Best Restaurants in Portsmouth, New Hampshire | Eater Boston

"From the team behind beloved vegetarian bistro Green Elephant, this Thai restaurant focuses on Isaan cuisine from Northeastern Thailand. Sample drunken noodles, crab fried rice, and Isaan beef tartare. You’ll find pops of New England cuisine in there as well, like the lobster coconut curry noodles." - Celina Colby

1st time and won't be the last! Wonderful service from Elyse, and all staff were pleasant. Nice outside space with comfy seating, and a beautiful bar and dining room. Excellent drinks and food with delicious flavor made with fresh ingredients. We shared small plates: the spicy tuna tartare (not overly spiced, and they'll dial it down if you want), the shrimp/chicken dumplings, the Laab duck, and the Teppan grilled mixed vegetables. All perfectly cooked and presented. The drinks get equal attention and are a clear step above the usual bar offerings! The May Flowers, Ride Along, and Slippery Slope were delicious. Kudos to chef and staff!

If you're looking for good Thai food and a place to sit down and enjoy, this is the place. The Decor is as unique as the food. Every dish we had was decorated like it was an art piece. The food was so refreshing it was satisfying. The dine in experience was worth it. The staff were amazing. I definitely will be back to try more from the menu.

Such a hidden gem! This place is so cool, the food is excellent and unique, the drinks are on point, and the vibes are great. I love that you can get a bunch of small shareable plates, we were really tempted to order everything on the menu! My favorites were definitely the moo ping skewer and garlic calamari. I also enjoyed the tuna tartare and laab duck. For dessert, we got the souffle cheesecake which was as beautiful as it was tasty (both!). We sat at the bar and I enjoyed the conversation with the bartender, I can't wait to come back here!

A great option for Thai food. The prices are high, but the atmosphere is very elevated. The food is delicious, although the portions are small. Overall, if you are looking for Thai food in a fancy place, I recommend coming here. If you only care about food quality, I recommend Nikki’s over this place.

First, I wish we had one of these restaurants where we live! The food was delicious, the service TOP-NOTCH (Thank you Danny), the price is reasonable, and the ambiance matched my vibe.

We stumbled upon this place and had a very fantastic meal. I’ve been searching for a green papaya salad that tasted like those in Thailand for years and finally found it! We ordered several dishes and loved them all. We sat at the bar and Mike gave stellar service as well. The fine dining is unusual for Thai (wine doesn’t really go with Thai food, recommend a beer or cocktails) and prices are a bit higher but food is elevated and it’s a nice atmosphere. We were not planning on a fine dining meal and were dressed quite casually but still felt comfortable. Would absolutely go back!

We spent just under 3 hours here this afternoon catching up with a friend we had t seen in years. Food was delicious! Where most Thai places just dump out piles of noodles with unbalanced sauces, these dishes were thoughtful and well-executed. We will be back! Shared 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, and a dessert! Thanks for a memorable meal, we will be back!

I came in twice. The food was fine both times. The service was OK the first time and weird the second time! It was a different bartender and she acted like I wasn't supposed to be there. This was about 7PM (they close at 9) and it was just me at the bar and a single table, basically acted like I had inconvenienced them by showing up. I had to flag the bartender down to ask for a food menu even though I was the only person at the bar. No offer for a drink, dessert etc. I'll make their lives easy and get food elsewhere next time.
