I understand it now!!! Flavor Hive is the place to be!! I visited the restaurant this evening for the first time and it was packed with good energy, good vibes and good food. I ordered the chicken and beef bowls with toppings and Hive Sauce. I decided to try the chicken bowl for dinner when I returned home and it was delicious. I was mad at myself for not getting extra Hive Sauce because it was soooo good!! I’m so happy for the visionaries/owners behind this incredible restaurant. I can’t wait to return!!! Here are a few helpful tips: The line moves fast so don’t let the crowd turn you away; it’s worth the wait! There is a parking lot available for guests, but please be mindful of signage to avoid towing. Go and enjoy!!

I revisited this place today, but for the second time in a week, they were out of pita bread. This time I tried the lamb and chicken, but unfortunately found both to be overly salty—especially the chicken and gyro meat. With everything mixed together (meat, sauce, and toppings), the saltiness was overpowering and took away from what could have been a great meal. It was disappointing compared to my first visit, which I had enjoyed much more. Hope they can find better consistency in both ingredients and flavor. 08/02/2025 ———- No pita bread today — rice bowls only. Tried the lamb gyro and beef — both were delicious with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Some people brought their own chips — it actually looked fun. Will try next time.

The food truck service is better than the store. The workers here are stingy with the amount of food they put in my salad bowl. I bring my own bowl every time. Their motto is that “we will feed you” but it doesn’t live up to that hype. I have been a fan of Flavor Hive for the past 1.5 year when they only have ONE food truck in the back of a parking lot. But don’t let stardom get the best of you. Keep up with the service and food quality like you said online. Prices will go up and you need to match that with your service and quality.

Always saw the videos of this nice combination, and for some reason I thought that they were located in New York. One day a video popped up on YouTube and couldn’t believe that the store opened in my old neighborhood. Right away went with my Wife and Son, Glad we did. We ordered the Feast mode of Rice base with Chicken and Falafel( we liked it alot), off course most of the toppings finished with White Sauce, my Son went with Chicken and Meat instead and Hive Sauce ( which he loved). The food is amazing, Service excellent, portions very generous, combination superb. Delicious fresh every thing. Highly recommend you go and enjoy it, for us we know that we’re going back for sure. Also they have Ice cream Shakes and Coffee.

Have been following the food truck for awhile now but never had a chance to go or it was way too crowded. Annandale store is perfect! Food is amazing, I did all meats, beef, chicken, gyro over rice and French fries with the veggies and white/green sauce. Amazing!

This spot always HITS! The flavor is 10/10, they never skimp on the quality or quantity of ingredients. What I love about Flavor Hive, they are always improving their recipes and satisfying their audience. I have visited them multiple times, and since they have first opened - they have made their chicken masala even more flavorful and the green sauce now makes me sweat. I wish they sold their freshly-made Egyptian bread individually because it is insanely good too. I have tried almost everything on their menu (besides the chopped cheese) and satisfied every time. So so so good. And the cherry on top - zabihah halal too!! Can’t wait for their brick and mortar location to open soon!

Went Saturday night ~10:30p Good energy and vibes. Brought our own bag of chips. FYI large bag of chips alone is already ~$5+ at ~1k+ calories, just raising awareness. I'd get the bowl next time.

On my ForYou page on TikTok Flavor Hive popped with a huge announcement. I didn’t have the pleasure of getting their food via the food truck. Went to the newest restaurant in Annandale, VA. The first impression is that the space is gorgeous! There is outdoor seating that has umbrellas to cover you as well as additional seating in the rear. The parking lot is alittle tight, but I would imagine people will park in the United Bank parking lot (after hours only). As a first timer, it took a few minutes to get my barring. Pick your bowl size, protein, and toppings. If you’re hungry as a horse, please pick the feast size. If you’re just a little hungry, please pick the regular size. The portions were HUGE, and the taste was fabulously satisfying and delicious. The cost was reasonable for the quality and quantity of my bowl. They also sell gelato in multiple flavors, and coffee all day. I rate this experience a 10/10 on all levels, and would recommend anyone looking for a flavorful lunch or dinner, please check out Flavor Hive! You will not regret it, enjoy!

Placed an online order through Yelp and stopped by to pick it up. Restaurant was packed with no indication of where to go... an employee helping everyone told me the Annandale location didn't have online ordering. Guess I'll straighten it out later. I'll give 3 stars for now - update when resolved Updated my review to 5 stars. Stopped by to get the order today and had no problem. Portions are twice the size and flavor of similar restaurants and the ingredients are fresh. The employees were welcoming and apologetic to be still setting up at 11:05. Nobody in line seemed to care and customer service was great.

Ambiance: fun clean restaurant Service: friendly staff. It's an open line like Chipotle where you choose your protein and toppings. They add a lot for you so I like that!! Food: fun concept. I think the chips I brought was a bit too salty but the toppings were plentiful. You can get chips or do a bowl instead of bringing in a bag of chips. I did attach the menu so you can see the prices. I should have gotten a bowl with rice. But the portion is huge so I do have a lot of leftovers for lunch. So excited.

Got the Gyro over rice. Was not as generous as what I see on social media. Don't get me wrong, it was enough, but definitely not like on their Instagram. My gyro meat was kinda bland. The white sauce and green sauce really help in adding flavor... I still enjoyed it. Personally, this place is a tad overrated and I'd rather go to DCG by Tysons Corner if I'm having a gyro over rice craving. I'll leave it at a solid 3 star. I'm willing to change my rating if I come back and try something better.

After hearing all the hype about the food truck, we were excited to have the restaurant nearby! Soft opening day was crowded, but a week later and the crowd has died down enough. Small inside, but big flavors! I went with the chicken bowl and I loved the freshness of the toppings and of course the sauces. I think they would even fit from having a menu posted + all options as it was confusing and we almost missed out on the amazing fries I didn't know they had.

This place is packed full of people and great! There is a super long line but it's worth the wait. Everyone you see in line is either carrying a large chip bag or container! We brought 2 Dorito bags, one cool ranch and one nacho cheese. Once you come to the front of the line to order they take your chips right away and load it with the toppings you want. I really suggest getting extra white sauce it's so delicious as well as a little green sauce! Because it is the most spicy sauce I've ever eaten! They even warn you about it. The place is loud with little sitting but we got a table right away! Overall this place is great!

I have been to flavor hive once before maybe about a year ago at the Alexandria location and specifically remember really loving the date chai. So when I was craving that again, I decided why not go stop by again, but this time at the Annandale location. We decided to actually order our food online and pick it up in person. While ordering, I noticed that the date chai was not on the menu, but I figured that maybe when I'm picking it up, I could just order it in person. Come to find out, they got rid of it It's so devastating because that was such a unique drink--i can't get it anywhere else in the area. me and my husband both ordered two rice bowls with chicken. We were handed our paper bag with her to go order and we headed home. Mind you we live 20 mins away. We got home, sat down to eat, and as soon as we unpacked our bag, we noticed that they only gave us one rice bowl. We were both so upset because we were actually pretty hungry and annoyed at the fact that we have to drive another 20 minutes there and back. So we go back, we show them the receipt and tell them that we only got one rice bowl. The woman working the to go order says that there's only one rice bowl on the receipt, which is why she packed one. However, there was in fact, two rice bowls on the receipt and once we pointed it out to her, she said she misread it. Disappointing experience. However, the rice bowl itself was very good and flavorful. It had a desi taste to it that i liked compared to a more middle eastern taste like most halal cart places if that makes sense. Shihan, Pls bring the date chai back!!!

Stopped by early Sunday evening and ordered a chicken quesadilla. Placed my order then was told they ran out of chicken but just started cooking more. Advised a 5 minute wait...it definitely takes longer than 5 minutes to cook chicken. FH has moved into the parking lot of a former bank, not sure which one. The evening is beautiful, nice crisp breeze blowing and tantalizing aromas fill the air. I don't mind waiting because it's such a lovely evening. There's a few patrons eating at the tables and more coming to place orders. The entire staff was nice and engaging. Chicken quesadillas: fresh ingredients, FLAVORful, cheesy and perfect tortilla crisp...mmmm. It comes with the white and green sauce and a side of sour cream. The quesadilla was super flavorful in its own but I'm a chipotle girl, so I had to put a couple of dashes of that on it, albeit, I didn't need to. Can't wait to return to try other menu items. Definitely a unique, great addition to the Annandale food scene. Extra kudos for the recyclable containers. :)

Finally got to try them after seeing them all over TikTok and Instagram. Pretty standard rice-salad-gyro combo. The meat quality was pretty good, though! I did like their house-made Hive Sauce, too. Congratulations to the owners on their soft opening!

This is the absolute best falafel you will ever eat in your entire life. I was raised on falafel and I know how it should be. I have been to virtually every Middle Eastern restaurant, almost 100, in the area and this is the best.

Super excited after Cousin called inviting us to $1 Taco Night. We live far away from this location so arrived super early, spoke to the Manager, and crew. I got the layout, rules, types of Tacos etc. I was told 10 max per person, cool, made sense as I heard it got crazy (it did). Everybody wants Tacos so somebody ordering 40 is not good $1 taco etiquette. We got in-line way early (was about 5 back) and ordering went smoothly, three types of meat to choose from, and you step to the right till your name is called. There were (5) people in our group so we ordered 10 each of different meats to share. The first (4) got thier food close together and in a reasonable time, mine was not. I waited until (2) people after me got theirs, then asked, was told "Everybody wants Tacos, super busy". Yes, I get that, so I waited and after a few more got thiers (same meat) I went up again, same kind of agitated response. At this time my wife is staring at me from where the group had put up chairs to enjoy the Tacos, sent over her cousin to push me to get my Tacos. Finally, I was a little more aggressive and they found my ticket on the floor or stuffed in the back, not sure, Tacos took another 5-10mins. My group was pretty much done eating by then. My biggest issue was not waiting, busy night, I get it. But, if listened to the 1st time then it would have been resolved and not ruined group taco night. We followed the rules & watched one lady who ordered way after me walk away with (40) Tacos and I am still standing there waiting. Funny thing is, I really enjoyed the Tacos, the flavor was good, the fact they were not the type of Tacos that I thought they would be (regular tacos) at first made me skeptical, but they won me over - both green & white sauce made them pop even more. I gave the Tacos a (5), the rest of the group gave them a 3 to 4. Overall went with a (4), I heard the price is now $2 per taco on taco night. Will not go to Annandale location again, but may try Alexandria.

Wow! I can only imagine how good and fresh this taste in the beginning of the day or start of their routes. The portion size for the chicken was terrific. I had lunch and dinner for the next two days, and yes it was still absolutely enjoyable. A lot of the times when you save dishes like this the sauces are not great the day after. This?! 10/10, the flavors were blasting with so many different kinds of complimentary herbs and spices. The veggies the cilantro? Yum i can't wait to go back and bring my own base. The rice was so tasty I even finished that alone. Most of the time my meat runs out before my rice and I'm left with a ton of rice. However, not this dish. It was the perfect balance of both and the spicy and white sauce?! Wow i would love to just have bottles of this laying around to put on anything. So so so so good. Like I am getting hungry thinking about this. I ordered it on doordash so I hopefully I will get to try it in person soon!!! You all should sell the sauces for sure. The chicken? Cooked to perfection and I love that it's not all white meat. It was a mixture of both, juicy and tender to the T! Right amount of charoaled meat. No burnt taste at all!

Hello travelers, If you're ever in the city of Annandale, VA and enjoy food then this is definitely the place to go. These guys went from a restaurant on wheels to their brand new location, so go check them out and did I forget to mention they have dessert as well! Everyone that works there is always willing to lend a helping hand, but did I tell you, they are pretty famous on social media for their white spicy sauce and delicious food oh and you can't forget the cilantro! This place is worth the hype!! Their rice bowl portions are generous and delicious, and their green sauce does not mess around!! (actually spicier than DCG's) The staff's energy is charismatic and they're all super kind, they all had smiles on their faces for 11pm on a Friday night. Also there was 0 wait when we visited at that time! Excited to come back and eat more

These folks nailed the falafels! So crunchy on the outside. Service was great and the patio out back is perfect for the fall weather.

I decided to check this place out due to all the recommended videos from social media. It's very unique in the sense this place allows you to bring your own bag of chips to eat your meals out of. The ambiance and service were good though I was a little disappointed that the cook didnt acknowledge me initially. However according to his colleague, business was slightly slow at that point. Anyways the food was amazing and was astonished how humungous the meal was that it took me a while to finish it. Nonetheless it was great and hope to come back again.

I Had the Ground Beef & Chicken regular Bowl But I really wish they had Steak as a protein Option because the Ground Beef is too Greasy but overall all Everything was good Specially the White and Green Sauce ....Also service was Friendly.. Good vibes and oh They need to add a Wrap to the menu

First time ever trying Flavor Hive, in their new Annandale location! I ordered a rice bowl and the food was great - lots of flavor and huge portions for a reasonable price. I will be going back for more, and definitely to try their walking taco option! Can't wait until the construction on their brick and mortar is done.

I had to try this place out after seeing their YouTube videos. Came back on vaca from PCOLA and brought family from Taiwan. They all loved it. Food was great with our chips. Sauce was good. Extra spicy. Got the loaded meat rice bowl and loaded fries. Cheese extra charge. Beef extra charge. But well worth it. Didn't see the dude from the video but device was still good and friendly. They had maybe four tables out at this location for people to sit down and eat.

So. Freaking. Good. The food is worth the hype and their social marketing team kills it. Their specials are all very tasty, our favorite being the $2 tacos on Tuesday. The shell is made of something like a fried samosa giving it something special. My favorite is the gyro meat. It's worth the wait

Absolutely delicious!!! 100% worth it the pita pocket was delicious and the falafel was out of this world. Add both sauces (green, which is actually spicy and white is packed with flavor) and some fries with the pita pocket ‍-thank me Later.

Not good! Couldn't eat it. If I wanted hard cold chickpeas straight out the can I'd buy some and dump them in a bowl. The chicken was salty with no flavor. A big bowl of mess. A waste of my time and money!

Flavor hive is super popular nowadays and I decided to try it out. They give large portions and the food is delicious! Because it is a food truck, there aren't many places to sit, only a few picnic tables on the side. Some of the staff were very sweet, but others were kind of giving off passive aggressive vibes and it threw me off. Still definitely worth trying it out!

I came expecting a line, but it wasn't busy at all around 7 pm on a Friday. There was no one in line when I came, but some people started funneling in right after I got my food. I feel like it will start getting busier soon once more people know about this location, but it was nice to have basically no wait. I have been to the Alexandria location and the line there was pretty long, but it took less than 5 minutes for me to get my food at this location. The food trucks are located across the street from the Block, and are pretty visible when driving by. I got the chicken and gyro combo rice platter, and it was pretty solid. The meat was tender and flavorful, the rice was good, and the white sauce was a nice addition. However, it definitely needed more sauce, and it needed more vegetables. I will make sure to ask for more sauce on the side next time around. It is also pretty expensive (14-15 dollars), but they do give a lot of meat. I also don't like how there was no menu displayed at this location. At Alexandria, there is a menu of what you can get displayed very clearly, but it didn't look like they had that here. Overall, pretty solid food, but not great value. I will be back again, especially if the line stays manageable.

The bowl tasted Very good but a bowl cost almost 17 dollars!!! Way too expensive! I will not be returning due to the high price.

Service is awesome; menu is easy to read and decipher; having just opened the place is clean and the employees know how to keep things moving. Now the real deal is the food; the food selection is alright, nothing to write home about; had the chicken with rice; bunch of toppings and spicy sauce. Would I come back? Yeah, but I won't go out of my way for the hype.

I brought my bag of chips and drove an hour and was expecting good things from flavor hive. When I got there I ordered all the meats and when I got the bag I went to the car and started eating and I couldn't see under the sauces but there wasn't any chicken in my bag. Just beef and gyro. The guy taking my order had my receipt and I told him all the meats and he didn't put any chicken. I was already on the road so at that point I didn't go back and just accepted it. Can't believe that
