The BEST fish and chips ever!! This is a little secret of mine. Love to get the fish and chips and head to the beach. They also have a variety of seafood and side dishes- as well as fresh baked bread. It’s truly amazing. No dining room so be prepared to enjoy at a picnic table outside or at the beach.

I went in search of their smoked whitefish. I had a soup recipe that needed it, and they were the only place around I could find it. It was $30 for a pound of it, which I feel is a bit steep, but I paid it, of course. *Side note* I made my soup, and the smoke on the fish is quite intense. It was a bit overpowering for my personal tastes. I also bought some of their Szechuan green beans to try and an order of Fish & Chips. The green beans were good but a bit underwhelming. When I hear the word "Szechuan," I think bold and spicy. These were not. I ate them all, don't get me wrong, but I wanted more heat. The Fish & Chips were brought to me outside at one of their picnic tables. The potato wedges(shouldn't be labeled chips, imho) were cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. The three little pieces of fish were fresh but quite dark in color and bland. I ate one piece and took the rest home for my husband to try. For $18.99, I was not all that impressed. Which makes me sad because so many people rave about it.

The people are super friendly. We love getting the fish and chips. Large portion that the wife and I can split and be totally satisfied. There is some outdoor seating under the trees which will be very nice this summer. Plenty of parking. They also have a really nice selection of fresh fish to throw on the grill as well as a small selection of gourmet items, sauces, seasonings.

I forgot to take pictures until we were almost done eating because everything was so good. We had popcorn shrimp, fish and chips, and the deli green beans. It was all incredible. We also sampled the salmon jerky and YUM! it was not what I was expecting but delicious! Get some green beans!

Highly Recommend: got here fish and chips, some of their smoked fish and salmon jerky. Everything tasted amazing! I will mark this place as my stop whenever driving through the area or staying close by. I did not see seats inside but they have some picnic tables outside to sit.

What a great find in Harbor Country. Flagship has a rich variety of fresh, amazing seafood, a very knowledgeable staff, easy parking, and oh yes, the smoked fish spreads. Had Sockeye salmon tonight. Yummy.

This place is so beautiful. It's got an adorable ghibli-esque vibe and the staff is so warm. And the food! We got the most delicious salmon dip here. I went here on vacation and I'm still thinking about it. Also be sure to try the apple brew! It's in these adorable green bottles in the fridge. If you like sparkling water, you'll love it. The interior is warm, the food is great, and the people are wonderful. This is a place I'd highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Tucked away on a side of road in a small house-like structure is a very good fish market that not only has decent whitefish and salmon spread among other things, they also make pretty darn good fish and chips on the spot - crispy outside and meaty inside with equally well fried french fries make an excellent snack/meal. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite places to get fish and chips. It's pricey but comes with three pieces of fish and some American style French fries. I also love getting the smoked salmon jerky which is a sweet and salty flavor and tender pieces of salmon, so so good! The cold smoked lox is addictive and delicate when it's fresh. Prices are high but if you love fresh fish, it's one of the better places in the area.

Shrimp was dry and didn't taste fresh. Considering the $30 price, it was a bad value. The potato salad was also a bad value. It came out to about $20 for a tall container, but you could find the same quality/volume at a grocery store for $5. Positive points: The staff were friendly and nice, and the fish and chips were good and reasonably priced at $17.

I stopped in a couple years ago to get fish for dinner. The shop was phenomenal. I know they have a Winter Break but I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

We've been to Flagship for the seafood we've needed to cook. It never disappoints. For the holidays we've gotten outstanding shellfish here. The mussels were the biggest I've seen since Arnold's Mr. Olympia days. The clams we recently had were also very good. Throw in a nice, crusty baguette, a wedge of humboldt fog, crackers and the must have sticky toffee cakes. Yes, cakes-plural. This was our favorite dessert when we lived across the pond. The ones they sell here are spectacular. Keep in the freezer, nuke for saucy goodness and thank me later.

Fish selection is amazing!! Will cut to any size! Knowledge staff help with ideas and cooking tips! Great sauces and accoutrements for the fish too! Definite must try!!!

I went in with my family to grab lunch, and had some questions as it was our first time visiting. I looked up the menu on their site beforehand, but was still confused as they stated there was a limited selection but there was no menu inside. Not a big deal - I just had a few clarifying questions on what was available to order. The lady who took our order acted like I was irritating her by asking any questions...so much so that we almost left in the middle of placing our order, and I stopped asking any remaining questions I had (Are there drinks available for purchase? Is there a restroom available my son could use?) We received the food and the fish and chips were fantastic. I really enjoyed the food, but the experience was soured by the person helping us. Some people are just not to meant to be customer facing.

Based on all the reviews that we saw we decided to stop by only to get disappointed because anything they do they microwave their clam chowder ordered fish and chips for 17.50 and got 2 small pieces Inside is very expensive for smoked fish The worst part about our experience here is lady that takes your orders is very rude and unprofessional Never again And btw clam corn chowder has no clams :( You'll get a lot of potatoes and carrots And it's not fresh to order She literally took it out of the fridge that was standing there last night we hoping NOT A RESTAURANT NO RESTROOMS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE L

Came by for fish and chips, smoked salmon and poutines. They were all good! They have a lot of smoked and fresh fish options from 3 continents, ordered previous day and delivered fresh every day. They have many cheese dips made from smoke salmon, smoked white fish and many other wonderful options to make a sandwich, an entree, picnic, cheese and meat platter. We will surely be back to try the other items on the menu.

Definitely costs a little more, but they make everything in house and truly give a lot of attention to detail. I had never been here but chose to order through this location for my birthday picnic. I sent them a spreadsheet of my orders (about 40 people) with some edits to some of the lunchboxes and when we picked up the order all boxes were labeled, napkins were wrapped around silverware, cookies were supplied and the kids even got little gifts with their meals. So great! The grilled tuna sandwich was fabulous as was the smoked salmon. Very very good. Highly recommend.

We stayed right down the road and walked up to the market during our stay. We tried a little bit of everything- fish and chips and the popcorn shrimp. Both were delicious!! We got some white fish and tortilla shells for some fish tacos that evening, along of some delicious cheese and cracks and fish dip. The lady who runs the shop was super nice and helpful. Definitely a must go if you are in the area!

Did you know they offer sandwiches and fish baskets To Go!!!! One of my all time favorites is their Salmon BLT and their Perch Basket. Not your everyday Fish Market. Such great food! I'm a huge fan and will always be a regular customer. Note they close for the winter usually January ish - March ish.

Wonderful spot just down the street from our lodging, we stopped in for take out lunch. The owner and an employee were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We got fish and chips, a smoked salmon Blt, pimento cheese dip, and crackers. Everything was wonderful. Prices were a bit high but not out of what one might expect for a fresh seafood market in a resort area. Lots of fresh and frozen seafood options to take to go to cook at home as well as prepared options and a lunch menu. Our food was ready in a few minutes. There's 1 table indoors and a couple outside, so probably best for take out. Would definitely come back and would recommend.

Make sure you check your order before leaving this establishment. I was charged hundreds of dollars in seafood items for a party and a major item was missing and yet paid for. When I called I was met with suspicion only to find out that I was correct and yet there was not an apology from Flagship just attitude "it was not there fault we were shorted $40.00 in shrimp". Watch out and check order thoroughly before leaving establishment (which may be difficult since order is all stapled shut....take time to look

flagship specialty is the perfect place to purchase fish and embellishments - Rachel took time to suggest what to get to host a dinner for our special guest and she was spot on - the cod was delicious with lemons and olive oil - the smoked salmon was great with sour dough bread and capers - the spreads really give your taste buds a kick and the flower bouquet was the perfect gift for our guest to remember us by - highly recommend patronizing this harbor country gem

Very high quality seafood! We've had a number of different types of fish and have always been impressed. It's hard to get fresh fish around here and Flagship is always on target. Price is very fair for the quality.

Outstanding fish and chips. Fresh and delicious. You will not be disappointed. Some of the best I've had in a long time.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised given the setting, but we ordered two pounds of shrimp and two pounds of clams and it was... get ready... $130. The quality was super high, so if you don't know the price of milk, then go for it, but we pay half that in the city without a measurable difference in quality. It's a bummer, because we have a modest place nearby and I love fish, but I can't justify it, even with the excellent quality.

Specialty fish market that does not disappoint. The team is knowledgeable and has A++ product! The shop also has specialty sauces and marinades that looked quite good. Will be back to try more!

Just not impressed, had the fish tacos and they were just ok, may have been better if they had warmed the taco shell. But really, two orders of fish tacos and two drinks. 40 dollars, wow......

What a great find while staying by the lake for the week! Rachel, Devin, and crew did a wonderful job of acquainting us with what they could do to enhance our stay. The chalkboard is updated as fresh items come in, and the variety of fish and seafood is excellent. If you see a fish you haven't attempted to prep and cook before, they will give you a nice understanding of what the fish is and where it comes from, as well as some knowledge on times, temps, marinades, and serving tips to make it an amazing addition to your table. They are about so much more than simply selling you a product; they truly want your experience to be above board! Over three nights we had Sturgeon, Salmon, and Barramundi as our main course. We ate scallops on each of the three nights, the fantastic dry-packed U10s on two of them. The dry-packing saved us a ton of prep time and made for a much better product to work with and serve - no juice logged, plastic bag scallops to wash and dry . While picking up provisions for one of the nights we had the Fish 'n' Chips with Belgian twice cooked fries. Get this if you're here; they are one of the best we've had! Again, great find and highly recommend!

If you are in the New Buffalo/Sawyer area this is a must. We all crave Fish and Chips and are often left disappointed after a meal because it is too greasy, too much breading and poor quality fish. This is not the case with Flagship...fantastic, fresh Fish and Chips, you get what you pay for. If you have more than 4 people I highly recommend ordering family style. The Cheddar Herb biscuits are a must (ask them to be heated).

Simply the best seafood and provisions in Harbor Country. The quality of the fresh seafood is consistently superb and they have wonderful pastas, imported canned fish, sauces, crackers, etc.; prepared food is fantastic. Service is always good. We are here every time we are in Union Pier.

Very friendly owner. The prepared food has been delicious. I have had excellent fresh fish that I would have not found for miles around. But, I stopped going when I was lied to about the origin of the cod that was on sale. I asked where it was from and was told Iceland by the owner. I had never seen cod from Iceland before and was intrigued. She walked away after asking someone to wrap the cod. For some reason the assistant decided to bring the entire box of cod from the back and clearly printed on the side was the origin, CHINA. Needless to say, one should be able to trust where the food they eat comes from, and I could no longer trust the owner. Obviously, many species of fish do not come from Chinese waters, so if that matters to you, know the species you are buying and you should be ok.

Great new addition to the area. We stopped by and had the fish and chips. Seriously the best fish I have had. You will be blown away by the fries. The where crisp on the outside, perfectly cooked! We also shared a porchetta sandwich, what great flavor. We wanted to stop by before leaving for the day to take fish fish home, but didn't have time. So we will be back for sure!

Prices are high but food is gourmet to go, just stop in and it's ready to pick up. Rachel is very nice and will put together a custom catering order also. I loved the shrimp skewers and her chocolate chunk cookies were excellent. Smoked salmon is also a specialty. Lucky to have a carry out like this in the county

What a great addition to the area. We are constantly saying if we need fish bring it from Chicago so they really fit a niche. They have very good prepared foods for example New England clam chowder and Szechuan green beans. Also around the holidays they were selling crab tips with a remoulade and it was a great addition to a dinner party. We also went in looking for a new recipe and the owner suggested her fresh scallops and how to cook them. Looking forward to next summer!

Delighted to discover this great place just up the road. Delicious fresh fish! Yay. So so needed in this area. The clam chowder is one of a kind. So many pre-made options to go. Try the hot smoked salmon! Looking for an amazing French baguette that you can't find anywhere in the area? They have them here!!! And the fish and chips... oh boy. I'm ordering some right now for dinner...

We stopped by to pick up fish n chips for carry-out based on other Yelp reviews, and we were not disappointed! Customer service was excellent. The individuals who served us were friendly and made helpful suggestions to help us order just enough food for our family of four. We added some cheddar biscuits and "clam chowdah" to go with our fish n chips. The cod fish was perfection, and the fries were delicious. I always enjoy a good chowder, and theirs provided a nice complement to our entree on a cold winter day. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stop again. If our stay had been longer, I would have loved to explore their fresh catch options and take something home to cook. They had plenty of other specialty foods available (cheeses, spreads, side dishes, etc) as well as items needed to help prepare fish/shellfish at home. Really lovely little store for anyone who loves seafood!

As someone who spent many years buying seafood from coast to coast including a healthy amount of time in Santa Monica Seafood, the only words that come to mind are STICKER SHOCK. Sure the fish is fresh. But at these prices the fish should be expertly prepared and THEY do the DISHES. If for some reason they are doing philanthropy then say so so I can ask for a tax deduction. Being the only game in town doesn't justify the obscene prices they charge. $60 for a couple of fillets is not a good business model. Save an arm and leg and just buy IQF seafood from the freezer case. Guaranteed to be safe to eat.

Truly top notch, probably the finest quality food here in Harbor Country! Always fresh, always polite and fast so you can easily pop in to pick up lunch. The Salmon BLT is a great lunch option but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Fish and chips are great and even the non-seafood items are terrific. The hot smoked salmon is as good as I have tried anywhere!

Entire family thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Tremendously helpful and knowledgeable staff. We will definitely return during our stay in town.

I was only going to give it 2 or 3 stars, but the quality of the food is good. Just don't get anything to eat there, unless you like eating with plastic spoon out of a half pint plastic container in the aisle of a grocery store. It's the same thing except you get to eat while sitting on metal folding chairs under a make shift tent. No waste receptacle around. Eat lunch somewhere else. That said, everything is much more expensive than we are used to and the delivery truck for the seafood was from Grand Rapids, not Chicago. The soft shell crabs were small but very good, as was the orzo salad and the curried chicken salad.

The smoked salmon dip is to die for. I love swinging by as a quick to go meal and getting the fish and chips or a side. In addition to the freshest fish in the midwest, they have great cheeses. In addition to the glorious seafood they can give you great advice on how to cook things and recipes! They do wonderful catering for holidays if you just want to pick something up instead of slaving away for a large party.

This place is amazing, dont know where to start. Rachel the owner came out and talked to us about all the fish and other items to choose from. The man behind the counter could not have been nicer or more helpful. We ended up sampling some items before we purchased because they offered it to us. We got the cold smoked salmon, smoked whitefish dip, crackers, sushi grade ahi tuna, marcona almonds, and acouple pecan pie cookies. All were more than wonderful. We told Rachel we usually buy tuna from Dirks in Chicago, she knew him because of her 30+yrs in seafood business, and her tuna was just as good. Other people have mentioned this place as pricey, but it is the same price you are going to pay at Dirks or any other quality fish market in Chicago. We made deconstructed sushi with it, sooo good. Other items we ate on the boat and have made others future visitors because everything was so good. All in all I have to say support this business, friendly staff and owner and quality food. I will def be back soon to try fish and chips, porchetta sandwich and clam chowder!!!

A great addition to Harbor Country. Fish choices change daily and both frozen and fresh fish is offered ..... love the fresh lake perch. In addition, lots of great specialty grocery items. Pricey .... but yummy.

We ordered lobster tails, shrimp, clams and mussels for our paella and the seafood was superb as was the service. Rachel is the best!

Stopped in for the first time this week and were pleasantly surprised! So happy to have a specialty seafood shop nearby. The staff was not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also very friendly and kind. They allowed us to taste some of the side dishes and one thing was more delicious than the next! We bought both the whitefish and salmon spreads that we ate all week on everything! We came back two days later to buy food to cook at home and it didn't disappoint. We had the Asian chicken wings to start that we warmed up on the grill and then salmon (also on grill) and a side of the goat cheese and dill orzo salad. Some of the best salmon we've ever had. We will be back!

A hidden gem! Great specialty seafood shop, nothing else like it in the area. The fresh seafood is amazing, as well as the special sides and dips. They also have some of the best fish and chips around! Always consistent, definitely a new favorite!

I love seafood and I love a small specialty shop. I also like to support local and small businesses in my own environs. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The selection is eclectic and focused on the seafood, which is clearly mostly not local, which is an interesting juxtaposition. Deli case has some lovingly prepared foods to go - pesto chicken salad, shrimp with orzo, smoked salmon, a smoked fish spread, among others, which I suspect will change and rotate. The place is new and I've only been in it a few times. The Diver scallops I've had twice have been fantastic - pan seared at home. The oysters I took out (I am a HUGE oyster fan) disappointed me, but it's probably cheaper and better to order and eat them in a restaurant where they move quickly, than from a Michigan seafood boutique. Overall, though, I love the place and hope it thrives and becomes a Harbor Country fixture. Good good stuff.
