"Nashville Coop specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken, served in strips, sandwich, or Texas toast form. Heat is densely packed into this chicken’s breading, but the level of spice is customizable: The MN Nice chicken accommodates those with a low capsaicin tolerance while the Cluckin’ Hot guarantees “24 hour pain.”" - Justine Jones, Joy Summers

"Pleasantly surprised!!" Never judge a book by its cover...We've driven past Flew the Coop since it opened and chalked it up to another fast food spot, and decided to keep on driving. BOY, WE WERE WRONG!! It's a real Nashville style chicken restaurant. Side options and all. The food is freshly made while you wait (it might take some time to prepare your order). It's absolutely delicious!! The staff is friendly and helpful. The interior feels like a road trip stop joint, loaded with red, black, and white themed decorations. I had the chicken sandwich (medium level), and it was perfect, just a smidgen of heat. My wife had a grilled chicken meal mild. She liked the fried okra. We were both very happy with our meals and will definitely be back.

Got here at 8:45 pm, still greeted us and served us. I used to work in fast food and I know how difficult it could be to serve someone when you’re fixing to close. Chicken was great, sweet potato tots were good, okra was great. They ran out of Mac n cheese, which we really wanted to try. But I gave 5 stars because of attitude and taste.

Arrived 5:45 Counter service was good Ordered 1 Chicken Sandwich as we wanted to see the quality before we ordered more. 1 Strawberry lemonade in a big Jar Chicken sandwich came out fresh n hot. We got the Mild Spice and it was still a little spicy so be aware. Juicy breast meat, very, very hot on a nice brioche bun with a good slaw and pickles. The fries are a cross between chips and french fries. Haven't had anything similar since we were in Spain. I LOVED these fries!!! A++ 2 sauces on the side, both tasty. A Chicken super crisp and flavorful. A+ We ordered a NY Hot Dog and it was also great. Good snap to the dog and awesome, spicy-sharp mustard. Onions and Sankranti as well as mayonnaise. A Lemonade was delicious but not something we'd get often. Red color and tons of Hugh Fructose Corn Syrup. Definitely a splurge. Pricey too. B Overall I would definitely recommend FTC if you like spicy Nashville Sytle Chicken Sandwiches or great hot dogs. Not cheap, but good and worth every penny. Decor is simple and effective.

I've been to many Nashville hot chicken places, and this stands head and shoulders above the rest in recent memory. The chicken sizes are huge, and the batter is perfectly crisp and seasoned. The spice levels seem to skew towards the milder side. The medium spice level tasted more like mild. The sides are great with good portion sizes. The fried okra and french fries were especially good. The macaroni and cheese was decent but the cheese could use a bit more complexity. The banana cream pie was probably the weakest part of this dinner. The pie was okay but could use a more substantial banana base. But since this is a chicken place, I'm giving it five stars because the chicken is seriously that good.

This was a fantastic find! A great stop on our way into Sedona. I ordered the Sammie with a medium heat level and it was perfect. It wasn't melt your mouth hot, but enough heat to cut through creamy coleslaw. The portion is plentiful; essentiallyvtwo chicken breasts. Highly recommend making a pit stop if you are traveling down the 17.

On our way home from Flagstaff and the kids were hungry. I took the I-260 exit from the I-17 (forgot the exit number, but business is located on north east sector of exit) as we saw signs for multiple eateries. Kids decided on trying Flew the Coop. They made a good choice. Friendly and polite staff. Food came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Z chose the fried chicken Ceasar salad and D opted for the mild chicken tenders, both orders came with fries/wedges. I had their sweet potato tots. Z was so happy with his salad, and it was the perfect size for him. D opted for the tenders and we were surprised when they came out as they were larger than what she's used to eating as a serving size. Not only that, at first she was hesitant about eating them as she thought they were spicy, it's just the color of the seasoning. She ended loving them; however, she couldn't finish as they were a bit to big for her. For me, the tots hit the spot just right. The nice thing about this establishment is that as you enter, you order your regular hot meals at the counter. Then, they have another section of the store that serves their frozen deserts and has a slightly different vibe, yet it's the same business.

The good was absolutely magnificent. I loved the sandwich and even the fries were the finest. I love out of state, but sure anytime I’m around, I’ll try to eat in this place again. Prices are also very low compared to the high quality products you’ll get.

Oh yes finally a true Nashville hot chicken experience. We're from Nashville and this is the best I've seen. Had the small chicken sandwich hot. Spice was perfect, nice burn. Spice is in the crunchy batter (it's in the oil in Nashville) but batter was good and chicken juicy. Fried okra oh yes just excellent with a homemade ranch for dipping (perfect). Pineapple coleslaw was better than regular and I don't usually like pineapple but it wasn't overwhelming, just nice sweet flavor which balanced the spicy. Want to try the fried pickles next time, looked good at another guys table. They also have Chicago hot dogs and chicken salad sandwich for the spice averse, and ice cream! Absolutely will return. In fact can't wait. Wish I'd found this place earlier. We ate at a fast food last time thru Camp Verde and could have eaten here!! My new number 1 on 17 North!!!
