An exceptional dining experience! The pizza was hands-down one of the best I've ever had - perfectly baked, with a delightful melt-in-your-mouth texture and just the right amount of toppings. Every bite was a delight! The service was top-notch, with impeccable courtesy from the staff. It was a truly perfect dinner. I'm already looking forward to coming back soon!

The town of Paia is great for shopping and has several restaurants. Flatbread appears to be an East Coast chain that either started or migrated here. They specialize in wood fired pizzas. Extra toppings for a build your own are $6.25/each. Party of 2 got a large 2 topping pizza with one soda that set us back $50 with tip. The pizza is fine. Great crust, light on the sauce, generous with the expensive toppings, but the center of the pizza was too soft for my liking. The vibe is very cool. We didn't try any other pizza on the island so as far as I can tell, this could be the best pizza available.

Absolutely loved our visit to Flatbread Company! Everything from start to finish was top-notch. Franz, our server, was super on point — friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. All of the food was incredibly fresh and delicious, with that perfect local beach vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The atmosphere was laid-back yet lively, and it really felt like a true Maui experience. Franz even went above and beyond by bringing us fresh iced tea for the road, which was such a thoughtful touch. If you’re looking for great service, fresh food, and a chill local vibe, Flatbread Company is a must. Highly recommend!

Stopped here after the hike at poli poli and waihou springs. Paia was packed and had to circle through twice to get a spot in public parking but was worth it. The pizza was delicious and my husband says lemonade tasted fresh. For dessert we split the brownie that comes with two scoops of ice cream. No complaints....off up the road to Hookipa Beach.

The pizza was fantastic. The dough was crisp but not crunchy. They offer organic and vegan options. They serve salads with produce from local farms. They make their own dressings and sauces. We had the chicken bacon salad, pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, and veggie pizza with vegan cheese. Everyone enjoyed it. We highly recommend Flatbread.

I’ve been to Flatbread multiple times, and it never disappoints! While the family shops, I head straight there—it’s become my go-to spot. The pizza is consistently delicious: fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and great flavor combinations. Honestly, it might be in my top 5 pizzas of all time. The service is always friendly and welcoming, while in Maui I put this as a must do...a day in Paia for shopping and pizza.

Flatbread does a lot of good for the Maui community by hosting non-profit organizations and donating a percentage of sales to them on certain nights; a rarity these days. The menu theme is free-range, natural, organic, and hippie-like. ATMOSPHERE: Busy, loud, energetic. The pizza oven is up front near some tables and can be uncomfortably hot if you're seated near as this place has no a/c. It's fun to watch the pizzas being cooked but I'd avoid sitting near there. A small bar is off to the side. The back room seating area has a mosquito problem especially at the tables near the windows due to heavy foliage and possibly unseen standing water? Upstairs is a nice cozy option with a few tables and is quieter. Seating is a mix of bar seating, high tops, regular seats, booths, and big picnic-style tables for large parties/groups. FOOD: No Boundaries Salad Lettuce with shredded papaya and carrots tossed in a pineapple vinaigrette dressing. I'm not a pineapple fan but love the dressing! Got mine loaded with kalamata olives, red bells, mushrooms, sun-dried & regular tomatoes, avocado, rosemary, and Parmesan cheese. Delish! Pepperoni & Mushroom Pizza My favorite pie. Simply topped with tomato sauce, pepperoni & mushrooms with mozzarella & Parmesan cheese. The greatest tasting combo! Flatbread for all pizzas are thin, crunchy & chewy. Coevolution Pizza My second fave. Goat cheese, kalamata olives, cheese, sun-dried tomatoes & rosemary. Add tomato sauce for extra flavor. Homemade Sausage Pizza My third fave pizza. Sausage, mushrooms, onions, and mozzarella. Again, add tomato sauce for extra flavor. Broccoli & Potato Pizza (special of the night) Broccoli, potatoes, cheddar, mozzarella & parmesean cheeses and herbs. Good but not the greatest as potatoes on a pizza were odd and heavy. Go with a pie that's already on the menu. PIZZA TIP: Make sure to add tomato sauce to the pizza (some don't come with it so ask your server) which adds a ton of flavor. Even the most odd-sounding topping combos are delish! DESSERT: Warm Banana Bread Ala mode with vanilla, chocolate or coconut ice cream. Highly recommended. Brownie & Ice Cream Small square of a homemade brownie with no nuts (unfortunately) and two scoops of ice cream (choice of vanilla, coconut or chocolate.) Plantain Split Not a fan of plantains but tried it anyway. Didn't care for the taste of it. Why not use a traditional banana? Loved the ice cream! RESERVATIONS: Only taken for parties of 10+, but they do offer 1-hour call-ahead seating for smaller parties. SERVICE: Fast & normally very friendly. OVERALL: Good pizzas, lively vibe, very touristy.

Can’t even explain how incredible this place is, the pizzas never disappoint. Probably the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Our family has been coming here for years. It’s very kid-friendly, and the staff is always so upbeat and kind. Truly one of the best spots in Maui. You can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas. They also offer gluten-free crust for celiac, and they give dough to little ones to play with, which is such a thoughtful touch.

We had just completed the road to Hana and were looking for a place to eat. We first tried Mama's Fish House but learned you need a reservation. Well that was the best thing that happened to us because we stumbled across this place. We were greeted by the host who informed us that we came to the right place as they have the best flatbread pizza on the island. He wasn't kidding!! The waitress took our order for a sausage and bacon large pizza. In under 15 minutes we were eating the best thing crust pizza I have had in a while. This is a must stop for a quick, simple and reasonably priced meal. I shall return!!

Super enjoyable experience! Creative. Delicious. Festive environment. Great service. The open kitchen was a great way to showcase everyone slaying their respective jobs. Big props to the pizza oven chef. Incredible job baking those pies to perfection! Also loved the unique cover art on every menu. And the walls. Had the Mopsy's Kalua Pie with chicken ~ and incredible mango BBQ sauce! Hoovered it down so quickly we had to get the carne special with tomato sauce, bacon, arugula and HOT honey. We'd been on the hunt for the best mai tai during our entire trip and we visited the Flatbread Company for our final dinner. Not only did their mai tai not disappoint, it earned high marks for us as one of the best overall during our time in Maui and Moloka'i.

Great atmosphere, wonderful waitstaff, being able to watch the pizzas being made... We had to wait 40 minutes for a table but had quick and friendly service. LOVE that this restaurant offered vegan as well as gluten free options. I couldn't tell that the gf crust was any different than a stretched dough. SO GREAT!

We came to this place about two years ago and they had a special pizza. It was a Caesar salad special. It left enough of an impression that we came back here tonight. We bought a pepperoni/mushroom pizza. It was excellent! I also need to mention that the staff was on point. They were hustling to the degree that I actually had to ask our waitress if they are somehow incentivized to work so hard. She said that they weren't. They just really care about their customer's experience. We'll be back here again soon!

If you're in Paia or heading to the Road to Hāna, this is a great spot to grab a bite! The pizza was fantastic, with amazing vegetarian options. All the pizzas are customizable, and the servers are super helpful in guiding you. I definitely recommend stopping by! Bdw, I loved their menu covers!!!!!

We love this place - the restaurant is so unique and beautiful, and the food never misses. 3 people split a large pizza.

The pizza was AMAZING! Even the cheesecake. Our waiter was an extremely pleasant human being with an awesome attitude which elevated our experience even more. Got the lilikoi cheesecake with haupia ice cream (highly recommend) and a half and half pizza. The pesto pizza was my favorite. The food was so good that I was upset when I felt full because I wanted to keep eating! Only downside was that the chairs are a bit uncomfortable but other than that, I had a great experience. Our waitress even took the extra step to ask if I preferred to pack my take out in a pizza box or foil then proceeded to pack it up for us.

Thin, crisp, oven-roasted pizza with organic, naturally sourced ingredients. Large was big enough to feed 3 comfortably. Salad was all locally grown farm ingredients, a little pricy and not heavy-handed with the ingredients, but still fresh nonetheless. Parking is tough here, it's either a free lot or paid street parking. Can get busy! Great servers and the food came out quickly!

The Pele pesto is always delicious. It is saturated with oil and my hands always turn black from holding the slices. Service was less than desirable and leaves me hesitant to dine in after years of going here. Waiter shift change or low staffing?! Either way, check in to make sure we got what we need is important for patrons. I could go on complaining about this and that but my review grade will match my experience. The second space dining is very dirty. Everything is so dusty and needs to be cleaned. Kinda gross thinking about it and seeing while eating food. Check out that fan. I'm not sure I'll be back at this point. Two stars for my last visit.

Highly recommend this place. Just a very welcoming and warm place. Solid flatbreads/pies, which you can go 50/50 to mix and match. The drinks are solid, nothing fancy but get the job done. Most importantly the staff is super nice. Big shout out to Franz for taking good care of us and giving that Ohana treatment. Will 100% come back!

Had a casual, warm ambiance. Our waiter was very friendly. The kalua pork pie flatbread was great, the balance between the savoury pork and the sweet mango bbq sauce was amazing! The crust was a little too crispy for my taste though.

Came here on the recommendation of "Yelp's Chief Pizza Officer" after reading the Yelp blog post. After hearing about their "Mopsy" pie with slow-cooked free-range kalua pork shoulder, homemade mango BBQ sauce, organic red onions, fresh pineapple, goat cheese, mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and garlic oil, I knew I HAD to come here for dinner at least one night I was visiting the island to try this pizza. My friends and I ordered one Mopsy and Taco pie. Both of them were good, but that Mopsy pie ... BAYBEEE it was delicious. We couldn't get enough, tbh we wish we had ordered two of them instead of the taco pie, actually we did try to order another one but the kitchen was closed, and they were still doing dessert. The lilikoi cheesecake was delicious. I will say be wary that it's more on the tart side; however, I still enjoyed it. All in all, I will say that The Flatbread Company lived up to its expectations of the best pizza on the island and it was well worth the 30-minute drive from Kihei to Paia.

We've been coming here for at least over a 12 years and absolutely love it. Their menu is simple: great selection of flat bread pizza and an awesome mixed greens salad. There's a huge salad that can feed eight or share the individual between two. The flatbread is thin, has crunch and a bit of bite. Not overloaded on the toppings making it very balanced. I love everything from their "Jay's Heart" which is a combination of cheeses and garlic to their pepperoni and black olives and Pele Pesto. The servers are very attentive and you'll never have a low water glass. The place is very kitschy with a rustic surfer feel that is part indoor and part semi-open air. It's a bit dark inside but it works.

I'm not a huge fan of pizza but these pizzas were thin crusted and amazing! The Paia Bay pizza with caramelized onions and mushrooms was the best!! I usually never touch cheese only pizzas, but Jay's Heart cheese and herbs pizza was one of the best cheese pizzas I've had.

Third time is a charm. We visit this place whenever we're back in Maui. They're pretty damn good.

3.5 stars. I don't think this place is bad by any means- but a pizza is a pizza and this place in my experience is wildly overhyped. There is nothing wrong with the pizza but why people drool over it when it's pretty standard I have not yet been able to figure out. The last time I ordered takeout one of the pizzas crust was really burnt. A nice and convenient place to sit and eat but nothing out of this world as I'm always told.

Great service, our girl Amanda did a good job. She recommended us the half and half pizza, so we got to try more things. I liked the pineapple one, he liked the pepperoni pizza, it worked out great. The salad was fresh, the passion fruit cheesecake was really worthy, nice real passion fruit and real cream and a big scoop of vanilla ice cream! Great price too!

Wow 10 years later and I'm still going to rave about Flatbread in Paia. We placed an order for takeout to eat on the drive up to Haleakala and I'd highly recommend doing so. We got two large pies! My fav the Mopsy's Kalua Pork Pie and tried the Pele Pesto. They are definitely on the expensive side for pizzas but the quality of ingredients and flavor is worth it in my opinion. Service was excellent and my pizzas were ready to pick up. It is a bit difficult trying to find parking so I ran out of the car to pick em up. We scarfed down both pizzas like there was no tomorrow and were pleased with both. The crust was also sooo good, nothing went to waste. Mmm I'm already thinking about the pizzas, open one in LA please!!!

A favorite for everyone. You can never go wrong with flatbread. We are always coming back here! I love the mopsey pizza especially but last night we tried the chicken ceasar, pesto, and italian sausage. They all blew us away!!! The atmosphere is laid back and everyone who works here is always so kind. The service is great. Will forever recommend coming here! :)

We stopped here for lunch while staying in Maui. We needed a break from the super touristy areas and came here. I had ate here previously and remember it being super yummy. It was just as good! We had the large pizza that was 1/2 moppy chicken and 1/2 Mediterranean. The pizza was absolutely delicious. We devoured it! Our server (Fran) recommended the coconut rum mojito. We loved it!! You gotta try it. The parking situation is a little tough. It's basically street parking. If you don't know how to parallel park, you might be in trouble. Anyway, on your next trip to Maui make sure to stop here.

The pizza was delicious, a thin and crispy crust. We had the Maui themed pizza and all loved it. Our service was quick and the overall vibe was chill. We would stop by again for sure.

pizzas are made of locally sourced ingredients! the kalua pie was fiiiire. cocktails were great too - I got the pomegranate mojito & loved that it didn't just taste like straight alcohol. very spacious inside and plenty of room for big parties.

Now wait a dang minute. I had no idea that the Flatbread Company was a chain restaurant! While shopping in Paia we decided to pop in for a late lunch. Once inside we were seating quickly and we were able to get some ice cold drinks on the very hot day. The full bar offered something for everyone. We love a good Maui Brewing option, but they also had NA options- mmm love a good root beer float once in a blue moon. Pizza wise we did the Mopsy's Kalua Pork (with pork, otherwise you can do chicken) and the Cheese & Herb. The Mopsy's was super flavorful. Between the mango BBQ sauce and the pineapple, each slice was delicious. I wish the pineapple pieces were a little smaller, some of the bites towards the end were missing toppings. The Cheese & Herb is great if you're looking for some cheese bread. The garlic oil was uh so tasty! We probably ate more of that than the actual pizza we ordered. We had a great time, it did take about 15 minutes for our waitress to bring us a check, but understanding your on island time makes it less frustrating. We'll be back- or we'll check out other locations as well!

Pretty awesome pizza for the area. Have soooo many diff styles of pies and flatbreads with or without a traditional red sauce. Awesome local beer was perfect too and nice service the entire time. It's located in the little town of Paia right by the public parking lot you can use to walk across the street or walk around the shops

This was a fun casual place to eat lunch. Service was friendly and quick. I really enjoyed the ginger mojito and fennel sausage pizza (and I normally dislike sausage). I would come back for sure.

This place was amazing! After a long day returning from Hana, our family was starving. I found this place on the map and thought, you can't go wrong with flatbread. We got there and the atmosphere was great! Quaint little place with a real homey vibe. Zac was our server. Nice guy seemed to be pretty on top of things. My daughter was feeling a bit car sick so she asked for a ginger ale. He saw what was going on and brought her candied ginger along with her ginger ale which immediately started her off on the right foot! We ordered our pizzas and because I ordered jalapeños, he came back with a little cup of sauce that was home made with Hawaiian chili peppers, and even Carolina reaper peppers. He said since you like hot stuff try this. It was AWESOME, and burned my lips. Just the amount of attention paid by him really made our night. You don't see this type of service all the time! The food was amazing as well. We had 5 flatbreads and each one was as good if not better than the one before! I highly recommend this place for people from 4-80!

April 22, 2024 - We drove from Lahaina to here for an early dinner before heading to the airport... Once inside, it is much larger than it appears. The wood fired baking oven is picture worthy (many others posted pictures). We ordered a half (in house made) Maple Fennel Sausage and a half Mopsy's Kalua pizza. The maple fennel sausage half was outstanding! The Mopsy's Kalua was wonderful, the pork was so tasty, but the fennel sausage pizza (pie) was better! They have a huge beer, wine, specialty cocktail menu too. Nico, thanks for the service and what a small world (Morgan Hill, and Santa Cruz).

Service is great (Annie ) was very nice to talk to and makes really good drinks! We got the Mospy pizza with pork and it was our favorite. Thanks guys !

Stopped in here one day for lunch as we were staying in Paia. The staff is super friendly and really explain the menu items in depth. The pizza was superb. I would put this place, Mama's and the Fish Market as the 3 top food stops in Paia.

Aaaannnddddd... 10 years later we are back! (Well we eat here literally every time we come to Maui haha) Ordered chef special southwest vegetarian pizza and pesto vegetarian pizza. Pesto Pizza needed a bit more pesto in it to be called pesto pizza, was tasty nonetheless... But the star of the evening was the chef special southwestern pizza!!! Perfect amount of everything in it! So glad they still maintain amazing and super fast service and still serve super yummy pizza even after 10 years!! Will be back, for sure!

We stopped in on a whim recommendation from a shop and have been delighted. The atmosphere is fun and casual. The food was great and the service too. Love coming here! It's a staple of Paia and I bring family/friends when they come to visit us. There are parking lots nearby and street parking, but be careful it gets busy around the usual dining hours and weekends, etc. They have a lot of seating inside, so come on in! We also order takeout, which is great to grab and walk over to the beach just 5 minutes away. I recently ordered their garlic/potato veggie pizza and it was delicious! So fresh and tasty. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfort eatery with casual vibes and delicious ingredients!

If you come to Maui, you have to try this place. Their flatbread is filling without leaving you bloated. All their ingredients are fresh and delicious. We ordered the large salad to share and we were able to serve ourselves second portions. The gentleman that attended us was super helpful and went over the menu several times, answering all our touristy questions. They also have a variety of sauces! Nice open seating and relaxing atmosphere. For 7 of us we ordered 2 pizzas and left satisfied. I'd definitely come back here for a great meal and customer service.

We were only in Maui for 6 hours and we spent most of our time in Paia. Someone suggested we stop in at Flatbread and we're so happy we did. They truly strive to provide you with a creative menu and use only quality ingredients. We sat at the bar and ordered a large flatbread but we were able to do a half and half. (See picture for our combination- half "Baked Potato" half "Beets & Blue" ) The crust of the pizza itself is to die for very fresh and has such a robust flavor the crust is thin but not too thin it was perfect. The combination of flavors is something we have never had before it was so unique and delicious. The inside is very cool and they hand out papers and crayons if you want to make a menu cover. Definitely check it out you will not be disappointed.

Every trip to Maui, over the past 10 years or so, MUST include a visit to Flatbread Company, and today's visit did not disappoint. Our friendly server, Amy, was outgoing and showed a genuine interest while conversing with us. Our pepperoni and mushroom pizza was exquisite, with the flavors blending so perfectly, it was difficult to stop eating, without "just one more bite. I highly recommend making this place a "must do," on YOUR next visit to Maui.

I ordered takeout here due to their high ratings. The high ratings are deserved! My pesto flatbread was delicious. I had only planned on eating half. But it was SO GOOD, I ate it all. Yum yum yum You will not be disappointed!

The service was on point friendly and very at home giving you the Hawaiian welcome!!!! Serve u with a smile ! The warmth of the service is amazing! We arrived an hour right when they about to close but the service was amazing they not in a hurry or making us go right away they have us enjoy every single food we order the flat bread pizza is amazing as they use all natural and local produce!!!

Salad was good and was definitely popular as well. I could see this was going to a lot of tables. Expect some wait time. Seasonal pizza was ok. It was little bit on oily side.

Really delicious! Got two pies and a salad and everything was great. Highly recommend the Mopy's Kalua. Service was also awesome and the place is much bigger than it looks from the outside -- lots of seating. Must be a popular spot as there were people waiting outside before it was even open but I can definitely see why. Will definitely return next time visiting Maui!

Big place, though it doesn't look it. Best thing is you get to go half & half on a large flatbread so we tried the pork and pesto. The pesto was a bit greasy so I preferred the pork with pineapple. We also shared a basic salad with pineapple, which was good with a light dressing. Hit the spot.

I'm a sucker for the classic cheese (Jay's Heart) and their specials also never disappoint. Come by on a Tuesday and support the local community! They donate a percentage of food purchases. They also offer great local beers on tap.

We were in Paia for 7 days and we ate at Flatbreads twice! Once to go and once in house. In house was by far the best because we were able to enjoy the service and the venue. The family style salad was delightful with carrots, and all the delicious veggies. Huge for the entire table. Our flatbread pizzas were so fresh that I don't think I can ever forget this place. So delicious! Our waitress was also fabulous and made excellent suggestions that we loved everything we had. Updated the stars, it should have been 5!

It's so good we had to come 6 again before we left Maui. Came here at 1115, they open at 11, and this place wA already full. The group behind us had to wait for a table to open. We again ordered their mopsy, half and half with chicken vs pork this time. Again it was cooked to perfection. Slightly burnt bottom of the pizza. Pineapple added a nice sweetness to it. It was just as good as the first time when we ordered it. For the 2nd pizza we ordered half and half of the P.E and another of their local flavors. It was ok. But for sure when you come here, ORDER THE MOPSY!!! You won't be sorry!!
