Excellent selection, had the matching mommy/baby set I couldn't find anywhere else in the city. Kristen was so patient and helpful and clearly has passion for the store.

Decent quality items, bad service. My wife and I visited today, and among the 5 people there, she was the only one followed and approached. Mind you, she's Asian, and the other women were Caucasian. Obviously, she could tell they weren't just friendly, and left feeling discriminated. We were there to get our new born a cute outfit, sadly I think we will never return. You should never shop where you feel discriminated. Will definitely let all my neighbors and friends know as well. Disappointed that this was going to be our neighborhood store. Smh.

I went a couple of days ago, and this store is so well curated. I have a 9-year-old daughter, and if I take her here, I will go broke. :) I bought three items for her -- an adorable light blue linen dress, a handbag, and a one of a kind bomber jacket. The woman behind the counter is so nice, and doesn't write people off by guessing what they can afford. She noticed the things I liked and commented on, so she recommended the PERFECT jacket. When I surprised my daughter with it, she screamed! It was the best day. I'll definitely be back.

Flicka is and has always been my favorite children's store in all of Los Angeles. You cannot beat the beautiful selection and the wonderful customer service. This family-owned, small business is a landmark on Larchmont and is one of the adorable places to shop for a baby shower, nephew's birthday, etc. I love this store so much!!!

My favorite store in L.A. for little ones, they have one of the best selection around for kids clothing!

Local, very well curated children's store.

Yelp
I heard about this amazing store in a traditional manner: word of mouth. I traveled to Gorgeous Larchmont Boulevard, and was greeted by some of the friendliest people I've ever met in the retail industry! Having worked in this line for several years in the past, there's a difference between "good customer service" and people that are legitimately kind and enjoy what they do. And extremely talented! I bought the most creative and gorgeous Christmas gift for my little niece, and literally am more excited than I've been in years to see her open it. If you want creative, stylish, and high-quality boutique clothing items for your children, I'm going to declare this is the best place in the world I've ever been. Fun fact: the name of the store is "Girl" in Swedish! (They have lots of clothing for boys too). Come down, enjoy Larchmont Blvd, and stop by Flicka, even just for a look. Happy Holidays!

Yelp
I live really close to Larchmont, and I'm constantly amazed by the relative shittiness of its newer shops, just expensive real estate occupied by chain stores and juiceries and whatever temporary ugly clothing and as-seen-on-TV junk the landlords slot into the spaces without high-paying tenants. With places like Pickett Fences and the old Landis kids' store closed, Flicka remains one of the only boutiques on the street with long-standing neighborhood charm. I believe they've been around for about 30 years. I'm in the middle of my baby years--about to have my second, with a lot of friends who are one, two, even three kids deep. I do buy a lot of my son's gear online, particularly the basics (going to stores wasn't even a thing for the first year of his life), but I really like shopping for his nicer clothes in person. I went to Flicka for the first time to get him an outfit for my cousin's rehearsal dinner last May, and I walked out with a couple of beautiful lineny outfits that he has, of course, long outgrown. I went again earlier this month and bought clothes for him and several of his new baby friends on the East Coast, who we met for the first time last week. I spent a lot of time and money, but no regrets. The store is cute, well stocked, and logically organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I was able to find something for every kid on my list, as well as a neat little haul for my boy. I think I'll make a point of stopping into Flicka whenever I walk by. Could become an expensive habit, but I like the idea of supporting a local small business while keeping my son looking sharp.

Yelp
Love this place for one main reason - if you are late for an event that requires a kid's present, they find you something quick and wrap it beautifully! They have all price points from books to toys to clothing, but the clothes tend to be on the higher-end. All categories have lots of special and fun items to choose from. The staff are all very nice and always have lots of ideas for gifts.

Yelp
This place is great and has all kinds of special items the kids love going in there and dreaming. I needed a special present and they really delivered a nice tiara beautiful princess cape and a special magic wand. The best part was the gift wrapping. It's beautiful

Yelp
I knew before coming to this store that they're pricey because of the area and the brands they carry. It's ok, either you can afford or want to buy it or not. Just like any other store. I ended up spending almost $200 on two outfits and a pair of shoes. That's fine, I loved everything I bought that day. The very downside to this place is the customer service. While there was an older lady that was so nice at the beginning, after a while it felt like she was following me to make sure I didn't steal anything. Very overwhelming. I'm a very indecisive person when shopping because I don't like coming back to stores to exchange or return things. I definitely didn't feel like I was free to roam around and see and feel everything I wanted to see and feel. The other younger blonde lady is just a complete as*ho*e. She stares a lot and gave me attitude. This person shouldn't work in retail if it's too much for her to be nice enough to welcome customers. Through it all I kept my nice, but did regret spending almost $200 on a small business store where people aren't even nice to you and from the get go see you as suspicious. Maybe because I'm Latina? Because let me tell you, everyone else was white in that store that day and I can assure you that none of those customers bought anything except for a lady who spent like $60 while I was in that store. Never going back. I'd rather go somewhere nice. The options are vast! Take your money elsewhere!!!

Yelp
Flicka dazzled again today. I said, "Hi" when I walked in and the young lady behind the counter replied, "Hi" with a smile. Then she let me look around. I've been in the store before, so I actually appreciate not being jumped at right away. I want to take it all in. Another lady came from the back and asked if I needed help, but I declined and we started chatting while I was perusing the t-shirts (Biggie, Run DMC, Prince, etc.) Then I mentioned that I was worried my daughter (11) had outgrown the store, and she literally became my personal shopper! She explained that the store goes up to size 16, and showed me where I should be looking. The store is extremely well curated, so cute is in no short supply, but she pulled things out for me that would fit my daughter's style. All three of us spoke about the pandemic, about moving abroad, about fashion. Nice is an understatement because this staff willing to do what it takes to help you find what you need. They are on my must visit place when I'm back in town. Don't be put off if they let you look around first. Some people in Larchmont are just looking, and I think the staff respects that. Appreciate the fact that they are pleasant -- not pushy! It felt like I was shopping with friends. PREVIOUS REVIEW FROM TWO YEARS AGO ON GOOGLE: I went a couple of days ago, and this store is so well curated. I have a 9-year-old daughter, and if I take her here, I will go broke. :) I bought three items for her -- an adorable light blue linen dress, a handbag, and a one of a kind bomber jacket with a jeweled pineapple on the back. The woman behind the counter, Jina, is so nice, and she doesn't write people off by guessing what they can afford. She noticed the things I liked and commented on, so she recommended the PERFECT jacket. When I surprised my daughter with it, she screamed! It was the best day. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This charming little shop on Larchmont is a must shop. I've shopped here for many years and love that it's a family business now owned and run by the daughter who is so kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They have great quality product and can whip up a children's gift depending on your needs. They're offering curbside pick up as well if you're in a hurry or worried about popping in. Give them a call with a budget and basic info and get what you need for any special child on your life and feel great about supporting a local community and a small business which is a must. Skip amazon and help a business that will be way more grateful and will give you way better service. Thanks for supporting small and local businesses.

Yelp
I'll begin by agreeing w/ some of the reviews regarding the "cold shoulder" when entering the store. It's a small boutique so I assure you management/staff is well aware of every person who sets foot inside. When I did so, I wasn't greeted. I only came across a woman staring at me. She didn't look like an employee so for a minute I questioned why I was being stared at so much by this individual. It wasn't until my friend purchased something that I realized the woman who enjoys quietly staring, was the employee ringing us up. However, only after purchasing something, did we receive service and she even held open the door for us. Regarding pricing, I don't have any children so I'm not familiar w/ common baby "brands" but their items are def. pricey. Adorable stuff - but very pricey! I peeked at a price-tag for an infant's shirt and it read $90.00. Woah.. I suggest you shop here only if you can afford to do so..and well , if you also don't like getting greeted.

Yelp
Wow I love this store and the staff are so friendly and helpful! They literally have the cutest clothes and accessories for kids. The prices are much more reasonable than other designer kids sellIng retailers. You can't beat this location. Make sure you check out the sale selection. If you like unicorns, lightening bolts, gold, and color for your kids then this store is for you!

Yelp
Very impressed with their customer service. I have been going to them for about 3 years now as they have one of my favorite newborn brands, mayoral. Sadly, mayoral only carries up to size 24m. Anyway, i went back after two years to get something for my daughters first birthday. I had a credit from when I returned some native shoes, about two years ago they mentioned that i could use my credit anytime as long as my name was on their system. I went back today, in hopes of using the credit for my daughters dress. They had changed their computer system and all our information was gone. The younger lady was very helpful, got my information and was going to message the owner to see what my options were. Before i left the store, the owner had given her the ok to still give me that credit to use it at the store. So impressed, they value their customers and their word. The only part I'm sad about is that my daughter is going to be one soon and she's on the bigger side so their mayoral collection won't fit her soon :(

Yelp
I love, love this place! One of the few true children's clothing stores left that offers quality clothing that is age-appropriate. My favorite go-to shop to find something special for all of the little girls in my life. And Kristen and her staff are amazing - offering personal service to help you find just the right thing....all gift wrapped so beautifully. Makes me wish they had something in MY size.

Walsh L.

Yelp
Love the selection here and I would love to buy something from the if at any time I've gone in there someone greeted me or even acknowledged my presence in the store. But that has never happened. I went in today to buy a gift had an item in my hand just trying to get someone to acknowledge me so I could pay for it and no one ever did. Mind you it's extremely slow and a very small store so you almost have to go out of your way to ignore customers. I left without buying anything again.
google avatar

Kris M.

Yelp
First-timer here and I gotta say, such a great place for little girls. Lots of cool toys, stylish clothes all within perfect price range. They even gift wrap here for you. Will come back soon :) If you need any advice, Kristen's very helpful when it comes to gift suggestions. Thanks guys!

Yelp
I adore Flicka! The selection of girls and boys clothes are really the best of the best. They don't have a ton of space and they use it all very wisely. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the owners who are there regularly. I have been shopper at Flicka since my oldest was young (he's in high school now), so I have been there many many times over many many years. I've found that in recent years, the owners have been at the store more often and it's resulted in a more attentive atmosphere. I now get the bulk of my daughter's clothes at Flicka. I frequently am asked where I shop because the items are unique and stylish, while still being appropriate for children. It's very tasteful, with a dash of fun and whimsy mixed in. In short, this is my go to spot for my younger child and for birthday presents (they gift wrap for free and it's the prettiest present you've seen). Enjoy your visit!

Yelp
We came in here looking for a baby sun hat, because we've purchased one here before. The saleswoman helping us was not only unfriendly but seemed irritated that our daughter was running around looking at things and playing with a rubber ball that had been left on the floor. If little kids annoy you, probably best to get out of the little kid clothing business. They do have some neat clothes and toys here, but they're pricey.

Aimee A.

Yelp
I just love this store. I drove all the way from Pasadena to shop here. The sales staff is so patient and kind. Today they even opened up after they had closed for the day since we said Del the window that we had driven from Pasadena. Thanks, Flicka!

Jeni H.

Yelp
Great store for high end, super cute and original baby items! Love the girls here too; the owner is an entertaining character that my baby adored! Thank you for having stroller space! I didn't have a problem navigating my stroller through the store compared to other stores at Larchmont. Since Daddy is a rock musician, I am always dressing my little guy in Dad's rocker style and keeping an eye out for music-related items. The owner here was quick to show me all things Rock n Roll and I loved it!!! I ended up leaving with a really soft, unique baby sweater and a set of rock star bath squirters. Daddy loved it!

Kerrie W.

Yelp
The best part about this boutique is its adorable clothes. Definitely pricey, but cuter styles than I've seen elsewhere. I have to echo the opinion that the employees are rude. I had seen a sign out front stating that there was a sale, but didn't spot the section upon entering the store. I politely asked one employee where the sale was and she responded, "on the back patio." I had seen a back door, but it was closed and looked like I had to walk through an employees only section to get there, so I followed up with, "how can I get there?" She kind of scoffed back "..out the back door?...." and almost chuckled, as if what I had asked was the dumbest question she had heard all day. I stayed around to check out the sale but left empty handed. Is it that hard to be kind?
google avatar

Candice G.

Yelp
They have great finds for kids with style. I have purchased some amazing hats, dresses, shoes, sunglasses...great stuff! The girls behind the counter can be nice or not so nice...depending on what day you go during the month. Regardless, I love what they sell.
google avatar

Clarissa R.

Yelp
This boutique is truly a diamond in the rough. I discovered it a few years ago and was automatically in love with the adorable and stylish clothing and the warm welcome from the staff! Though it is slightly pricy, it's worth every penny!
google avatar

Lesley W.

Yelp
I live for Flicka. Best kids gifts anywhere. And I'm not gonna lie...I wish they made EVERYTHING in my size! for now I'll have to settle for the amazing keychains!
google avatar

Lara L.

Yelp
Only thing I can think of to explain their behavior. What? they don't want to get burned by customers?! Because customers don't say hi back? Are customers snooty at Larchmont to deserve such apathetic or unfriendly approach entering the store? I'm not the only one who thinks this. Most of my fiends who have entered the store mentioned their stoic attitude.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
I live a block from Larchmont and can be found wandering the street quite often. I've been in and out of this store at least a dozen times. And I have to say each time I've been here I've either been just plainly ignored or rudely ignored. What is with the sales staff here? If they're so annoyed by customers, maybe they shouldn't be in customer service? As for the clothes...yes, they're cute. Yes, they're designer brand and expensive. Being a mom to a boy, I have to say the selection of boys' clothes is a bit lackluster but I guess that's how it is everywhere. Girls' clothes are just cuter. This isn't the only store that stocks 90% of its shelves and racks with girls' clothes. I guess I'll just have to have a girl next! ;) But even then I don't think I'll be shopping here. I don't like to give my money to rude people if I can help it.
google avatar

Dina H.

Yelp
Love, love, love, love this place!!! Popped in while in town over Labor Day 2013 ( little tardy on my review). The selection was fantastic and I felt they carried things other boutiques do not. As for the staff, personally I thought they were FANTASTIC! Not sure what happened to the other people who felt otherwise. Cant' wait to stop in next time my daughter, Stella , husband and I are in town!!
google avatar

Jemima W.

Yelp
Walk through the picket fence dutch door and spend a few minutes perusing the mind boggling selection of children's clothing, accessory and toys. Most clothes, other than standard pieces such as onesies, are a tad on the pricey side, and you could argue that some lines are more trendy than cute, but regardless of what style you're looking at for your little one or for a gift, you're bound to find something at Flicka. They're happy to ship gifts to the far ends of the earth (for an added charge) and the sales people are helpful and knowledgeable.

Meredith Q.

Yelp
Flicka is by far the best children's boutique in Los Angeles. Not only do they have one of a kind clothing and gifts, but the staff is incredible. I am baffled by the people on Yelp who say they get the cold shoulder at this store! Every single person who works in the store is a delight! And OK, you are not going to pay Old Navy prices here, but the clothing is truly special. We buy all of our gifts here, and you can spend as little as $25 for a unique present, or more for something extra special. And if you are looking for a deal, stop by when they have a patio sale: everything is a STEAL! I highly recommend.

Stacey B.

Yelp
Best baby and kids store-great selection and actually have sizes you need! Went to get multiple gifts for clients and a few of my friends....walked out with every gift I needed and wrapped so cute, it's totally worth the drive from the valley (where I live).

Nathalie S.

Yelp
I just met Kristen out and about in Santa Monica and we got to talking, she told me about her children's clothing store, and I couldn't be more excited to go ASAP! She is so friendly, energetic, and passionate about her work! My co-worker is expecting and now I know just where to go to get great customer service and super cute children's clothing!

Nicky C.

Yelp
I went into Flicka last week after my son and I grabbed ice cream up the street and OMG you guys, I wanted to buy EVERYTHING! Such a great assortment of boys clothing. I grabbed a couple of rocker tees, some comfy pants, a game my son was dying for, and even managed to buy birthday presents for the 2 parties we had coming up this weekend! I'm telling you, great selection for boys clothing. It is so hard to buy cool boys clothing and this store had it ALL! The owner, I believe, was so helpful. She could tell my son's size right away by looking at him and knew just what to get for the little girls we needed gifts for. My new fave store!

Elena F.

Yelp
Flicka is a great little shop with a very convenient location (next to Starbucks) in the middle of Larchmont village. It's a great place to get birthday gifts for girls. They have some very pretty and unusual things, along with fun and inexpensive Melissa and Doug toys and some select stuffed animals and puppets. The selection of dresses for girls, little girls under five especially, is great but pricey. They also have lots of cute little trinkets, jewelry boxes, dress-up gear and vintage print birthday cards. In particular, the wrapping is special - the boxes are always so gorgeous, tied with ribbons and a little bunch of toy violets. The package always looks festive and pretty. For boys, honestly, there isn't much. It's a small store, but there is a place in front for kids to entertain themselves, where they keep some toys, books, etc. for playing. Watch for seasonal sidewalk sales. Lots of stuff is half off.

Jill L.

Yelp
This place is so lovely that sometimes my daughter and I come in just to say hello. I really appreciate that no one pushes you to buy something but there is always someone there to help you find the perfect gift. The girls are so sweet, they always let my daughter play in their play area and usually greet us by name. You can always find a beautiful gift or special outfit - we get Easter/birthday/Christmas dresses here - but you can also score a good deal at the sidewalk sales and find fun toys. This is a perfectly curated boutique with a small town neighborhood feel. Keep up the good work.

Susan H.

Yelp
Flicka is a city wide treasure. It's worth the trip even if you do not live in the area. Yesterday I found all the gifts needed to meet my daughter's birthday party schedule. I know presents from Flicka are extra special.

April H.

Yelp
Their merchandise is lovely and varied, but the sales girls looked through me rather than at me. Never once did they ask if I needed help, make eye contact, or even greet me. I had been thinking about purchasing a few items, but decided not to after their lackluster customer service.

dani h.

Yelp
Can someone explain? Do the New Owners read these reviews. All Reviews here seem to agree that the Customer Service at Flicka is sub par...Really there is no service unless you are a celeb in person or on the phone . When Lisa is in (rarely) she is at least knowledgeable about the high end inventory. She for one seems to at least show interest. The young girls are indifferent. The grey haired lady behind the desk rarely looks up and seems bored that you are there to shop. It is just too bad that a shop with such expensive unique baby clothes is manned (or womaned) by a staff of snobby clueless assistants. Part of leaving the Valley to shop in Hancock Park is to experience the novelty and fun of purchasing unique baby gifts. Too bad Flicka does not offer any such moment. Staff up the Street at the various gift shops with baby departments are a far better destination on Larchmont Blvd. Maybe Flicka would be a better fit at a mini mall in Torrance. Just sayin' !!!
