Florida-Based Barbecue Restaurant 4 Rivers Smokehouse Is Closed on Marietta Street, Westside, Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A longtime brewpub that closed last year after about a decade at the Brickworks complex; its departure was noted alongside other recent closures in the area and contributed to questions about the neighborhood's changing commercial viability." - Beth McKibben

Normal Family Country Club. Sweet Proffessional Front Desk Team Member. Kids Swim Lessons. Tennis. Pickleball. Phone call answered. No issues. Why the bad reviews I dont know.

Google
Club itself is good but whoever is working the desk at 11:20 on Saturdays is extremely rude and she acts as if she is superior to you as if she isn’t the one working at a mediocre sports club on a Saturday😂, but aside from that one worker everyone else is nice and actually normal.

I recently got a massage with Gaby at the Spa at five seasons, and I cannot say enough positive things! I came in, extremely pregnant and uncomfortable. Gaby took amazing care of me! I felt so relaxed and at peace at the end of my treatment. I actually ended up going into labor that very evening! I had an extremely easy delivery and I have to wonder if it was the relaxation that helped things along. Gaby is a miracle worker! Definitely go see her.

Google
Horribly rude staff at the front desk not just to the parents but the kids as they come in and out. Facilities aren't great and you wonder if they are doing what they can to survive. Its inexpensive and I guess you get what you pay for.

Google
Dirty, dripping pipes, stained rugs. Lacks hospitality.

This place is alright. Lots of old people. One bad experience I had was when my friends and I were in the steam room. We were using the hose in the steam room bc we were hot and wanted to get sprayed. All the sudden some manager guy comes up and tells us to just "Leave the club." He didn't give us any explanation, just said we were too loud even though we weren't being that bad. Totally ruined our day, and he was being a total jerk about it! The manager was tall, had a bushy beard, and I think his name was Matt.

Google
This club is the best! They have tennis, swimming, basketball, fitness equipment and awesome staff. The trainers are top notch and the instructors are true experts. They have fun programs that everyone will enjoy while getting the results you want. Highly recommend this club.

Google
20 dollars for a guest fee is bogus and they never fix the gym machines down stairs that break, they jus put a sign on it for months and or get rid of the machine

Yelp
Great gym! It's a family atmosphere but there aren't any wild children or teens running around. I've been here a year and I love it. Their equipment is new and all the cardio equipments have their own TVs. Their tennis courts are clean and well maintained. The pool is great for the summertime. My kids love it! The gym is never too crowded. Great variety of fun and working out. Even has a bar and cafe/grill inside!

Yelp
Could use some cleaning and updating however the rates are reasonable. The group fitness instructors are passionate, talented and caring. Other staff have also been friendly and accommodating. We have used the facility for athletics and social events and have been satisfied.

DiAnna C.

Yelp
The good: the staff, tennis, fair membership prices, clean. The pool! Live the dome for year round "outdoor" swimming! Not so good: needs updating!

Yelp
Left number of voice messages and emails to inquire tennis lessons for my daughter. Never called back and never responded to emails. This was in the course of a month btw Oct and Nov. My wife recently called to inquire again and just seems like no one works there. Terrible customer service.

Yelp
The equipment is still original to 2000! Really!!! This is NOT modern!!!!! They have the same equipment as they did in 2000. Same carpet too! With staphylococcal infections and such. Buyer beware. One step into the group exercise room and you will be met with the smell of a thousand foul smelling feet as I doubt that the floor is sanitized on a regular basis and the yoga mats I would not touch with a ten foot pole because they smell like foul smelling feet as they have not been properly cleaned in a long time. If you are going to stay a member at this club please buy your own mat and lay towels around your mat so as to not make physical contact with the floor.

Yelp
Somehow, a few years ago I managed to get a one-month trial to Five Seasons for both my wife and myself. I have no idea how or why they gave it to me, but they did, and I got to experience many of the awesome features the club has to offer. Now I'm pretty sure all they give are one-day trials, which is still a nice way to let people get to know the place. Yesterday I attended a showcase at the club and it reminded me how awesome it is, and I was able to take a tour and see for myself how nice things still are and that they are consistently upgraded. The locker rooms are fresh and spotless. The machines both cardio and strength are plentiful, and there's a nice indoor track downstairs as well as a lap pool and free weight area. I never got to experience the outdoor pool, seeing as it wasn't summer during my trial. But I was pleased as could be with the indoor features of the club. Even the personal training staff was personable and seemed to really want to help you. I remember one of the trainers was totally willing to let me shadow his workout so I could see his routine. That was nice. I didn't feel like he was pressuring me to buy sessions, he just really wanted to educate. I can't say enough good things about Five Seasons, except for the price, which is definitely way out of my budget. And thankfully, my employer provides me with a gym membership so I don't actually need to join another health club. But if my funds were unlimited, this would definitely be the one I'd choose. Interestingly, the club never seems busy. There were only a handful of people working out there yesterday during my tour, and I remember that it was the same way when I did my trial. Maybe the price deters people. But It's kind of a nice perk. You don't have to fight people for equipment or wait in lines.

Yelp
Went here for swim lessons with my kids, the ONLY good part was the swim instructor. We would never go back and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that I know.

Yelp
Pricing is not completely reasonable but has many options like tennis swimming and basket ball court.

Yelp
I am stuck being a member of this place. They have the WORST communication. It's so ridiculous. It's like every time we call the front desk, they have no answers to what is going on at their club. They aren't informed about pool policies (whether outdoor pool is open/open for kids), they aren't informed about events even the day of, they don't know if you need to sign up for events. Their Facebook is not updated with events. They are ultra concerned about fees, etc., but they are not concerned about keeping their current members happy and keeping their promises. Ok, and let's get to the pool outside. Nice to have a pool, but it's full of patrons who do NOT watch their children. There seems to be no rules whatsoever with regard to rough-housing and having objects thrown around in the pool. I cannot wait to end my membership to this ridiculously overpriced place.

Yelp
Overall nice place! Decent gym, though Xsport is better. Decent life and fitness place, though Lifetime is more complete. But all in all very well rounded. There are weights, cardio machines, indoor track, free motion machines, basketball court, dance room with various classes including several yoga and pilates classes throughout the week, pool, spa, steam room, sauna, showers with full amenities (large towels, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, hair dryers, clean combs, mouthwash, lotion), and also LOTS of tennis courts... indoors and outdoors. 16 of them actually. Definitely the emphasis of this country club is tennis. If you don't have the gold membership, tennis courts are available for hourly reservations for $16-23 depending on availability. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And there's also a cafe with protein shakes and healthy small meals. Phone number is: (630) 570-5200

Yelp
Great outdoor pool area but there are a lot of broken chairs and the locker rooms need a face lift! This place is very dated inside! And the front desk people are not the most friendly! If it weren't for the outdoor pool I probably wouldn't rejoin.

Yelp
Working out has got to be my second fav thing to do aside from all the eating! I have been here many times even though I don't have a membership for beginner tennis classes that I purchased through groupon. The classes were once a week one hour six week classes and I have to admit the pros here know what they are doing. They taught a very organized class accommodating to all levels and making sure we all got what we intended to from our lessons. Courtime is expensive and hard to get but if you're motivated to just embrace the outdoors definitely worth the classes. The groupon also gave me full access to the gym, pool and classes that I found to be pretty good. I loved the spinning classes but was disappointed they weren't offered more often though out the day. The same went for majority of the classes. I think with Lifetime, Xport and World Gym all around the corner they don't feel the need to focus on too much more than tennis. The facility is mediocre. The equipment just does the job but doesn't offer anything special. They are clean but the locker rooms feel very outdated. The club definitely provides the essentials but with so many other places to go and the area they are in with the prices they charge I feel like maybe some of the profit could be used to renovate and update the place. There is plenty of parking of course being in the suburbs and the staff is super friendly. I think if there was another groupon for tennis lessons I wouldn't hesitate to buy it because that's what they are good at and I know not to expect the bells and whistles.

Yelp
We were attracted by the outdoor pool. The other amenities are pretty standard for a health club. The indoor track is very short and the workout areas are dispersed aroung the building. The staff is young and very friendly - always helpful. They could do a little better on their catering and entertaining options.

Yelp
Great place to swim, play tennis, work out and it is beautifully maintained and clean! Great for families, singles, couples. Indoor pool could be larger but it is nice to swim a few laps after a work out. Sauna, Steam Room, Spa for massage, nails, hair. What more can one ask for? The dining is all right. I liked it better when it had the restaurant. So, I have not eaten there since.

D K.

Yelp
This place is only getting one star because of its great location. I was a member here for three months all I experienced was ants crawling around the locker room. It smelled like poop he much all the time. The indoor pool was moldy and dirty. The workout area was so outdated. The ceilings are covered in black dust equipment was ripped old and it look like it was from 1995. And I used to come here with a friend in 1995 and I'm pretty sure it's all still the same equipment. The outdoor pool has weeds growing and the seats outside are literally the original seats from when this club opened.

Yelp
I received a personal call from the GM who said the hygiene issues have been taken very seriously. And, the club does seem cleaner. I won't venture back into the specific shower stall where the inner curtain housed a mold culture about the size of a wall map of the USSR. I'll just assume it's been replaced. The pedal straps are now all missing. That was management's answer. Remove any trace. Again, these are for the safety of the user so your feet don't slide off while peddling at high speed. But, at least the broken ones are gone. But, the place is cleaner. Most of the boogers have been cleaned off the wall. It's just too bad the place needed to be called out on social media that it is dirty.

Yelp
I have been going to health clubs for years, more than I am willing to document here and I have to say that Five Seasons is at the top of my list. The facility is beautiful, the equipment is functional and up to date. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the food is good too! I am really looking forward to using the pool in the summer-it blows the pool at nearby Lifetime away! I joined for the fitness facilities but I think I might take tennis back up. I really have found my fitness home here

Brenda S.

Yelp
The club is new again. The new tennis pros are smart and give the best instruction a player can ask for. The drills are so good I look forward to every one. The team tennis has great ladies that have superior sportsmanship. If you play tennis for fun this place has got it.

Linda W.

Yelp
I received the BEST massage of my life from a new girl at Five Seasons. Her name is Jessica Neumann. I get massages regularly and I'm not easily impressed. Her pressure was just right and her wisdom of massaging is very impressive. She could tell what my problem areas were by touch. I felt like a new person after the massage. I'm not a member of the club but will continue to go there to get massages from Jessica. The spa was peaceful and very clean. I highly recommend Jessica if you are looking for a great massage! Oh... and she has such a sweet sprit about her too!

Yelp
great gym, not too busy, and perfect price for the facility. The best value comes in the summer when you can go during the day some days and drink pool side resort style. There's a point everyone eventually get's to where you don't even hear the kids yelling and screaming. 4 stars because I'd like it to have a little better food. But then again, I'd probably not want to pay any extra so don't change it on my account.

Tyvin C.

Yelp
This gym is marketed as an upper tier/luxury gym but it falls flat. 1) The membership staff are a joke, half of them workout at Xsport. Their attention to detail setting up an new account is poor, leading to accounting and billing errors. When I signed up hey gave me someone's account number on my key chain tag. I feel sorry for who ever paid for my snacks. 2) The tennis pros are not happy with their management and communicate poorly with the billing department often leading to double billing and wrong posting dates. 3) The outdoor pool is filled with kids which is not a bad thing but they fail to keep the pool clean. During the day you can see visible scum floating along the shallow end. 4) For a high end club they spend little money on guest tennis ball/baskets or repairing the broken ball machine. 5) The courts are nice but nothing special compared to other clubs. 6) They are struggling with low membership enrollment. At times they will do a Groupon deal but are not equipped to handle the influx of non members at the expense of paying members. 7) There is strife between staff due to poor leadership leading to struggles that put the members in the middle. Billing girls will blame the tennis pro and visa versa but they will never talk to each other. 8) I think they changed the overall tennis program director again which is probably a good thing, now they might be able to keep an adult tennis director. None of the local pros want to step to up to adult program director since they can sense the lack of support from the club management. 9) I wanted to buy something from the Pro shop but nobody had a key for the lock down chain. I ended up just buying online quicker than the person with the key would get back to me. 10) They should focus on making the tennis courts a better value. You would think that with the $2000.00 initiation membership fee they would add more features. The only nice feature is an igloo water dispensers near the net. Other features are poor. The ball machine needs repair, all the ball baskets are all locked, nobody can help you if you have court issues (the front desk person will only try to find a pro if there is one), and adult drop in drill seams to be a chore the pros are reluctant to fill. There are good things but nothing that other clubs can't offer. Overall the gym is trying to be something it can't. It is bloated and without focus. It relies to much on it location in Burr Ridge as a marketing point. Their poor leadership from the top down gives an unfortunate hollow feel.

Yelp
The pool is big but overcrowded not very nice. There is decent equipment. A little too high for the services. The staff is friendly most of the time. The trainers are okay but seem a little to extra frisky for my liking. It feels unprofessional in that aspect. The food is good but pricey. Lots of tennis. Perhaps a dress code should be enforced if it is supposed to be a country club. Scantily dressed women and raunchy music videos on the television are not my cup of tea.

Diane D.

Yelp
The best thing by far at Five Seasons is the massage talent of Jessica Neumann. She is new to the club and available to nonmembers as well. I am very picky about massages and Jessica is really great. She has the right balance of making it relaxing and deep pressure. She is friendly but does not talk during the massage unless you ask her questions. She has a great sense of what your body needs. You may even work out more just to rationalize the need for more frequent massage treatments so it is a win win.

Donna R.

Yelp
I'm not even sure why I continue to pay monthly fees for such an ill run facility. Front desk staff are not educated on the navigation of the website. My activity is not current on the website either. Their studios are incredibly hot and the fans sound like they need servicing. The rubber coated hand weights are cracked and peeling. There is not nearly enough step benches. I hope they excel on their tennis amenities because they are falling quite short everywhere else. We have the membership primarily for the pool in the summer since our beloved Willow Pool closed a few years ago. I'm completely annoyed and seriously considering canceling my membership and going to a low budget facility as it appears that is what kind of service and amenities I'm getting from a "Country Club".

Mike G.

Yelp
Poorly managed and completely over priced club. High turn over in staff. Dirty facility. Fitness equipment is awful and falling apart.

Kim A.

Yelp
I loved the Zumba class(only one at night) and the cardio kick boxing. Both Kelly and Kristin are fabulous. Unfortunately they only teach one night a week. Both on the same night. I work downtown and can't get to the club to 6:30 and they offer very little at this time. They don't really have any classes on the weekend, unless you want to get up at 6am on your day off to start working out. If you can be there between 8-10 during the weekday mornings you will be fine. This place seems to cater more classes to stay at home moms and like the other person said more towards tennis. I love the outdoor and indoor pool and eating outside on the patio, but I didn't join a health club to eat. They are very disorganized in the billing area and it has taken me 6 months and numerous phone calls to try and get it straightened out with no apology. I spoke to several managers who all offered a call back to straighten things out, but I never received one. The rest of the club is just average. I will be quitting this membership and just joining classes for Zumba and Cardio for a lot less than what I am paying. If you want to be frustrated with the management this is the place for you.
