The 14 Most Iconic Dishes In Houston - Houston - The Infatuation

"We never get tired of the food at this classic Pakistani and Indian restaurant or sitting in its lived-in, warm dining room plastered with press clippings on the walls. And the one dish that's always in our order is the hara masala. The Hyderabadi curry is the most pleasant shade of bright green thanks to the chilies, cilantro, and a yogurt base. It gets hotter and hotter the more you eat, but always stays tangy and balanced." - gianni greene, chelsea thomas, julie takahashi

Google
Flavors is so wrong for having food this good. This was an experience. The food and the service are second to none. This place is amazing. I had the butter sauced wings and the goat Curry. It was great. I got the medium spice and believe me I like it hot. Anything above that though i will be careful if I was you. I will definitely be back. Give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

Google
I ordered paradise goat biryani. Then while serving myself, there was a hair. So, I said the waitress we found hair in biryani. Then, She brought back new one. I assumed it would be boneless as mentioned in the recipe. But it was not. Few pieces i picked to eat, it was less meat more bones. Also, it looked like it was leftover goat meat served with basmati rice. Didn’t have any spice or flavor. Other foods we ordered were definitely good but this one was definitely not. 2 hours of drive was not worth it.

I love getting the Palak paneer! My Nana is from Gujarat and he made it for me the last time I visited, and this was just as authentic! All food is fresh, hot, and tasty! I will be back 😋 આભાર 💛🤍💚

Google
A very big buffet for a good price point. The buffet had many gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free vegan options. The Manchurian Cauliflower was a standout as well as the fresh idli. I only wish they had a vegan dessert, but other than that, fantastic buffet if you’re vegan and/or gluten free. I thought the $22 lunch buffet price point was good and fair for the quantity and quality of food presented.

Google
Ordered Lamb Rogan Josh with Thali. So. Much. Food. But so worth it. I got spice level 3, so it wasn’t too hot. Just enough heat to know it’s there. The flavors were amazing. The garlic naan was super garlicky too. Crispy and chewy.

Went for the first time ever and service was super fast. My BIL ordered the goat and the first few bites where very very fatty and then he found a decent chunk of plastic in it. The waitress was very kind and the replaced his meal and switched the meat to chicken. The next day I went to heat my left overs up to eat and bit straight into a peice of bone that was left tin the chicken? Thankfully I didn't break a tooth. The food is very flavorful and the staff is nice, but I'm concerned about how these things are ending up in the food.

Google
A well-balanced Indian lunch buffet offering a good variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, along with a nice selection of desserts and drinks.

Google
The lamb vindaloo was fantastic! Everything was incredibly flavorful and balanced. I only got a heat level two and it had some kick to it. Will definitely be going back to check out the buffet!

Yelp
Very wide variety of dishes on the buffet. Really good food full of many different flavors from the typical "meat and three" American-type or Tex-Mex cuisine that is so common in the area. Love the variety of vegetables! Prices are a bit higher, but then again it is an all-you-can-eat buffet, including desserts.

Yelp
After going to two other Indian Restaurants in town I had to return to Flavors because I KNEW I would get quality delicious food and I was not disappointed. Since my trip to Hyderabad I have been very particular about my Indian food: nothing has tasted as good here in the states. However, Flavors is just like I am there again. Their Biriani is actually better than Hyderabad's Paradise in my opinion. So glad they have kept up the taste and quality the whole 5 years I have lived in NWA. Things that I love: best Garlic Naan around. Best Raitha - very flavorful Spice level is always what you ask for Use a quality cuts of meat. I have had curries, Masalas and Butter Chicken. I always eat to a coma state and still have lots to bring home!

Yelp
The food is good but the service is horrible, good luck getting a refill on your drink or a friendly wait staff, they're too busy getting their plates from the buffet and staying out of site, not refilling items until it's time to pay the bill. They act like they're doing you a favor instead of treating you like a paying customer. I used to love this place, now I feel uncomfortable dining there.

Yelp
I was in town on business and stumbled upon this little gem. It was a late night and I needed something delicious. I lucked out with this place. I ordered the Butter chicken which came in a generous serving of a perfectly seasoned dish. Along with a side order of garlic naan bread this was a great choice. I asked for a suggestion on dessert and was introduced to Gulab Jamoon which reminded me of little floating donuts. All in all it was a great value and quality for the price!

Yelp
Over the years I have enjoyed various Indian restaurants. Flavors is my all around favorite. The food is absolutely delicious. The buffet has such a wide variety of dishes; all delicious. Give Flavors a try, you won't be disappointed

Yelp
Food was tasty and quantity was fit for 2 people Not sure what I was the only customer on a Saturday night at 8:30 pm, the taste of the food warranted a full house

Yelp
The food here is so delicious and the service was excellent. Our server Pavan was very helpful and had great suggestions for which foods to try. I went for dinner and had the vegetable samosas, goat chettinad, and garlic naan. All very tasty!! The garlic naan was perfectly toasted, crunchy on the outer edges, but still soft in the inner edge, and had ample garlic. A good choice for garlic lovers. The goat chettinad a la carte comes with rice, and was a sizeable portion, good for 2 people, or 1 very hungry person. The flavors for this (and everything else) were excellent! I also tried the gulab jamun and rice kheer for dessert, and if you have a sweet tooth like I do the they were quite satisfying! The ambiance was nice, with music playing at a good volume. The restaurant had good low lighting (with still enough light where you do not need to pull out a flashlight for the menu). I will definitely be coming back here when I'm in town again!

Yelp
Food was just ok and they were out of several things. Bathrooms were a mess... dining room was empty and I guess I know why

Yelp
Delicious Indian food in Bentonville, I was in town staying at the Hotel attached so it was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and attentive the whole time! Great experience all around.

Yelp
Awesome Indian food!!! Service very friendly!! Buffet on Friday , great too !! ( normally , I am not big fan of buffet, but it was fresh, tasty and good selection!!!)
google avatar

Brendon T.

Yelp
Went for the first time with a friend. The food was good but the selection was not as advertised. The $23.00 for the lunch buffet seemed a little high since they did not even have Samosas on the buffet and many of the items we had to wait for them to replenish. Service was friendly and good.

Yelp
I'm currently writing this at the table while we eat, but my mom and I came her for the first time to try a variety of different dishes since going to a by-order Indian restaurant is a little intimidating. There's always so many choices and we never know what to get! It was so nice coming here and getting to try a variety of different things and figure out what we liked and didn't like! We also really appreciated that everything was still warm and fresh when we came for lunch! We loved a lot of the dishes but we'd recommend you try the stir fried eggplant, paneer butter masala, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and egg Manchurian! Non food wise, the tomato chutney was delicious, as well as the specialty drinks they had (the mint lemonade and rose drink were our favorites). For dessert, we recommend you try the apricot delight, Semiya Payasam, and double ka Meetha. The staff was really friendly and checked up on us regularly, and even gave us a box of desserts to take home! (It's the anniversary of their opening, that was why)

Yelp
Their saag is amazing!! My husband and I got 3 dishes: (1) butter chicken (2) daal (3) saag paneer -- all three were flavorful but the saag blew me away. Also, we had more than enough leftovers for a second meal for both of us. Also, the staff is friendly and accommodating--my husband ordered a fresh lime soda which was too sweet for him and they immediately offered to make another. I highly recommend Flavors for well-spiced Indian curry in NWA!

Yelp
Saturday buffet is off the hook - A huge vegetarian buffet, large hot table full of meat and seafood, very large dessert selection and a few other specialties. Totally worth the time and money.

Yelp
Oh my lanta... Flavors Indian Cuisine was a treat! My favorite dish was the Indian eggplant deep fried and stuffed with peanut powder, then stir fried with onions and Indian spices. Shannon's fave (and also crazy delicious) was the Green Masala: Cilantro, mint, jalapeno, yogurt, coconut milk, onion and Indian spices. We got it with chana (chick peas) and they were stewed in the sauce long enough to just fall apart when you eat them (!). The garlic butter drenched naan was maybe the best I've ever had: chewy even after it wasn't piping hot anymore. And perfect for sopping up the curry sauce (also delicious) on the lamb. The pikora platter was great -- with some veggies I don't even recognize -- but the spiced-batter-fried onions we're the BEST. The look of this place doesn't really sell it: the Four Points hotel is nicer, bigger, and distracting, and the Sports Bar in their name is confusing, not to mention it still says "Pasta" on the outside which goes to show how much of the decor is leftover from the Italian restaurant that used to be there... But follow the yummy smells to deliciousness.

Yelp
I wasn't someone who liked indian food until now. This is such an amazing restaurant! It's comfortable and spacious with delicious food and great service. This restaurant will not disappoint.

Yelp
Hungry and tired, got my dinner courtesy of Uber Eats. As always, lots of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu at an Indian place. Went for my go to channa masala and side of tandoori roti. Overall. Very satisfied. Portion size is substantial. Flavors were excellent. Just be warned that this is definitely spice level 4 out of 5. Based on one dish, I'd say highly recommended if your looking for some good Indian today.

Yelp
This place has America's best Hyderabadi dum biryani. Quantity, quality and staff all is above and beyond. Whenever I fly from california to Bentonville i stop at this place and eat. Today I was late it was 9:10 in the evening but lady server was kind enough me dine in and once again I enjoyed garma garam Hyderabadi dum biryani just like made fresh. Highly recommended you should try too. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Mr chef, staff and the owner for bringing Flavors to the community.

Yelp
I went here with a large group (around 20) on a Sunday evening and they greeted us with warm smiles and accommodated us in every way. The food came out very quickly and while I am not a huge fan of Indian food, everything was delicious! I had the butter goat plate (not the pic below - this was my wife's plate) with all of the side items. I really don't like squash or eggplant and was eating both without even knowing it and liked it. The food and service was excellent!

Vineeth R.

Yelp
With my hunger at my peaks I stumbled across this restaurant and I am very much pressed with the variety of items that they do serve in the menu and I loved the Palak Paneer in their menu , The portion size was pretty much that it is more than enough for 1 person. Loved their garlic naan. Service was top notch with people guiding you through the menu and helping you choose the best for as per your appetite. The ambiance was cool and pretty welcoming with music playing through. I wish I had taken photos of the items.

Yelp
Good flavor and food. Very diverse menu and options. Service was fast and efficient. Good traditional and new options.

Yelp
The bathrooms are DISGUSTING! Very disorganized buffet layout. Staff seem disorganized as well. Food is ok, not great.
google avatar

Dy E.

Yelp
One of the best Indian restaurant in bentonville. The buffet on the weekend is my favorite. The restaurant is large and clean. Staff are very nice and polite. I enjoyed food everytime I came here. My favorite is garlic naan and chicken tikka masala.
google avatar

Ilana O.

Yelp
An Indian sports bar - the menu is EXTENSIVE but it does seem to be missing Naanchos - I'm just saying -- fry up some naan, and put some kind of fusion toppings on there, and you'd have a hit. Although, everything we ordered was a hit. We got many dishes, family style, veggies, meat, perfectly spiced, HUGE portions. There were 5 of us and I think the bill came to $125. Totally reasonable, very delicious. Service was a little slow, and it was a little hard to find glasses and a few other things, but mostly was a really enjoyable experience. Way to go Arkansas!
google avatar

Gayla B.

Yelp
Consistently great food! Our favorite dishes are: chicken tikka masala, biryani, butter chicken, chicken 55, samosas, and garlic naan!
google avatar

Brooke S.

Yelp
Super delicious and authentic Indian food. Located adjoining the Four Points Sheraton hotel. Has a great lunch buffet or order a dish thali-style for dinner. They clearly designate gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan dishes on the menu. Reminds me of the food we ate while visiting Mumbai last year. I had the Southern India platter which is entirely vegan and delicious. Really filling and savory. We also had the goat curry thali which was very good and came with a small dessert. Our 2 dishes were enough food for 4 people really, such large portions.
google avatar

Cecilia R.

Yelp
Literally one of the most accurate names for a restaurant - every visit is a culinary adventure with an explosion of flavors! Especially love all the chaat and Gobi 65. So good!
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Pricey buffet, but they have some really delicious options and the service was just fine. What I really appreciated though was that they have signs on all the dishes that list the ingredients. Thank you Flavors, thank you so much. Why don't more places do that? That way I could pick my favorites instead of wasting time or plate space on things that don't appeal. We have been here a few times now, and I can't remember what all I liked, but one of the standouts for me was a spicy shrimp dish. I was disappointed that it wasn't on the buffet on our next visit, but there was a similar dish of chicken. Definitely check this place out if you like Indian food. Also, if you are unfamiliar with Indian food, then this would be a good option because you can try a variety of dishes.
google avatar

Abigail H.

Yelp
The overall experience was very good! The food was well made, the curry sauce was smooth and unbroken, (that garlic naan was DELISH) and spice level 3 was just right. The only suggestion I would have it to give more rice with an entree- I only got enough rice for half of my curry. I did a to-go order, but when I picked up, the atmosphere inside was a wonderful mix and cozy/modern and I kinda wished I'd dined in.
google avatar

Garrett D.

Yelp
There are a few Indian cuisine restaurants around the Bentonville area, and this is one of the better locations in terms of food quality. What this restaurant lacks in is service (online ordering) and timeliness. Multiple times have waited for 1+ hour on food order; though the estimated time shows a much shorter time. The inside dining is never really busy, so not sure what the delay is in food orders is... Dine in is okay, but take out is severely lacking. Hopefully they can get their business in order soon.
google avatar

Yelp
I had another great dinner last night at Flavors. The menu is extensive, covering every major regional cuisine. And the food is fantastic. We started with vegetable Samosas, which were perfect, crisp and savory. Main courses were also great. And the Naan is amazing. The staff here is so attentive and friendly. Overall, the experience was great.

Melinda W.

Yelp
Great food and service . The restaurant was clean and bright. I would highly recommend this for dinner.

Clayton W.

Yelp
Great food, incredible service, great ambiance. So many complimentary treats! Definitely will be back!

Christopher P.

Yelp
Food and service here are awesome! The goat curry and ghee roast are both delicious.
google avatar

Yesi P.

Yelp
We have been here to dine-in a couple of times, and have also gotten take-out on occasion. Previous business' decor remains (Italian food/sports bar??), so the ambiance is not really there. The times we've been in, there hasn't been someone at the host station to greet us, you have to wait for someone to notice you are there and come to seat you. Waiter will hardly speak more than a couple of words. But don't let any of this deter you from trying this place. Both times we each ordered the Thali meal with a curry of our choice (tikka masala, mutter paneer, navratan korma), 2 curries of the day, rice, papad (crispy flatbread), naan (soft flatbread), raita (yogurt sauce), and a dessert of the day. This is a perfect portion for my husband, but too much for me; we probably could split a Thali between the two of us if he was more open to sharing. The food has always been delicious, albeit a little pricy, which is why we keep coming back. The "Flavors" are there, let's get that right!

Debbie S.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere. I don't like spicy and was able to choose 0 spice!! It was great!
google avatar

Laura B.

Yelp
Despite the waitstaff being a little sparse and the service kind of confusing, we love Flavors. Every time we've gone, the food has been incredible. Unironically packed with flavor, and the garlic naan is to die for. The vibe of the restaurant definitely seems like the owners bought and Italian restaurant and haven't bothered renovating or redecorating, but it doesn't take away from the experience. Taking away one star because the server didn't come back to our table, just kind of hovered around the dining room even though we were one of two tables in the restaurant. We waited for a long time and we're very confused. But again, we will always go there for the incredible food.
google avatar

Natasha W.

Yelp
This meal was hands down FLAVORFUL!!! I would recommend this place if you are into authentic dishes that are prepared with the best spices your tongue has ever experienced. I heard so many good things about this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. The service was amazing. The owner took great care of us and introduced us to some of his favorite dishes....which now are my favorite. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Spike S.

Yelp
Flavors Indian Cuisine, Lunch Buffet is the Very Best! The variety of offerings is really large. It is a well maintained buffet bar. They really mix it up! I attempted to have a little of everything, but it was overwhelming! Everything I did try was delicious. The best Indian food I have ever had. They have the standard dishes and dishes I have never heard of. I believe that they change up the buffet menu every few days. Check their website to see what is available before you go. A couple of items stood out; the goat curry and a rice dish, which had goat in it. The chutneys and sauces were fantastic! I didn't have room to try the soups many other items. And, then there was the dessert section of the buffet. There was a chocolaty, gooey cake, and the mango mousse, that I could have eaten way, way too much of. Just as the main food buffet the desert offerings were a great variety and were plentifully. The staff is very nice. The customer service is excellent. Their new location is a big comfortable, clean facility. If you really like Indian food this is your place!!!

Kristina K.

Yelp
The best Indian food in NWA, we eat here whenever we're in town. I love the butter chicken, the saag Paneer is great, and the garlic naan is delish.
google avatar

Joyce C.

Yelp
Service was an absolute struggle, you can tell they were overwhelmed. There was more than an hour left on lunch buffet but even the white rice wasn't refilled, and the desserts were mostly empty. The papad was a bunch of small broken pieces. The biryani had no chicken pieces left. BUT.. the food was actually flavorful and we put up with everything else. They had quite a few veg friendly dishes including some I've never seen at Indian buffets before, same for desserts. Really wish we were able to get masala dosas or any dosa really but they said the kitchen couldn't make it in time. I wish they were able to refill the food better because the last 10 minutes or they finally added some fresh items. Seriously the food tastes good they just can't seem to make it fast enough for the crowds.
google avatar

Seth B.

Yelp
We had the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, and the garlic naan. All three were great, I think this is probably the best garlic naan I've had. This will probably be our go-to Indian fix in Rogers/Bentonville
google avatar

Dalenna D.

Yelp
I used to go to Flavors with the coworkers during the weekday and I quite enjoyed the variety of choices on the buffet but over time the quality of the buffet has plummeted. The tandoori chicken was only decent and the butter chicken tasted a bit old. I DID like the addition of spicy wings though and thankfully the naan bread was still pleasing to my carb loving tastes! My main issue is with the pricing... I guess I should I have checked to see what the prices were for kids since our visit was "experimental" for them but $12 for a 9, 6 AND 4 year old is a bit hefty. If we didn't mention that our 4 year old didn't eat anything he would've been charged almost the full price of an adult meal. Nearly $70 for a sub par time was a disappointment, honestly. Maybe I would come back again just myself...but this place definitely doesn't suit well for our family of 5. And I would not recommend bringing the kiddos unless yours have a taste for unique cuisine. Luckily there was fruit "pudding" or we would have literally taken the kids out for a couple spoonfuls of chicken and naan bread. Everything was entirely too spicy for them. /:

David S.

Yelp
Went on 09/22/23 at 12:20pm for the lunch buffet. Most food was luke warm at best. Had to ask twice twice to have bins refilled with food as four of them were completely empty. A couple of the items had no flavor at all which is huge for an Indian restaurant. Also had dirty plates on most tables as diners were eating. The last insulting part is that it now costs $22.95 !!! They used to have much better food and it was much cheaper. I will definitely not be back.
google avatar

Sudsahara C.

Yelp
Love trying new places and especially from different ethnic backgrounds. Coworker recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. Enjoyed the lunch buffet which gave me an opportunity to try many different things
google avatar

Mady D.

Yelp
I went here on a Sunday for the first time not knowing it was a buffet. There were so many options and everything was so good! The price wasn't too bad either, I'm definitely coming back (:
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Popped in with family to introduce them to Indian food. Ordered the garlic naan and buttered naan. Both were average. Good texture but somewhat bland. We all ordered different dishes and I tried the bhindi Masala and Chana Masala. The bhindi was some of the better I have had. Not over cooked or smothered in oil. The Chana Masala was decent but too salty. On food score alone, maybe four star. For overall ambiance, this place just misses. The tables are squished together, the wait staff brushes us against you while moving about and the lighting is harsh. The place is also loud. While the food was enjoyable, the experience was not.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
First time at this location, after a miserable experience at Saffron last week, we came here. This was the best experience with Indian food we have had since moving to NWA. The employees were attentive and answered questions about food we had never had. The Palek Paneer was the best ever. The Tandori Shrimp was excellent as all the side dishes associated with the "thaili" . The bar for Indian food wasn't that high to us, however this will be a "go to" place from now on!! The hostess and Bartender were very helpful and explained a lot about the menu and how to order from it. This would have been a solid 5 if the server had a little bit of a better grasp on communication.

Yelp
Picked out this restaurant out of the few options , really because of the reviews and boy, we're we wrong ! Walked in on a Saturday night for dinner - waited a good 10 mins as the stressed out Indian guy at the counter was on the phone taking orders. No acknowledgment, no welcome, nothing. Finally a waitress walks in from inside and seats us down. The floors were dirty and disgusting, dark dingy ambience and the whole placed smelled terrible.. First time you see an Indian menu with literally 100s off options, Every entree comes with a Thali option- which is a plate you can sample a variety of curries. First observation, everything is overpriced - I lived in NY area before and haven't seen these rates there unless of course you go to a fancy place., which you do for the dining experience.. Nevertheless asked the waitress what she would recommend and what's good there- she simply shrugged and said She does not know!!!! Anyway we ordered some usual fare - Chicken kadaai , paneer tikka masala , biryani and naan. They were, thankfully, edible ... I asked for some condiments and they were never brought out ... I don't recommend that anyone go for the thali option - they are full of some stock bulk curries - same for every entree you pick - except outrageously priced ... Verdict - avoid the place if you can or maybe just order take out if you really want to eat Indian food. There are other restaurants in the area you might want to give a shot but try and AVOID this one.
