Flights Fish and Wings

I’ve tried really hard to like this place. This was my third and final visit. First time I got the ox tails. Which were actually very good. However to me no different than I can make when a I make a chuck roast. This was my first time having ox tails so I don’t see the hype. Like I said they were good but when they taste no different than chuck roast save yourself some money and make a chuck roast. A couple of months ago I tried the whole catfish. And I wanted really hard to like that too, but I couldn’t. It wasn’t cooked quite as hard as I like my fish and not only that had a very muddy taste. I get it, catfish are bottom feeders and tend to have this taste but if you soak them before cooking them then you can get some of that flavor out. And I’m willing to bet they don’t take the time. Well, today was the final time I’ll visit. I ordered a pork chop dinner. And idk why they cooked them so long but they did. The meat was so dry and hard it hurt my mouth to try and eat. I couldn’t finish it. It would have had a great flavor too. But I couldn’t get past how hard it was to eat. Oh and the slaw had a weird taste. The potato salad is good if you like yours on the sweet side. I don’t but I knew it would most likely be that way so I got it anyway bc I can still eat potato salad that is on sweeter side. So that was ok if it’s your thing. I just can’t get over the pork chops though. I wish I could give a better review but at this time I don’t think they deserve such high ratings. I’ve been three different times several months apart all at different times of the day. It’s not a one time thing.

Oh my goodness! The food I got today was excellent! I had catfish, Mac and cheese, cabbage, and cornbread. Delicious! The cabbage was amazing!

The fish and potato salad is what I usually get and it taste great. They give you nice size fish. We always order when we get there and the wait is never long. I’m going to try their soul food Sunday today.

This is the first time I’ve visited flights, I went Sunday after church, I ate the meal in my car because I needed to run errands . I ordered the two piece catfish plate with two sides, which were pinto beans and green beans. I ordered an extra side of hush puppies, they were extra. The catfish was amazing some of the best catfish I’ve ever had. The hot sauce turned my whole piece of Catfish bright red.I don’t like the off-brand hot sauce. (Chefs Quality was the brand ) The side vegetables were warm at best. They were cold by the time I finish them. The hush puppies I think they got from Sysco they were Not worth the extra money. There were no prices anywhere in the store. It was a very nice clean restaurant/ bar, They did a really good job on the inside. The people were great.

I’ve visited flights a total of four times. I’ve been disappointed maybe once and that’s because they were out of a lot of items on the menu. This place is a gem. Good food and good drinks. Customer service is also great. I’ve had the fish, burger, fried okra, green beans and spaghetti. Everything was really good with the exception of the spaghetti. I've tried it twice and it was not good. I won’t order that again but they have a lot of great tasting items on the menu.

Love it here!! Jordan is always pleasant and professional. Ms. Stephanie was very kind and attentive our entire stay. Some of the BEST food we have had!! Crispy, well seasoned fish, delicious sides... it is amazing! We will definitely be back.

Went here two days in a row the food and customer service was consistent some of the best catfish in DeSoto County

I decided to give this place a second try. Me and a coworker ordered food for carryout and he went to pick it up. While paying she asked was he gonna tip her. He said no because it was just a carry out order. Her attitude immediately changed foe the worse. There were several people who were waiting on food. There was no air conditioning and it was hot. They have no fountain drinks or tea only bottled or canned drinks. The food wasn't much better. The food was subpar at best. It was WAY overpriced. There was no seasoning on the food. I asked for cocktail sauce yet they don't serve that. They said they serve yum yum sauce. I thought you served fish and seafood not Chinese food. The hushpuppies were pre-made store bought yet they were the best part of the meal. As this was the second time I've had a bad experience I won't be back. I will make sure my friends and family avoid this place.
