"This food stall, one of a handful inside the Rockwood Market Hall, boasts an expansive menu despite its limited real estate. Go for the restaurant’s popular chicken tikka masala, or branch out with harder-to-find dishes like malai kofta (cheese balls in a creamy sauce) or chicken do pyaza, a curry loaded with onions. Try the masala tea, which has an earthy flavor and is served piping hot." - Rebecca Roland, Ron Scott, Eater Staff

Google
We had a truly memorable meal. My husband, traveling from Korea and new to Indian food, was delighted by the explosion of flavors. It was a fantastic introduction. Amazing!!!! I can’t wait to come again.

Google
Flavors of India is hands down my favorite spot for authentic Indian cuisine! The food is always bursting with delicious flavors, and the service is incredibly friendly and attentive. With such a wide variety of dishes on the menu, it’s hard to choose, but no matter what you pick, you’re guaranteed to be impressed. Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or have dietary preferences, there’s something for everyone. And if you haven’t yet, make sure to try a mango lassi to complete your meal – it's the perfect refreshing finish. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving top-notch Indian food!

Google
Delicious! Recommend to stop by. Great service fast, very kind, and so good! Had a craving and brought the wife for the first time. She loved it. Menu easy to understand and read! Butter Chicken & Chicken Tikka made mine spice good!

Ati

Google
We ordered the lamb biryani and lamb korma with garlic naan, and wow, the flavors were incredible! The portions were generous too. If you’re in Portland, you definitely need to try this Indian restaurant!

Daniel

Google
The owner is nice, the food is decent. What is lacking is having good lunch specials that are main dishes and not unknown appetizers that no one except propio from India know what they are. I find this place to be a bit expensive. They would probably do better if food was more affordable and portions were better. Appetizers are a bit expensive too.

Google
This is genuinely my favorite place in portland. The flavors are always delicious, the cheese Naan is to die for, the saag is incredible, and the guys are always always so nice. Like, at one point, I thought they closed, and i actually genuinely fell to my knees in sadness till I realized they just moved across the whole. I recommend it to all of my friends and they love it too. 1000000/10 I love this place

Google
While on a trip to Oregon, I stumbled upon Flavours of India, and I must say, it did not disappoint! I ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, and chicken biryani, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, truly capturing the essence of Indian cuisine. If I were a local, I would definitely be a regular customer. Don’t hesitate to give this small business a try.

Richard Zimmerman

Google
I had Aloo Gobi and garlic Naan and it tasted very good. Friendly staff and good food.

Tran L.

Yelp
I would give this a 5 star if I could just figure out how to get my spicy level to be PERFECT each time. Their name is exactly what they are! A whole lot of FLAVORS!!! They're fast too! Call in and pick up. Parking is fairly easy and they have indoor seating as well if needed. Located in a newer building! The only thing I wish is if I can get their spicy level to be consistent. Sometimes, spicy is nothing at all and one or two times it would be perfect!

Amanda N.

Yelp
Fire! We stumbled upon thus food hall place and there are so many choices to choose from. This place did not disappoint. Loved the portions and I'm usually not a big rice eater, but I are more than half. The flavors of the curry were bomb.com.

K P.

Yelp
Amazing food every time! A ton of flavor and a good price. The vindaloo is my go to, but you can't go wrong with anything there.

Nicholas G.

Yelp
This food was amazing. I was craving something spicy, and I got those sweet sweet Indian spices delivered to my front step. More food than I needed (2 entrees and garlic naan) made for an excellent lunch today for my kid and I.

Fiona P.

Yelp
I can't believe we didn't find this hidden gem of a food court before; our first flight of cuisine stop was to Flavours of India for me (and next door Gyro Time for hubby separate review) and I was NOT disappointed. I ordered Onion Bread (forgot the official name but a type of naan like bread?), Lamb Korma & Kheer (rice pudding type dessert). It came to about $26 including tip. First of all it was enough for two people and made me three meals! Second it had a fair and plentiful amount of lamb especially for the price. Lastly it was all very very good. I like a bit more cinnamon to my Kheer but it was a refreshing and lovely pairing with the main course/appetizer. The bread was stunning. I knew it would be good when I saw them hand rolling naan/their other delights but YUMMMMM. I will be back and I hope they continue to dazzle my taste buds when I crave Indian food

Dianne F.

Yelp
Amazing food and owners are super nice!! They support some awesome charities as well.

Lisa R.

Yelp
Location: inside a shopping center in Rockwood. Weird but works well. Free parking outside. Seating is in the indoor courtyard in front of the place. Vibe: very casual, no fancy clothes needed. Staff: friendly, helpful, knowledgable about the menu. Food: home made. Recommendations: for vegetarians the malai kofta ball were fresh and came in in an unusual curry sauce. Saag paneer - lots of spinach and creamy sauce. Rice comes with dinner. Chicken, shrimp and lamb dishes also available.

Ali B.

Yelp
Decided to give Flavours of India a try today and it was most excellent. We had the lamb korma, chicken Tikka masala and a shrimp biriani. All were very flavorful with the right amount of spice. Ordered delivery and they included rice which was a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to going and eating there next time, highly recommend!

Daphne S.

Yelp
I am so happy to have some good Indian food nearby me! I had never been to the food pod in gresham and was excited to explore. They have a big menu with lots of options. I have been craving butter chicken all week so I have to get it. I also got the garlic naan. My sister got a mango lassi and chicken pakora. The butter chicken was a 9/10. The chicken pieces were a little big and I wish they would've been a bit smaller. It was very well seasoned, hot, and was ready in like ten minutes. The garlic naan was really good. The naan is thinner than expected but way bigger than expected. The garlic flavor is intense. For $4 I think it's a good addition. Rice was great. The chicken pakora packed a punch. It's heavily spiced and well flavored. It does have an intense fennel after taste fyi if you don't like licorice. The inside of the pod was large and empty. There is plenty of searing and parking. There were kids running around that I think were family with another vendor. They were climbing all over the tables and under the table I was seated at. I don't think it was too bothersome given being used to family complexes in this side of town. They love their family so it is okay with me. I will definitely come back.

Yasmin O.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVEEEE this place, ive ubered a total of about 7 times this month alone because i cant get enough of this delicious goodness . That butter chicken and tiki masala are my fave go too

Penny P.

Yelp
What's up: It's that time again, dinner time. We've had a variety of foods these past few days and after a quick look on Yelp, we found Indian food! Parking: Located at The Rockwood Market Hall, parking was plentiful since we came later in the day. There are also a couple of EV chargers available. Environment: Walking in, you'll see a ton of tables in the middle of the large space and all the restaurants on the sides. This place was one of the few that was still open. The menu is posted on the wall. Walk up to the order window to place your order. It was a bit of a wait before the food was ready, but it was worth it. The restrooms are located on the outside of the building, not too far away from the EV chargers. What was ordered: - Lamb Tikka Masala (not too gamey, pretty tasty) - Chicken Biryani (good flavored rice with yummy chicken) - Lamb Tikka (also not very gamey, and yummy) - Garlic Naan (hot and yummy when dipped in the sauces) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. We were pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food was here. The food definitely hit the spot in our hungry tummies despite the wait. Plus we were able to get some charging in for our car. Credit cards are accepted.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with this place. They're always so friendly and super quick and I think this is a chain restaurant (I could be wrong)...but it's one of my favorites. They don't skimp on portion sizes or flavor and the price is right! You can eat in the building and it's usually hustling and bustling with people having lunch, not too loud or crowded and they have little heating lamps for the colder days. Typically we order to go and so far my favorite is the lamb tikka masala...tender lamb and tons of it, and the flavors are just harmony. My fiancé loves the lamb biriyani for the same reasons. Their garlic and cheese naan is a large portion and absolutely delicious. And their paneer is fabulous too. I keep telling myself I'm going to try something new but it's hard when we know we love what we consistently order. Definitely give this place a try!

Sam M.

Yelp
Great find, amazing menu and tandori oven. Parking is tough so I recommend early (11) or public xport.

Jamie L.

Yelp
Yum. Maybe the best Indian food in east county. Butter chicken is off the chain. Affordable and great service.

Abhishek G.

Yelp
Exquisite food!!!! They know how Indian food should be made!!!! Nothing short of excellence is what I would rate this place. Only complaint is that it's not close to Vancouver, Washington but hopefully someday!!

Melanie T.

Yelp
The food is so delicious and now that they are in this new larger food court it's a way better experience. The delivery of the food could be improved. ...communication at the front counter with the customer for example. We invited friends to have dinner with us in the food court but the food was delivered in carry out bags. We had to open everything and unpackage it at the table. Didn't like that. Well be back though and hope things change.

Derrick G.

Yelp
This is a very good Indian Food kitchen, located in the Rockwood Market Hall. The Rockwood Market Hall is an indoor eatery with numerous restaurants. The hall is enclosed, but still has open air parts of the Hall, which makes it very cold during the winter (bundle up or order food to-go). We ordered the Lamb Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. The food was all delicious and the prices were very affordable.

G K.

Yelp
I love Flavours of India! This was dessert night with my sweetheart and it was so delicious. The manager is so nice and always greets us with a smile.

Michael M.

Yelp
Have ordered here at least ten times or so now! My usual, basic order or butter chicken or chicken tikka masala is always delicious and I often grab a mango lassi along side. Lead time for pickup often needed another 7-10 minutes before it'd be a ready, meaning I was hanging in the rockwood hall a bit. The hall is nice, if a bit desolate at 7-8 pm most nights. I'll keep coming back for my take away order.

Jade W.

Yelp
Found my new favorite Indian restaurant! Delicious food with wonderful flavor. Service was super speedy. Would definitely recommend!

Joshua N.

Yelp
Stopped in to the Rockwood food court and tried Flavors of India...the dinner was outstanding, from the chicken and onion curry to the wonderful garlic naan. The staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed our experience there. We will be back!

Scott H.

Yelp
Came here from Beaverton because of high reviews and it was worth the trip. Had the lamb tikka masala which was rich and flavorful, the chunks of lamb were robust and delicious. The flavor profile was amazing. And I washed it down with the mango lassi which was rich and creamy. Highly recommend!

Kim G.

Yelp
So few good Indian restaurants in and around Portland, I am thrilled to have discovered Flavours of India, just wish it was closer to Portland! If it was, I would eat here every week! The Saag Paneer has the right amount of spice and plenty of the delicious paneer. The butter chicken is rich and decadent, served with rice so you get every drop of the tomato, butter sauce. The lamb vindaloo is so tender and flavorful. These are my three go-tos along with naan, and it becomes dinner for 3-4 nights! Portions are large, and even more important for a food cart, everything is packaged to ensure you get the food home without any spillage or mess. The food is cooked fresh to order and service is friendly. Located in Rocketwood Market, another new food truck station that emerged during Covid days but was in the planning for decades, is fabulous! This indoor marketplace is filled with local, fresh and ethnic foods in addition to small local retail shops that sell handmade, artisanal goods. If you want to eat your Indian food, or other food and beverage items here, there are plenty of places to sit in the covered venue. The food from The Flavours of India is soooooo good. Please open up another cart in downtown Portland. We need you!

Jane F.

Yelp
Stopped by Rockwood Market Hall on Memorial. Only a few restaurants open, but was thrilled to see that Flavours of India was one of them. Tried their new cheesy garlic naan. Delish! I also appreciate owner Sandra's commitment to her community!

Info U.

Yelp
Lamb biryani is fantastic! We've also enjoyed the Chicken Tandoor and the Garlic Naan. We plan to just keep on working our way through the selections! Really nice place and what a find in a "Food Court!"

Hannah C.

Yelp
Located INSIDE the Rockwood Market Hall building amongst other food vendors. Amazing food. I had the veggie samosa (you get two per order), and the green sauce with it is sooo good. The Tikka Chicken kabobs are so juicy and tender, with great flavor. 10 out of 10 recommend this place!! Grab the garlic naan too!

Amrit G.

Yelp
Tried this Indian food place while visiting portland. Ordered the veg pakora, butter chicken (spicy) came with rice and garlic naan. I loved all the food, very flavorful. If your looking for authentic indian food, this place is it!

Kelcy D.

Yelp
Flavours of India is located between Pinto Thai and the Gyro cart in Sandlandia, just off Highway 26. They have an extensive menu. Ordered the chicken wrap and vegetable samosas. That chicken wrap is HUGE and packed with flavor and filling. It was really good. We went back a second time just for that. The vegetable samosas were yummy. The filling of potato,  onion, green peas, and spices matched the flavor I've had from other restaurants. The pastry shell was thicker compared to samosas I've had in the past. My favorite samosa place in Seattle offers a couple different sauces. I did not get any sauce from Flavours of India. We've been here a handful of times and each time the staff is friendly and our food comes out hot and quick. We really appreciate that they walk us through their menu and have introduced us to dishes we wouldn't have ordered on our own.

Raquel R.

Yelp
I've been going here since the place opened. Not sure if their ownership changed but the last 3 times I ordered my naan was undercooked and my Chicken Tikka Masala was passable for dirty water. No idea what's going on but I'm not wasting my money again. Sad. The prices went up and the quality disappeared.

paul s.

Yelp
My first time here! I ordered the chicken wrap, the worker who helped me was very nice and polite. There was a large order in front of me so it was about a 15 minute wait. I got my order and drove home. And wow was the wait worth it!! Let's call it what it is, a freaking huge burrito lol. It was the most flavorful wrap I ever had, full of so many fragrances of spice, I don't know what all was in it, but besides chicken and rice, I'm guessing potatoes, squash, onions and a delicious sauce. I will be back real soon to get another one!

Tom B.

Yelp
Dropped by on a rainy Friday Waited by the window in the rain, ignored for a few minutes Guy didn't seem like he wanted customers Ordered and waited a long time for food. Finally got it and went home I will say the food had good flavor. Chicken chicken marsala Chicken over Aloo gobi ? Friends dish Saffron rice was tender

Melody K.

Yelp
Great food here. We have gone back several times. Nice options clothes by too. Friendly service.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
best food I've ever had. I didn't even know I liked Indian food, my goodness. You guys, the food here is so good. It's not my favorite, even only food I order out anymore! A few of my favs are - Chana Masala is delightful little chickpea dish, oh man, and they make it SPICY upon request. I'm pretty sure there are no mortals in that kitchen. The garlic naan ... made fresh to order ... *blank stare* most delicious thing I've ever eaten. And they are huge! DUDE the samosas, I almost forgot about them, they're bonkers good. You'll be wanting extra tamarind sauce, trust me, it could make a flip flip tastey. I'm not even exaggerating. This place looks like an unassuming little hole in the wall, but don't let that fool you. You will have a permanent craving for their food, and you will feel blessed. That's been my experience anyway Also, these dudes are dedicated - they stayed open during those terrible blizzards. I'm very grateful to have found this place. Sometimes yummy food can mend the soul, this is one of those places. Thank you to Everyone in that entire kitchen Bless you

Iris W.

Yelp
We went in at 12:31 pm. First visit and had the most incredibly tasting Lamb curry, tender and so much flavor. We ordered naan- butter bread and it complimented the lamb. The meal was extraordinary and delish. We love Indian food and this place was outstanding. We will be repeating our visit. Thank you for you awesome food. delish Indian food.

Pope J.

Yelp
Always on point. Best chicken korma I've had. Super moist and tender. Never had a bad dish. Always delicious

Michael M.

Yelp
Delicious food! Highly recommend. Went in with a group of 6-7 friends and we all loved it.

Kathleen W.

Yelp
The food is heavenly! We had chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori Chicken and both were soooo good. And we have enough leftover for another meal, though I WANTED to eat it all up. I wouldn't have been able to move, if I had. but I'd have died happy.

Amanda S.

Yelp
I've ordered from this place many times over the years, and sometimes it's been good, and other times items have been missing, or arrive strangely portioned. The last order I got from them? I can't stop thinking about it. The chicken tikka masala was straight perfection. Quality chicken, perfectly prepared, great spice balance, fair portion, hot and fresh -- and I ordered shortly before they closed. Garlic nan? Perfect. Samosas? Perfect. Aloo gobi? A little light on vegetables, but the sauce was so good I stretched it and ate it on toast for days. Normally I'm the type that throws part of a carry-out order away, because we get bored with it before the food is gone, but this time our containers were bone dry. So happy to have this place delivering to us!

Sachin P.

Yelp
Fast service, great taste! I also loved their Spiced tea !

Alison L.

Yelp
Been going here for a while now and the food was good but in the past few months the quality of food has really gone down. The service was not okay. I ended up waiting a hour for my food and when I asked why my Panner tiki masala and garlic naan hadn't come out yet, they said they gave it to someone else so I had to wait even longer. Delivery drivers were also waiting upwards of 40 minutes and the restraint was still taking orders when already behind.

Melvin A.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! And the man who serves us is so kind! Abundant portions and incredible flavors! My partner had never had Indian food, and it was one of the only open options. He was hesitant, but got the Lamb tikka Masala after I persuaded him to. So friggin' good! Now he can't wait to go again! Lucky me, he's fallen in love with Indian food just in time for the cooler weather to come, and those delicious spices to warm us up from the inside out! My only wish... More sustainable packaging options like the bags, forks, and napkins.

Todd H.

Yelp
Just had a fairly sizable delivery order and had food from here for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing. This is the best Indian that I've had in a long time. He hadn't known this was from a food cart until after we ordered, but I'm so glad they are (we prefer to support them over brick and mortar, call me pretentious). We are excited to try other items, especially the wraps! Kudos Flavours of India. This was delicious!

Paul D.

Yelp
Awesome Indian food they have a couple locations. Some of the best chicken korma and garlic naan if ever had.

Sam I.

Yelp
I would be nice to let your customers know if their food is going to take longer then 30min to make. Ordered butter chicken and waited 1 hour to get my order. Not cool bro. Don't think I will be returning.

Mo A.

Yelp
A friend was craving some Indian finger food and I really wanted to find some authentic Indian food. I saw this on Google maps and decided it was worth checking out. A group of us went, some weren't interested in Indian cuisine and this place has several other restaurant options. The food was great! I had my favorite dish, chicken korma with naan. The guys working there were great and very gracious about me practicing my Hindi.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from this food cart for the first time this evening. I got the vegetable samosas, cilantro naan, yellow daal, chicken do pyaza and kheer. It was a lot of food, but I like leftovers. The order came with two large containers of basmati rice and two kinds of chutney for the samosas. Everything, with one exception, was excellent. Some of the best Indian food I've had in the Portland area. Good Indian food has complex layers of flavor from the many spices and this food did not disappoint. I requested the food be spicy and the heat was just right. Serving sizes were easily enough for two or three meals. The naan was the perfect balance of chewy and tender and was enormous. The one exception was the kheer. It was so sweet it was inedible. Sugar was the only flavor I could make out. And it was orange. When I've had kheer before it has been flavored with a little saffron, giving it a tint of that spice's red-orange color. This stuff was bright orange, as if it had been dyed. I don't want to end on a down note, because the rest of the food was exceptionally good. I look forward to the leftovers and I will certainly order from this cart again.

Rhea J.

Yelp
All I can say is OMG! lol! We ordered Lamb Vindaloo and Lamb Tikka Masala last night, and this is our first time ordering from them. First of all, they pack the food very well. Second, the portion was good. And third, they were DELICIOUS! The sauce was thick and taste really good specially when you mix it with the basmati rice that was freshly cook. They put plenty of meat too. The prices are affordable and you get big servings. We will definitely ordering from them again. Go try them now. I love them! lol

Amy N.

Yelp
Butter chicken is worth the wait. The best butter chicken and rice dish in Portland metro area.

Rudito B.

Yelp
Absolutely authentic Indian foodz. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, garlic basil naan and veggie samosas. NOTE: they don't have meat samosas. We found the portion sizes not so good but we understand that having to run a business during COVID you can't pour food onto a plate like the old days. Otherwise everything was fine! p.s. They're in a really cute food trucks area! Make sure you're not lookin' for a brick & mortar!
