This place is immaculate!!! Me and my mom went there for the first time and wanted to go get seconds 😂😫. We are foodies so we be trying places and it’s been a min since we came across some good food and money worth until yesterday😋 Reasonable and good prices for fulfilling amount of food. Nice and hot. Great costumer service! I look forward to coming back sometime soon. Ouuu and the mac and cheese is delicious , I ain’t had some good Mac and cheese in a min.

This was our first time hearing or seeing this place. The mac n cheese was so bomb. It has a hint of garlic flavor. And it was so cheesy. OMG. Never taste it like that in my life. The fried chicken was on point and seasoned perfect. It was juicy and tender. The shrimp were okay. Not much flavor but good once you added the Chrystal Hit Sauce they provided. Will return for more. Great experience and value for the quality in the food you getting.

This place is absolutely finger lickin good! Prices may seem steep, but the food quality and quantity is well worth it. Call ahead if you dont want to wait(I never do and usually don't wait more than 20mins).

OMG I was blown away. FOOD WAS JUST DELICIOUS. I GOT THE OG PLATE , came with fried lobster, salmon, shrimp, on a bed of jasmine rice and tasty mac n cheese with some soulful greens. Boy I'm telling you it had my soul Flippin just reading the menu. I'm getting the kings plate next time. Definitely worth the trip and prices are decent. A bit expensive but good food cost. Thanks guys I went straight to sleep afterwards. Best food experience in oakland so far.

Really really good food, save for a cheat day, LOL. Hearty portions, great price. Sometimes there's a wait, but well well worth it. Mom's and Pop's shop field, very clean on the inside, and smells very clean for seafood. Excellent meal. Go early when restaurant opens and, or on less busy days Tuesday and Wednesday.

This was my first time at Flip N Soul. It's a little hole in the wall, down the street from Highland Hospital in Oakland. It used to be a Filipino restaurant. Today's menu was posted on Instagram and after reading other reviews, I was glad to see lobster on the menu. I tried calling to see if I could place an order over the phone, but no one answered the phone. Not even a greeting with hours or explaining there are no phone orders. (Management: you might want to change that) Ok, on to the review of the food. The menu is posted on a white board in the window. Customers are not allowed inside, you place your order through a window. After ordering, it took 45 minutes before my food was ready. I ordered garlic crab, fried lobster with garlic noodles. Overall the food was really good but the lobster was my favorite. Nicely battered with a good crunch but not overdone. The crab had a nice lemon garlic seasoning and the noodles were a little dry but tasty. The prices are $$ but I understand the high cost of shellfish. I will be back to try some of the other offerings, but will definitely get the lobster again! Delish!

We stopped here on our honeymoon back in June 2021. I still think about about this food almost every day. Hands down the best greens, mac n cheese, and yams I have EVER eaten. It is magical. I just want to move to Oakland and live upstairs so I can't have it all the time. 😍😍😍

My dude and I have been referring to this place as "That Smell-Good Corner Spot" for months. There isn't a sign, they don't have a website (they DO have an IG). You are only going to know you've made it, when the musk of an angel fills your nostrils. I don't know if it is science-magic or witchcraft, but I don't care. It's delicious, put it in my body.
