Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Exceeded all expectations; we’ll definitely be back! We visited Fleming’s Steakhouse in Palo Alto and were genuinely blown away. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were just as impressive rich, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we’ve had. A huge shoutout to Ellen, who gave us the best service. Attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations that took the experience to the next level. Our favorites: Prime dry-aged ribeye (incredible flavor) Brussels sprouts Gratin potatoes Chocolate cake with the BEST whipped cream We’ll 100% be coming back soon especially for their Tomahawk Tuesday. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a great dinner, date night, or special celebration.

Absolutely the best service, food and atmosphere. Our waitress was Melanie and she was the kindest and most thoughtful person my husband and I have encountered in the state of California. We’re from Alabama and it has been a huge culture shock, but not here with her. Highly recommend. Best steak EVER!! Thanks so much!

The food and the service were excellent this time. The first time I went to this location our waiter was not nice at all. He seemed annoyed that he had to wait on us. This time the staff was super nice.

This is our favorite place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They make it so special, from the little hearts confetti on the table, to the free toasting champagne, the complimentary chocolate covered strawberries, and little box of chocolates at the end, everything was perfect! The steaks were delicious and they have a great wine list too! And a shoutout to Daniel our server!

Went for Valentine's Day. I had been here once before and thought the food was good. However, this visit was different. The bread wasn't good. We hated the red butter, and the champagne butter was so salty, it was inedible. There were 2 slices of what appeared to be dried prosciutto on the salad that was also extremely salty. We ordered steaks, and the waitress convinced us to get it medium. It was bloody, then she took mine back to get it medium well, and it was still undone. She offered to take it back again, but I told her that we would just take it home and cook it....which I did. The au gratin potatoes also had an off-putting flavor. I brought it home and tried to hide that flavor, but nothing helped,except eating it with the meat on top. After some cooking at home, the meat was perfect. It was seasoned very well. Overall, the service was great, our drinks were great, but the meal was awful.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner! Our table was decorated with confetti and a sweet note, and even though we arrived early, we were seated right away. A huge thank you to Luis for making our evening so special and to our server, Eliazer, for the outstanding service. The entire staff went above and beyond—we truly felt celebrated. Highly recommend!

10⭐️for service. The staff are friendly, helpful and super efficient. Appetizers were tasty. Bread and butter was super delicious. My serving of mignon was redder than I usually take it, but it was well prepared. Very tender, moist and with the right amount of seasoning. Chocolate cake was excellent, carrot cake was good, though a little too sweet and could use a bit more nuts and some raisins. Come for the food. Come again because the service is excellent.

The service is very efficient and friendly, and the food is delicious and varied. I loved the complimentary bread basket and dips! The only downside is that the atmosphere can be a bit noisy, but the great food and service make it worth it. Highly recommended!

Wow- it's been years since I've been here. Mostly to stay away from the crazy mall parking chaos. But I was grazing a few things and I loved them all! Mac n cheese Fried Brussels sprouts Potatos au gratin Five star! Perfect!

My steak had way too much fat and elastin (connective-tissue) within my cut which made it hard to eat. Literally, a quarter of my steak could not be eaten and made for a bad dining experience and an ugly plate to look at after I was done with my chewy bone-in ribeye. I likely won't return, given there are many other fine steakhouse options in the Bay Area, and I cannot risk another $200+. On the positive side, our waitress was friendly, took a lot of pictures for us, and managed to secure some delicious birthday truffles for my Mom!

I've been to better steak restaurants. Came for a party of 8 and this was only my 2nd time at Flemings. I got the, dry aged ribeye, medium rare, topped with the truffle lobster. The lobster was over cooked and tough. The steak was cooked perfect but lacked seasoning. The person I sat next to topped his steak with the Diablo Shrimp. The shrimp was spicy and well cooked, one of the best things I ate. We ordered a ton of side dishes, my personal favorite was the Cream Spinach. We ordered almost all the deserts, the best one was the, Olive Oil Cake. This was so good we ordered 2. The edges were crispy and the center was moist. The berries were delicious. Service they could improve the most. We were not frequently checked in on and I had to ask for more water. The lack of enthusiasm was disappointing. The ambiance was ok. Dim lit as expected, the bar had adequate TVs and the place looked clean and luxurious. I might come back but there are other steak restaurants I would rather go to.

My parents came here for date night and could not stop raving about it so they brought me here for my birthday! To start, our waitress was absolutely amazing, extremely tentative, nice, and consistently made sure everything is ok. Their Tuesday deal is SO worth! Each person gets an appetizer, entree, and dessert. They even had special birthday arrangements! Really happy to have celebrated here!

When I dined at Fleming's Steakhouse, we had a nice experience. The food was classic and well-prepared, with tasty steaks and decent sides. The service was wonderful; our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance was enjoyable as well, creating a comfortable setting for dinner. Came here for my boyfriend's birthday dinner and I love the personalized touches of the birthday card and confetti. However, we were seated at table near other tables so it felt very cramped. There was a party next to us and they were all sitting with their chairs sprawled back so it felt like we barely had any room, let alone room for servers to delivery our food. We ordered drinks and appetizers but our main courses took a while to come out. By the time our main dishes came out, we were all full from the bread and appetizers. I wish the food didn't come out so late but other than that, our server was so nice and kept giving us updates when our food was coming.

After hours of shopping for Christmas gifts we had dinner here. The place was warm and in the Christmas spirit however, some of the orders were under cooked and cold as well.

We took my son last week for his last night before shipping out to Air Force Special Warfare boot camp. Lauren helped us and our experience was world-class. She did everything perfectly, clearly a polished veteran. She thanked my son for his service and seemed genuine about it. She also gave him a free dessert and some truffles which he appreciated because no sugar at SpecWar boot camp. The host took our photo and printed it and framed it for us since it was a special occasion (just handed it over, nothing like tourist areas like: 'this will cost you $30, etc). Felt very classy. All the food was great, and we felt like VIPs. My son and I shared the tomahawk. Thanks so much Lauren and staff. Great experience, and wonderful sendoff for my son. Godspeed, Airman!

We were there on a Wednesday evening. They were not busy, the service wasn't top notch at it normally is. Our server just wasn't great. Simple things like refilling our drinks. Maybe they're used to a older crowd where they aren't really in a rush. This was our 2nd time to this location. Going forward, we will probably just stick to the santa clara location. We spent over $200 on our Wednesday dinner out... for that price, they should be on point!

It was our first time at Fleming's, this place was recommended by a friend. We came to celebrate my son's BDay. Everything was great- from atmosphere to food to service. Our server was Morgan S. - 5 stars! She was checking on us from time to time to make sure we are ok but not too often so we can have a conversation :) Dry aged prime rib and Wagy A 5 were delicious! My favorite side dish was gratin and fried mushrooms. So many choices. We definitely will be back.

I bought a gift card here the other night and the service I got from the front desk host was not warm and friendly at all. While that attitude was very discouraging, I still bought a generous gift card for a family member here.

The food was incredible and the service from Sarah was top shelf! You can't beat the ambiance. Cyrus the GM came over and wished us a Happy Anniversary and sprinkled red confetti hearts on our table. Both Sarah and Cyrus we both very personable and freely chatted with us which we appreciated. We have have never been disappointed at Fleming's but our service this year was the best!

Came here for my birthday, because my friend kept on raving about it. We got the ribeye, Ny, mushrooms, and loaded baked potato. Both steaks were cooked well, but could have used more seasoning, and was a bit tough, usually when you eat a steak, it should melt in your mouth. The sautéed mushrooms were excellent as well as the baked potato. Also the baked potato was a huge size. The service was excellent, the workers were extremely, polite, nice, and often would clean our table. The ambiance was amazing as well, felt like a classy steakhouse. In total, we paid around $200, which is reasonable price for other steakhouses. In my opinion, I like Lb steakhouse a little bit more, because the steaks seem more tender and prices there a bit cheaper.

We come here every 6 months. Same friends same crew, we have been doing this for almost 11 years. We just want good food and amazing service. Tonight wasn't so great. I don't know if our waitress was new or a bad night for her, it's ok. Stuff happens. The chef was on point with the steaks tonight, had the medium rare steak on point!! The food was amazing the atmosphere was on point. I would still recommend this place!! Steak was amazing

Came into Flemings on a random evening and the restaurant was just for us! Service was great, quick, attentive. Food was delicious and cooked so well. I was enjoying the burrata and prosciutto which tasted fresh and the perfect balanced bite to get the meal started. The steak was cooked just now we like it, medium rare, it was juicy, tender, not too salty. The salmon was amazing, tasted a bit sweet, perfectly glazed. Both paired well with the Mac n cheese. Wish we tried the butter cake though!

Amazing dinner, awesome service, thank you Octavio (hope I spelled that right). Went for a friend's birthday, my ribeye and lobster tail were delicious, we ordered a few sides and a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious. Our server was very attentive as well. Looking forward to coming back.

I'm never disappointed here! Such great food and drinks! I was here Saturday 11/23 and the wonderful waitress Gabriella was so attentive and sweet! She was our waitress last time a few months ago as well. Great hamburgers/Fries/Scallops/Calamari and nice wines! Thank you Gabriella!

Nothing but great service and great food! We came here for our anniversary and let them know ahead of time when we made the reservation. We were seated right away and they had an anniversary card and heart-shaped confetti sprinkled on the table waiting for us. We are not big alcohol drinkers so we did not order wine, but they gave us complimentary champagne to still toast our 9 year anniversary. On top of that, they also brought out chocolate truffles to end our night. What a nice touch. We had a fabulous burrata and prosciutto appetizer, we each had steaks (filet mignon and ribeye) and split a side of their smooth and creamy mashed potatoes. Everything was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfect. It was a fabulous dinner and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We felt so special thanks to their hospitality. Thank you Flemings!

I went and had dinner with my boyfriend for New Year's Eve. They were having a busy day and longer wait time for the food. Which was okay as me and my boyfriend were just enjoying time. I ordered the pork chop and it was over done. I didn't want to say anything because I understood what was the cause but then the waiter saw my facial expression. When I said something Diego the manager was the BEST. He came out offering me another meat to eat with NO charge and to take off the porch chop I got from the bill with two champaign glasses. The waiter got me TWO free deserts. I wish I got his name so I can give him credit as well. I had a WONDERFUL Experience With the help and even overall just to start with. 10/10

Two days after my initial review, restaurant operating partner Cyrus Khayat reached out in email and phone call. . He was eager and attentive to hear my feedback. I am very impressed by this. My family and I plan to return and give Fleming's another try.

first time to flemings in forever! came here for a wedding and it was so nice to hang out in the air conditioning the service was good, really attentive, and i had the miso glazed chilean sea bass which was melt in your mouth delicious!

Nice place, food is great! Service is real good in the bar, have not sat at a table yet! The ambiance is nice! It has the steakhouse feel and the tables are very clean. Can't wait for the new restaurant to open in Roseville Ca.

The food was tasteless, and the meat was dry. The Chilean bass was also lacking in flavor. The main server was unhelpful, but the trainee server showed more compassion. Based on our experience, I would rate this from five stars to zero. Considering the amount we paid, it was not worth it. We will never return.

I love getting Happy Hour at Flemings! My favorite item to get is the burger with fries. It is my favorite and its always so flavorful and juicy! The Flemings potato's are a must try and my favorite drink to order is the Blueberry Lemon Drop! Parking is a struggle here since it is at the Stanford Shopping Center :(

First timer at Fleming's Steakhouse for my bday dinner and it was nothing short of an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed. The genuine hospitality added a personal touch that made the dining experience memorable. They even added happy birthday confetti on our table! Now, let's talk about the food! We started off with the buratta with prosciutto. The buratta cheese was creamy paired great with the saltiness of the cured pork and with a bed of lightly oil dressed arugula. Delicious! Main course: I end up with a prime New York strip and the wifey got her prime dry aged ribeye (not in picture). Both cuts were delicious and cooked perfectly (medium rare). We also ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts with bacon and mashed potatoes with lobster as our side dishes. Everything complemented one another and every bite was magical. Highly recommend the lobster mashed potatoes. To top it off, our server (Arturo) was more than amazing. He went out of his way to make sure we had the best dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a night out, Fleming's Steakhouse sets the bar high for exceptional service and delicious foods. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience!

Flemings has an amazing happy hour. I love martinis (dry, extra dirty with extra olives). They were made perfectly (chef's kiss) and even had the olives with blue cheese. The happy hour menu is extensive and there are so many options to choose from. We had the sliders and the shrimp, but are planning to go back and try more items. special shout out to the manager for his hospitality.

Easily reserved Christmas Eve dinner for the patio. The location was warm and quiet. Hostess was professional and courteous and we were seated promptly. Restaurant was full and festive. Ordered cocktails and started with onion soup and prawn appetizer. Soup was hot and shrimp substantial. Entrees were filets and NY strip, one with crab. Sides of brussell sprouts, lobster mash potatoes and baked potatoes. Our meal was prepared beyond satisfaction and enjoyed with Justin Cabernet. The ease of reservation, the professionalism of the hostess staff, the festive atmosphere, our table location and exceptional food and beverage made for a wonderful experience that it was hardly noticeable our server was inattentive. The table service was not bad nor was it great but either way we had an enjoyable evening.

Oh dear, I had come to Fleming's years ago as a kid--was excited to return as an adult to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend. I think we just came in on a bad night. (Sunday with a 6:45PM reservation.) Pros: The server was very kind, attention to detail for it being an anniversary dinner, cocktails, creme brûlée (taste, not presentation), lobster mac, bread and pumpkin butter Cons: Steak (ouch), the wait time, presentation of food, misleading communication of a free drink (was charged anyway) I appreciate the cute rose petals and Happy Anniversary card from the restaurant. It was a very sweet gesture which was probably the most memorable, along with their complimentary truffles. My boyfriend's NY strip was overcooked and my filet mignon was way too rare. We both asked for medium rare. Why was there so much inconsistency? My filet mignon was tough to cut and way too bloody. My boyfriend also asked to enhance the steak with crab meat, which they almost forgot--I had to remind them. Oof. Turns out, there was some miscommunication with the server and the kitchen. Although we were promised the starters to come out first, we ended up getting all the food at once. I appreciate our server (and the owner?) for stopping by to apologize for the error. We were waiting for our starter for almost 30 minutes, and it was only one item: the pork belly. Yikes. (Sad to report: pork belly wasn't that good.) With the apology, the server asked if we wanted another drink. I was led to believe that their apology coupled with their offer of another drink would be on the house. It wasn't. Not the biggest deal in the world, but was a rather misleading statement. Sad to say--the sides were much more memorable than the steaks. I recommend the Fleming's potatoes and the lobster mac and cheese. Even then, the mac and cheese runs a bit watery. The bread and their seasonal pumpkin butter was quite memorable, though. I'd eat that again. I ordered a creme brûlée to-go and the server made mention how the creme brûlée would already have a cracked topping. I said that was fine. For this being a rather pricey steakhouse--I was SHOCKED their creme brûlée didn't at least have some type of paper ramekin or paper to hold the dessert together. It quite literally looked like they dropped the creme brûlée and it splattered ALL OVER the plastic container. Very sloppy. It was delicious, but the lack of care was not doing it for me. With ordering 3 cocktails, a NY strip topped with crab, their regular filet mignon, Fleming's potatoes, lobster mac and cheese, pork belly starter, a cheesecake (to-go), and creme brulee (also to-go) --I paid a grand total (w/ 18% tip): $305.07. Not worth the high price point. Sad to report I don't plan to come back anytime soon. Thank you for doing the best you could for our anniversary, Flemings! Please make an effort to be better.

I was blown away by my experience at Fleming's today. My partner and I came to celebrate our anniversary. We had mentioned it on our online reservation, but we did not think that the restaurant would actually do anything. From the moment we sat down, we were continuously showered with small gestures, such as a free framed photo, thank you card, champagne, chocolate truffle, cute heart confetti on our table, and more. My partner surprised me with this dinner, so I did not see any of it coming. It was very sweet of Fleming's to create such a memorable anniversary dinner for us. Special shout-out to the host Brittany for seating us, taking our picture, and acknowledging our anniversary. It all started because of her! Another shout-out to our wonderful server, Dang L, who took great care of us and always checked in on us to see how we were doing. He had really good timing. Dang was fantastic server and I would love to have him again one day! He was very friendly, attentive, and prompt. Great energy and vibes from him. Food-wise, we came for Tomahawk Tuesday and got the sliced porterhouse to share, Fleming's salad, Caesar salad, Fleming's potatoes, and crispy brussel sprouts with bacon. I loved everything about my meal! It was $163 after tax and before tip. Truthfully, I think the service stood out more to me this time. FYI we came on a Tuesday at 5pm when it was less busy.

FOOD POISONING ALERT: My fiance and I ate here yesterday. He ordered the dry aged ribeye and spent the whole night throwing up. I had a few bites of his food and felt absolutely terrible too. Avoid this location!! Had to take the day off of work after our experience here. I have submitted this information to the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department-- hopefully they can intervene as this seems to be a recurring issue.

Most food was delicious. Service was poor. No elegance. Did not clear table properly as dinner progressed. We got there early expecting better service but it seemed as if they either were not ready (there was only 2 tables if people at 5:00. We went to the bar to wait for our table no one came so I hunted down the head person and he said oh you didn't come to the front to check? I told him I expected someone to come tell us when our table was ready. We had to input own Fri is and bottle of wine to the dining room... For my money I would much rather eat at Selby's or Sundance for much better service. We won't go back.

I am giving 2 stars because the service was great! The food not so much. The apps had tons of sauces and stuff on them and they cover the food up. Steak was overpriced and not good, cheap quality. We bought one bottle of wine, there were 4 of us and our bill was $700+. Insane for the quality. Felt like an upscale Outback. Didn't help that the table was in a banquet room. They need to simplify the menu and bring out calamari that isn't covered in sweet sauce. Or tartare covered in avocado.

We had the Seabass and ribeye, the food was out of this world. It's expensive but it's worth it. The service also exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend.

Very happy first timers here! We heard great things and we were very pleased with our experience. They decorated the table for my birthday which made me feel so special. It is hard to find restaurants to do this ! They give you complimentary bread and 2 yummy spreads of butter. We started with some oysters and drinks. Their blueberry lemon drop is to die for ! My boyfriend got the ribeye and I got the filet mignon and they were both perfect. We were very happy with what we ordered. My steak was like butter and just melted in your mouth. We got the potatoes too on the side and those were good too. Finally we finished off with their strawberry butter cake which was devine! When we got the bill we were also gifted with 4 truffles in a box to take home and I thought that was so cute! A little pricey of course but perfect for special occasions. Lance was the best server ever !

Love coming here during happy hour or after work for drinks and dinner. The ambiance and vibe is always right at the bar and love the sweet brunette bartender that is there when I come in. The food is always chefs kiss whether it's a steak or appetizer so I am definitely a regular that doesn't think twice about coming in.

Had an excellent Christmas Eve meal here even though the restaurant was packed and a little crazy! I am hard of hearing and I requested a booth and they made sure I git one! Our waiter was excellent-professional and kept checking on us-his name was Lance. They have really raised their prices quite a bit since I was last there but the food was excellent and the service the best.

We celebrated my wife's birthday last night. She had the Filet Mignon & One Pound Rock Lobster Tail. I had the Prime Bone-In Ribeye. We also ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke Stack, Creamed Spinach, Baked Potato Plain or Loaded, New York Cheesecake, and Caymus. The waiters were friendly and professional.

We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary this past week. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, but a major shout-out to our waiter, David, who made the whole experience really special. You don't often get that kind of service anymore, which is a shame because it makes a real difference. David was professional, attentive, and made us feel like valued customers. The food was excellent. I had the fillet, a baked potato and Caesar salad. The salad was the best Caesar I think I've ever had. The fillet was perfectly done, the baked potato was great with a crisp skin. I really can't say enough good things! I had the New York cheesecake for dessert and that, too was excellent.

Not impressed. The seafood tower was incredibly salty. The waiter asked if we wanted bread service and we said sure. We received ONE roll (for the three of us). Very awkward. I had to ask for cocktail sauce because the runner forgot to include it. Music was V E R Y loud We asked to be seated in a quieter section but music was playing in that section as well. We're not talking about soft piano music; I believe it was "She Works Hard for the Money." My husband and brother in law both loved their steaks and apps. I chose scallops which were just OK. Six scallops in some sauce. All side dishes are a la carte, which of course we understand. The bill came to $474 for the three of us and the receipt indicated we shoud give a $90 tip. Part of the issue about our experience had nothing to do with Fleming's but rather the three big parties surrounding us. There was a table of a dozen young women celebrating a birthday, and as the evening progressed they became louder and louder. I would give Fleming's another chance; but for the amount of money we spent, I expected a higher level dining experience.

Great food, service and ambience. One of my favorite Steakhouses in the Bay Area! Steaks are USDA Prime and cooked to perfection! The side dishes are always a great complement to the steaks!

Stopped by for happy hour and location was lightly filled. Service was very attentive and they had a couple options for light appetizers and a lot more drink options available. The price points were a bit higher, though to be expected for a high end steakhouse. The calamari was excellent and a good portion size for the price. Ambiance in the bar area was quiet and allowed us to hold a conversation without needing to speak loudly.

I have a friend who LOVES Fleming's, and how can you blame him? This was his choice for our steakhouse night out. Well, generally speaking, we had another really good experience, as always, at Fleming's. Dinner, drinks and service from 'David I' were all top shelf. The Caesar salad to start was tasty and refreshing, romaine, parmesan, fried capers, and crispy prosciutto. Can never go wrong with the petite filet, which was cooked perfectly to my specifications, medium/rare. It was flavorful and the ideal temperature. Sides: the Fleming's potatoes hit the spot as did the crispy brussels sprouts, two of my favorites. They also made a few (okay SEVERAL) icy cold dirty martinis, with 3 -bleu cheese olives. Why not 5 stars? Someone in my group asked for the house wine and they got served a Trefethen Dragon's Tooth Red Blend wine at $25/glass, we did not complain when the bill came, but that is NOT their house wine. Despite the wine oddity, it was a great night out with friends.

We arrived here after a very long drive from out of town. We were a little under dressed but the staff and service were amazing and made us feel right at home. The drinks were perfect and so was the food. The steak was cooked properly and the king crab was not overcooked. We will be back for sure!

I have been to other Flemings locations and had a great experience so was disappointed in the Palo Alto location. My elderly father and I were relegated to a dark 4-top table and largely ignored at 5:00 pm, a reservation I'd made weeks in advance. I had to request the two extra place settings be removed. Our waiter was friendly but disinterested, never checked to see how we were or if we'd like more of anything. Our prime medium rare NY steaks were over cooked, the baked potato was clearly from the day before ( room temp and hard). The whole experience will cause me to go to Ruth's Chris for the next gift I give to my Dad.
