Five Points Distilling / Lone Elm Whiskey

Great place, somewhat hard to find, but loved the whiskey! So much to choose from. You can tell they put their passions into the whiskey. Definitely worth a visit!

Five Points hosted my husband's 40th surprise birthday party and it couldn't have been a bigger success. The master distiller toured our party of 30 around the distillery and was extremely knowledgeable. The tastings they put together for us, along with the customized cocktail menu was over and beyond. Brandon was extremely helpful in coordinating and making sure the evening went smoothly and he has a ton of connections so all of my needs were met. HIGHLY recommend this place for your next private/corporate/etc. event!

On our way back from East Texas, we made a stop off at this hidden Forney gem. They were technically not fully reopened after the snowstorm of 2021, but that didn’t stop the lovely staff from being extremely kind and accommodating, providing my husband and I a private tour and tasting. The wheat whiskeys were delicious but the happiest surprise was the vodka! What a delight! A kind and knowledgeable staff, we enjoyed our tastings and a beverage each with good conversation in the lovely cedar planked bar. We purchased three bottles (one will make the perfect Father’s Day gift) and were spoiled as our tastings and drinks were provided free of charge. If you’re in the area, be sure to check out this great local business, but beware the road leading to the distillery- it’s a doozy!

Have had Lone Elm in the past and loved it. Went on a tour of the distillery and highly recommend doing so. Went to their tasting room to sample the products and I ended up leaving with the purchase of a bottle of their small batch whiskey and a bottle of their vodka.

Everyone on site was amazing to interact with. The tour around the back-country production site provided plenty of views and smells. Better than I could have expected. The tasting room is a gem in the rough. And great spirits all around.

In early 2022, I took a tour of the distillery with some friends and loved it. In December 2022, I married my best friend at the 5 Points. Brandon and Logan were awesome. Logan is cool in that he takes you on an in depth tour and explanation of the distillery. Brandon who I believe is the owner helped us pull off our special day without a hitch. The reception was small (50ppl) and it was simply perfect. This venue is not run by a large corporation so you can bypass all the craziness that comes with planning an event like a small country wedding reception. Brandon treated us with dignity and didn't price gouge just because we wanted to have a reception party. He was fair and amenable in negotiating the business deal. On the night of, Brandon and his wife was very accommodating, and had worked with us on every detail we wanted to discuss. They even allowed us to modify the drink menu a bit since the distillery primarily serves spirits. They recommended a location to rent some equipment which we did for a very reasonable price. I was just blown away at how easy it was to do business with them and how helpful/accommodating they were. I would definitely recommend the 5 Points to anyone. The specialty cocktails were superb and its just an adorable country side bar/distillery. I hope someday they'll do live music on their newly built patio. That would simply be amazing!!

I've actually toured this distillery and enjoyed sipping the Lone Elm Whiskey. The distillery is about a half-hour from Dallas and makes for a fun outing with friends. Logan Miller, the head distiller, is knowledgeable about his product and enjoys showing folks around the property. There are even fun events on site, like this weekend's BBQ festival. If you get a chance - stop in for a laid-back afternoon enjoying some smooth whiskey. Highly recommended.

The husband and I went for a tour/tasting and it was by far the best experience we had while we were in Texas and we visited 12 other distilleries throughout the week. The bartenders/tour guides/management were so friendly and helpful with our lunch choice for good BBQ. They let the husband help bottle along with a group of other guys that were there. The bartender makes fantastic bloody mary's and old fashions. It was a very cool experience with very cool people. Highly recommended from the Whiskey Trail list

Good Texas whiskey better than what you will find in Kentucky or Tennessee. Knowledgeable staff able to suggest whiskey to sample.

@pollothecaique and myself visited the distillery on a Saturday (Labor Day weekend) and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and dedicated whiskey makers. The staff was very accommodating and the location is definitely very rustic and out in the middle of nowhere. In a good way. My only disappointment is they did not have much merchandise for sale, because I was looking forward to one of their caps. The whiskey tasted very delicious. I am a big fan of Rye but the way they are so dedicated to their Wheat whiskeys you can definitely tell in the flavor. I am excited to try this whiskey in different cocktail recipes.

My husband and I went last weekend to taste some whiskey. What a great experience we had ! I loved the Single Barrel,was by far the smoothest whiskey I've ever tasted!!!! Like WOW Heavenly! My husband also really enjoyed the Barrel Select! We tried a couple others like the Honey, Cognac and Sherry barrel ones too,all wonderful. Lastly I tried their Vodka, so impressed I bought 2 bottles. See what you think? We had a fabulous time with everyone there. Great people,great time. We'll be back soon! I've been there many times. Tastings, sushi classes, chili cook offs, making my own mash/bourbon, at events with local food vendors. Great time. They web site isn't always updated with events, but they are posted on Facebook. Highly recommend.

Love Lone Elm whiskey! Seriously...such an amazing Texas whiskey to enjoy a glass (or two) of after a long day. Super cool spot to check out too. Short drive from Dallas...well worth the trip.

My husband is a Trailblazer member of the Texas Whiskey Trail, so we have been on a mission to tour all the Texas distilleries. Five Points/Lone Elm was a great place to visit. We had a very informative tour and a great tasting. I highly recommend taking the drive to Five Points/Lone Elm!
