After a long day of traveling and checking into the fantastic Higgins Hotel, my partner and I were craving something convenient, delicious, and not too far a trek. Flamingo A-Go-Go popped up as a mere 0.1 miles away with good reviews, so we decided to give it a shot – and boy, are we glad we did! We were truly pleasantly surprised by every aspect of our experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and lively, loved the music playing! But what truly stood out was the service. Our server, Trenecia, was an absolute gem. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her suggestions were absolutely on point. She guided us through the menu with such enthusiasm, making it tough to choose because everything sounded so good! We started with her recommendations of the boudin balls and also got some hush puppies. They arrived piping hot and packed with flavor – the perfect start to our meal. For our main courses, I went with the Flamingo Shrimp Alfredo, and it was a creamy, flavorful dream with perfectly cooked shrimp. My husband opted for the Shrimp A-Go-Go PoBoy with onion rings, and he raved about the freshness of the shrimp and the delicious sauce. The onion rings were tasty, too. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was absolutely delicious, clearly made with care. Even though we were getting full, Trenecia sweetly suggested we try the Kalauha Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert, and we’re so glad we listened! It was the perfect decadent end to a fantastic meal – rich, smooth, and just sweet enough. We left feeling completely satisfied and already making plans to return. We're definitely coming back during our trip to try the redfish, which Trenecia also highly recommended. If you're staying near the Higgins Hotel or just looking for an amazing meal with incredible service in New Orleans, Flamingo A-Go-Go is an absolute must-visit!

Went for lunch with my daughters. I had pasta, my oldest daughter got breakfast, and my youngest daughter got shrimp and fries. Not special consider we were searching for that NOLA taste you hear about. Instead it was just normal American cuisine, but not bad.

Google
The experience was awful. My volleyball team had reservations for 8 pm. Some of us didn't receive our food or drinks. I didn't receive my food until 10:30 pm and the restaurant closes at 11 pm. A mom had to stop eating to retrieve our server who was yapping her mouth in the back. Her son's burger was completely pink in the middle and her daughter, my teammate, didn't receive her drink. My coach and another teammates burger was raw. I was one of the people who didn't receive her food in a timely matter, so I didn't leave a tip. My shrimp poboy was OK, but would've been better if we could've eaten our food in a timely matter. Some of us didn't receive refills, we weren't checked on until one girl, a white girl, came over and helped us. It was still slow, but she was way better than the brown girl who initiallytook our order and was talking in the back instead of checking to see if we had all of our food. I'll never eat there again. On our way out we saw a rat and a roach, and yes, they both lived there. I'm thankful I prayed over my good before I ate.

Google
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had in New Orleans. Excellently spiced and expertly prepared and drinks were great too. I especially love the atmosphere and the decoration.

Google
Came here for brunch with some friends and Kayla was the most attentive and sweetest server! She made sure we didn’t see the bottom of our glasses for bottomless mimosas. Thank you to Aubrey, the manager, for also checking on us. Great vibes and food as well

Google
This place was super busy, and the manager, Remy, took care of us from start to finish. The food was amazing, some of the best we had all weekend. It came out hot, fresh, and large portions. The blackened shrimp/chicken with jambalaya was superb! My husband's fried shrimp poboy was amazing and huge with garlic fries. They were the best. We had more food than we could eat. Remy was absolutely the best and runs a great place. It's definitely a loud, friendly vibe but holy cow, if you pass this up, you are losing out on a hidden jem. Our drinks were well worth the money as there was no lack of alcohol in them. We will be back!

Google
This place was great. Muffy was the best server by far. Had the turkey Cuban sandwich with fries. Muffy told us we needed to add the garlic butter sauce, and I agree with her needs to be added. The manager was great as well and very friendly.

Google
Don’t let the eclectic decor fool you, the Flaming A Go Go delivers flavorful foods at a great price. The indoor seating feels rather like an art gallery, and while it was raining today and the outdoor patio was not viable, it’s an equally laid back area chock full of a collection of the miscellaneous. I bet this place is hopping on the weekends! I chose the All American Breakfast Sandwich from the Brunch menu which was generously draped with delicious apple wood smoked bacon, so much so, I almost wished it had an extra, sunny side up egg. The whole wheat bread was really hearty and the cheddar cheese brought it together nicely although I regret not adding the guacamole for an extra $3. The side of grits were hot and nicely prepared, and the perfect pairing. The coffee was a hot, bold brew and complimented my meal as I had hoped while staying at the nearby Higgins Hotel. Staff are friendly, atmosphere is absolutely casual and worth a visit.

Yelp
Was able to sit outside on their huge patio. We picked this place for the all you can drink margaritas on Mondays and I am glad we did! There was only one server, but she was fabulous even as it got busier. The shrimp sandwich was AMAZING. We drank and ate and sat out on the patio Until closing. I would definitely come Back when I am In town.

Yelp
We've been here a few times for brunch and late lunch and it's an okay spot - relatively unremarkable bar food. I would say the brunch food is better than the lunch dinner stuff. I was disappointed with the gumbo as it was very watery and didn't have much stuff in it. The kids shrimp and fries were really greasy and the e fries had a taste of seafood past...time to change the oil I guess. The blackened shrimp taco kit (build your own) was okay, but somehow they were watery/greasy too. The shining bit was the queso blanco and homemade chips. That was the best part of the meal Our server was super nice and had the right amount of attention to make sure things were going well. Overall, I would mark this as a typical bar.

Yelp
The restaurant is much larger than it first appears. The dining room is rather good size, and then there is an outside patio out back, which is twice as large. The food was great. Chicken & waffles and Irish Coffee were all delicious. Very yummy. Service was okay and excellent at the same time. The server/food runner brought our food but forgot to bring the maple syrup and took a few minutes to return with a "necessary" item, but the someone else (kitchen staff ?) brought another piece of chicken without us saying anything because they didn't feel like we had received our proper portion.

Yelp
Overall a pretty average experience. It took a bit for the server to get to us. They must be short staffed. We waited so long my wife and kids agreed... if no one acknowledged us after 15mins we would just walk out. Luckily 11min later. A server came to get our order. The food is really expensive. For grits and a chicken sandwich and 2 adult beverages. It cost $75! That's included tax, tip and $2 credit card surcharge. Food was decent. Nothing exceptional. Atmosphere was a a battle between a hip restaurant and a club. There was a Noel spirits promotion that day. So maybe it's not a fair shake at the true atmosphere here.

Yelp
Went here for a friend's graduation lunch. Definitely a very popular place, but we were able to get a same day reservation online so that was great. You have to find street parking, but there was plenty of space available. It was definitely a busy day at the restaurant. Got to sit outside while we ate which was nice. We did have to change seats because some of their outdoor seating was a bit uncomfortable. Service was a bit slow, but there were a few big parties that day and it's graduation weekend. Tried the frose which was very sweet and tasty. As well as the shrimp jerk tacos which had a good flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
I really like the flavor combination on the brussels sprouts. It was something completely different than I used to and I found myself almost eating all of them before my food came out. I did go with the fish and it was extremely flavorful. I didn't like the grits. It just felt too plain.
google avatar

Brianna G.

Yelp
Cute spot for brunch! Bourdin balls were delish. Option for bottomless mimosas. Outdoor seating area was lovely but there were a ton of annoying flies.
google avatar

Henri P.

Yelp
The server was awesome! He got gumbo and loved it. The ambience was on point. The key lime pie I wouldn't do again. It was good just not one of the best desserts I've gotten while here

Yelp
This was a spontaneous drop-in because we were feeling a bit peckish after 4 hours at the WWII Museum.it looked like a fun place for a drink and a bite. So glad we stopped by. Our service was excellent, the food and drinks were good, and the vibe was so great. Sparkles was our server and she was so friendly and helpful. She answered our questions with patience and was totally cool when one of our friends just appeared without warning. The blue drank was delicious and huge, although the Frose and the peach tea drink were good alternatives too. We paired our excellent drinks with the fried gulf shrimp plate, the shrimp and grits, and the fries. Everything was really good - the fried shrimp were so tasty i kept stealing them from my friends. Two entrees and the fries were enough to feed our group of 4. The place was clean, bright, and colorful and just felt homey and fun. I'm glad to add this to my list of fun places to drop in to when in NOLA.

Yelp
We chose Flamingo-A-Go-Go based on the name and didn't make reservations since we were watching parades and didn't know when we would be done. There was a 3hour wait without a res, but the bar was wide open, so we snagged a seat there. It's worth pointing out that it was raining so the patio was closed, leading to longer wait times, but I do suggest a reservation if you want a table. The bar experience was great. Since the weather was so dreary, we absolutely lived it up, trying all kinds of cocktails and snacks. There were several cocktails on special featuring King Cake vodka, so I may have tried a couple of those, while my husband got the Blue Drink on tap, that arrived in a carafe and lasted him through our time there. Get the Blasted Brussels Sprouts with pepper jelly glaze, roasted corn, sesame seeds. One of the best things I ate on this trip. We also both got the Gogo Po'boy with ried gulf shrimp, red pepper aioli, lettuce, tomato and lemon on french bread. It was fabulous, and so were the fries. Loved the space and the vibe. Service was excellent and we had so much fun.

Yelp
After my incredible experience here on my last trip, it immediately made the list of must visit spots on my return trip 3 years later. At first, I was super bummed to see that my amazing breakfast dish of fried chicken with white gravy and eggs was off the menu but I ended up loving the southern fried chicken salad with a side of garlic fries and garlic parmesan chicken bites. I'm a sucker for good ranch and the ranch here hit the spot. The salad also had most of my favorite toppings (except for the bacon, which I removed as a non-pork eater). Adding a hard boiled egg would have made it perfect. We added bottomless drinks to our meal and enjoyed a mix of mimosas, froses and margaritas that our waitress just kept coming. The restaurant has several fun photo ops that are perfect for girls day out!

Yelp
This restaurant is such a good spot for a brunch stop! Despite it being Saturday morning our service was great. The food was delish and affordable. Definitely a go to for a tourist stop!
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots for late night bites! We arrived just in time to be seated with no wait time! Our server was Great! I think I was most excited about the nice dining area, especially in this summer heat ! I got my go-to favorite Shrimp A Go Go! The perfect blend of sweet and savory!
google avatar

Gerald F.

Yelp
Flamingo a go-go is FUN, FUN, AND MORE FUN. The sushi salad had fresh greens, cucumbers, pickled red onions and guacamole whip on top that was very good. (Suggest wasabi be added to guacamole and sesame dressing.) Was huge! Fresh. My Bro had eggs, bacon, and fries. The outside is the bomb. Trendy millennial and x place. 400' from the WWII museum. I visited with my brother. Our visit was during this years Jazz Fest.

Jillian S.

Yelp
Took so long and the food was mid. The service was so slow but the server was nice I guess

Katy G.

Yelp
Tyesha was an exceptional waitress. Our food was phenomenal and Tyesha makes me never want to eat at another restaurant ever again. It filled us up and left us wanting almost more? Amazing. 10/10. Will be coming again
google avatar

Marissa J.

Yelp
This place is perfect for people looking to do bottomless mimosas and fun Sunday brunches. I will say there is a lot on the menu and it is not all brunch. Our service was a little slow, but I don't blame our waitress, there were just some really big parties. The good thing is if you're looking for a place for a large party this place is perfect. my food was decent. We also got brussels sprouts which were really good and flavorful. My friend said she really enjoyed the shrimp and grits and that they were very flavorful.
google avatar

Darvy S.

Yelp
The staff are so friendly and demure . I love coming here for great vibes #selfcare the food is amazing here.
google avatar

Yelp
Our bar server was awesome! She said she was "out of her comfort zone" but you would never know! Excellent T knowledge of the menu and made great drinks! Fun atmosphere! Tap cooler was warm, but life happens! Give it a"a go go".
google avatar

Lexi A.

Yelp
Love the fried chicken appetizer and the gumbo and the bacon egg n cheese sandwich...we got there in time to order bottomless mimosas which were great...would definitely go back! The servers were nice too!

Yelp
Flamingo A Go Go is the place to go to I hadn't been since 2019 and they haven't missed a beat, only gotten better. Parking is based all around the area and there is also a paid parking lot, directly across the street. Upon entry I was immediately greeted by the hostess and offered a table or the option of bar seating. I chose the bar seating. The restaurant was open for only 2 minutes, but everyone was on "go go" . The bartender immediately informed me of the day's special and provided me a menu. I had previously viewed the food options online and was quick to order. The in store menu was very accurate to the online options. I decided to get the Jerk'd chicken burrito and sweet potato fries. The food was delivered quickly and was bang for my buck. The burrito was very precise in its deliciousness and packed with chicken. The waffle fries were very delicious! The bartender checked on me periodically and was very refreshing to talk to. She had the perfect balance of giving me space, but also being ready to assist. I'll definitely make this a regular haunt.

Yelp
Stopped in as part of a convention. Friendly service. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Wife had shrimp and grits, I had Taste of New Orleans. Frosee and Dark Side to drink. Worth a visit to check it out. Great key lime for dessert.
google avatar

Aaron H.

Yelp
First, We sat out back under a tree cover that was very cool and comfortable. The teenage girls devoured the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Bites. The wife and got the Epic Fries which were so damn good I had to cut myself short so I could enjoy my Taste of New Orleans entree which was great! The Go-Go sauce is fantastic on the chicken sandwich which was juicy and perfectly fried. We had a great time!! And lastly our server AJ was fantastic!!
google avatar

Casey S.

Yelp
Food was good, and service was quick and friendly. Wouldn't say it was exceptional in any way, but definitely a pleasant experience. Outside seating is available and comfortable.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant while on vacation with friends for the weekend. The ambiance is very colorful, picturesque, and flamingo themed! However, our server wasn't the most friendly or attentive and it took a while for our food to come out :( Pepper Jack Boudin Bombers 10/10: they were so flavorful! Crispy on the outside and well seasoned/soft on the inside. The jalapeño ranch added to the flavor. I would only come back for these lol. Smoked Gouda Corn Grits and Gulf Shrimp 7/10: the shrimp had a great savory flavor, topped with tomatoes and corn. The sauce on top was tomato based but, not in an overpowering type of way lol. The grits looked like they were instant and had no gouda taste. Gumbo 6/10: Coming to NOLA I was excited to try authentic gumbo. It wasn't bad but I was a little disappointed, I've had better in my home state. It definitely needed some salt.

Yelp
This location was away down the craziness of the French quarter and bourbon street. Much bigger location and less traffic. Very cute place. Very colorful. Plenty of seating room inside and outside. They ask you when you come in where you want to sit. I made reservations for 2. I got there a few minutes early and told been my name. She must not have took note because I got a message from OpenTable saying that I didn't show up. I messaged back saying that I was there. We got the queso dip, a side of bacon, boutin bites and the Alfredo pasta. The queso dip was really good. The side of bacon only came with 2 strips so had to order two orders. Boutin bites were delicious. I don't know why I thought it was going to have cheese isn't them but they had cheese and rice and some other flavors. Really good. I also got the Alfredo pasta. It was good but I noticed my plate was dusty on the inside. By the time I noticed, it was too late and I had already stirred my food.
google avatar

Desi B.

Yelp
This place is a go. Our server was super nice and personable. Kept our glasses full for bottomless and party happy. It was a vibe. Our party enjoyed themselves and the food. Boyfriend ordered a burger with extra patty, they named it the Henry burger lol. It was huge. Realize we had too much fun to take photos but I will always remember this place. We walked from the French quarter to here and it was worth it. We will be back and bring more people. Best part is Tuesdays they have $8 frozes, I will have to try next time.
google avatar

Paige A.

Yelp
Flamingo a NO GO! So many bad things. Terrible service, terrible management, terrible food. We should've known when we walked in and the place was empty at prime meal time on a Friday this place would be awful. It took us 45minutes to get our order in. Then took 2 hrs to get our food. Then another 45 minutes just to pay. The food was terrible. I'm a Louisianian who lives in Texas, I've had better gumbo in Texas. My friend's salad was slimy and old. She politely sent it back. They were suppose to bring her red beans and rice which they never brought. The manager himself was suppose to do so. Clearly the terrible service trickles down from the top. Others never received drinks they ordered. The food was very over priced. There are much better establishments in Nola with much better food, prices, and service.
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
I went to brunch here for a bachelorette trip and it's definitely a classic brunch spot. It was super spacious and our server was very helpful. I tried the chicken n waffles which I would say was dry on its own but better with a good serving of maple syrup. We also got bottomless mimosas which can be added to an entree for $18 so a pretty good deal. We also took pictures at the photo booth and it was easy to get the pictures. Overall, I would say it's a pretty good brunch spot!
google avatar

Trisha S.

Yelp
Came here for a Sunday brunch on Mother's Day after a night out with friends for a bachelorette party and unfortunately it's not vegetarian friendly at all :-(. The review is not a reflection of the service, as the servers were super friendly and attentive. The menu just has about one vegetarian option and that's it. I ended up ordering two sides: the smoked gouda grits which had absolutely no flavor and the garlic fries which were standard and delicious. I ended up replacing the grits with the Brussel sprouts which were good

TE L.

Yelp
Literally had to run out from all the mice! We did not even order. The staff acted like it was not an issue!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!
google avatar

Penny M.

Yelp
Really nice ambience, rather large patio deck, dining. Lots of options on the menu and delicious cocktails. Service was slow, although we had a larger group, there was no one else in the restaurant and the server took a really long time to come and take our orders.
google avatar

Mary Ellen B.

Yelp
We were recommended this by a friend. Restaurant interior was very clean and appealing to the eyes. Our server was very helpful. He went through a few menu options with me to help me place my order. I went with the patty melt and my mom got the shrimp and grits. The patty melt was delicious. It was a pretty big portion, so I could not finish it. I was not a fan of the shrimp and grits (it's just not a dish I enjoy) but my mom loved them. The best part was definitely the fries that came with my patty melt. So buttery and garlicky that they almost melted in your mouth. Was definitely one of my favorite meals I had while visiting New Orleans!!
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
This is my second time trying this restuarant. The vibes are cool and the ambiance is Miami like. The three stars are for the experience. The food was not good at all. I tried the shrimp and grits and the grits were very grainy and undercooked. The over all dish was lacking flavor and depth. Not much more to say besides disappointing.
google avatar

Lesa T.

Yelp
The outdoor patio dining is so nice! Lots of umbrellas, TVs for football games. Inside bar area is ample and many TVs. The frose was my favorite refreshing frozen beverage and grabbed one to go too! We ate breakfast and dinner here! Food was seasoned so well! Family and fur baby friendly (with their own menu).
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
While the restaurant is nice and the atmosphere is good, the service was terrible and the food was just ok, although it is possible it had been sitting under the warmers for quite some time. We waited an hour and half before the food came out despite us asking about it several times. No sense of urgency from the server. Based on that experience I wouldn't go back.
google avatar

Khristina S.

Yelp
A great place for brunch upon arrival to the Big Easy. My friends & I originally planned to indulge in the bottomless mimosas along with our brunch, but we got distracted LOL My friend enjoyed the frozen Pineapple Upside Down slush which I happily enjoyed a sip of. I ordered the Peachy Mule, Pepperjack Boudin Bombers (thanks Yelp for the free appetizer!), Bronzed Redfish with Garlic Butter, Grilled Lemon, Smothered Collards & Grits and shared the Eye-opener burger. Everything was tasty and made for the perfect start for a short tour of NOLA. While enjoying brunch, we saw celebrations of birthdays and a baby shower as well as others stopping to enjoy brunch too. This place was hoppin'!
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
Dogs can be out on the patio and it's cute. Food is meh. Got the sampler and it was decent. Not great. Jambalaya was spicy.
google avatar

Peyton F.

Yelp
The food here was good. I really enjoyed the brussels sprouts, the corn with them really made them delicious. We went during happy hour to try some of their frozen drinks but unfortunately all of the frozen machines were down except for margarita but that one didn't qualify under happy hour so that was a bit disappointing.
google avatar

Ada M.

Yelp
Food was pretty good! Priced similar to other places in the area. The atmosphere wasn't as cutesy as I expected based on their website/social medias. But service was good and drinks were yummy!
google avatar

Tiara S.

Yelp
Listen! This was the best brunch experience I've had in New Orleans all weekend! The music was great. The vibe is chill, and laid back. Our server, Sean (sp) was super nice and friendly. He gave drink recommendations that turned out great. I ordered shrimp and grits and the hibiscus mule. Both were full of flavor and are definitely worth coming back for! This is definitely a spot that I added to my must visit every time I am in town.
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
I've probably tried almost everything on the menu now and I'm not disappointed. My usual day at this restaurant is on a Sunday. I sit outside and love the vibe. The service is always friendly and fast. The food is always hot and tasty and the drinks will have you satisfied. Love this place.
google avatar

Angelica N.

Yelp
Splendid service, lovely waitstaff (especially Gabby), and amazing food. The atmosphere was fun and the crowd definitely skewed younger. It's a more casual vibe more than anything.

Catalina Z.

Yelp
The atmosphere was cool and colorful. I ordered the California dreaming omelet which was HUGE and delicious! (Couldn't finish it). I was really looking forward to the garlic fries, but they were submerged in butter and too salty. The chicken Parmesan bites were disappointing as well. They were also submerged in butter with Parmesan cheese tossed on top, not fully melted and no sauce. Overall, the other food looked delicious, maybe I just wasn't so lucky this time.

Margie Z.

Yelp
Stopped in after a day of exploring New Orleans. The outdoor patio was spacious and Cynthia R was a wonderful waitress. Enjoyed the Thursday drink specials. Bought a tank top and Ashley P. Went above and beyond to find the shirt and size I requested. Great place.
google avatar

Amber J.

Yelp
Flamingo A-Go-Go is always a vibe every time I visit New Orleans. They have the best Froses in my town. They also have bottomless mimosas. My absolute favorite menu item is the jerk chicken tacos. The dish has a ton of flavor and pairs perfectly with queso. The staff was friendly and did a great job with catering to our party.
google avatar

Marissa L.

Yelp
Ambiance was fun for all. Drinks were food. I would come back next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Mandi D.

Yelp
The bartender was very friendly and attentive. Great drink deals on happy hour. Cute and clean, indoor and outdoor seating. Maybe I ordered the wrong snack - fried shrimp with crunchy macadamia nuts? The sauce was just ok, weird combination of ingredients, shrimp were decent size for popcorn.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
Great outdoor space for bottomless brunch with choice of frose (which is delicious), mimosas or bloody Mary's on the weekends! I'm a vegan so the food choices can be limiting but they were about what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Doesn't blow your socks off but is good. My partner gets the shrimp po boy and has always raved about it. Service is usually great and the drinks as delicious.
