As a former pastry cook, I'm always in the lookout for new pastry stores. When I saw a couple of pictures from people who had visited Fleur Sauvage, I knew I had to visit them, and I'm so happy I did!
The store is as cute as it gets: it's small, with three or four tables and a couple of bar stools, super clean, and with beautiful dinnerware. Not only that, but it's located in a corner that gets a ton of sunlight, which makes it very inviting for staying and drinking some coffee with your dessert of choice.
The service was lovely, and we felt welcome the second we came in. While they were taking care of the customers before us, they were apologetic about the wait (but they were preparing three bonbon boxes at lightning speed, so there was honestly nothing to be sorry about!), and when it was our turn they were super nice.
As for the desserts: they're amazing in every way. The presentation for all of their mini cakes is beautiful, and the ones we tried (S'mores tart and hazelnut mousse) were outstanding. The hazelnut mousse cake had two mousses inside, both delicious, and a crunchy feuilletine base, and the S'mores tart had an amazing chocolate cremeux hidden by the delicious torched meringue. We also tried the pistachio bonbon (the most delicious pistachio bonbon I've had in years; the contrast of the dark chocolate shell with the white chocolate pistachio ganache was lovely), the 70% chocolate ganache bonbon (silky smooth and delightful), and the crunchy caramel pearls chocolate bar (crispy and yummy, what more could you want?).
Even if you don't live that close to Fleur Sauvage Chocolates, make sure you make a day trip to visit them (and enjoy the beauty of Sonoma County), it's totally worth it.
