For me, it’s simply the best bread in town — nothing else tastes quite like it. It’s tradition that has been passed down through generations. And the staff make it even more special: the three lovely ladies who work there create such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. They know their customers, advise you with care, and make every visit a great experience, not just a great product.

This shop is one of the pleasant surprises that you might come upon, while walking on the streets of Barcelona : an 120 old, traditional, small bakery, still keeping some of the original elegant decoration and still producing high quality bread and all kinds of pastries and cakes. 🍪🍩🍰🥧 Personal favorites: huge croissants dipped in dark chocolate!

I should barely be allowed to comment as I went in there early one morning before 7am (I like to walk super early) and bought a couple of sandwiches... maybe not the best litmus test for a bakery at 7am. The sandwiches were great in that minimalist European sandwich way. No sarcasm or snideness intended... I LOVE some fresh baked baguette or mini baguette in this case with just butter (or tomato shmere in this case) and a little ham and maybe (if you want to get crazy!) a slice of cheese. Anyway... bought a couple, loved them... but I gotta say that the lady behind the counter vibed me like she'd rather I wasn't there. Maybe she was just being reserved or maybe just kinda busy (it didn't seem all that busy but maybe the croissant timer just went off or something).
