Whether you’re just visiting or living in GR, FlexCity Fitness is a Michigan based circuit-training concept gym that combines treadmill running, cycling, and strength training into a solid 55 minute workout to burn off all those bad decisions you made last night. This studio is approachable and friendly to all levels."

Love this full body, high intensity workout where you’re really challenged to work your hardest- giving amazing results. It’s also great for all levels of fitness as the instructors give modifications and remind you to listen to your body. Wouldn’t work out anywhere else, because there’s nothing else like it. Awesome instructors and fantastic bang for your buck. Highly recommend if you’re looking for variety and results.

Flex is an awesome high intensity workout. What I love the most is that each class is different and you don't know what it is going to be until you are there, therefore there is no time to talk yourself out of going! It is a group setting which pushes you to keep up with the rest of the class, but it is also created so you can work at your own pace. The staff is incredibly friendly and they treat you as friends. LOVE IT AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are looking to get your butt kicked!

I've played sports my entire life (softball, basketball, and volleyball) therefore I love the aspect of a challenge when I workout. Flex is an intense circuit based workout where you are constantly moving and challenging your body in multiple ways through various activities where the class you attend is different every day. I really enjoy my work outs here and you surely leave as a sweaty mess so you know you got your money's worth!

I absolutely love FlexCity Fitness! The motivation, passion, and variety you receive in each workout is incredible. You will find yourself having a great community to motivate you to be your best. Doing these workouts has me in the best shape ever. Combining cardio, flexibility, and strength training! Flex provides a full body workout in an hour which leaves you feeling accomplished afterwards! Workouts are fun, challenging, and unique. Each class offers a different piece of equipment and the instructors do a great job of focusing on each movement associated with that equipment. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite fitness class in town; I've tried MVP and Les Mills group classes and nothing comes close to the total body workout that you get at Flex. Not only is it different every time you attend class, but also each instructor has their own personal style (and soundtrack) to help you target those tough areas and increase your cardio stamina. I've been a regular "flexer" since the Grand Rapids location opened - I've dropped, inches, pounds, and seen my strength increase and my mile time decrease. Can't recommend this studio enough.

One of the best workouts around! I constantly sweat the whole class! I also love that flex doesn't use body shaming jargon like " work off that dessert last night" like some other gyms do! They make you feel strong & confident in your body!

I really like this place! This is a HIIT type workout that switches between, treadmill, floor work and spin. The pace is quick and you definitely will be sweating. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable if you have any injuries that need modifications. Make sure you sign up for class beforehand so they can plan the workout accordingly. You'll want water and a towel!

I went with a friend to try FLEXCity for free. I had never done this type of workout, so I wasn't sure what to expect. FLEXCity specializes in interval-based fitness training, incorporating strength training, cardio, and flexibility into each class. Every class is different, but in the class I went to, we did spinning, running on a treadmill, floor-based strength exercises and TRX. You are constantly moving and rotating to different exercises - you never do any one exercise for more than about 3-5 minutes. The instructor, Cora, was awesome at keeping everyone on track and focused on each activity. She was really helpful and even showed me around the machines before class so I knew what to expect. Overall, I had way more fun than I was expecting but I was definitely incredibly sore for several days after! It's a unique and fun way to get in a workout! Note, the Grand Rapids location has a large parking lot in back but they like you to use the front entrance. Get there 10 minutes before your first class so the instructor can show you around and don't forget a towel... you're gonna sweat.

Holy moley. What a workout! As a dance instructor, I'm always looking for places to cross-train. I usually don't do traditional workouts (treadmills, ellipticals, etc.) so the set up threw me off a little bit stepping through the doors. FLEXcity focuses on HIIT workouts, which can be intense, especially if you've never done a workout like that before. Every class is different so you don't get in a rut of doing the same thing every time. The class I was in broke us off in pairs to complete a circuit workout. It was refreshing an attainable; we only stayed at stations for three minutes at a time, so even though it was hard, we knew it was only for a short period of time. There was plenty of room for modifications if we needed to give our bodies a little break. Kit, the instructor, was friendly and professional. She struck the perfect balance of being encouraging and pushing us to our limits and making sure that everyone in the class was practicing good form in order to prevent injury and to help us get the most out of our workout. I walked away from class drenched and glowing. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're looking for a consistently good workout, a solid place for cross-training, and a gym focused on giving its clients what they're looking for.

In town for work and gave Flex City a try-it's literally my favorite workout ever. At home I alternate between HIIT and Barre classes and this combines the two. The class is structured in interval formats-cardio and strength. You'll always get your cardio in and sometimes you'll do barre exercises for the strength, I've also gotten my butt kicked here using the TRX. Overall highly efficient fun workout with great instructors. I was super impressed by how they motivated and kept everyone on track. Flex City-you're the best, please open a California location :)!
