Had a work related gathering here and from start to finish, the team at Flight paid attention to every detail- from food presentation and quality (all top notch!) to making sure everyone was comfortable. The vibe at Flight is thoughtfully put together by a team that knows how to take care of people.

this was my first time here, celebrated a birthday and i was definitely impressed. they have a great selection of wines to try (even some beers) and a menu of small bites including various cheeses and meats. there is also a retail section where you can purchase the wines you like that were included in the flights you try. the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. the overall ambiance of the restaurant is chic and calm. i would definitely come here again to try more wine!

Overpriced and Underwhelming Flight Cleveland has a great concept, but the execution falls flat. Service was slow, pours were tiny for the price, and the wine selections felt basic. Add in a lackluster food offering, and it just didn’t justify the cost. Stylish spot, but not worth a return visit.

My friend and I had a great time here! They have a huge selection of wines to try, and the flights have 3 each. If you're feeling a bit snack-y, I highly recommend trying their meat and cheese plate, as well as their hummus plate. I'm not a wine connoisseur, far from it in fact, but all the wines that we tried were great, and the staff seem very knowledgeable about the selection. If you're with friends and want to hang out in a cozy little spot, this is the place to be.

Beautiful ambiance, decor atmosphere in the Gordon Square neighborhood. Great wine and flight options at very reasonable prices. Cheese and meat platter was really good, enough for 4 people, and a nice selection. Will return and continue to support small business.

What a fantastic place, this was my second visit. Seems to have hit the right note because the place was packed on a Wednesday evening. Affordable wines, especially by the flight of 3. Excellent staff and a vibe that works whether the place is jumping or if you are there all by yourself. Cheers!

The service here is great. The wine selection is phenomenal. Most dry wines. If that's your thing, I highly recommend this place.

Flight is one of my favorite places to visit. They have a great wine selection and the servers have always been professional and knowledgeable. I also love Flight's layout; the bar area and the surrounding seating options are great for a small group of friends or an intimate date night. The space behind the bar is also great for a small gathering and the patio area is a great spot to hangout on a nice day!

Disclaimer, this review is a few weeks old*** Visited in a group setting. Was not my first choice as I don't drink wine often. Couples event with the Mrs. Meaning I'm required to attend. I found myself enjoying the experience despite my general distaste for wine bars. Quiet on the inside which I can appreciate, fast service and a large selection. I also will admit I spent a decent chuck of the experience watching the Michigan State game. This eliminated any awkward silences or annoying conversations as I could just watch the TV and ignore the world. I applaud Flight for its dedication to entertainment. I might be back, wine drinkers will certainly have an enjoyable visit.

The flights were interesting and overall really tasty. I felt like it was a generous pour that worked out to a little more than 1 glass total which was reflected in the pricing as well. The decor is really cute. We had a group of 7 able to sit down immediately with no reservation on a Saturday night. The music was great and not too loud. Service wasn't the most attentive, I felt like at times I would have liked more water or to get the check faster. The worst part was the cheese board- the menu has a variety of different charcuteries and we assumed by ordering the cheese listing it would have more cheese than other components but I would describe what we got as an average charcuterie. Also had no explanation of the cheeses or other accouterments which didn't really fit with the detail oriented nature of the wine tastings. Overall cute spot for a wine flight if you are looking to try something new, very reasonably priced but underwhelmed by the snack options. Would def come back though! According to the table placard there are a variety of events which could be cool to try.

We had a gallery opening downtown and needed a snack and a glass of wine I had not been at flight in a long time and it was the perfect call on a Thursday night. Easy parking off street in their lot, and the place looks fantastic. Cozy and Uber clean and tidy. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff to help you pick your flight. We watched our charcuterie being artfully crafted while we sipped wine at the bar. Super cozy furniture for more casual and intimate nights out. Lots to love about Flight! I'll definitely be visiting more. Highly recommended

Came here on a Friday night for two and got a spot easily around 8pm. Great classy but cozy atmosphere to enjoy wine and bites. The whole night the place was full but never packed where lines formed which was nice! Service was fantastic. We felt cared for and water was constantly refilled. Wine was delicious with a great variety to choose from. For a better bargain, I think getting the flights are the ways to go relative to the price of a glass of wine. I would say the glass price is a tad pricey but fits the vibe.

Super fun place to meet up with friends or start a date night! Wine flight options and tons of wine options inside to purchase by the bottle. They had a fantastic patio and offered terrific service. Flight had variety of options from all variations of wine and a few beers on tap too! Will be returning to try a few more wines and a small plate too!

If you're looking for a spot to take a date, a friend in town visiting, or just get yourself a nice glass of wine, this is the spot. As the name implies, their flights are excellent. Centered around a theme like sparkling, you'll get a few glasses of a style to try and compare. Servers have always been super helpful in guiding me to a flight I would enjoy, and knowledgeable about the flavor profiles of the wines. Their snacks are also yummy. A nice little meat and cheese board is great to pair with some wine. And if that's not enough, they have an amazing assortment of bottles in the shop! I was guided to a perfect sparkling for a friend's birthday that was tasty and at my ideal price point. Hot tip: when the weather is nice, their outdoor patio is a dream. They'll bring a water bowl out for your pup, and you can sit and sip a flight in the sunshine.

This space had me at hello with its black and white patterns outside. I decided to attend a friend's private event in this space this week. They did a great job! The staff is kind and very prompt to getting a drink in your hand. They offer flights, it's their namesake after all, of wine that you can try! I stuck with full glasses of the same thing, a pinot noir, all night. I loved the decor inside and I'm looking forward to enjoying a drink on the patio at a later date. I would recommend this place for dates. The seating is perfect for lounging and chatting. And if you're done lounging and catching, you can just buy a bottle and head out! Would recommend.

Fun spot for a sampling of different wines along with a variety of small-plate snacks to accompany your drink(s). I like how they "packaged" wines together in a theme, offering you samples from a specific region or country. The snack options are limited, but offer a nice variety of items that pair well with wine, such as olives, a charcuterie plate, etc. There are also a few dessert options available as well.

This place is the cutest and perfect to grab a drink/hang out. They have a very extensive wine list but I loved the concept of their wine flights, which let you taste a few types and especially good if you're feeling indecisive or noncommittal. I tried the Netflix and Chile (a good combo If you prefer reds), which was fun to sample and my friends ordered some of their other flights, which they all seem to enjoy! They have some snack plates and charcuterie boards available as well - I would definitely try one next time I visit. The staff was super friendly and everyone was taking appropriate COVID precautions.

I will be back, already told my mom and her friends they need to come here next time with their friends. We got to sit in the booth and enjoy our flights, champagne bongs and treats! I got the s'mores which was a soothing experience as you cook the marshmallows over a candle flame, which does work. Only con is it takes a little longer but definitely still easy to do and end result is 10/10. Loved then time we had here and the staff was so friendly and all took turns waiting on us and ensuring we had everything we needed

This place is super cute with mismatched furniture where you can sit and drink wine. They also have same flights. You can either get a pre arranged flight or make your own or you just get a glass of wine. They also have a bar area. They do have a snacks menu. I didn't try any of their snacks. I had the Way down past south the rio grande flight. I loved the wines. They were dry just like I like them. My boyfriend had the sake flight and he was impressed. I can see how this is a nice place to hang out with friends

We went there on a Friday night and it was fairly empty. The place felt stuffy and unwelcoming and the furniture wasn't comfortable. Stop by for a fun Champagnebong and keep it moving.

I hesitate to write this review because Flight is a neighborhood gem and I also don't want people to know and crowd the place. Ultimately, the people need to know that Flight is lovely, the people are wonderful, and it deserves to be a staple of Gordon square. 1. wines - Excellent. I drink A LOT of wine (not to be a snob). I'm always delighted and surprised by Flight's selections. Can't go wrong with any of the flights. 2. Customer service - These people are really lovely. So kind to their customers, knowledgeable, and just fun to be around. Bonus: $5 for the s'mores plate and you make your own s'mores. My partner is annoyed it's 5$ for 4 tiny smores, but I believe this is fair. Vibe: Cool, lgbt+ friendly, date night friendly, bring your parents on a night out friendly, post yoga class friendly. Parking: probably street parking available out back, but I just walk there because I'm close by.

Flight Cleveland is amazing! We stopped in on a whim and made a dinner out of cheese and wine. Fine by me! Pro tip, there is a small parking lot with free parking behind Flight Cleveland. The spots aren't the easiest to negotiate, but off street free parking is a huge plus. Flight Cleveland is a hip comfortable place that offers up small bites, wine flights, wines by the glass, and beer. We tried three flights, the Viva Iberico, Pinot Pinot Pinot, and Can you say that again? They were all fantastic and our three favorite wines of the evening came one each from all of the flights. For the wine nerds among us, they also include cards with information on the wine, tasting notes, and a price for the bottle with each wine in the flight. We also tried the We Like Cheese cheese board with five cheeses. At $20, I initially thought this was on the pricey side, but after I saw how much cheese we got, I totally changed my mind! This is a TON of high quality cheese! We also took a walk around the wine shop after our cheese and wine flights. We were so happy to see they had a hard to find Basque wine, txakolina. Yay! We can almost never find this wine in the states and were so happy to take home a bottle. Flight Cleveland has a great selection of wines for purchase by the bottle and is a fantastic place to meet friends for some wine and munchies!

Such a great spot in Gordon Square for all wine lovers to enjoy, including me! I came here when they first opened and loved the decor, ambiance and the wine selections. This is just what Gordon Square needed and they couldn't have picked a better neighborhood. I tried the flight of red blends and really liked them all. I even bought a bottle in the wine shop of one that I liked the best. That is my favorite part about Flight. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, my red blend flight was only $12. This makes it even more appealing since they are considerate of people's budgets and will keep them coming back for more. Can't wait to watch this place succeed and become more popular as they get more customers! Cheers to Flight!

Great spot in Gordon Square! The space provides a laid back but casual space to come with friends and relax. The design and flow of Flight Cleveland is gorgeous. The bar area reminds me of a Gatsby type era. I've been twice now and highly recommend getting the side of nuts with any wine pairing! My out of town friends love coming here to enjoy wine that we never have tried before. If you liked a wine you tried, you can take the info card with you or simply purchase a bottle right there! Another perk of this place is the parking located behind the building. Can't wait to bring more friends here to try different flights.

I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon specifically for the wine and waffle pairing they were promoting on social media. I'd say my first experience was A-Ok. I got street parking (be careful, if you park in the small lot and take a spot meant for a tenant you'll need to move or get towed). You can sit at the bar, at a table, or cozy up on the couch. A bit chilly inside though and I was wearing a sweatshirt. You can do flights, glasses, or get a bottle from their store and drink it there for a $12 corkage fee. No happy hour. Limited food selection (think nuts, olives, cheese/meat boards). Staff is friendly, patient, attentive, and helpful. I love exploring all of the drink/food pairings around Cleveland. Usually you buy a ticket on Eventbrite that includes everything then just show up and get your goods and enjoy. Here things were a bit different. No advanced sales (no need to, only a handful of people there). Waffles were a separate purchase from the wine. I'd prefer one transaction, but not a big deal. I was expecting this to be like the pairing events I am used to attending (beer/donuts, beer/pie, wine/cookie dough, etc) but this was more like come drink wine and if you feel like it we have this guy selling waffles in the other room. Not much of a collaboration between the products it seemed (no wine infused batter/syrup). If you did decide to get waffles the wait time was awkwardly long between getting served your wine flight and getting the waffles. I understand, waffles are made fresh and he was on his own with only two waffle makers, I just wanted to enjoy the drinks and waffles at the same time because I thought this was a pairing. So I just sipped on water and browsed Reddit while I waited. *Waffles were made by Hungry Bear $10 - Three quarters of a waffle all with different toppings. Love the idea, but they hardened up fast and I broke a tine on the plastic fork they gave me. I found myself wishing there was more sauce or syrup I could add to soften up the bites. The waffle with bacon and blue cheese whip cream was the best. *Through Rosé Colored Glasses Flight $11.50 - Three 2oz samples of different Rosé. Each sample comes with a little card providing details about the wine. I did not care for any these. Usually if you're suggesting a specific wine be paired with a specific food it's because it brings out the flavors and elevates the experience. I was left wondering if they really thought rosé and waffles paired well or if they were just promoting their new rosé wines? *Chambong Tapiz Torrontes $7 - Like a beer bong but with wine/champagne, so classier? A gimmick, but fun to try. So yeah, my first experience at Flight Cleveland was not the best, but it wasn't a bad one either. Perhaps just some misunderstanding over what they advertised as a pop up/pairing, and my experience with pairings made me have higher expectations. Also, they didn't make the waffles, but they partnered with the vendor so it all gets included in the review. However, I will definitely be giving them another shot. Now that I know the setup I'd like to try them again, but without their recommendations and no pop ups. Flights of red wine with a cheese board while relaxing on their sofa sounds like a better time. Plus I think this place would offer a warmer/more intimate vibe if you came in the evening with friends or a date. Come in with a focus on wine and no expectations and I am sure you'll enjoy yourself!

I had a great few experiences at Flight. It is a really fun pace to go for a date, low key night with a friend or a day drink spot. The premade flights are very creative, change often and are reasonably priced. I tried the special peach sangria and it was great, not too sweet and had a little kick from the bourbon. They also carry chocolates from another local location Sweet Beans. I really enjoyed the pairing. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Shout out to Lindsay and Flight for a great holiday shopping experience. I wanted to buy some bottles of wine for holiday gifts, but wanted some expert advice - rather than just wandering around the grocery store liquor department like I usually do.... So I messaged Lindsay with a price range and an idea of the kinds of wine I was considering. She reached out IMMEDIATELY with some options and had special ordered them for me by the next day. I was able to call in payment and appreciated the contactless pick up. Could not have been easier or more efficient. And it was great to support a local business. Lindsay was a pleasure to work with.

Was so excited for this place to open and it did not disappoint! The menu is simple but full of variety. Pick a pre-chosem flight or make your own. Or just have a sample. Or a glass. You know what? Make it a bottle. The food is wine-worthy snacks. Cheese, charcuterie, nuts, olives, and chocolate. We shared 2 flights and a cheese plate. The flights were in threes and served in a stemless wine glass and presented in a simple black wooden box. Each wine had its own little card that reminded me of Trivial Pursuit cards with tasting notes and the retail price of a bottle. We enjoyed taking turns reading the cards to each other as we tasted. But the sommeliers are there to help too, if you wanted, and we found everyone to be quite friendly. The cheese was also delicious and was paired with some olives, dried fruits, pickled veggies, honey, and some breads. The place is super cute with exposed brick walls and plenty of seating. Victorian loungey chairs, loveseats, traditional tables, and of course, the bar. Which is where we sat, because that's usually my favorite choice. The little retail section had so many great selections. A manager mentioned its haphazardly displayed on purpose. Meaning its not separated by wine type or region. The idea is to discover something new. He did say if you really want to be pointed to something specific, they can help. The wines were all reasonably priced, so go ahead and buy a few. My understanding is you can also pick a wine off the shelf and drink it there for a nominal corkage fee. So many options! Really enjoyed my first visit and will be adding Flight to my regular rotation.

Beautiful patio and delicious cheese board. Large wine selection and friendly staff. We had the sangria and rose, perfect place for Gordon Square.

They had good outdoor seating that was spaced out so I felt safe. Be prepared to use your phone to look at the wine flight menu as they do not have physical menus available. The wine flights and experience was good overall though slightly overpriced for the minimal amount of wine that you get.

Well if you like too wine down like myself Your going to love this adorable wine boutique. The atmosphere is perfect for date night or catching up with friends. The aesthetic is beautiful and very eclectic with a modern flare. You will have countless wines to choose from. and please try the five cheeses charcuterie platter it was a delightful experience. #TSFOODIE.

Love the atmosphere inside and outside! I enjoyed trying a number of different wines, and the flight names are so entertaining: "sip me baby, one more time" and "natty flight." Service was fantastic. Our server was able to provide recommendations, which I really appreciated. This is a great spot for a date or to catch up with some friends!

Beautiful Urban minimalist atmosphere and decor. Gorgeous patio in the up and coming Gordon Square District. We came for a clambake catered event. Usually they have wine flights and cheese boards. Not a full scale restaurant. We bought a bottle of wine from their retail section. Only wine flights available with table service. The corkage fee was $15/ bottle which seemed very high. Do they want you to buy a bottle or not? I am used to corkage fees at places that have no liquor license to sell??!!!? So they opened our bottle of wine and did not return to pour subsequent glasses? We went for a clambake catered by Hungry Bear. Awesome bake. Mix of clams and mussels. Roasted corn and carrot. Great service to table. I was impressed. I liked the wine bar but have a hard time justifying the high corkage fee. Not a huge selection of wines. What exactly is their business? Enjoyed my evening but wouldn't come back to pay the high fee when other places just swerve the marked up bottle price.

Finally another wine bar in Cleveland. This place is much bigger than you would expect. However despite the white walls and bright lights, there is a coziness to this place. I like that you can get tastings and they come with a descriptive card to let you learn more about each wine. I also enjoyed their charcuterie and cheese boards. My book club meets here and it is just the perfect little spot.

Went for a fun girls night and was not disappointed! Wine prices ranged which made it affordable. The flights were a good size and allowed us to taste all different flavors. Will definitely be coming back!

We went to Flight last Saturday evening to check it out, and have a glass of wine. We found the atmosphere nice, but the foul musty smell like mould was unpleasant. The server was good, but they they insisted they take a credit card before we were served. We were at a table, not the bar. The four of us felt like they thought we would run out without paying. This was off-putting to say the least. The policy of a $12. corking charge seemed high, as we bought the bottle from them. Maybe if they worded the charge differently it wouldn't have felt like gouging. Probably will not go back as there are many other places to go and not feel offended.

Wow! I've been here twice and got great service both times. The ppl who work there are knowledgeable and not pushy. My party and I were talking and ended up going past closing and they never kicked us out. Which was really nice cause we hadn't realized they closed. Also the wines were great and the flights are reasonably priced! Some are as cheap as 6 dollars!

Omg this place is magical. The interior is beyond cute and they have a wine shop attached with very affordable wine options! Came here on a Wednesday with some girlfriends for some wine and charcuterie. I tried the fizzy flight which consisted of champagne and brut rose. I loved all of the options. The cheese and meat selection was also fantastic. Shown in my pics is the larger cheese option (5 cheese and 5 meat)

Flight Cleveland is hands down Ah-MAZING! I was visiting town for the first time and luckily stumbled across this fine establishment. The decor is super welcoming and the place has great vibes. Their flight offerings are ideal if you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new, they give the cutest little descriptor cards with each glass. Not only do they have a great selection of wine but they offer the most delightful meat & cheese platters. The best part was meeting the owner Lyndsy(sp?) and bartender Kevin, they truly care about what they're doing and were so warm and hospitable. Now go support this awesome woman owned bizz!

What a cool place! Awesome atmosphere inside as well as a great outdoor patio. Entire staff was excellent, so friendly. I got the raspberry lychee sangria and my husband got the fizzical therapy flight (sparkling). It was all outstanding! Such a gem

Love it. Everything you want from your neighborhood wine bar. I've been for several date nights as well as just meeting friends over a glass or two. The space is smartly furnished with an airy yet comfortable and cozy feel. All the staff are impressively knowledgeable and can steer any wine weary patron to something they'll enjoy without the usual wino-lingo-snobbery. The cards that come with each glass in your tasting flight are free to take to help you remember your favorites. They've helped me! I've been back to pick up bottles for host gifts and the recommendations have been spot on! Plus, they're super affordable. Retail bottles start under 10 so they've got something for any budget.

This is a very cute place with comfortable group seating and a nice bar. Great date night atmosphere. When my date and I got there, we were promptly greeted...and that's where it ends basically. I had to grab a menu myself. The menu being a sheet of paper with Q codes you have to scan to see their offerings. And their offerings are very small appetizer plates of pickles, olives, things of that nature. I wasn't expecting dinner so that wasn't the issue. The issue was I wasn't offered the "menu" and I was wondering what would someone do in here who didn't know how to read a Q code menu? Ask a bartender? Well, that's another issue. We were very much entertained by two barbacks who stood in front of us, completely ignoring us, while they slowly polished glassware and gossiped about the customers. Not us, though, because, well, I'll just say it-we were "older" - and by older, I mean we are over 45. I had to ask for a water glass refill. We had to ask for, well, everything, even the check. When we first had our order taken, though, someone very kindly discussed sake and wine with us but I'm not sure we ever saw her again. Keep in mind, we were sitting at the bar! And the bar wasn't even at full capacity. I'm not expecting to be waited on hand and foot, but when everyone behind the bar continually passes by you and never even glances your way or asks if you need anything additional, well, that lets me know how much you value my business. I couldn't even enjoy the gossip between the employees because I was so annoyed by the lack of customer service. Luckily for me, I had great conversation with my date and we gossiped about the barbacks right in front of them and they didn't even realize it! If you want to be left alone on a couch to flirt with your new date, or you want to be "seen," give it a try. If you'd like to feel your dollar is worth the effort, I would go elsewhere. I've had better service in this post-Covid time.

Flight is located in a fabulous corner location on Detroit- near Spice and Happy Dog, the space has been transformed into a charming and elegant wine bar/wine shoppe and it is a woman-owned business (always a plus and something my friends and I seek out). Excellent service- knowledgeable,patient, kind,and attentive. Flight offers a great and unique selection of wines at the bar and in the shop. We had a cheese and meat plate that was crafted with such detail,almost rendering it too beautiful to eat. Flight would be an impressive first date destination or just a perfect place to meet friends.

Winery experience in a chic space, offering education (if needed) through humourous yet logically-themed flights of wines. Food options limited to snacks, and while the bar has liquor bottles on display, I was not clear if cocktails were an option. Really enjoyed the experience here even though wine is not my first or second choice for alcohol.

I really wanted to like this place. I love the concept but we had such an awkward interaction with our bartender, who seemed much older and maybe the owner (??). When we asked for explanation on the menu "Can you please recommend a good flight of reds??" "They're all good. That's why I picked them." Errkay!! Maybe true but no need to be crass. We only really liked one of the six wines we tried. I'll try it again sometime, but am not in a hurry to come back.

We came here on a busy Saturday night. They are known for their flights which are small samples of three wines. Super friendly staff and great atmosphere to hang out! Wish they had a bigger snack menu, so make sure you eat beforehand.

Got the ones with Malbec and merlot. I preferred the one with Malbec. I do wish there was a Riesling offered and more of a fondue with pound cake offering

Beautifully done. What a lovely place! The staff is knowledgeable, kind and approachable. The decor is beautiful. The wine options are abundant and delicious. I had two pre-chosen flights and each glass was paired with a card which described the wine (name, region, description) and gave you the price for a bottle. Menu is playful and abundant. We had the 5 meats and 5 cheeses boards and were not disappointed. Will I be back? Yes, please! Can't wait!

Flight is the gem of GSP! I stopped in with friends on a Friday night to have some wine and catch up. Everyone was really friendly and engaging, and the wine flights don't disappoint! Grab a cheese and meat tray for a real treat! The atmosphere in Flight is fabulous in that you feel like you have your own cozy nook wherever you choose to land. They have curated a lovely and eclectic mix of furnishings which only add to the coziness. Close by parking too!

A former colleague and I met here to enjoy a glass of wine. The atmosphere was great. Stylish, modern, open and airy with a lot of natural light. I like how each flight came with cards representing the wine and also the bottled price should you choose to take a bottle home. We enjoyed nuts, a three cheese tray, and olives to accompany our wine. If you haven't checked this place out yet, I would add it to your list. Excellent service and reasonable prices. Checked out flight for the first time with some friends and was super impressed. Great ambience and I got the "get fizzy with it" flight and it was really good. The server was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We also got a cheese plate and it was yummy. Highly recommend this place it's super cool
