Our 14 Favorite Restaurants In Liberty City - Miami - The Infatuation

"Flavaz is near Liberty City’s core, just a few blocks from the Beans. True to its name, you’re coming here to sample some Bahamian-inspired soul food. If you’re feeling pasta, grab one of their dishes that come topped with conch, chicken, or other proteins. Or, you can stick to the classics and order pork chop or red snapper dinners. Just don’t expect to eat inside—this is a takeout spot." - India Amos, Ryan Pfeffer, Virginia Otazo

From the moment we walked in, Flavaz impressed me with its elegant ambiance and attentive service. The salmon pasta was a true standout, with perfectly cooked pasta, succulent salmon, and a creamy sauce that was simply divine. The conch with shrimp was equally impressive, with tender conch and sweet shrimp in a perfectly seasoned dish. The staff's impeccable service only added to the experience. If you're a seafood lover looking for a memorable dining experience, Flavaz is the place to be.

Had to add to there review section because I was about to skip this place because it didn’t have many reviews. Glad I didn’t, this is a small walk up counter place with a simple menu but EVERYTHING was great. I had the chicken wings with Mac and cheese and collard greens and fries. The restaurant is tucked away from in neighborhood but worth the drive. Would recommend if looking for soul food in the Miami area.

MY FIRST TIME AS A CUSTOMER HERE REVIEW .... The yams 🍠 are not as tasty as they should have been ( no syrup or vanilla) too much cinnamon. The macaroni was not up to par either, the chicken wings were seasoned with the lemon pepper very well,

Stopped here on a quick trip to Miami because I really wanted soul food and this place was highly rated. Once I stopped in the young lady taking the orders was very helpful in helping my select what to eat. She said the fried conch was the most popular item on the menu. I would recommend ordering ahead because the wait was probably about 20 minutes. It is a small lobby without any sitting and you don’t want to sit outside cause it’s 100 degrees. Once I got the food I liked the sides a lot, the Mac & cheese and yams were tasty and a good portion so no complaints there. However the conch tasted rubbery to me I wish I got a different item. They also offer some dessert options they make fresh in store. Definitely worth a 2nd trip to try more menu items.

This place is amazing!!! 🤩 I’m lost for words and that doesn’t happen often!! The food is SO flavorful, fresh and portion generous. Everything is a la carte, but definitely worth it. The salmon, Mac n cheese, green beans 🤤. Please go give them a try! They will not disappoint. The area is a little rough, and it’s a small spot, made for to go orders, but with food that amazing, you will be missing out if you let the area intimidate you! Thank you for an amazing dinner! 🤤🤤

Flavorz is a great takeout option. The food is delicious and well seasoned. I had the combo shrimp and rich behavior wings. The rich behavior wings are lemon pepper on steroids. The shrimp were jumbo shrimp so well worth the upcharge. Tuna macaroni salad was on good but nothing extraordinary. The yams were good , it was well seasoned with cinnamon. You can uber eats or call in. I did check the uber eats menu first and not all the items were on the app. I ended up calling in and the wait would be 25 min. I highly suggest you call in your order. Food was already ready when I arrived. Customer service is A++

Google
wings were good & well seasoned but very small. the mac and cheese was about a 5/10. I paid an extra $1.50 for a ranch for my wings which they didn’t add to the bag. on doordash it said the 8 piece wing came with yellow rice which they also did not add. maybe the service in person is better but based on this experience i would not return.
