Four Meals Worth a Road Trip This Fall | Eater Boston

"Tucked into the Longfellow Hotel’s lobby, I found a European-style bar that feels like a big living room on Congress Street where you can park on a wraparound mustard couch or gather at a long locally crafted wooden table. The vibe is cozy and social — stay for a supper of small plates and snacks or let craft cocktails and a few bites launch your night. Menu highlights include crispy chickpeas tossed with shawarma spices; whipped ricotta with toasted pine nuts and hot honey on crostini; Spanish chorizo topped with pickled Basque peppers; salsa verde paired with glistening oysters; and pork sliders with guava barbecue sauce and a zippy pepper slaw that are a must-try." - Nathan Tavares

Google
This place packs a punch for a hotel bar. The theming is great, there are multiple seating options (bar, couches, tables, lounge space) and the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Sheila and Mena are standouts, always happy to share their Portland experience and mix up any drink you like. 100% recommend for hotel guests and locals alike.

A perfect spot to grab a seat at the bar or relax on a couch or at one of the smaller tables throughout the space. The menu offers an impressive variety of cocktails, local beers, and a solid wine selection, plus some fun dessert drinks like an Americano or espresso martini. There are also small bar snacks available. The moody, cozy vibe makes it an ideal place to unwind with a drink or two. A beautifully intimate lounge tucked into a stylish hotel lobby - definitely worth a visit.

The bartender was exceptionally rude. I asked for a certain wine and was told they don’t carry it despite it being on the menu. She upsold to a very expensive wine. Bartender said kitchen closed and refused to let me order. Multiple people sitting at tables ordered AFTER she told me this and when I asked about it she threw her hands up in the air and walked away. I used to work in the food service industry and the conduct displayed was grotesquely unprofessional.

Our first visit to this establishment. John was the bartender. He was extremely personable and made a great cocktail. We had the sweet popcorn and blue cheese stuffed appetizers during happy hour. Looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Brand new bar in the bottom of the Longfellow Hotel on outer Congress. Small bar with a few seats but a big open space with other seating. They have small plates and some drinks. I got a dirty martini and it was very well done. The service and ambiance were great and upscale. Very lovely new bar.
