Flair Hotel Schwanen

On the plus side the staff were helpful and the restaurant served good food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the hotel lacked atmosphere and one suspects is mostly used by people on business. ||The restaurant was busy, a good refection of local support rather than relying on hotel guests. Reasonably priced dishes which the chef was happy to tweak to meet customer’s requests.||The rooms are simple but lack any air conditioning which on a hot and humid night was challenging, to say the least.

Stayed a few days at this property and thoroughly enjoyed it! Not luxurious but comfortable rooms and very functional indeed, as well as clean. A wholesome breakfast. The restaurant is highly recommended. The owner couple take pride in what they do and one of them is always around to talk to. Walking distance from the kur and the beautiful park. ||Walking distance from the train station, but trains are not very frequent!

Had a great overnight stay en route to Italy. Friendly staff, diner was really nice, our suite was excellent and breakfast was good. We booked a family room, but we're upgraded to two rooms. Highly recommended 😃

We had a very spacious room on an upper floor with a little balcony. The room was not facing the railroad so we had a good night's sleep. There is adequate parking available. A word of caution: if you have a lot of luggage there is no elevator. ||The breakfast buffet was quite satisfactory but we had arrived too late the night before to eat in the restaurant which we remembered well from some years back.

I chose the hotel because it was a good location for my stopover on the way to Switzerland. Luckily there was still one (free) parking spot available when I arrived. Even when the hotel met my requirements, I was a bit underwhelmed with the whole experience. I didn't feel very warmly welcomed when the reception insisted on removing one the duvets from the bed because I had booked a double room with single occupancy. Although probably correct, this never happened to me before.||||The room was clean and decent with balcony and small bathroom. But for the price I had expected a bit more than a very basic room in the back even when I booked the lowest category. Breakfast was also fairly simple; decent but by no means opulent.||||I did not try the restaurant in the hotel. Perhaps I should have because I read good reviews of it.||||All in all, for my stopover it was good choice but as a tourist I would not consider the same room in the same hotel.

The place is quiet and charming, but in terms of price/quality, I find the hotels here a bit expensive. We arrived too late to have dinner in their restaurant.

Nice and clean, just a few steps from the rail station, ideal for visiting the region, especially when using public transportation. Personnel: quick and attentive. The room I booked, a double, was a particularly fine one and the stay was pleasant. Breakfast: a bit too old fashoned, but acceptable. Wifi connection (free) a bit hectic.

Great little hotel! The rooms were clean and very relaxing, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The room we had was remodeled and had the nicest bathroom/shower that I've ever seen in a European hotel. Breakfast was great also. Highly recommended for a relaxing weekend!
