"Flat Patties, a burger joint currently operating at 33 Brattle St., Cambridge, is expected to close or move due to anticipated rent increase. The establishment's sales were not strong enough to account for the rent spikes imposed by the property owner, Asana Partners." - Terrence Doyle

Probably one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. I haven't had a decent cheeseburger in a while, until I saw this place. I was just wandering around Harvard Square, and all of a sudden, I was hungry. There's many burger places in Harvard Square, but for some reason, I chose Flat Patties. However, I do not regret it at all. When you're waiting for your food, the entire kitchen is right in front of you. It's always nice to when fast food places have that. As for the cheeseburger, the patties are really good. The bun is different than what I usually have, but it's actually pretty good. Their special sauce is also pretty good; I'm not sure what it actually is, but it's the icing on the cake !

We had mushroom burger, fish burger and pulled pork burger. They were quality for a quick lunch. I like the pulled pork and fish better.

Had a burger for lunch here and was surprised at how good it was. Space is pretty tight. They def need to clean whatever vent this is, looks downright gnarly. I’d come back!

Food's fine and you can add a bunch of different toppings (like onions, relish, pickles) yourself to make it how you like it. But, what makes this place special is that the food is a great value (i.e. cheap), served quick, in a cool environment with outdoor seating available. You can get a burger, fries, and a soda for just a bit over $8. Can't beat that. There's also a bathroom available for customers.

Perfect priced and very fulfilling. Clean place and people are very respectful. Several burger and sandwich options. There's an upstairs and downstairs both of which are great choices to eat. Definitely recommend!

My favorite burger place in Boston that i’ve visited countless times and it also serves juicy hot dogs in a delicious and perfectly toasted bun. You really can’t go wrong.

Excellent option! Burgers are fantastic (keep in mind, only cooked to medium) and the menu has a pretty solid selection, including some vegetarian options. The prices are phenomenal for what I can tell, for Boston in general, especially for what you get. Today was my second visit and I am as pleased as the first. I would definitely return again. Today, four of us (4 burgers all with either fries or onion rings, and 4 bottled drinks was $50 including an $8 tip (probably more than necessary). Very close to The Sinclair and Club Passim, Harvard, etc. just a couple minute walk. Nearby parking lot as well! All around great, including location for that area.
