The location, down south customer service and taste of the food was great. Cheesesteak was solid. The standard breakfast would was fresh and tasty. We happened to go on a day that they were having a flying old military planes and a festival( Really see if you can go on that day) The energy is palpable and the decor is really wonderful. You’re in for a real treat if your Military or law enforcement. The only criticism was portion size which was on the smaller side. I could have had the same meal twice sitting there no problem. I’d still absolutely go back.

Google
Food was really good. Sausage above average and home fries about average. Coffee was exceptional. Coffee cup was empty for over 5 minutes (timed it). Lots of staff that could be better utilized to help sever.

Google
Food came out hot but wasn’t anything special. We ordered two of the 222 specials, the locs on a bagel, and the eggs benedict. Also, there was about a 30 minute wait for 4 people. The extra seating is in the hallway outside of the restaurant. The bathroom is clean.

Google
Family of 5. Food was okay. Service was decent. Ate at a plastic folding table. Place smelled like a bar urinal when I first walked in. Spent $75, plus $20 tip, which was a lot more than what I was expecting. Cool aviator atmosphere. Lots of history.

Michael Horst

Google
Excellent breakfast! We fly here regularly, and it's always a hit.

Sandra Dawes

Google
A wonderful place to enjoy breakfast! Service has been great each time and the food is delicious. Simple fare served well by a great team. Call ahead if you have a bigger party for an easier wait.

Google
So we never ate there, it is a small place. We had a group of 10 and were told we would be lucky to get 2 tables if not 3. There was already a wait of at least an hour so we left. Whatever the owner and chefs are doing, keep it up, we want to try it next time we are in the area.

Sandy Ravage

Google
Came here on a Sunday morning with a party of 8. Was quickly serviced as they opened up a folding table to accommodate the extras right away. Food was great. Minus 2 stars on service as our waitress was only available to take our orders and give us our drinks and food. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't expect refills if you get this waitress. Otherwise, great atmosphere and I would come back if in the area.

Yelp
The boss had 2 eggs, bacon, pancakes and potatoes while I had the chipped beef on a biscuit with 2 eggs over easy. The guy sitting next to us said he comes everyday. If I lived closer by, I would too. The boss and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was made perfectly and the service was friendly and prompt. Prices were incredibly reasonable. Right next to the NAS, Naval Air Station, museum, the diner has a bunch of paraphernalia related to the NAS and those that serve. Top notch breakfast place. If you eat here, you will love it.

Yelp
I've never been to a diner or restaurant where someone helicopters in and grabs breakfast. That totally happened while visiting @flightdeckdiner in Cape May. How cool is that? Not only can you get a good, simple breakfast at a very reasonable price, but it's an awesome spot for kids too. Model airplanes are hanging from the ceilings, and police badges from pretty much every NJ town are displayed on a wall. Service was fast, table turnover was quick, and once again, everything we ate was good! My plate came with 3 eggs any way I wanted them, home fries, a protein of choice (I chose scrapple), and a couple of pancakes. The other dish is a veg omlette with home fries (also came with toast). I wish I had a chance to try the creamed chipped beef, hopefully next time! Watch some planes take off and land while drinking your diner styled coffee and eat a classic affordable breakfast in Cape May! When you're done, you can even swing by @capemaybrewco for a 6 pack!

Yelp
Flight Deck Diner was fine, but it's certainly not a destination. I guess it's rated so highly because the prices are low, and because the location and flight theme are novel. That's fine, but eggs are overcooked and underseasoned. Home fries are bland. There are a lot of great diners in South Jersey. Don't go out of your way to visit this one

Yelp
This is a wonderful "locals" establishment. Took my brother and sister-in-law here last week. We all had delicious food, which was very reasonably priced. Something for everyone! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Everything about this place was great. Nice little dinner where you can watch some small aircraft arriving and departing. Wait staff was pleasant and on the ball. Food was delivered quickly and correctly . Prices are very reasonable. I was not expecting the large variety of food options . Was quite nice to be offered lunch and breakfast with so many choices on each. Definitely recommend

Yelp
Flight deck is a good place to eat. Portions can be better but all in all this place is good the staff is out standing . It's more for the youngsters to see planes land and take off . I'd say increase your Portions and watch you take off more!!! The staff is great hope they listen to this review or find a bigger place for seatting.. good luck

Rita M.

Yelp
Such a cute Aviation themed diner, excellent Breakfast food & very friendly hostess & our waitress was wonderful. Worth the trip!

Yelp
Cool place to get breakfast or lunch. They close at 1400, so I recommend getting there by 1245 because they are always packed. Service is friendly and fast. For me the portions are perfect for breakfast and lunch, I left full but not so stuffed that I felt like I needed a nap Most tables have a view of the runway, while we were there we saw to small Jets land, 1 small Jet take off and multiple single engine plans landing and taking off. If your a history buff and you like good food this is your place, the restaurant is located in the lower level of the WW2 Wildwood Naval Air Station Air Traffic Control Tower. Either before or after you eat you can visit the museum dedicated to an Era long since past.

Yelp
Great diner for breakfast. Large menu, great prices . Sometimes a wait for a seat, but when you are sitting the server is fast and efficient. I am not crazy about potatoes with my bacon and eggs so I ask for fruit instead and their bowl of fresh sliced strawberries, bananas and blueberries is a delicious alternative. The view of the airport and planes landing and taking off just adds to the experience.

Yelp
Service here just sucks! Don't expect a hello, or even to be acknowledged. Food is mediocre. Nothing special. I went twice, and different servers, same attitude. There are too many places nearby to eat, than a cup of frustration.

Kyle M.

Yelp
No clue why the reviews of this place are so good. It's way too small, very tight seating, food is just ok, service was mediocre. We showed up to a short wait. We were told 20 minutes and it seemed like it was a little less. Sat down at a 4 person table but our kid was told he couldn't sit next to his mom because they needed a walkway between tables. She wasn't exactly nice about it either. Then the waitress told my kid they had chocolate milk when they didn't. Then we ordered the food. It was just ok. Nothing special. Diner food. We were then overcharged for our pancakes. They hand calculate the total and she was not very good at math. Jerry Springer was on the TV that they made my child face the entire time we were at the restaurant. Won't be going back.

Yelp
Great food Great Service Great Ambiance Highly recommended this place if you are ever in the Cape May area!

Yelp
A fantastic little gem tucked away at the Cape May Airport. The staff is friendly. Food was quick and delicious. Great diner selections. We were there on St. Patrick's Day and they had brilliant holiday specials. The entire place was airplane themed and you have a nice view of planes. Love the counter seats too! Check this place out.

Yelp
The Flight Deck Diner is one of my parents favorite places to grab breakfast and lunch, they're frequent flyers. I finally had a chance to stop by and enjoy breakfast here during the off season & I'm a fan. The Flight Deck is clean, the staff is friendly & accommodating, the menu is large, the food is good and the place is unique being right next to the airport. I had the crunch french toast and I'm not sure I'd ever order anything else - it was DELICIOUS.
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Great food and friendly atmosphere. The staff works extremely hard. God bless them. It's a terrific and reasonably priced breakfast. It can get crowded during busy times. Big breakfast so come with an appetite!
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to go to breakfast. I always look forward to going here. There is always a wait for a table and for good reason. This place is awesome. We always sit at the counter because it makes the wait half the time. All the food here is fresh and well prepared. The prorations are plentiful. Great service cool atmosphere great food. If you haven't been here yet you need to go. You are missing out !
google avatar

Yelp
Flight deck diner could easily become my go to breakfast joint. It's very unassuming but everyone works hard and everything is clean. The coffee was good and hot. I had the pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Very tasty! My son had the burger and it was very good.

Karen L.

Yelp
The food was pretty good, the service was fast, and we enjoyed a nice view of the airplanes.

Christine S.

Yelp
I love this diner. Very through back, food is excellent and service is excellent. We just moved down here full time and it is our go to place to eat breakfast.
google avatar

Monica F.

Yelp
Cute little diner on the air strip. Very crowded but quick turnover and service was wonderful. Food was plentiful and not too pricy.

D N.

Yelp
Stopped by this diner on our way back home after a trip to Cape May. Loved the hometown feel of this place and seeing all tbe planes was absolutely so cool. Service was great. We sat at the bar stools for a true diner experience. We had mozzarella sticks, burger and breakfast platter. Food was what you'd expect from your typical diner and we enjoyed it.

Jasmine Z.

Yelp
This is a must-try experience if you're ever in Cape May. The diner sits right next to a flight terminal, so you'll see and hear actual planes taking off or landing during your meal. We came on a Saturday morning and had to wait 10 or so minutes to be seated. We absolutely adored the decor and memorabilia dedicated to everything flight/plane related. My friend got the waffle, which he said was standard, and I got a breakfast combo with a side of bacon. Standard diner food, very filling, quick service, and absolutely nothing to complain about!
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
Good cheap breakfast and lunch place. Fun to watch the planes and eat. Pretty fast service. Wait can be a little while

Margaret K.

Yelp
Stopped in here at the recommendation of a friend. Walking in at first glance the ambiance was just awful. Looked like a cafeteria. We sat at the counter. Very interesting to look at the walls if you are seated at the counter. Our waitress was awful, very inattentive and not paying attention to us at all, focused all of her service on a local. Thank goodness someone was there to pick up the slack. Our breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stop in again if we are in the area.

Eri U.

Yelp
This little breakfast / lunch place is not so easy to find but well worth the trip. Breakfast was great and a great price for being down the shore.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in for lunch about 45 minutes before closing on a Monday and the place was busy (always a good sign). We weren't the last ones in either as people just kept coming. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered the kids cheese burger with fries, chili burger with fries and I had 1/2 and 1/2'with the seafood bisque and grilled cheese with tomato. Everything was good, the fries and the soup were my favorite. Prices and portions can't be beat. Cant wait to come back for breakfast.

Julia F.

Yelp
Never had a bad breakfast here. The food is consistently delicious and the decor is great! It can busy and is slightly on the small side, but service is great and it's worth the wait. They have great specials that are reasonably priced as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered a quick breakfast for takeout on a Saturday in July. Cheese omelette with tots and toast. $7 and it was pretty good. Good portion and I didn't wait long. It was kind of confusing when I picked up; 3 people asked me what I was picking up before they found my order. I'll be back for takeout again.

Yelp
Amazing. Food and coffee. I'd love to have the name and brand of coffee that you serve it's amazing . One of the employees told me the brand was, but I can't remember.
google avatar

Melanie O.

Yelp
Flight deck is the best place!! Our server Tisha was great! The lady checking us out was so friendly. Breakfast here is always amazing. Their omelettes are my favorite. I get so excited about their food I don't remember to take photos of it. Simply the best service, food and atmosphere! Thank you!

Yelp
We ate at the flight deck diner as a recommendation from a friend. The place is way off the main road and in the middle of an airport. It's in a weird spot and not the easiest to find. We arrived today for breakfast and were sat immediately. The food was decent, nothing to write home about. We ordered the Italian omelette and the western omelette. The food came out ridiculously fast, before the drinks. The western omelette was good and packed with ham and veggies. The Italian said it had sausage but there wasn't much if any in there. We did split and order of sausage and that was good. My biggest issue was the service. The waitress walked by numerous times without checking on us and not giving refills. At one point we didn't have butter for toast, we needed to flag down a busser. We needed refills on coffee and again she was at the counter talking to the regulars. The food is okay and the prices are fair but the service lacks. Not sure if I would return.

Yelp
Nice diner inside historic airport complex. Get there early because it gets packed during weekend mornings. Not a fan of the overflow lobby tables.

Vanessa B.

Yelp
Wanting a homemade breakfast? This is a great place from hash browns, scrapple, waffles, to fresh fruit. Such a wide variety. Great choice!
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
Great dining option located on the grounds of the Cape May airport - Very clean, great friendly service with quality food/reasonable prices - Was solo this time around and sat at the counter - Enjoyed creamed chipped beef over two over-easy eggs all on top of two biscuits - had tots instead of home fries - scrapple piece on the side - one thing I noticed is that they must change their fryer oil regularly bc the tots tasted very crispy and "clean" - open only till 2PM

Laura M.

Yelp
Charming small diner. Food was good, service was friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the mementos.

Lilly C.

Yelp
We had breakfast which was delicious and ordered 2 Mandarin chicken salads to go, unfortunately we when opened the salads at dinner time we found the Mandarin oranges missing. It was still good but we did miss those anticipated orange slices.
google avatar

Jenny Z.

Yelp
Was there with a party of 7 and all the meals were very good for a diner. I ordered the Taylor ham, eggs, and cheese on a toasted bagel which was really good. The location is also cute which is right near the airport and museum.
google avatar

Holly A.

Yelp
This place is BOMB. No pun intended It's tucked away in the far corner of the place, right next to where the planes take off and land. Don't be deterred as it does not look like a restaurant at first. Follow the stairs up and to the left! I got the Western Omelette with Egg Whites. What I loved about this was that it was no overly loaded with cheese (no matter how much I LOVE cheese), and you could actually taste the flavor of the fresh peppers, onions, and ham. It was served with a nice scoop of simple potatoes, and was oh so delicious! The best part about this place is the service and the prices! Every single person that works here is so nice. Our coffees and waters NEVER got below half, and we were always asked if we needed anything else. If you're in the Cape May area, you must try this place! I can't wait to go back for lunch! PS-Get there before 2 because they close early!
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
Fast service, good diner food. Coffee was Decent too. Located right next to the airport and Naval museum.

John F.

Yelp
Definitely worth stopping, this is a great Diner! Tucked all the way in the back of the airport area, follow the signs for the "Air Museum" and look left, the Diner is on the ground level of the white frame building all the way back by the runways; GPS gets very confused.
google avatar

Tom F.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere, I like the military and firefighter patches on the wall and like seeing the airplanes

MaryAnn C.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Food came out real quick. Lovely little place and aviation museum is there.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
This was a great little place for breakfast/brunch! It was a little hard to find at first since the gps doesn't take you to the door- only to the property entrance. (It's an airport, but there are signs vaguely directing you toward the diner) Food was awesome! I got the Italian omelette (red peppers, Italian sausage, baby spinach and provolone cheese) My husband got the corn flake crusted French toast and said it was also good. Service was top notch and it seems to be a place where the waitresses know your name! I highly recommend this place for a reasonably priced breakfast!
google avatar

Carl G.

Yelp
Great spot for a reasonable breakfast. Good food, nice service and good views of the airport. Not real big, but plenty of seats for a good breakfast.

Angel C.

Yelp
This was a combination of the view of a beautiful airport and a feeling of stepping back into World War II. I'm very happy I visited this restaurant breakfast was quick clean and fresh. Highly recommend it.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
Small portions, decent diner food. Went a year ago and they had much better things then. They may have new owners.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
A must go! Went with my husband for Sunday morning breakfast. Crowd starts to trickle in at 830. Service is great. The atmosphere is relaxed with a homie feel. Cool naval aviation stuff all around. I like to get the basics the first time I go somewhere new. Well they got the backs down! Eggs were perfectly over easy. Home fries were awesome in my book: red potatoes with salt and pepper. Not heavy on the salt either. Rye toast is real rye, not that soft rye garbage. For us scrapple eaters, they serve hatfield. Not too thick, but not the crispy-chip like style that I make at home. Coffee is strong! My husband got sausage gravy with biscuits and a side of bacon Bacon was perfectly crispy. Let's talk sausage gravy: the husband describes the euphoria of this sausage gravy as "like thanksgiving dinner." Even if you want something else for breakfast, just order a side to taste it. #foodboner This place does not disappoint. Grab an early breakfast. Check out the museum or drive the kids around to look at the airplanes.

Yelp
We loved the Flight Deck! It has a quirky down-to-earth vibe and really friendly servers. The silver dollar pancakes were a huge hit with my kiddos and I loved their version of the Benedict. This will definitely be a must-visit location every time we're vacationing in Cape May!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is definitely a hidden gem. I had the B-52 and it was delicious. My son had the banana walnut French toast, which he demolished. The service was great, and they were very busy.
