"Flats Burgers is serving some of SF’s most unique smashburgers. The Excelsior pop-up’s lineup is Asian inspired—it’s the only place in the city where you’ll find a flattened longanisa patty topped with banana aioli, and a Korean-influenced version with kimchi and beef smothered in sweet kalbi sauce. It’s all sandwiched inside of a shiny, plump bun that looks like it was freshly polished, and soaks up the meat juices like a sponge. Tater tots and fries round the order out—and be sure to get some extra kimchi aioli for dipping. Flats can be found at Rocks Den daily from 5-9pm. photo credit: Patricia Chang Food Rundown photo credit: Patricia Chang Sarap Manila Our favorite burger on the menu. The house-blended longanisa patty is smashed until caramelized on the edges—it’s a garlicky, salty-sweet masterpiece. K-Pop Slightly over-sweet because of the kalbi sauce, but the kimchi aioli and grilled onions do their best to balance things out. photo credit: Patricia Chang 10 Hunnids As classic as it gets—the double patties are topped with pickles, grilled onions, and thousand island. It’s delicious if you want to keep things simple, but the other burgers are more interesting." - Julia Chen

Google
Flats Burger has quickly become one of my go-to spots for a great meal! My favorite burger is the Sarap Manila with the Cajun fries. Make sure you get it with the egg. Flags Burger is located in Rocks Den. Order yourself a burger and get a drink from the bar. There’s also a pool table here and music. Bring your friends here and enjoy yourself a burger!!! Service is also amazing 5/5 stars!

Google
Hands down, the Sarap Manila Burger at Flats Burgers is incredible! I couldn’t wait to dig in, so sorry about the big bite before the pic. If you’re craving something unique and flavorful, this burger is the one to try. Will definitely be back!

Google
My best bud said they were the “best wings” she’s ever had. Crispy and juicy. The guys are passionate about their product, enthusiastic to serve, and thoughtful about their business. I’ll be back to the Rocks Den where this kitchen is located, mostly for the food.

Yelp
I only ordered the Manila Burger with an egg. It is more on the sweet side as they use Filipino sausage, however, It is the best burger I have ever had as I could not stop taking a bite. I plan to come back to try out more of their menu!

Yelp
If you're in SF, you need to check out Flats Burger inside Rocks Den (open Mon-Tues, 5-9 PM). They specialize in Asian fusion smash burgers, and they don't disappoint. The K-Pop Burger was my favorite--juicy patties with kimchi, creamy kimchi mayo, and kalbi sauce for the perfect smoky, sweet, and spicy combo. The Filipino-Inspired Burger with chicken and beef longganisa patties was packed with rich flavor, and the optional fried egg made it extra indulgent. The Wasa-bush Burger had a great wasabi mayo kick, though I think a pickled cucumber would've balanced it even more. Their sauces--like K-Pop (kimchi mayo), Wasabish (wasabi mayo), and Sarap Manila (banana ketchup mayo)--are all house-made and amazing. Pair your burger with fries, Cajun fries, or tater tots for a perfect meal. The staff is super friendly, and you can taste the care they put into everything. Flats Burger is a hidden gem--definitely worth the trip!

Yelp
Fantastic new Asian inspired burger spot in San Francisco. They're located out of rocks den in the excelsior on Mondays and Tuesdays. Their burgers are unique for sure, but if you're willing to try something new and different I would definitely recommend. The service was on point, a couple of good kids running it. Prices were decent and the overall vibe of the bar was chill. Nothing crazy, good place to get a beer or cocktail and a burger, maybe catch a game. Hit em up!

Yelp
After trying 3 out of the 4, (Wasabi, K-Pop, Manila) I'd rank em in order, 1. Wasabi 2. K-Pop 3. Manila 1. The wasabi burger has a nice unique sauce that gives a slight kick of a wasabi burn through your nostrils, but nothing too overpowering. 10/10 2. The K-pop burger also has an interesting taste, kind of similar to spicy mayo, with a kick of kimchi. 9.5/10 3. The Manila burger is a very interesting and unique concept. I wasn't the biggest fan, but I'd say some who prefer sweet over savory would definitely enjoy this burger. I'd recommend adding an egg! 8.5/10 Overall, the food is dope and some of the best smash burgers in SF

Yelp
I'm sorry but no. The Wasa-bish burger was mid and the patty was bland and not seasoned. The tots tasted burned idk if they were overcooked or deep fried in old oil but it had a burnt after taste. Not sure if I came on an off day but for a $12 burger this was very disappointing.

Yelp
Flat Burger is located in a bar in the mission district. I had forgotten the burger names, but my girlfriend and I had gotten a philipino, korean and japanese inspired smash burger. The food overall was good and two of my favorites were the philipino and korean burger. The philipino burger had longsnjsa and egg. The korean burger has hints of kimchi which helped cut the fattyness of the burger. Usually when I eat smash burgers I get so satiated and overwhelmed by the grease. These burgers however with the addition of their vegtables helped balance it out. I would come back again if I were in the area. 5/5

Yelp
10/10 would get again! This is my third time coming; I've tried the 10 Hunnid, Sarap Manila, and my personal favorite, the K-Pop...each and every burger they have is amazing! Service is fast, no more than 5-10 mins from order to food in your hands. Definitely stop by and give it a try when you have the chance

Yelp
Quite literally the best burgers in the city! Highly recommend trying the Sarap Manila Burger! Also wonderful service from the owners :)

Yelp
Came across this spot a while ago and got the Kimchi burger, and I was hooked on it since. Recently they added the Sarap Manila, which is burger made with longanisa. Never knew how good that could be, but definitely my new favorite there. Spot is pretty chill with comfy seating, pool tables, and alcohol, as this place is located inside the Rock's Den bar. Staff are very friendly as well. Highly recommend giving them a try if you're around the area or visiting the city.

Yelp
Amazing asian inspired burgers and fries with an even better group of owners! Definitely recommend coming out and giving them a try.
