I was drawn to Five by the gorgeous photos posted by other reviewers, and I’m happy to say the food and atmosphere lived up to the hype. The menu is Italian, which made browsing through all the delicious options even more exciting. We started with the burrata, which was creamy and fresh—a perfect beginning. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which absolutely delighted me. It’s rare to find seafood-based pasta dishes, especially ones done this well. In Italy, “pasta con tonno” is such a staple, but not many places incorporate seafood this authentically—so I was genuinely thrilled to see it on the menu. My friend had the spaghetti and we shared the eggplant, and I paired my meal with a refreshing Aperol Spritz. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Even our server commented on our choices, saying we had picked some of the best dishes on the menu—which made us feel even better about our selections! We sat outside under the soft, dim lighting, chatting and soaking in the cozy, romantic, and elegantly designed ambiance. It was such a lovely evening. I even ordered a spicy pizza to go for my husband, and he said it was absolutely amazing—so Five was a hit all around. This spot is perfect for a relaxed date night or a special evening out. We’ll definitely be returning soon. If I had one suggestion, it would be to consider adding more seafood options like pasta with tuna or pizzas with tuna or salmon—those would be both delicious and very traditional. Cheers!

I grew up in Northeast, Federal Hill, Boston North end, this is REAL ITALIAN FOOD! Highly recommended

Google
Five restaurant has a trendy, stylish atmosphere with a focus on innovative cuisine, a vibrant social scene, and a modern design aesthetic. On the patio where we sat there were elements like exposed brick, great romantic/warm lighting I chose to drink my calories from their curated cocktail menu and it did not disappoint! The bruschetta and filet minor bites were an appetizer hit!

We had a surprise birthday party for 12 in the wine room. The food and cocktails were amazing! Brenda, our server could not have been better! She was extremely attentive and has a great personality and attitude!! We will definitely request her in the future!

Google
This place was amazing. The food, the the employees. Especially the manager (Michelle i believe her name was) was wonderful and great. She came over to our table and entertained our daughter to keep her calm while my husband and I ate. She even gave her a tour of the restaurant. It was to cute. For our first time there, i can honestly say we will be going back more often.

Google
A new trendy, new Italian restaurant has arrived in Fresno. Pros: lively atmosphere you can go to for food or drinks. Customers dress to impress. Portion sizes are solid. Presentation of food is good and service is prompt. Cons: I can't say I was impressed by the taste. There was a generous portion of mozzarella cheese with each entree but the food was plain yet oily. Eggplant Parm was decent. Chicken Rollatini and Lasagna were heavy.

Yelp
Delicious Food, Warm Service -- A Great Dining Spot with Minor Flaws We recently dined at Five Restaurant for the second time already and overall had a great experience. Food From the specialty menu, we tried the Caprese, Lobster Ravioli, and Pescatore Linguini, along with a glass of wine. The food was flavorful and beautifully prepared -- the sauces on the pasta dishes were impressive. My only small critique is that the Pescatore Linguini needed just a touch more salt. Dessert was a treat: we ordered the Lava Cake and Chocolate Bread Pudding. The flavors were rich and satisfying, although the bread pudding was slightly undercooked in the center. Still, we really enjoyed both. Service The service was exceptional. Our server was incredibly professional, attentive, and kind -- a noticeable step above others we saw working that night. He made sure we felt taken care of from start to finish, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Interior Sitting The restaurant's interior was stylish and comfortable, but the seating for two was quite tight. Tables were placed too close together, which made it difficult for my pregnant wife to get in and out easily. It also felt a bit awkward to have conversations with other diners so nearby. Overall Despite those small issues, the food, service, and ambiance made it a great night out. We'd definitely return -- especially for the specialties.

Yelp
Ambiance was perfect. Appetizers were wonderful (coconut shrimp, with honey cream sauce and bruschetta) I enjoyed the blackened salmon and my husband had the Five burger (it was huge and delicious) The service was great. When we're in Fresno again we're going back.

Yelp
Parmesan is not vegetarian. Chicken broth is not vegetarian. Five Restaurant is grossly misrepresenting vegetarian options on their menu. I don't dine here often as there are little to none vegan/vegetarian options, however my friend picked Five for a birthday dinner. I was pleased to see a mushroom risotto added to the menu, despite it being the most basic plant based dish at "fine" dining restaurants, and asked if it would be considered vegan if the parmesan was left out. Our waitress checked with the kitchen and stated that the kitchen told her that, yes it can be made sans Parmesan, however it is made with chicken broth, so would not be considered vegan. When I asked why it was listed under the vegetarian option when it is clearly not,, our waitress said she would have go over that with the kitchen. The birthday girl ordered the Rigatoni Monterosa and was only able to find a single sliver of prosciutto in her dish. Be very cautious if you have any dietary concerns or allergies as it appears their menu is not an honest representation of what comes out of their kitchen.

Yelp
08-16-25 . Met our grandson and his girlfriend there . My husband and I got there early. So we sat at the bar and each had a espresso martini. Zack was our bartender. He made some good drinks. Then we moved to the corner booth when our grandson got there. Briana was our server. Very nice and attentive. The food is delicious . Atmosphere is nice. We actually came here the weekend before 08-09-25. That's how good it is. Pat the owner is very welcoming. Very nice man. So if you have something special coming up. Go here. You won't be disappointed. Thanks to everyone who made us feel welcomed.

Yelp
The best food, great beer selection and service was outstanding! The restaurant is shiny and new! Great location.
google avatar

Noemi R.

Yelp
The ambiance is great, low lit and packed restaurant. We visited on 8/15 and we're not disappointed. Our server Brianna was attentive, cordial and very helpful when offering food options. Alcoholic drinks average $15 each, look very appealing and great! $63 ribeye was nothing out of the moon, and the appetizers were small. 7/10 for food, ambiance is truly the experience.

Yelp
We were seated promptly after our arrival for our reservation. The meal was fabulous. We had the wonderful Rustica Bread for a starter. We both had the Filet Mignon with whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus. The filets were a perfect medium rare as requested. The potatoes and asparagus were delicious. My wife had the Daou Chardonnay. I had a Paper Airplane cocktail followed by a Peach Whiskey Sour. Both were excellent. The ambience was great. Our server Ryan and all the staff were perfectly attentive. We had not been to Five for years. After our great experience we were asking ourselves why we have waited so long. We will definitely return soon.

Yelp
This place was really good. I selected the short rib pasta and my date picked the lobster ravioli. We were both very satisfied with our choices. We also ordered the passion fruit drink but it did take awhile to come out. Other than that I really enjoyed the ambiance and food.
google avatar

Aryana S.

Yelp
Ambiance is great although I did think the music was loud when my group first sat down. Service was also a standout, our server (Ryan I think) did a nice job outlining the specials and my glass was always full of water (this is very important to me). As for the food it wasn't my favorite presentation wise and flavor wise which knocked my review down. I normally excuse atmosphere if the food is outstanding but this restaurant had the opposite problem for me. I got the risotto expecting more of a balance of vegetables but I didn't see any mushrooms. I was surprised by the amount of peas. It kind of felt like they ran out of the other vegetables and just put more peas.

Yelp
Stopped here after wine tasting with friends. Service was great and the food was so good! I can't stop thinking about the steak bites and my boyfriend loved the pizza! The picture of the steak bites was after we both ate one because we couldn't help ourselves. Overall great way to end our night.
google avatar

Yelp
The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside perfectly done. Passion fruit martini is very sweet with a slight bitter taste good drink overall.

Yelp
The vibes and the service were good, I really wish I could have given a better review but the food was just not up to par for us. For what we spent for a special dinner, we were so disappointed by the food. It wasn't horrible, but for what we spent I would hope we could have enjoyed the meal more. Bruschetta: 4/5 This was our first time here and we received this complimentary - it was really sweet of them and we enjoyed it, but I wouldn't pay the menu price for it Calamari Fritti: 2/5 Such a small portion, and it was just okay, I would say it isn't as good as most calamari I've had at different restaurants Antipasto: 3/5 Enjoyable to munch on while we waited for our entrees, but nothing special, the best item on the plate was probably the prosciutto Gnocchi Pesto: 4/5 This was the best dish of the night, but it still didn't feel worth the price we payed considering there wasn't a protein in this dish Short ribs: 2/5 Not tender, lacking in flavor, this was the dish we were most excited for and most disappointed by

Yelp
Had reservations for a birthday, was seated quickly. Lots of people, parking was very limited. Food came out quickly. Our waiter checked on us often. I ordered the photo below , chicken parmigiana. I was expecting a good decent amount of pasta along with my chicken. Wasn't a fan of the vegetables. Next time I plan to order something different !

Yelp
If it weren't for the Hostess-Michelle we would've had a bad night. We were seated outside in the patio and it was a very warm this Saturday night, even though the swamp cooler was on! She was so accommodating in getting us an inside table after asking us if we would like to move. We had the best food, service was awesome! I love the oldies music in the background. We were impressed on how many servers was moving like oiled machines! No one was standing around and they were all helpful. The food was delicious and served hot! The Halibut was so tender and spices was spot on. The shrimp spaghetti with sun-dried tomato was also delish! Best of all, the Bananas foster was the Bomb! Thank you Michelle for all you did to make our night special!

Danielle M.

Yelp
We came here on a recommendation while in town for the Brandon Lake&Phil Wickham concert; myself, husband, and my in laws. The environment was warm, welcoming and we were greeted right away. Our server (wish I remembered her name! ) was SO sweet and helpful with the specials and being patient with us while we decided what to order since everything sounded so good!!! We ended up ordering the fried artichokes and coconut shrimp for appetizers and we were BLOWN AWAY! They were DELICIOUS! For dinner- Bone In Rib Eye, two orders of Pescatore Linguini, and the Chilean Seabass; all of which were SOOO full of flavor, tender, cooked perfectly and came out VERY quickly! This was one of the best meals we have had in a long time! If we lived closer to the area, we would FOR SURE be back again! Thank you FIVE for an unforgettable meal!

Yelp
My first time here, and it was amazing. The ambiance was nice and cheerful with soft oldies music in the background . Loved it. Ryan was absolutely the best waiter! He knows the menu like the back of his hand. If you go, ask to sit in Ryan's section. We had the best time. All the staff know how to run a restaurant. You won't be disappointed . The food and desert was amazing along with the delicious pomegranate martins. Definitely will be coming back here!

Yelp
Hello all , well had an opportunity to visit the "5". Food was very good including our appetizers , I had the calzone which was unbelievable huge and the sauce was fantastic. My appetizer was the coconut shrimp and it didn't last long. The service was great, Miranda our waitress was fantastic and so attentive and cheerful what a great representative of this establishment. The ambiance was lively after work meeting place we were a party of 6 so we were seated outside in an enclosed patio with heaters that were intense but Miranda took care of that. Bar area was packed looked nice folks having a fun time. The pricing was a little steep for this type of restaurant which was casual and I like that but prices didn't reflect that. Parking is challenging so be prepared.

Yelp
The food is good overall, they get so packed and parking is ridiculous- we circled like 10 times before we found one. Keep in mind they share the parking lot with several other establishments including Sequoia Brewery. Highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time and carpool if you're going with a group. The service is excellent, the servers are always going above and beyond for you. The wait time for the food is pretty long which Isn't surprising if you go on a weekend. They give you table bread and a delicious olive tapenade. Cocktails are solid-- the French 75 is delish and the espresso martinis are good as well. I've had the salads, carpaccio, pizza, coconut shrimp- all good, haven't had anything I disliked. I'm turned off by the parking and overwhelming crowds here so I only come on special occasions or for birthdays, grad dinners etc.

Yelp
Good food, good service, very fast service. Their oven pizza was so good! The drinks were ok.

Yelp
Made a reservation for a birthday dinner for 8 and they did not disappoint! We were seated quickly and the staff was so gracious and accommodating throughout. Owner/Manager was very attentive. Our server was amazing and funny. Food was hot and delicious! We haven't been to Five in many, many years, and we regret not going back sooner! This place was packed and for good reason! Good food and great service will always bring in the crowds. Well done to the owners. We will be back!

Yelp
We came to celebrate a birthday here and we wanted a nice Italian place to eat. We made a reservation and were seated a few minutes after arriving. The service was good and the Ambiance, just as well. The food was wonderful. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked. The dishes were so flavorful and very filling. It is pricey, however if u can afford to splurge I highly recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely family owned restaurant with delicious cocktails and great food. Definitely make a reservation beforehand because this is an upscale popular spot. Great for celebrating too as they have a lovely wine list.

Yelp
This was a great dining experience! It's our Anniversary today and we wanted something special and different, FIVE did not disappoint. I would highly recommend the Short Rib dinner, it was flavorful, and mouth watering. Our server was very attentive, service was quick, and ambience was perfect. It was so worth the trip from Visalia (52 miles one way) Do yourself a favor and enjoy!

Yelp
First time dining from Alabama on June 22nd. Owner and waitstaff, Dillion, the server was excellent. A great dining experience while visiting family from Madera. We would definitely return on another trip to Fresno!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal food! Great atmosphere and service! The place to go in Fresno!
google avatar

Harut F.

Yelp
Service is great here, a lot of people working at once and everyone from the front of the restaurant to the back are hustling. It can be a little loud at times depending on how busy the place is but overall not too bad. The sea bass is my go to order. Always consistent and filling, highly recommend for any seafood lover. The pizza (combo) was a bit of a let down. It wasn't anything special as far as cheese and toppings go. I thought the crust was enjoyable, but overall I wouldn't recommend the combo pizza (only because you can get a pizza like this anywhere else).
google avatar

Yelp
I was recently here for a catered event and it was fantastic. We had a nice and simple spread, pastas, bruschetta, pizza and salad. Service was on point and the environment was really comfortable. Pat, the owner, did a great job taking care of all of our guests. Five is a Fresno institution and is always worth a visit!!
google avatar

Kathy H.

Yelp
We were here on a very busy Saturday evening before New Year's. Even with a reservation we still had a bit of a wait until our table was ready and service was a bit slow. We'll have to come back on a regular day. We ordered an espresso martini and a lavender martini, both were pretty good but sloppy (sticky wet glass stems), probably from the rushed busy night. We had the Chilean sea bass, pappardelle bolognese, and the short ribs. Everything tasted delicious and we would probably order the same entries again. We took some hurried pictures as we were eating so the photos don't look as great as the food tasted.

Yelp
Went to Five Restaurant on a Wednesday at 6pm! I made a reservation for two a couple of days in advance.. I would recommend making reservations since the restaurant was packed when my fiancée and I went. Right when we entered, we were greeted right away, and we were seated. Our waiter was very attentive throughout. I ordered the calzone... and it was DELICIOUS! It consisted of ground beef, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, mozzarella. The rich and hearty red sauce really added to the calzone-- and there was ALOT of the sauce, which is a good thing! The filling of mushrooms, onions and mozzarella in the calzone was so flavorful. For dessert we ordered the Creme Brulee. I will definitely come to Five Restaurant for this! Each bite was exquisite. The quality is what you can taste and the crunch of the top and the consistency of the custard is so good! My fiancée ordered the Rigatoni Monterosa pasta and he really enjoyed each bite. Particularly the peas was a nice addition. Overall enjoyed the service food and ambiance.
google avatar

Armen M.

Yelp
It's called Five Restaurant because it's five stars! Everything on the menu was great, the waitress Jenna was a huge help with recommendations and how considerate she was. The drinks were creative and sounded amazing. I ordered the chicken rollatini and it was phenomenal. My fiance ordered the pesto gnocchi which was out of this world, and they definitely made their martinis dirty. My fiance never drinks and she had 2!
google avatar

Kari H.

Yelp
Amazing!!! We got gift cards for Christmas and we splurged. The drinks and food were top notch. The restaurant is beautiful, classy, romantic- although our table was a little too close to the other tables, would've preferred a booth but it was just the 2 of us. The lighting was just right!! We got the short rib plate and lobster ravioli's, so hot and tasty. The short ribs just fell apart, it had a delicious lemon flavor, just perfect. It was accompanied by whipped potatoes and broccolini!! My lobster ravioli had a creamy tomato base with tiny shrimp swimming around, it was to die for. We got a moscato from Paso and the Beso de Verano drink that had a habanero kick to it!!! I would recommend this restaurant, Brenda was fabulous, she was professional, helpful and kind. Would recommend!!!

Yelp
Discretion: I have only been here once so my thoughts may change. For my friend's 40th, she made reservations at Five. Upon arrival on a Tuesday, they were waiting to seat us and wanted to make sure everyone arrived. We sat down and took awhile for us to order because we were deciding. Let me break it down for you: Ambiance: Intimate, modern, Italian Service: Average. I ordered a soda and asked for a straw, when waitress returned to take our order, she had put the straws on the opposite side of the table and didn't let me know. However, she was very sweet. We then ordered food and I ordered a Beso de Verana cocktail. When my food came, I was still waiting on my cocktail so I asked the guy who set our food down if he knows when my cocktail would be coming. He seemed irritated and said something along the lines of I don't know, your waitress should know. He could have just said, I'll check on that. Food: Bread- Comes with olive tapenade, free okay Lobster Ravioli- Around $30 Portions were a little small, but it was absolutely delicious. Lobster, pasta and cream sauce went well together. Does not come with salad or soup Beso de Verana- $14 Great spicy drink with tequila, agave and habanero- one of the best cocktails I've had Tiramisu-$10- Good, moist and rich and the food paired well together.

Yelp
Love coming to Five for dinner. The lasagna is my favorite. The short ribs are always good too! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Actually hadn't been here in over a decade. Service was great. They bring you water and bread immediately. The drinks were very good. The Tuscan Nachos appetizer, Lobster raviolis and Tiramisu were absolutely incredible! Gonna be honest that I didn't love the Chilean sea bass with butternut squash risotto. The bass was cooked perfectly, but the dish was really sweet and the risotto looked like more a rice dish than traditional risotto. You can see from the picture. Definitely a good meal as a whole and will not wait another decade to come back.,

Cassie B.

Yelp
We went on a Wednesday evening and it was shockingly busy. We were originally seated inside but it was so loud we asked to be moved outside. The bruschetta appetizer was ok- it was pretty bland and cracker-like. I had the chicken parm which again, was pretty bland. The chicken was tough and dry and the breading was hard. It came with a side of pasta and green beans which were both undercooked. My husband had a pizza with hot honey and that was really good so we mostly shared that. The highlight was my Justin Cabernet. Pretty disappointing Five...

Marlin R.

Yelp
It's just ok! Steak was overcooked, flavor was ok. The ambience is nice and it seems a good place to grab a drink but again the dinner was just ok. But I must say everyone is super nice.
google avatar

Rebecca T.

Yelp
Positive atmosphere Our waiter was the sweetest and so sweet Everyone working there is so happy and kind Spectacular for special events Every appetizer and plate was exquisite Lobster ravioli, tomato soup, artichokes, all of it is amazing! 10/5 stars well deserved

Yelp
As good as it gets! To start off, it was hard to find a parking spot! I would try to get there a bit early in case you have to park far and walk. Now for the interior: the interior is a bit crowded and dark, but they do have candles lit at every table. Our server was attentive and made sure to check up on us every now and then. Here's what I got & here's what I thought: Rigatoni Monterosa (5/5): I thought this pasta was SO GOOD. The sauce is the perfect amount of salty and the peas add an extra pop of flavor that I didn't realize was there until I took a bite. Creme Brûlée (5/5): Was having trouble picking out a dessert, but this one was much larger than the other desserts at the same price. It was great! I had never had creme brûlée before-- it's crunchy on top and creamy (kind of like a pudding) on the inside. It's topped with berries and powdered sugar. Definitely a dessert to share!
google avatar

Seerut B.

Yelp
Great food, ambiance, and service for a get together with friends! Shown here is the Bruschetta, but all dishes were excellent!

Linda M.

Yelp
Burgers and soups and Italian of course is great and service is appreciated friendly , caring and hospitality is wonderful and kind.

Larry A.

Yelp
I've been here many times and the food is always amazing. Last night, we were there for a celebration. We were warmly greeted by hostesses. We started with drinks at the bar until our table was ready. The drinks didn't disappoint (Thank you Kaelyn!). We always like the vibe in the bar area. We were sat right on time and enjoyed a fabulous meal. The service and our server (LuLu) were excellent. If you're lucky enough to run into Pat, the owner, then your experience at Five is complete. Pat is friendly, very funny and a calzone lover, like me. Thanks again!!

Yelp
Love the Restaurant. It is a Gem Steak potatoes and veggies were scrumptious. The chicken Parmagiano was so tender and delicious. The Burger is good and quality meat with Crispy Bacon . Wife gets the Chilean Sea Bass w Risoto each time we go. Tiramisu for dessert is so good. I hear the Salads are real yummy too

Yelp
We all had GREAT meals on Saturday. The food never disappoints. I am vegetarian and enjoyed the delicious pesto gnocchi. The meat eaters had a variety of meals including chicken and steak. We shared bread pudding to top it all off. All amazing! Giant thank you to Marina for getting us in when I created a reservation for the wrong date! Thank you! Again, so sorry about the disruption to your evening; we appreciate you accommodating us!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner and it was a good experience. Note: Parking can be super crowded on the weekends, especially on a Saturday so keep that in mind! The interior was romantic and intimate with dim overhead lighting and candles lit on the table! Service was good. The waitress constantly checked in on us and always refilled our waters when we were low. As for the food: 〰  Rigatoni Monterosa (4/5): It was yummy! The pasta was cooked well, the sauce was delicious, and the peas added the perfect bite to the pasta. 〰  Creme Brulee (4/5): Perfectly sweet, melts in your mouth. It was a great portion size, especially if you're sharing! A great way to end the dinner. Overall, it was a good experience!

Yelp
nothing special. Made reservations. we were seated outside in their patio. nice patio, but it had just opened and not sure why we weren't seated inside. In order to get to patio, had to walk thru the bar. Ambiance was ok, a table next to us had three women who were clearly drunk and loud. not what i was expecting. Dinner selection was a little confusing. Not sure if this place was meant to be Italian, Seafood or a Bistro. Food was good but wasn't anything really special. Dessert was good, visually it was stunning. good food and service. just didn't live up to word of mouth

Yelp
An intimate Italian restaurant serving great drinks and food. No wonder the parking lot was packed at opening, this was an ideal dinner spot. Highly recommend making a reservation as they were quite busy at 5PM. Our server was incredible and appetizers came out quickly. The entrees were a bit slower but it was understandable given the rush. =ORDERED= *Lavender Martini: as an avid lavender fan, this was a pleasantly scented and sweet cocktail. Tasted like an elevated, floral lemonade. Easily could have had a few of these. *Bread: came out steaming with a side of olive tapenade. The bread itself was airy and the tapenade was naturally earthy. Light complementary starter. *Bruschetta: came with four pieces of well toasted bread. It might be a bit dark for some but I always enjoy a good crunch. The tomatoes were vibrant and garlicky, pairing well with the balsamic vinegar. *Carpaccio: melt in your mouth, thinly sliced filet mignon covered in fresh arugula, capers, lemon juice and parmigiana. The toppings were generous without impeding on the natural sweetness of the filet mignon. Favorite dish of the night. *Pappardelle Bolognese: perfectly al dente and smothered in their meat sauce. I mentioned that I preferred a tomato forward sauce and our server was kind enough to make a note with the chef. The sauce was acidic and the ground beef was tender and salty. A classic done well. *Seafood Tagliatelle: their Friday special. Came with a rich white wine and butter sauce that was packed with shellfish flavor. The pasta was similarly al dente but topped with soft white fish, scallops and shrimp. The seafood shined and the sauce wasn't too overwhelmingly heavy. *Creme Brûlée: cutely heart shaped for the month of February. The assorted berries were sweet and the custard was creamy. Had subtle notes of vanilla and easily shareable for 2. A lovely restaurant in Fresno that was reasonably priced and tasty.

Yelp
We recently dined, along with friends, at Five and it was fantastic! It had been awhile since we've been there and we plan to make it a part of our regular dining experience. The cozy atmosphere , booths, welcome greeting by Pat and his staff, not to mention his great servers and attention to making it a great place. The food was outstanding and made us wonder why it took us so long to return. We all look forward to our next meal at Five.

Yelp
Don't come starving because it's a a zoo in their when they are busy which is all the time. Best expresó martinis in town hands down. As far as the food the burger is very underrated it's so juicy and packed with flavor. This evening I tried the short rib which was ok but order the ribeye instead much better. The pasta is good as always but fairly simple
