area offer that. When we called they said they did but when we arrived the server said they don't have that. Not the end of the world but we were disappointed for sure. We ordered the Buffalo wings which were very good. They were large wings, crispy, and the sauce tasted homemade. It was very tasty and not super hot. If you like very spicy wings these are not for you. I would definitely return and try their burger as many people around us ordered the burger. If you check in on Yelp you get a free shot of maple whiskey.

Food/Drinks: 3/5 I came here when I was doing a Daniel's fast so I essentially was eating vegan and wasn't sure of the options they would have. The menu had a bit of everything but not many vegan friendly options. I got a salad and was pleasantly surprised! The lettuce was crisp and the mix of fresh veggies and sweet fruit made for a yummy mix. Service: 2/5 Upon waking in, I found it a bit odd that no one greeted us. There was a hostess booth but no one there so we just kinda awkwardly sat ourselves lol. Eventually a server came to greet us and give us menus. I will say I was super extra and asked for a few customizations on my salad. They were all there not a single one missed so I appreciate the attention to detail. Vibe: 5/5 The exterior of this spot caught my eye after walking past a few times! It remind me so much of a typical building you'd see on Bourbon Street in NOLA! We were on the first floor so we didn't see the second. But the decorations are beautiful! I'd definitely come back and check out this spot when I can eat everything on the menu and see their outdoor seating.

Five Mile Stone is the classic comfort food Irish restaurant. It's nothing special but it's always a good place to turn to when you want good food and a good environment. This place is always lively and has great indoor and outdoor seating. I have come here many times and one thing to get is their French fries or sweet potato fries. Very well seasoned and crispy. They also have a good amount of dipping sauces. My favorite is their chipotle aioli. This time around I got their burger. Jack Daniel's Burger: 8/10 The bun was nice and fluffy. I would have preferred it to have been a little more toasted but look at that shine! The burger was nice and thick. It was a little more cooked than I requested (medium-rare) but still pretty juicy. The bacon was a little too crispy, but I had a lot on my burger, so that's a plus. I like the Jack Daniel's sauce but also added ketchup and chipotle aioli for extra flavors. This is a good place to get a drink or appetizer and sometimes dinner. Service: 7.5 Average. Nothing special but no bad notes. They are very nice though!

I have been to this place a few times with coworkers at an old and new job. The place is average with good variety of drinks and American dishes. Went there this past Friday for a work holiday event, we have finger fooods and drank sangria all night. The vibe is nice with beautiful decorations. The restaurant attended to us pretty well and can't complain. It's personally not my go to spot for me in the area but decent overall.

Make sure to check in to get your free whiskey shot! Great spot for Sunday football! They have a huge projector on the second floor and lots of tables on both levels. We stopped in one evening for the 4pm football games. We ordered the wings; good portion and they were nice and crispy! Prices were decent for the portion size. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and checked in on us just the right amount (since we were there a while). I will definitely be back!

Substitute the Mango juice in the "Mango Mezcal" from the cocktail menu, and you get a much more delicious drink *wink* Only had two of those with the aforementioned substitute and a bowl of fries, which came with chipotle mayo AND ketchup, which was a nice touch.

This place is super fun. I haven't friend and food I liked here yet. Don't get the steak sandwich. It's like steakum, not real steak.

Bring cash! They charge extra for every menu item if you use your credit card. So if you order 5 things each will have an additional credit card charge. Sad...sad...sad...

Big pub/ bar / restaurant on 2 levels with outdoor space. 5 of us went for an early dinner. We were aiming for a few casual burgers. We sat outside in nice weather. The good stuff: when we sat down had lots of attention, water, service etc. burgers and food was decent and everyone had what they ordered. Burgers were tasty and looked good. We also had salad and chipotle wrap. The bad stuff: waiter took time discussing whether we wanted burgers rare, medium, well etc- they all came out exactly the same which was basically fairly well done. At the end of the meal we wanted to head out and the service which was initially over attentive was no where to be seen. We could not get the check and then when it came took ages to come back. Frustrating.

Visited for oysters and a couple of drinks, ended up ordering more food (friend chicken and Mac & cheese) the chicken was delicious, the Mac and Cheese was on the creamier side and I personally prefer it to have more cheese and less milk/flour in the sauce. Drinks were strong and well served, I had a cocktail from their menu made with pear infused vodka and it was good, service was excellent, our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We sat at a high top in their second level, not the most comfy table but ok for a quick snack, atmosphere was ok, the restrooms were nice and clean, music selection was one more Tiktok playlist devoid of personality, definitely room to improve. I find music to be a key feature of any restaurant/bar experience, but is often neglected in most places and they ended up playing just any sound to fill the void. In general terms is a decent place to grab a drink maybe even watch a game? But maybe not my cup of tea. However I would recommend visiting for drinks after work or maybe with friends but not for a date.

AMAZING brunch. the chicken and waffle sandwich was so delish. my friends got the buttermilk chicken blt, french toast, and chicken and waffles and everyone loved their food. our waitress was so nice! loved her. and the restaurant itself is cute and cozy. 10/10 i cant wait to go back!

This is one of my favorite places in the upper east side! The staff are friendly and the food/drinks are good! It's such a cute place and I'm hoping it's back soon!

Just back from a night out with friends. My workmates have come to this establishment many a time. The service was not great-although they did try. There were more tables than servers but that's ok. A friend of ours came straight from work. We waited and there were no servers to take her drink order. My friend (who happens to be very kind and polite- to everyone -no matter what) went to the bar to ask for a glass of wine. The bartenter actually admonished her for not ordering from the table. He was a condescending, pompous @ss. In my friend's words: "He said 'Are you at a table?' I said yes and pointed to our table and then he said something along the lines of 'Well, you could've ordered from your server.' And then he verbatim said 'That's usually how restaurants work.' Very condescendingly." He made her feel small and ashamed. That's a terrible way to do business. A group of women went in to call him out on it. The bartender's response: You weren't here for the conversation. And he dismissed us. Well, we women got loud and called him out for what he was--- a complete @$$hole. The manager came over and took a good chunk off the bill- which we asked him not to do. We don't want charity- we want justice. He insisted. He never excused the bartender and maybe he didn't care. He did say sorry but he wasn't the cause of the problem. I guess he just wanted to shut us up. We loved our food/drink and the waitstaff. It was a nice gesture of compensation--- but will it really solve the problem? We doubt it. As we said, if our friend were a man, the male bartender wouldn't have tried it! Thank you for reading.

Arrived a bit early for my reservation and was surprised that the bar was empty. So I had tons of options of where to sit. The gentlemen who assisted was nice and prompt for the drink & food order. Tried the sangria and the eggs benedict. Sangria was very tangy....I prefer sweeter sangrias, but once the food came it evened out the sangria. The food could have been warmer upon arriving and the flavor was good. The potatoes were the best part. The restaurant did start to fill the closer to my departure time, guess I just arrived too early to get the full brunch vibe.

I came for an event night and also wanted to sample their food. The event was a blast, with the hosts being very welcoming and friendly. As for the food from the bar, it was decent. I gave the tofu stir fry a try and LOVED how well they caramelized the tofu, but the noodles and vegetables felt too bland.

Always walked past it but never had the chance to sit down and try this spot out. Decor, from the outside, is very NOLA-esque. Food wasn't bad - ordered a greek salad + their signature burger. The burger was solid and the salad was just okay (the feta cheese was deep-fried, which was very different from what I expected. Enjoyed a $7 Marg (Cinco de Mayo special!) and Corona.

I must start by saying that the Five Mile Stone has been ouR go to date spot for some time now, always felt at home until today. We went for our usual date and encounter a young lady at the door who we thought was the hostess... We requested to sit in the second floor on their balcony. She rushed upstairs in front us to sit us down dropped our menus on the table and tried to rush back down but we already had in mind where we wanted to sit which was available cause we saw it from downstairs. So after I requested the table she just very dismissively said is not available and walked off. She did not try to accommodate us at all and was very dismissive. On the way out I saw her be very friendly with a couple that was sitting at a table, this made me feel uncomfortable because first thought was why was she so rude to us. I approached her and asked to speak to a manager and very combative she said "I am the manager" I was taken back by her expression toward my request for a manager. Can't blame the establishment for the poor unprofessional conduct of one individual, I guess bad timing for us. We will return in hopes that we don't encounter customer service such as hers. -LE CHAUFFEUR

It is too bad that the attitude and service were so poor, because the burger I had was pretty good. The bartender was extremely inattentive and when I mentioned I had been waving for some time, she copped an attitude. Then when the bill came I noticed I had been charged $1 more for each (full priced, non happy hour) of 2 beers. Maybe an honest input error, or perhaps, given the aforementioned attitude, they think customers won't notice and they don't care. Won't go back.

Came here for a first date with a guy who ended up becoming more significant in my life. I met him on a Saturday afternoon when it wasn't chilly in NYC and had a sandwich and fries that were pretty good. It's not pretentious despite the neighborhood it's located in and while it was a little noisy it wasn't completely impossible to hear yourself or your party members. If asked again, I'd probably go though I'm not much of a drinker or hanging out at the bar type.

I've dined here a few times after my shopping trips. Each visit has been pleasant. I'm a big fan of their brunch items - everything is delicious. Staff is attentive and polite. Their menu has plenty to offer to satisfy just about anyone. Decent beer and cocktail selection. Definitely worth the visit when in NY - highly recommended!

Great place to stop for lunch ! I had a wrap that was very good and my partner had the mac n cheese with bacon. Generous portions (we had plenty to take home) nice waiter, large outdoor seating area but inside is nice too ! large bar n beer selection inside plus upper outdoor seating which i think is only open certain times but a quaint balcony with a nice view of the ave . love this place

We eat here at least once sometimes twice during our NY visits. The staff is very friendly! Especially the bar staff upstairs and the food!! Chicken pot pie... shepherds pie .

Casual bar/restaurant that has an awesome upstairs patio where you can look over the street from. People primarily come here to get drinks, but I was impressed by their solid bar food as well. I tried the nachos, caesar salad, and mac & cheese. Nothing was phenomenal, but it was all very solid. Although all the food was good, the food menu was very small. The service was also very slow 8

Drooling over this smoked salmon benedict! There was no wait to be seated, the service was fast and all of our food was great. The exterior is really interesting -- surprised it took us this long to stop in. The interior isn't anything special but still would recommend this place to anyone in the area. I think in the summer it would be fun to sit out on the balcony.

I like their happy hour deals although I wish they had cocktails on special instead of just well drinks and beer and wine. The food was upscale bar food for the happy hour and the oysters were attractive although not very tasty. It's a very casual vibe and it has a nice interior but it always feels a little dirty to me and the waitstaff often disappears after the order comes. It took a while for someone to come around for the second drink order considering it was not busy at all.

Came here to celebrate cinco de Mayo, ordered nachos and empanadas with margaritas too! Staff is super friendly and food was delicious, appreciated the chips in the nachos weren't soggy they were still crisp! Drinks were strong but good, will definitely be back again!

A meh bar with abysmal service. When I say abysmal I mean abysmal. The bartenders and wait staff are NASTY and LAZY. The drinks are disgusting, poorly made, and way overpriced. I get it, this is a UES spot but it really sucks. So many better places to go drinking waste your money elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I recently stopped in for brunch on a Saturday morning and had a really nice time. I was a bit hesitant at first because I had only been here at night in pre-covid times so I wasn't sure how I would feel about brunch at the same location. We got a table outside which was pretty nice with the heat lamps and we ordered coffees to start. To eat we got the Chipotle wrap and the fried chicken sandwich and both were really good! The wrap had the perfect portion of filling (I hate when it's so overstuffed it's falling apart) and the chicken and avacado were both great. A bit spicy for my taste on the Chipotle mayo but nothing a glass of water couldn't help with. The chicken sandwich was also delicious, the chicken was fried perfectly and very juicy, definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. Overall we had a really nice time, would definitely come back again!

I live right by here and had been meaning to check this place out forever because it always looks so cute and cozy. Finally tried it last weekend, and all of my friends had great dishes (Mac n cheese, chicken pot pie, shepherd's pie, risotto with mushrooms...) and my dish was so out of place and it was terrible. If you're thinking of ordering the chicken sandwich, DON'T. If I would have gotten this from Wendy's, I would have honestly expected more. Wendy's at least uses a real chicken breast. This chicken sandwich was processed and didn't have much flavor at all. I really don't understand why it's on the menu at all if the rest of the food is decent. To the restaurant, please either remove it from your menu or replace the patty with real chicken.

On most nights this place is a solid 6.5. The moment your server decides not to write your order down you should immediately expect nothing to be correct. Not worth $2.50 per wing

I do like a number of things on the menu, not everything, but some things are very good. The problem is when you're ordering from home.,the menu is not up-to-date. Somebody has to bring that website up the date,it's been in need of that for a long time.

This is a COVID review (Sit in) I've actually been to FMS before the whole pandemic situation. I've liked it before and it seems to be doing even better during these days. It's one of the few places on the UES that has good outdoor seating. This is because they have the coveted balcony seating area! It's great, if you can get a seat! Everyone posting post-phase 2, yes, it is hard to get a reservation. They will put you on a list and call you within 30/40 minutes. I lucked out and got a call within 10 minutes, along with a balcony seat. They're very serious about COVID precautions and rules. To even grab a seat in the balcony area, you must order food. Their menu has shrunken due to the pandemic. Sadly, their nachos have vanished (delicioussss!) But they still have the burgers and a lot of other stuff. Their burgers are great! Not as good as Ethyl's but really well seasoned and tasty. They still have happy hour and waiters that are really attentive. They have a decent beer selection still. Before, during, and after COVID -- I wouldn't go OUT OF MY WAY to visit this place. But if you're in the area, I would say it's definitely one of the best restaurant/bar combos

The food was not good at all . They need a new and real chef . There was no favor for the money I spent. I had to bring the food home and cook it correctly seasoning seasoning seasoning Mac & cheese - not fully cooked , no seasoning calamari - amazing Chicken pasta - barely any chicken Turkey burger - so thin can't really taste the meat .... Y'all need to do some research on what a burger period looks like .... I would will not come back ! Am one of the locals smh ( photo of What I added to the meal )

Wanted this to be good, but it just wasn't. Aside from the beet salad (which is the only thing keeping this at 2 stars instead of 1), the food was bland and the bread being used on the burgers and sandwiches was so dry and crumbly. Service was stiff, slow, and not attentive. If you're going to give us shot glasses for our water you better come back to refill more than once! To top it off we had stomach issues the following day. Would not recommend, will not be returning.

Fun social bar/ restaurant with live music certain days of the week and a DJ spinning the place into a club vibe other nights. Off peak, just a comfortable place to meet friends. Two levels, with outside table seating on the ground level and an outside patio where you can stand and people watch onto second avenue while chatting with friends on the upper level. The first time here, the live music was the attraction as we walked by looking for a place to have dinner - the food and music were great. Have been here a number of times since. Definitely a fun time, though can get crowded depending on the time. Music playing, and a fun upbeat energy. The bartenders, server and owner are all friendly and take good care of their customers. Recommend as a fun bar to go on a fun date or with friends.

Been coming here for a few years with my wife and kid, service is usually great, but some how not sure what happened today. Maybe it was St. Paddy's day yesterday so staff called out today or they're short of staff and some new hires weren't familiar with the menu because there's a private party going on upstairs and the main floor was pretty busy also. We got here around 2:30pm and ordered the Surf and Turf with my usual Fish and chips, our lady waitress comes back around 3:00pm to claim that there's no Fish and Chips until 4pm, which threw us off cause I've always ordered the Fish and Chips even before 4pm, so I proceeded to say just give me the Burger and then a male waiter come back around 3:15pm to claim that the Surf and Turf is no longer available after 3pm but claimed our other waitress has no idea what she's talking about cause you can order Fish and Chips all day. We said we ordered the Surf and Turf before 3pm and he proceeds to say okay our mistake, we got you, we'll put in both those orders. At this point my child was hungry, so we asked that they bring a side of fries first while we wait for the rest of the order, my fish and chips came around 3:30pm, but we still haven't seen the Surf and Turf order by 3:50pm, so we asked another waitress if that order was ever put in, she comes back 5 minutes later to repeat again that they don't have Surf and Turf after 3pm and we had to inform her of the whole debacle/blunder since we've sat down. I mean, if they weren't going to make the order, at least have the decency to come back and let us know so we can order something else, but I guess we weren't going to get any decency today. We proceeded to ask for the check and luckily because I had cash on me, we just weren't going to wait for the incompetent staff to swipe my card today for god knows what might happen to it. We actually weren't the only ones who had the misfortune of being left out in the cold while dinning outside today. We witnessed three other ladies who were seated by the host and no waiter came to even check in or take their order for nearly 15-20mins. I then saw one of the lady having to go in and ask them to send someone for service, imagine that! And it just happens to be the same lady who took our order from the very beginning, all I can say is good luck to her making it as a waitress.

Everything was fantastic, lovely brunch. Great check in to yelp offer. Was attracted to the two story out door second level to do brunch and people watch. They offer a complementary brunch drink, just nice. The only negative I would give is on the greeter/hostess. I walked in and stood in front of her, just zoned out. When she turned to me just bland no smile and actually I expected an apology since she was so checked out. When I asked about the sit out upstairs, she finally got around to a yes... then ran off. I am not kidding, she just left me ran up the stairs, I figured it out-including my seat but it wasn't because she was an even average hostess. The servers and following service made up for it. However, thats the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

My review is for brunch. A reservation is not needed, but we made a res online and were seated right away as this place can get busy. Brunch entrée includes a free Mimosa, Bloody Mary, or Bellini. An entrée ranges from $12-18, and there are loads of options. I had the breakfast burrito and I was full. My friends had the omelette and the eggs Benedict. Although we weren't wowed by the food, we thought it was decent. My friend was picking out the spinach stems from the omelette which would have been better sans stems. Our server was friendly and all of the staff seem to exude positive vibes. I love the decor of this place. It was fun to sit upstairs and have a view off of the balcony. So for ambiance I give it 5 stars. Oh and blue point oysters were $1 each! Minimum of 6. ***For $16 more you can have unlimited brunch cocktails over 90 minutes if you want a boozier brunch

We came here for Valentine's day brunch and it was excellent. We both ordered the five mile omelet and the homefries on the side were so good. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, not too sweet either! The boozy hot chocolate here is exponentially better than at other places in the city that charge you and arm and leg for something you can't even enjoy. Our favorite part was the service here. Our waitress was phenomenal. Support this place, to anyone complaining about walking up and waiting, make a reservation. It's not rocket science.
